Arooga's

Arooga's

Reviews Summary

Arooga's generally offers a fun sports bar atmosphere with many TVs and lively crowds, especially during games. The food receives mixed reviews—praised for wings, pretzels, and apps but criticized for inconsistency (undercooked, cold, or poor quality items). Service varies widely: some staff (like Michelle, Megan, and Flynn) are highlighted as exceptional, while others are slow or rude. Happy hour and drink selections are popular, but pricing disputes and management issues occasionally arise. Overall, it's a solid spot for drinks and casual dining, though experiences can be hit-or-miss depending on timing and staff.

Customer Reviews

I ordered take out,so i cant really speak to all aspects of the restaurant. But HOLY MOLY this giant pretzel was incredible! Fresh made, warm, buttery, great beer cheese, I'm not a mustard person so I skipped that. Kiddos loved the tater tots as well! Will have to stop by with the whole crew soon!

This place never disappoints, especially the service. We have Michelle weekly and she always gives top notch service. Never wait for a refill and always ready for a good conversation. The food is always on par! We love coming here!

I had my graduation party here on Sunday May 18th and I couldn't have imagined a better staff and atmosphere. Michelle, Charlie, Evie and Biana were great!

This is by far the best Aroogas I've been too! They have the best food, staff and the best manager- Charlie! This place is truly a gem. Their staff is superb and extremely knowledgeable! The kitchen makes the best food around! They treat you like family. If you're ever in the area of Patchogue, this is a must visit!!!! Can't wait to go back!

I've been going to aroogas for years to watch ufc fights and sporting events and before today have always been impressed. Tonight aroogas decided to add cover charges to existing bills even if you were dining before the fights began. The manager even claimed that they've been charging for 9 years and tonight was the first night where a cover charge was added to a bill that was not only disorganized but also messed up. The manager also had claimed we were talking disrespectfully when trying to understand wha

Arooga?s in Patchogue was very pleasant. The atmosphere gave me BWW at home and was more than inviting and welcoming. The staff was friendly and typical for a sports bar. What our meal consisted of: Amish Pirogues. Traditional cheese & potato dumplings with a house-made sweet chili sour cream dip. The pierogies themselves were great! Very hot when we got them and a flaky soft outer shell. The chili-sour cream dipping sauce being a tad too sweet is what kind of took away from such a great appetizer. Nashv

Great resteraunt for comfort food and their red bull long island iced tea drink, though it has a tendency to get a tad loud. A few occasions where the DJ was cranking it all the way up to the point where I could barely hear my friends. Still one of my go to spots for drinks in Patchogue!

My wife and I ordered delivery on Uber Eats. I got the chicken bacon ranch club wrap and she got the black and blue burger. The wrap was really good and the fries were delicious. My wife enjoyed the burger. The food came quickly and we both enjoyed our our meals. Would recommend.

The server was super friendly. I wish I remembered names better. We got 2 drinks and an app sampler while waiting for a show at 89 north to start. Locations, food, drink, price, everything pretty much standard for the area. No complaints.

I've had a great experience with Arooga's and dealing with Charlie. He is always willing to work with me to collaborate on events for my establishment. Thank you! Me and my co-worker went for lunch and sat at the bar. The staff was friendly, accommodating and the food and drinks were great. :)

Went there for a Graduation party last weekend and it was amazing!!!! Everyone was so nice and attentive. The management/waitstaff was awesome. Would love to attend another event and/or dine there!!!!

Really good food, appetizers, and drinks. Friendly staff and quick service. Will be back!

Great food good staff... Chicken tenders were really good and our appetizer which was a huge pretzel was slammin! Good choice for big crowd. The burgers and wings are good also!! The salad was OK according to the people who I was with. This places reminds me of a better millers ale house. I would reccomend going there ! Also they have TV's on the tables in the back and a bar in the front.

Don't bother ordering from DoorDash because they will completely disregard your order by giving you whatever they feel like! They don't call to say an item isn't available, etc. Waited for over an hour for my general tso wrap and received a chicken Caesar wrap? something I wouldn't eat. Thanks so much!

