PHENOMENAL experience! The prices were affordable, and it took less than 5 minutes for my group of 7 to purchase the tickets, food, and have the snack combos ready for pickup?-during a sold out viewing of the Minecraft movie. The staff were also incredibly helpful and polite. 10/10 would go to this theater again.
I went with my husband for a much needed date night (we have a 1 and 2 year old) and we were very disappointed considering we dropped over $300. Walking in, it looks grand and fun and we were so excited - we traveled 40 minutes to come here. We had drinks, we had food, we watched a movie, we bowled for 1.5 hours, and we played arcade games - so we participated in all the activities. The staff were great BUT the facility really needs to put some of the money they are making into maintaining this place. Many
It's a cool and convenient spot. There is a bar an arcade, bowling lanes and movie theaters and food. The reason for four stars instead of 5 is food is hit or miss though. Sometimes it's great but not always. Not very consistent. And usually it seems like half the bowling lanes are not in service, so much so that sometimes you can't play anymore because people are waiting. 20 something lanes and only 10 operating is crazy. Movie theater is great though. Nice comfortable seats.
We had a truly disappointing experience at the 4:30 PM showing of How to Train Your Dragon on Saturday, June 21. After spending $200+ for dinner and movie tickets, our entire family stayed through the credits specifically to watch the bonus scene that plays at the end. Just a few seconds into it, the screen abruptly shut off. A janitor came in, saw we were still watching, turned the lights back off?but it was too late. The scene never resumed, and the experience was ruined. What made this worse was the cus
Went to see Materialists. The theater was burning up, everybody was SWEATING so it smelled really musty. 50-60% of their seats are always broken, this particular time I had to use my hoodie to even the seat out, so I wasn't sitting at an angle the whole movie. I also don't think I've ever seen their bathrooms clean. I'm not sure if they're understaffed, or just don't have employees check the bathrooms regularly, but it sucks. The movie was great though.
This theater has gone through multiple owners and branding in the last few years. It appears pretty stable now. Ample parking, comfortable reclining seating, and great sound. Restrooms are nicely placed and clean. I also like the ability to pick seating ahead of time. Definitely would go again.
I stumbled upon this establishment looking for an early movie. What a spectacular place! We got there right when they opened and had the whole place to ourselves. Because we were early, the plan was to eat lunch and then see the movie. Not only is the place gorgeous (the bar lights up!) but the food was ridiculously good. I had a caprese salad with a perfect balsamic sauce and some sort of Italian sausage chili - marvelously delicious and cozy on a dreary, rainy day. My friend had a mushroom Swiss burger, w
Good food and drinks! Their Italian wedding soup was really good! We bowled and played in the arcade during our visit. Tip: the carnival style games yield more tickets. Staff was very friendly, overall good time.
I've been several times and it never ceases to amaze me how much I love the heated leather reclining chairs. Food wasn't bad at all and there's a bar where you can get drinks. There's a bowling alley too. Only complaint is that the theatre was freezing cold when we went. Oh well, at least we had the heated seats!
The bowling was nice, especially being able to order from the lane. But while they sometimes hand out menus other times you get ignored and have to flag someone down. I wish they were more consistent about that or just made it obvious that we should flag someone down every time. We were also disappointed that they sometimes disallow us from using the bumpers for being adults - so I guess if you're an adult beginner who wants to play with the bumpers up so you can actually have a fun time, this place is not
Went and spent $40 on tickets. Bought an overpriced $8 drink and $7 candy. All the bathrooms were out of order. Half the arcade games didn't work. But the biggest complaint is the heat. It's winter, we chose a movie because it's an indoor activity you can do during the winter. I wore coats and long sleevs and sat in a 2 and a half hour movie that was FREEZING. My husband and I were cold with a coat on. My toes literally went numb For the insane amount of money you pay for tickets and food. At least put som
Place was really beautiful, quickly serviced, the most comfortable seat ever with heaters ?? only four stars because our movie stopped a few minutes in ?? and it was beetlejuice 2 UGH
theater is great. would not come here to bowl if you are an adult who wants/needs bumpers. they will only allow them for all or none of your party and only if a child is present. i requested bumpers because i had shoulder surgery and cannot use my dominant arm and they said adult are too much of a risk to damage their property. luckily, christiansburg (@ it's game time at the super bowl) allows bumpers for anyone and can be turned on/off based on who is up to bowl in your group!
