5 Stars ? A True Gem for Arcade Lovers! I had an amazing experience at this Bad Axe Retrocade! The vibe took me straight back to the golden age of gaming, with a fantastic selection of classic machines and games. The atmosphere was welcoming and fun, and everything was well-maintained. What really stood out, though, were the owners?super friendly, passionate, and genuinely excited to share their love for retro gaming. They made the whole visit feel special. If you're a fan of old-school arcades or just loo
This place is a blast! Took my teenagers and we had a great time playing so many of the old games I enjoyed as a kid. Nice assortment of games with something for everyone. They make it easy to get quarters with either cash or card as well which is a huge plus. We will be back!
We have a great new place to go and just have fun. You should stop by. They have plenty of pinball games, video games and even some older game systems you can play. Go! Have fun! You'd be surprised how much fun you can have with just a few quarters.
I first found this place after a day of bowling with family, next door. I decided to check it out & I was amazed! It's very nostalgic & extremely affordable! They hosted my daughters birthday party last month & they were amazing & super friendly!! I highly recommend this place, it's a lot of fun!
Excellent place. Great classic machines. Great pinball selection also. They actually have an exceptionally rare street fighter 2 pinball machine. This is known as one of the most addictive pinball machines of all time and is very hard to find these days. Try defeating all 12 world warriors in this machine by making all the special shots. I get close each time I try but still have to come back to this place and try once again.
Went there on 11/15/24 with my friends. For $8, which was $5 in coins and $3 for a wristband, we had a blast. Don't let the size of the place fool you, it has so many fun things to do, and even a gaming room with old gaming consoles. We were surprised by how affordable it was to play, which was a HUGE plus. Staff were super friendly, the place was very clean, and I had a great time. I will be coming back with my friends more often, and we are more than happy to support this local business. If you have kids,
Had a great time and I like the people who work there. They have a great deal to play old consoles and just takes quarters to play the games.
Popped in when we stumbled on this place in our travels to play a quick game of pinball and it out, as my hubby who wasn't with us loves pinball! Hope to be back!
Take the whole family here for $20-$30! Owners are really great people. Amazing experience. 10/10
The arcade had a good selection of pinball machines and arcade machines to choose from. It was so much fun and full of nostalgia! They also have a retro console room in the back with a handful of systems. The owner was also super kind and fun to talk to. Plus, you can rent a Delorean here, so that's awesome!
Classic arcade feel with friendly staff, great games, and great prices.
The owner is a helpful and nice person. The arcade has a good assortment of video games available, from well-known franchises such as Mario, Predator, and Contra, along with some lesser known titles. There are also 2 skeeball machines and a good assortment of pinball machines available as well.
Cute arcade with all the nostalgia!! definitely worth checking out if you're in the are. They even have all generation of consoles which is pretty cool. Char the owner was super informative and welcoming, I am excited to visit again ??
Great place to spend Saturday nights 10 pinball machines, Mr Mrs and jr pacman, galiga, super Mario bros, skiball and plenty more. Definitely plan on coming back
Fun place to go if you're looking for nostalgia. The owners are very sweet an easy to talk to. Definitely going back whenever I have quarters!
EDIT: so I dropped this down to 1 star now because the owner decided to approach my wife at work and ask if she gave the 1 star review. That's not very professional in my opinion, leave my wife alone. First off, I actually like the games that they have. However the way the ones handled things when the other arcade opened really turned me off, and then when I left a poor review on Facebook I was blocked after saying screenshot further incidents of poor business practices.
This place is great! Took me back to my teenage years! Even have a room to play nes snes ! Don't pass this place up
This place is so cool and the owner was so kind!
Loved it Had lots of fun with My partner and friends, Ski ball was fun and loved all the pinball machines as well as the console room
Its awesome to have an arcade in Bad Axe!!! Nice selection of pinball and arcade games. They also have skee ball! I had a blast!
A great place to go and have fun! The owner is as sweet as can be and has created a great atmosphere! Will definitely be going back!!!!
Not very nice, pretty small. Ticket trail down the road is much nicer; very friendly, great customer service- with a lot of things to do.
Best arcade in the thumb! A nicely curated selection of games with a comfortable vibe.
Great games that are well taken care of. This place is awesome.
A new favorite for our family while visiting the thumb. Keep up the great work!
Loved the laid back nostalgic vibe. Really appreciate the sensory sensitivity awareness and accommodations. ??
This place rules - the game selection is great and a good environment to play.
It would be nice to get to to play games except the place is always closed
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