While, if you were in the restaurant, the service was good prior to this but food - I ordered three fish and chip baskets and it was so greasy me and my entire family were stuck in the bathroom. The next day. Very unpleasant.. while the fish and chip basket contained only two fillets of fish( could have been more) , the bottom filet was super greasy. I guess the bottom fillet absorbed like all the oil drainage and between the breading and the fish it was just very greasy very heavy. Fries were soggy. Their

Arooga's is an absolute gem of a sports bar and pub. The atmosphere is electric, with TVs at every turn, you never miss a moment of the game. The friendly and attentive staff add to the overall experience, making you feel right at home. The menu offers mouthwatering burgers, flavorful wings, and an impressive drink selection. Their commitment to customer satisfaction and safety sets it apart as a top-notch destination for sports enthusiasts and socializing aficionados alike.

We used our Habitat for Humanity beer card and had a nice draft beer on the house. The bartenders were very nice. The food was good. The wings were happy hour pricing and good. They weren't amazing but they weren't terrible. Just good. This is a great place to have a beer and watch a game in the heart of Patchogue. Tell 'em Barsnobs sent ya!

Really good food. But I hate when places don't staple or sticker the stuff closed on a door dash order. It comes just wide open. Like how hard is it to secure the food for delivery? Tape or staple it shut. Not a new concept. Especially since the food is really good.

If you are looking for an amazing place filled with the greatest staff Arooga's is for you!! From the moment I stepped in the staff was laughing and joking with me like I was a regular. The menu was filled with tons of good choices of food, I went with the Nachos, Wings, and large pretzel. And let me tell you, I was not disappointed. The portions were huge and they tasted great! Tons of beer on tap and wait time was non existent. Thank you Arooga's for making me, and my party, feel at home. Will definite

If your out in the Village of Patchogue this is one eatery that will fill the bill. A nice sports bar with a decent menu. Good service provided by attentive staff. Currently out door street tables, on the closed roadway, are available on Thursday and Saturday evenings. Ask for Michele, as our server, she was aces and will make your meal most enjoyable. So, eat, drink and be merry.

Flynn and Ryan were absolutely amazing will be back soon to see them and only them!! Charlie the manager what the sweetest person!! Definitely will recommend to friends and family

Terrible service. The waiter seemed confused about whether I wanted to be seated, and I had to ask for a table myself. There was no silverware set, and no one checked in to see how my meal was or if I needed anything. When I was clearly finished, having pushed my plate away, I still had to ask for the check. Overall, a disappointing experience.

Your regular shorts bar drink n food didn't get good but the drink we're drinking if you know what I mean .. went to finish watching a football game ended up at another bar ?????? good place I was pressured into getting the trash can by my friends ??

Great service. Tasha got us in and out. Jason changed the tv to the Yankees game. Totally recommend for a hot chicken sandwich and for kids. ** Follow up. MNF crew was great Kimmy, Flynn, and Sam....perfect! Wings were insane!

Omg ?? I just flew in from Arizona and my friends took me to Aroogas. The wings did not disappoint. So SO good! Loved the atmosphere and the service. Also Michelle was hilarious. I wish we had an Aroogas in Arizona! Definitely my new favorite place to go when I come in for a visit.

I'm a regular here. Love it everytime! Best wings ever in my opinion especially the Carolina sweet & tangy. Bar quesadillas are to die for , lots of beer options for beer lovers like myself. & ALWAYS has the games on that I want to watch whether it's basketball , baseball or football . My go to bar on the island . Never had a bad experience here .

I can't believe the audacity of this business. Placing a pending $20 surcharge on a tab that I paid out on a Saturday 3 days after and locking me out of my account because they charged it in a different town than I was in and set off my banks security guard. Quite literally left me without funds on Christmas Eve. This is disgusting and disappointing. If you want to purchase drinks somewhere do it for a business that's more hospitable and can actually take accountability for majorly inconveniencing their cus

Pulled pork sandwich was great. The fries were room temp and not crispy. Menu was a bit pricey.

