Bama Lanes

Good old bama lanes. I have gone here on occasion since I was a kid. It's been here forever and I'm glad to see it's still doing ok. Somewhat of a time capsule as many things are still exactly the same but that's not always a negative. Food and drinks are pricier than average but are good. Paid $4.40 for a diet Pepsi. Bowling is affordable but the rental shoes are somewhat beat. Security patting you down at the door is needed but worrisome. The Friday and Saturday night cosmic bowling from 9-12 might be the

Don't waist your time or money!!!! The bowling alley in general needs a complete overhaul. Lanes are in horrible shape, pin setters don't work properly, if you roll a gutter ball it will give credit for knocking down 2-3 pins, balls looked like they had went through a war zone and priced way too high for quality of experience. Honestly 1 star was way to generous but I will give them ?????????? for completely disappointing me on a level never reached before. Take a bow you deserve it!!!!

My personal beef with this establishment aside, I just can't eat at a place with a B average rating. 92 and above, I've eaten at hole in the wall establishments with higher ratings. Ok so you're thinking, ?no one goes to a bowling alley for the food.? Sure you're probably right. The same broken ticket sign has been on ?now serving 31? since at least 2000. Just take it down, they're clearly not using it. ?Oh but that's part of the timeless charm? Ok fine, timeless is right because it doesn't look like this

Food was good. Customer service was great, however the lanes kept giving points. Would return.

Honestly my family had a great time at the alley. I would like to see it updated though. This was the first time I've been there in 15+ years and it's the same equipment from 2005. With the exception of the screens. I'd just like to see an update to the facility.

This bowling alley is a prime example of a business that is only open to attain financial stability. Bama lanes does not care about the community that it serves to provide a family friendly enjoyable experience. Everything about this place is dated from the entrance to the lanes themselves. The furniture is old and falling apart. The floors are dirty and the decor is simply awful. Even the ceiling fans have dust on them. Clearly no one is cleaning this place as they should. Definitely my first and last time

My son and I were in town for the weekend and we came here just for to hang out the place has a great atmosphere!! The employees were great and very welcoming even the Dj was hilarious! And the price was very reasonable! If I'm back in Montgomery I'll definitely be back!

Brought a drink at the price of 3.50 and the signage says free refills. Tried to obtain a refill and was told it cost .83 cents for a refill. My child attends this bowling alley with his camp, and it is quite sad to treat repeating customers this way.

Let's talk about it!!! I came here about two weeks ago! The bartender (Hailey) was EVERYTHING! She was well versed and a true Mixologist! She was kind and patient with every customer! Security was top tier! He checked everyone?s iD and made sure everyone was safe. Back to the bartender (Hailey) the drinks were potent and she was happy to be at work!!! Nice enviorment, overall friendly employees but they definitely lack some of the happiness or kindness you may except. The food is bowling alley food, nothing bad nor good. It was a nice place to bowl

It was a fun overall experience. They had deals for the family. And the kids loved the lights in there. But the lanes kept messing up, we had to change lanes 3 different times all bc the balls kept getting stuck. I would give 4 stars but we weren't the only ones who had problems with the lanes

I honestly had so much fun here with my family. With a family as large as mine often it's very expensive but here it wasn't and we got delicious food and drinks with the game. The atmosphere was very family oriented and the staff were so nice. I will definitely come again. O and they do glow in the dark bowling and karaoke too which was also so much fun.

It was okay. Had to keep resetting the pins because the machine kept messing up. I'm 52 years old and really didn't care for the music they played. It should be more of a variety. It was a good value for the special, all you can bowl from 10-1 for 8 dollars including shoes.??

They currently have a all you can bowl between the hours of 5-8 p.m. for $10 a person on Friday. I took my grand daughter and her friend. They loved the pizza (Hunts Brother). It is family-friendly place that serve adult beverages

Delicious food menu and great prices. The owners/employees were very friendly. I wish it were updated some and the bathrooms were cleaner but my family and I had a great time and I like supporting locally owned businesses.

First time I've bowled there in a while. They've upgraded the tech with improved scoring systems and animated videos based on your game. Price increased from $8 to $11 for Sunday evening (includes shoe rental). Good time.

This place stays up till 2 am. Family fun night, glad they had security presence based on things that had happened in the past. Also the staff at 1 am is not very friendly or inviting, they are just waiting for you to finish game and get out of there

Floors & lanes need to be cleaned up. I wouldn't eat from there; but the workers were nice ppl. They do have police presence at night, so I question the safety of the neighborhood.

Super nice employees but the alley itself is old and in need of an update! Never been in a bowling alley that had couches (old, need recovered) for seats in the pit! Where the old score table was is the keypad, it's in a very precarious place! A few updates, lanes and approach resurfaced, pit area reconfigured and new carpet throughout and this alley would be topnotch!

It's a good event I had with the youth group, sadly I was negative and said negative things. I can't control it.

My son had a good time, but the place looks so bad on the outside. The wood on the awning is deteriorated, and the building is dirty. The parking lot needs to be recemented. They offer summer programs and I haven't tried the food, but I've heard it is good.