Enjoyed the movie Nosferatu, would be more enjoyable if they didn't freeze me to death with the AC lol but I have learned to dress warm and bring a coat or blanket ??
Love this theater. Can't wait to come back and bowl. Definitely will try the bar area as well. It's always a great time coming here.
Always love coming here! My son has found a love for bowling and this is his favorite place to come. Definitely recommend going early, otherwise it can be pretty crowded.
good prices, very clean, variety of things to do. popcorn was fresh, warm and tasted good. seating was ok, not overly comfortable, but not crowded. the only drawback was the employees weren't very friendly. maybe it was an off day but it was almost the feeling they were being bothered by waiting on you. regardless its a good value and i enjoyed it
Technical Review: Like many theatres, the presentation quality and sound in the smaller auditoriums is inconsistent. As of 03/16/25, In Theatre 7, the projector needs repair with an ugly magenta/blue shift on the right side of the screen, and it centered too high, forcing you to look up more than ideal. In other rooms, the volume is too low, and you can tell some speakers are non functional. I can't speak for the quality in the largest premium auditorium but it is probably better than the others.
the staff was SO incredibly rude. we bought tickets in advance for a 10:45 showing and were locked out when we arrived. someone walked up to the door, looked at us, and got back on their phone and walked away. no signs up or hours available anywhere, when my boyfriend called we got hung up on. the woman who scanned our tickets acted like it was a huge inconvenience and was barely speaking besides ?we're closed?. no apology or explanation for us being locked out for something we already paid for in below fre
Awsome food drinks and nice bowling facilities too. Highly recommend especially when the students aren't in town.
We had a work meeting here today and the food and service was absolutely fabulous. A great meeting location! Hats off to Ruby for setting this up for us ??
This is a nice place to see a movie! I drive from Roanoke because we don't have any theatres with good seats and the B&B has the best in the area. The theatres are clean and comfy. I like that you can order food but wish staff could bring it to the theatre - it's kind of a pain that you have to come back out of the movie to grab your food when it's ready. The bathrooms also have a pervasive sewer gas smell which is very off putting. Overall, it's a cool place to partake in multiple activities but there is
Good movie selections comparable ticket prices, snack bar is expensive but find one that isn't overall good place. Bowling alley is good also several lanes out of order so first come first serve
I went and saw Deadpool Wolverine last year and the staff at the snack bar was rude and the place was filthy everywhere. The worst part about it was the theatre I was in smelled like fresh vomit the entire movie. Needless to say I will never go back.
I have been to this location many times and I always have a great experience. It's just too bad there isn't anything like this in Roanoke. My wife and I came here to see the new nosferatu movie since there are reclining seats and the food is great here too. I have seen other reviews about the bathrooms here not being clean but I have to disagree because the restrooms here are always clean for me. The only small gripe is that I was hoping the movie would be on the grand screen but even the smaller theater wa
Very comfortable and clean. The matinee was great in the movie wasn't too loud as they sometimes are places
Love the seating, popcorn..OK, sound is good, they serve food and drinks, but haven't tried any
Very friendly staff, very clean theaters, and COVID precautions in place! So glad they took over and reopened the theater! Update: Just went to see a movie on the Grand Screen for the first time. It was amazing! All the screens are top notch, but if there is a movie that you're really excited about and they are offering it on the Grand Screen, see it there! The floors were a bit sticky this time around, but otherwise it's usually a very clean place. Update: Sadly each time I return the facility goes furth
?We don't know what we want to do! Eat? Movie? Arcade games? Drinks? Bowling (Despite what Jim Gaffigan sez)?? Then this is the place for y?all, cuz y?all can do it all here, not to mention the GIANT movie screen. One stop fun shop. Brunch on weekends too; outdoor seating when the warmth returneth.