Food is decent bar food but the service staff needs to work on their table mgmt skills. Hostess parked us right next to the service station (again), and I moved us to another open table location myself, as she quickly walked away. It was a Thursday night (8p-9p) and there were plenty of other tables available in bar area as they closed the back area. From time of sitting to drinks to food being delivered was 50 minutes. Waiter seemed distracted as I ended up having to go off to find him to get payment pro

The waiter was great! The food and drinks didn't take long to be served. Just didn't like the fact that all channels was on Hokey and my pulled pork came out with cold spots. The bread was hot but pork wasnt fully hot. THE SHRIMP NACHOS WAS ON POINT !

Came in for a quick bite and beer, Michelle helped me out and was phenomenal. Definitely coming back!

The food is really good .. the burger didn't look good but damn that was good . Awesome vibe and good bar food .. the service tho is a little slow at the bar

Bar had pretty good food. The pretzel was very good. I got a cheesesteak. Wasn't as good but I liked the tots on the side. Our waiter was slow. There were only a couple people there and we were waiting for more than 40 minutes for food. There were about 5 waiters there. Nothing to judge them, maybe there was an issue. Kids eat for free Monday?s.

I am never coming back there again they are rude and racist. I sense how they treat me. Both of the waitress had an attitude. They treat the other white customers with respect. They treat me with disrespect.

the food was exceptional and the place itself was really nice. Will be making this our goto place

Great place! Went for a party. My friends and I had a great time

My friends and I went last night for Trivia. Our waitress was Michelle and she was AWESOME! Very attentive and she has a great personality. She was a burst of Happy Energy!!! We will be back! PS My salad was delicious also :)

Have not tried the food yet but the drinks always hit the spot & are reasonably priced, servers are always friendly & attentive & the djs never miss. Also a great place to watch sports. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a fun, laid back vibe!

Service does not match the price if you sit at the bar waited 30 minutes to order my first drink!! I understand the bar is huge but hire more than 2 bartenders for a packed night also it's a Thursday night and there's one bartender do better!! I'll stick to door dash here the foods good the service sucks

Very good food, the staff and manager are very friendly, from the appetizers to the dessert, everything was excellent.

I never leave reviews but I was so pleasantly surprised by my experience. Me and a group of friends went to Main Street after work. The service we had here has been far better than other places on Main Street. Our waitress Holly had so much personality and knew so much t about the food, she suggested things we didn't even see on the menu. Someone in our group is vegetarian and was so relieved to have a waitress who cared so much. Thank you for an amazing night out!!

The price and parking are a bit of a drawback - parking was a bit of a pain and it was almost $100 for 4 drinks and 3 plates of food. The food was pretty good and came out quicker than expected, although my fries were room temp while my sandwich was piping hot. Server was very friendly. And this isn't a complaint (just found it odd) - but I was a little surprised to get ID'd as I'm 40 and have some gray hairs. Would probably go back with the group I was with.

We wanted to try a different bar so we went here for the music. We ordered 10 boneless wings. After 20 minutes of waiting, we asked where they were. They didn't know what happened. The manager came over to us and apologized which was nice and offered a free appetizer while we waited which was nice. About 15 minutes later we got out wings and they were like chicken nuggets and tiny balls of chicken. We were really disappointed

Won't be back. I get it was busy with AA5 but that's no excuse. Went there with my wife, mother in law and 4 kids. Kids food came out ok ( cheese wasn't melted on their grilled cheeses but they didn't care) Mother in Laws food came out good. My burger came out cold and looked like it was stale with unmelted cheese and microwaved bacon on it my onion rings were soggy and looked gross as well. I asked for a menu to order something else my wife's pretzel was undercooked and even tho she said no onion in her S

The wide selection of food options and the quality of the food gave the food category a 5 star. The atmosphere was also really incredible. The service was not good. We went with a really big group of people and the restaurant was already crowded. But we were waitng for our food for a while. Than when it was time for the bill it took almost an hour to get that all set. We got to the restaurant at 6:00 and didn't depart till 9:30. But other wise it was good.