My wife and I went here with another couple Wednesday at 845pm but were told they are closing at 9pm. The sign on the door clearly read 10pm so did the information online. When we mentioned that the worker said due to "business" they were closing early. I'm sure the cars in the parking lot were not all employees. Will never go to this place.

Fun place to go, especially at midnight after the senior prom. The place is your average bowling alley with pretty good food. Service there is friendly and efficient. The YMCA likes to do field trips here as well. Great place for kids.

Bama Lanes is clean, never any drama I have seen. Lanes are in great condition. I don't go for bowling. I go for karaoke, which they have every Fri and Sat nights. Great show! Friendly people. Anyone is welcome with no exceptions. Bar is clean as well. I do wish it were larger but just my preference.

Had a great time here with friends and family. I'm from Texas and love to sing karaoke. So when I heard about a karaoke joint inside the Bama Lanes I was a little skeptical, but to my surprise it was a great time. The DJ's were great and the crowd was super cool. I didn't bowl but the lanes looked great too.

Spacious with extra seats.

We love going in the morning. They have delicious breakfast. We always do the eat and play combo. 3 games with a meal. Great deal!

This place needs a lot of work. Grew up coming here, but in it's current state of operation, I don't recommend it to anyone. I brought a small group of work employees here for a work party. We rented 2 lanes to bowl, but spent more time waiting on the ball return, or pins to reset, or countless other problems we encountered. I also had a ball damaged due to a malfunctioning ball return system, and still haven't gotten the ball repaired or replaced. Not a pleasant experience!

My uncle Billy worked for them for 40+ years and they truly took advantage of his mental disability. He spent thousands helping them with the bar doing karaoke using his own equipment and not being compensated. When he became sick they offered no assistance and no one even attended his funeral when he passed away. I will never step foot in this place again. God bless Billy Dixon

The burgers were great!!! But the bowling balls kept getting stuck and wasn't cycling correctly it was kind of frustrating but hey nothings perfect. Now if just going to eat 5 stars but bowling mere 3

Took my grandkids and they had a blast!! Lots of families there the day we went...friendly staff and VERY patient with the kids, several of whom had to trade in their shoes for larger sizes several times!!!

Pretty standard bowling alley with a full service bar, pub fare eats, a couple pool tables, and karoke on the weekends. Excellent special for extreme bowling, which is basically glow bowling, for late night fun. All you can bowl with shoes for about ten bucks. Customer service was friendly and staffing was fair, but if they were busier I would expect some significant delays. I ordered chicken wings, which were only okay.

Such a friendly environment. Everybody there years you like family and their eat and bowl special is just something your can't beat. Their bartenders are some of the best.

Probably the worst bowling center I've ever experienced in my life! I think the equipment there was purchased at a garage sale. The approaches felt like they were mopped with spilled Pepsi cola?s! A few gallons of gasoline or diesel fuel and a match would be a great improvement!!!

A bit run down on the outside, but inside it's like any standard AMF bowling alley I've ever been too. In fact, that alone made it really comfortable and enjoyable. Very reasonable prices too with their food and bowling special.

I gave 1 star because I had to. Worst experience ever, the woman behind the counter was the absolute worst! I took my neighbors for a game of bowling to take their minds off the death of their mother who we going to pick up from the funeral home and she treated us like we were bothering her. Came here from out town to spend Thanksgiving with my family. We decided to go bowling! This experience really tainted my experience in Montgomery. First we weren't allowed to wear mask! Second we switched lanes 4 times due to the system not counting the pins for our points correctly, the balls getting stuck and the lanes not resetting. Staff offered no help! All they offered, was for us to continue to switch lanes! We played 1 game in 2 hours due the equipment malfunctioning! I would not recommend this es

Terrible experience here to say the least. Th lanes are in decent shape not the best but still good enough to have a good bowling session on. HOWEVER, I'm not sure if it was only my lane or what but the pins always were messed up and get knocked over my ball wouldn't ever come back up if it did it would take ages to do so. Great place to bowl for family and leagues. Bama Lanes has been there for many years and is a must visit for everyone. Lunch and bowl is my favorite. Good food, has indoor full bar and pool tables.

Ok! This place is old but I enjoy myself EVRY SINGLE TIME we bowl here. No, it's not a fancy feast for the eyes but it has everything I need to do what I enjoy doing amd that's bowling. Most of the staff is pretty friendly but occasionally there is a woman there that always seems to have a bad day but overall my family loves or here. it was the worst place of bowling that I ever went to the bowling ball was dented some of the ball were burnt some of the ball had some deep laceration marks on it sometimes when your bowling the ball does not come back to you the arrangement of the ball behind you is different than Prattville and defective machinery need some work done to it immediately

Walking into the establishment wasn't inviting. While waiting I noticed the shoes a customer had received and the bottom was worn out. I decided to leave.

I love coming here. A picture of beer is the same price as a while pizza. The clientele are down to earth and relaxed. Favorite night is college night in Thursday.

They do have one rude server. That complained about having to serve us beer. This was during a tournament that we where bowling in. Told us to come back at 4;when the bar was open. The tournament was on a Saturday at 11am and 2pm.

It's a typical bowling alley. Seemed to be smoker free. The bathrooms are old and it's mostly in need of some renovations. But it's not a bad place to bowl.