I tried to go bowling and the tv monitor behind the counter displayed a price and when I asked the gentleman how much was it to bowl per game over per hour he told be it was significantly more than what the tv presented?. So I said we are here at 2:15 so do we get the $3.95 bowling? His first words were ?do you really wanna challenge me right now? I said sir I'm just asking why is it displayed on the tv like that if we can't get that price. He was really rude and tossing his hands up and told someone else t
I went to this theater two days in a row to watch two Ghibli films: Porcco Rosso and The Wind Rises. On the first day, part of the movie was displayed on the side walls instead of the screen. This was annoying, but I figured everyone makes mistakes and just dealt with it. Afterwards, I reported it to the theater. The next day, I came early to check if they actually fixed it. After I went in and saw they had not, I went to the front desk and was told that they had known about this issue with Ghibli films for
Great theater with plenty to do, eat, and drink. Decent prices and staff is always so nice.
Theatre was clean, the bean burger and french fries were tasty, not greasy and crunchy. The movie Wicked was superb, and we had the theater to ourselves.
First time at a B&B theater, and it was a superb experience. Very clean theater, plush seats, and ample spacing. My favorite part was the extensive food menu! I ordered the black bean burger with onion rings, and it was great restaurant quality fresh. UPDATE: Be sure to get there early if you want to order food. It takes them a bit to prepare, and this theater isn't the kind that delivers the food to your seat. You have to wait to pick it up.
Our favorite Theater! Love the recliner seats and that they still offer Coke products.
If I could give 0 stars I would. 1st how does a movies theatre CONTINUOUSLY runout of popcorn. Ran out of popcorn twice while waiting in line for concessions. The coke machine was a POS, why have coke machines with over 100 variety?s advertised but out of everything except regular coke. The restaurant aspect is a complete joke. Our server was the most inattentive server I have ever encountered. No refills on drinks, burger was still mooing even after ordering well done. We drove over an hour for the ?experi
My Wife and I went for our 8yr Anniversary, and had an absolutely amazing time! We bowled a couple games, had some bar food and a couple of drinks... overall an incredible night! Definitely recommend for a good time!
Thank you for allowing me a moment to share my experience at B&B theater. I came here excited to enjoy a horror movie, hoping to introduce my infant to the world of film. While I was initially welcomed, I was surprised when, just ten minutes in, I was confronted with a negative attitude and ultimately asked to leave. I understand that policies are in place for a reason, but I believe that flexibility and understanding are also vital. As a parent, I want to create positive experiences for my child, and being
They have the best chairs. I drive an hour just to go to this theater. I have a bad back and I can honestly only see a movie here now. The other standard seats aren't comfortable at all. I enjoy the recliners and putting my feet up to enjoy a movie. I always bring a little neck pillow with me and my kids bring a blanket. I admire their dedication to make movies accessible to all children. They have kits available for those who are sensitive to noise as well. We love the B&B!
I needed a place to watch the Super Bowl with my son who is a student at VA Tech. We were shocked to find this place was emptier than my soul for having to watch the Eagles and Patriots play for the championship. Aside from the game and Justin Timberlake's outfit, it was a great time. Will definitely be back for better games. HTTR
This is truly one of the best theaters out there. From the incredible food and drinks to the magnificent grand screen. All of it comes together to provide an epic experience, every single time we visit. The staff are responsible, professional, and very courteous who can never do enough for you. Absolutely love everything about B&B Theaters.
Don't get me wrong, this theater is awesome. But this review is based off of their cleanliness (or lack thereof). They claim that they clean the seats after every movie, but from these pictures you can see that obviously isn't the truth. The seats were greasy, underneath them was filthy, and all the cup holders were disgusting. I can't believe how disgusting this theater was, SUPER disappointed considering the international virus that's still a thing.