WOW , food was definitely awesome, service was pretty good as well, try that huge pretzel, that was experience in it's self, will be back after I she's off 5 pounds, cheers to our awesome waitress Pamela she was just freaking rad ????

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I was looking to have a party for my husband?s birthday. I contacted Arooga?s for information. Michelle responded right away. Additional emails were sent because I had more questions and she immediately got back to me. Michelle was our host and went above and beyond to make sure everything was good and that everyone had what they needed. Since it was a surprise party my guests arrived before me. She had appetizers on the table for them and kept refilling u

Came here to watch the jets pre season game have a few drinks. My waitress was so great to me and my family. Very attentive and understanding. The food was great the beer was ice cold and a huge selection. My daughter was treated very well as well. Highly recommend for football. TVs all over, every angle. Great wings.

We had the pleasure of having Megan as our waitress on Saturday. She was one of the sweetest and most attentive waitresses that I have ever met. Charlie was also super helpful and friendly. When we go back, I will definitely asked to be seated in Megan?s section

Amazing service and food! Had a wonderful experience. The server was so sweet and everyone was so friendly. We had the big pretzel, perogies, and sweet fries to start. Then for our entree, I had the shrimp tacos! Out of this world. Totally recommend Arooga?s for an excellent night out.

Located in the town of Patchogue, my family and I will make the hour drive out when we are craving their delicious apps and entrees! Their wings with the coal cracker sauce never disappoints! We also enjoy their giant pretzel which comes with 3 different dipping sauces. They used to offer truffle tots which were the BOMB but no longer offer it as it was not a popular sell in their other locations. Their entrees from salads to burgers to pizza are all delicious! Service is top notch. Wait staff is always ch

I had my 30th birthday here over the weekend. The staff went above and beyond. Everyone had the best time!! From the moment we stepped in the staff was friendly, outgoing and great to work with especially Michelle. The food, drinks were amazing!!! Can't wait to be back!! :)

My family and I love Arooga?s. It's the one place where we all find something we enjoy on the menu. The manager (or maybe he's the owner), is a friendly guy who checks in and chats with us. We have had Megan as our server a few times. She always makes us feel at home. Today, she went out of her way to take extra great care of my daughter, who has a concussion. While all the staff are really nice, Megan makes the experience even better. I highly recommend Arooga?s if you're a vegetarian, or if you have pic

Love watching big games here, it's always a fun atmosphere, especially during playoff seasons. The staff was super nice and always remembered our drink order even in a big group. Highly recommend the wings and pretzels!

Casual atmosphere. Huge bar. Friendly bartenders and servers. Ultimate Sports bar with many TVs playing. Will change one if requested. Bartenders Gabby, Kimmy, Michelle and Flynn are super nice. Love watching the games here. Go early and secure a table ! Dj at night is great too.

these has a different aftertaste i?ve never tasted before plus 11$ for these ?

Good food, nice drinks, great service, live band. ????

Try the Impossible Cheese Nachos- they were out of this world! Drinks were good too. Very friendly staff, great overall vibe of the bar. Had a great time.

On 5/4/17. My husband and I went to Arooga's In Patchogue to enjoy some craft beer and food. Before we went there we checked the website to see the specials and were happy to see that they had Barrier beer all day everyday for 4$ When we went there they were not honoring the special. After showing the bartender on my phone the website specials the manager Chris, who was sitting, drinking and eating at the bar, said unfortunately that corporate made a mistake on the web so we are charging 5$ (see photo). W

Kimmy is hands down the best bartender they have fallowed up by Mike. When these two are behind the bar you know stuff is getting done.. tonight was a bit of a let down. Me being a huge rangers fan was there for the first game of the year. The bar tender noticed what jerseys we were wearing and had the game on for us. DURING MLB playoffs. Overall they know what u want and have the food to back it up.. Aroogas is never a miss in Patchogue village

Atmosphere was great!!! The food, especially the burger & wings were delicious, done forget to try their huge pretzel. So much fun, definitely going back :)

Nice enough place. Comfortable atmosphere. I've been here a few times.