We truly enjoyed the bowling experience at B&B. The service and food were less than desirable. We could not get service at our lane and did have to go up to the bar. The bartender was amazing, the bar was not busy and she was very attentive. She took our appetizer and drink order and told us the appetizer would be brought to our lane. We had planned on ordering an entree when the appetizer was delivered. The server dropped our appetizer and ran. There was no ?can I get you anything else?? We ordered the mo
I took my students here to celebrate them and we had a very good time we bold and had something to eat as we bowl and the atmosphere was very very good
While the facility is really nice and the staff is super friendly, I can not recommend this theatre to anyone for the fact that over half of my visits there have had technical issues that severely affected my movie going experience. For context, I drive about an hour to go to this theatre since it does have the biggest, nicest screen around. However, I am unlikely to return after a number of experiences here. I have been to this theatre 3 times now, and while I had a great experience the first time, the oth
Service was a bit slow and confusing. Food took awhile, but was tasty! 3/5
Saw Great movie and popcorn then ate lunch at restaurant there.
I enjoy the theater itself and the bowling. I always have a fun time with friends but staff and food is always hit or miss. I went to watch a movie 2 days ago and the popcorn I received was cold, and several pieces were mushy from how long it had been sitting. When I checked out at the register the cashier, I kid you not, spoke one sentence to me, and that was to ask if I had a bar code to scan and didn't say anything to me throughout the entire transaction besides that. I felt very unwelcome and like I was
rude employees who work at the front at concessions, came for the gladiator showing. paid $30 bucks for burnt popcorn both women rolled their eyes and proceeded to give me the same batch and say they're closed.... sorry this was $30 bucks.... this is why i go to the theatre in christiansburg... ridiculous no cares my money was wasted.
Was clean. Games were low cost while waiting for the movie. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. Well worth the trip from Salem. We look forward to our next trip! Next time we plan to give bowling a shot!
The whole movie experience was great, the reclining chairs were very comfortable. However the popcorn was the most basic and boring ones I've ever had, not to mention for a theater. Not warm and not much to there. Not remotely worth $20 for the food but everything else was great, so don't bother with food.
We chose to watch a movie in the Imax theatre and loved the reclining heated seats. It was also nice that there was ample walking space between the seats. The snack bar had plenty of options although at the time we went, there were a few that were unavailable. It was clean, but the most disappointing part was the state of the arcade. Most of the games were broken and if they weren't broken others had some WIFI connection issue that no one seemed to be able to fix. As such, your tokens were a waste of money.
First time here to see Dune pt2 on the ?grand screen?. Fantastic experience all around. Very clean theater, comfortable seats, huge clear screen, great sound. At the scheduled start time they played only previews for new movies, no ad?s for products/brands like the Christiansburg Regal does other than the B&B owner?s/family clip which is much appreciated, and it was only 10-12 minutes of previews vs the other chains 25+ minutes of ads. This will definitely be our new regular theater
Good staff, friendly atmosphere, lots to do, pricey but not too crazy
Good recliner seating and space. Not crowded most of the times.
On a long road trip and stopped in to see a movie. This is a great theater with a well equipped concession, restaurant, arcade and bowling alley.
The place itself is awesome. Tons to do and a lot going on. At any given point, there were only 7 out of the 16 bowling lanes being utilized. We waited 1.5 hrs to be allowed to bowl 1 game. 1 of the 3 bartenders seem interested to be there and the other 2 walked by us repeatedly without saying a word. This place could be great, but needs a lot of help after that experience.
The management here needs to get their staff under control some of the most rudest entitled people I've ever seen it's bad this guy forced me to leave the theater. He thought me and my friend were sneaking in, but he had just made a mistake and accidentally bought one ticket, and on our way out to buy the other tickets so we could watch our movie. Happily, I get a glimpse of another employee behind the concession stand clapping his hands like we were sneaking in this place is terrible. I do not recommend th
Always a great spot for the fam to watch a movie and spend time together
Visiting for a Military Outreach Event and decided to see Abigail at 4:15 today (April 22)? they played the wrong movie. When bringing it to the staffs attention, they told us that they cannot play the correct movie due to timing issues. We were only offered a refund on the tickets and not on the popcorn or drinks that we purchased. They provided us free popcorn and drink vouchers but when proceeding to the from desk, they stopped us and said that we cannot get a refund and a free movie ticket voucher. Doe
Comfortable and well-maintained theatres, conveniently adjacent to other activities and a restaurant
Came to see a movie at 8pm. Walked into the theater with trailers playing with audio but no video. Someone came into fix it, but didn't speak a word to anyone about what was going on. After the trailers had finished, still no word. Finally came out and said we can't fix it, go get a refund. No apologizes for our inconvenience or anything. Also, the employees were not friendly. There was no one manning the ticket station to get into the theater. Received my refund and won't be back.
Went bowling for the 1st time there and it was awesome. The young man that got our games and shoes was very nice. The young lady that helped us get food and drinks while bowling was exceptional. She was very polite and thoughtful. Thanks to the 2 of you I will be back with my family again. Thank you...I've been back 2 more times sense my 1st visit. The staff is always very polite and kind. Thank you for that. The food from the restaurant is amazing to. I feel the food prices is very fair and delicious. Than
Great place very clean, lot of things to do. The bowling area is very nice, good vibe.
Had a blast on our date night for our anniversary, great food and drinks. Very nice atmosphere
The bar was nice and enjoyable. The reclining seats in our theater didn't recline. When I went to ask about it, Charlie, the manager, looked at my tickets and just walked away. He came back to look at my tickets again and walked away without saying a word. He came back, handed me readmit tickets and walked away. He didn't say a word to me; not an apology, not anything. I get they were probably busy but not being spoken to or looked at is ridiculous. It felt like we were just being given passes so we be quie
One of the nicest theaters I've been too. Reclining and heated seats! There's an attached bar. Also the food is pretty good (except the Cookie Dough unfortunately) with very large portions. There's no food delivery to your designated the movie location. Has an attached Bowling Alley if you'd like some additional things to do before/after your movie - the rates are a bit expensive if it's just one or two of you going.
Food was really good. Service was expedient considering the higher than normal amount of people here tonight. Seats are very comfortable.
Always a fun time. Prices are a bit crazy but the experience in the theater is awesome. Only place I enjoy seeing a movie
Great place, one of the must do things in Blacksburg. It's really a movie theater, sports bar, and bowling alley combo. The rooms for the theaters weren't that large, but for what our family was looking for, it provided plenty and then some. We intend to frequent this area during our Blacksburg trips. The area has plenty other stuff to do as well
Watched Avengers Endgame in Imax. Everything was perfect except for the sound. The audio was way to low for an IMAX. We couldn't heard parts of the movie. Other than that perfect.
Very nice theater! I loved the reclining seats. The armrests could be lifted to provide greater room if desired. You can pick your seats while purchasing tickets at the concession stand. How convenient is that! Different popcorn seasonings were provided for no extra charge. The bathrooms were super clean.
Theater is efficient, clean and friendly. Popcorn was perfectly salty! Seating is VERY comfortable as was the temperature of the theater. HOWEVER...seating for disabled persons is inadequate. We were taking our 93 and 94 year old parents both of whom use a cane and have extreme difficulty with stairs. Technically, the accessable seating did not have 2 seats together unless one patron was in a wheelchair. Only 1 seat on either end of the row was not reserved for a companion of a wheelchair patron. This requi
Long wait but well worth it. Had some drinks and played a few games as we waited for our lane to come available. Nice atmosphere and the staff were all welcoming. It's a go-to spot for fun and excitement, esp if you're new in the area.
It was not busy at all. Always enjoy the 3D movies. The popcorn and tots were as expected. Theater was very clean. Arcade was fun as well.
The theater itself is really nice - the seats recline and have tons of room. We had a great movie experience. The only downside was the arcade. We wanted to play a few games of Skee Ball after the film so we bought a $5 game card. All 3 skee ball machines were broken. We walked around looking for something else to play and realized 2/3 of the machines were down, so there were barely any games to choose from. When I asked for a refund, they refused to honor it and told us to come back another day. We live ov
I will not be returning. I have been here twice, once for bowling (months ago, maybe in April or May 2023) and once (today, November 2023) for a movie. The only reason they are getting two stars is because they did not hesitate to give me a refund on my movie tickets when I asked. The bowling alley had bumps in it that made the balls veer off to the side halfway down the lane in what was almost a right angle from the path it was on. Not fun, but honestly not the worst thing ever and we still ended up havin
Staff was unfriendly and seemed bothered to help, all of the games and bowling lanes were out of order, only 1 of 3 stalls in womens bathroom were usable (if you ignore the kicked in door that wouldnt shut), and the mens bathroom was just gross. We couldn't get out of these fast enough.
This theater has a beautiful setup with a bowling alley and video games. The seating is so comfy and spacious. The only problem I had was, one, you could smell gas as soon as you walked through the first set of doors and secondly, the bathrooms needed a desperate cleaning, along with maintenance. The handicapped stall wasn't even aligned with the door frame and a few of the stalls were missing locks.
I've been sitting here for 45 minutes. No movie. Only ads and trailers. They didn't even start the trailers until 15 minutes after the showtime. The people at the front desk were rude and dismissive. Literally all of the seats we tried sitting in are broken. Just go to Regal.
It's always unkempt, the facilities are fairly new but there's always trash here and there or the machines are dirty, the bathrooms are on appearance clean but you can tell there's no a weekly, more they, quarterly type of cleaning, the seats groan when you use them and we've found trash in the theaters at the beginning of the movie... also the entrance where the parking lot is smells like trash and the foyer pool@x@@
Check-in screen can be confusing. It wants to sell you unlimited monthly washes. Lower right option for just one wash. The wash is excellent and vacuum/towels provided at the facility. A good car wash.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our movie at the B&B. It was the first time for us to go. Roanoke doesn't have any movie theaters with recliners (yet), so we wanted to take the kids for that experience. It was worth the drive. They loved it! The snacks were great, and the facility was very clean. We'll be back and may bowl and have lunch or dinner!
Came in on 1/16 at 2:30 PM to the Blacksburg location with 3 wanting to bowl. The cashier, which I am assuming is a manager based on uniform told us the price. The TV screen directly above him stated a much lower price than he stated. We asked why the difference? He responded ?you can challenge if you want to? ?corporate hasn't updated the TVs and our prices went up January 1?. We stated we were just wondering what the difference was ?again you can challenge if you want to. Do you want to bowl or not becaus
Bowling is $5 for one game or $40+ for 1 hour... weird offering. Food was decent. Their bar drinks were off. Their sour mix or something was broken and they felt it was ok to try to serve off tasting drinks. The machine to purchase game cards for the arcade was messed up and they knew it and didn't shut it down to stop people trying to use it and swipe their cards a million times. Place was overall nice, atmosphere was good, music the entire night was great but they need more staff and need to fix the thing
We go most Tuesdays for $5 movies and love it. Concessions are out of this world expensive! So don't go hungry! Reclining chairs are wonderful, Audio is fabulous, and the entire place is always very clean.
We've had consistently enjoyable trips here. The theaters are always clean - no sticky floors or mystery stains! Comfortable, spacious seats. The Tuesday special for movie tickets, certain concessions and burgers is unbeatable. The restaurant is nice and serves great food, though it is on the pricier side. The arcade is a hit, especially for kids!
I love the reclining heated chairs but I have had a serious problem trying to get a tegunf on Saturday I purchased 3 tickets for $41.72 And a error code showed up on the app while I was checking Out But my card was charged and I did not receive the tickets so I emailed the corporate office from their website I had a response within 30 minutes they said they didn't see the transaction no transaction was made so I went into the theater to speak with a manager cause there's no way to call corporate office
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