If you're looking for a place to watch a sports event, this is the place. TV's are facing every direction and they'll put on the event you're most interested in on a TV near you. The vibe is as expected for a sports restaurant. There's quite a bit of space in the back that's more family friendly but it's not always open on off hours. When it is, they have table tablet games to entertain kids. The food is comfort forward with several vegetarian options.

I am living on the edge of poverty and I struggle with depression. Bi-weekly I go out to eat to cheer up my weekend, and time after time, I end up at Arooga's. Incredible food and service time after time. I love it here, so affordable but so tasty. Amazing place, and I haven't even tried the bar! The food is just so good!

Nice sports bar downtown Patchogue. The service is excellent and location great. The best hot wings in Suffolk County in my opinion, cooked extra crispy.

Great variety of wing sauces. Arooga's always makes the BEST pretzel of any restaurant. Megan is a top-notch server. She is very pleasant and does her job well.

We've been here quite a few times with consistently good food, drinks and service. This past weekend, we had my son's surprise 21st birthday party here. I can't say enough good things about it!! As usual, the food and drinks were on point and everyone raved about it. The real stars here though were Charlie the GM and Michelle the bar manager. From answering every question I had between phone conversations and email, Charlie was amazing. Extremely personable and professional, he really made it so easy to

Went here on a Tuesday night for a late dinner. The place was nice and it wasn't too crowded. We ordered our food and drink. When bringing our drinks out we ordered something else as well. I then got my meal which was cooked well and tasted fine. After waiting about 30 minutes since ordering something extra we asked if it was almost here as my burger came out pretty quick. The server informed us that they forgot about it and it will be coming out. After waiting another 25-30 minutes we asked again and they

Food was sub par compared to other downtown patchogue restaurants. Burgers were incredibly greasy. Service during a Saturday afternoon lunch rush was extremely slow and almost none existent. Had to get our own plates for appetizers, had to ask for forks and knives, had to ask for ketchup to then not have it given to us inwhich we went and found it ourselves. I will never patronize this establishment ever again.

I love coming to this place for their apps! The pretzel is the best! It's about a 40min drive for me, but so worth it. I usually sit at the bar. The staff is absolutely great, but Michelle, the bartender, is so hospitable. Besides her making delicious drinks, she's very welcoming and attentive. Can't wait to go back!

Truly loved the atmosphere! Sport bar but more family friendly. Seafood nachos were a little over cooked but otherwise everything else was EXCELLENT. Would of given 5 stars bit the restaurant seemed a little crowded for my liking during the pandemic. Service a little slow at times.

I hosted a networking event at Aroogas recently and the staff (especially Michelle) was super helpful in setting up, serving, and making sure me and my event attendees had everything we needed. The food was great, the environment was fun, and the service was the best. If you're thinking of place to have an event or just grab food/drinks that are very reasonably priced, I recommend Aroogas!

A delicious burger, love to taste the charcoal on it. Nice tasting sweet potato fries and regular fries as well and a filling chicken sandwich. With fantastic service while we sat at the bar since the back dining room was way too hot. The $10 lunch special is worth it.

We met for lunch and sat outside. The waitstaff were very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. I had the boneless wings, which they have numerous ways to prepare them, so it is not the same old, same old. My wife had the salad with grilled shrimp, which was fresh and the shrimp was tasty. We had a few draft beers, which they have a nice selection of. Definitely will go back. If you are in the Patchogue area, stop by for a great time.

I stopped in last night for some take out for myself and three friends. Three of us had a cheeseburger with fries and a other person had the sample of platter. With the tip it came to about $60 which I felt was a fair price. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. Not the first time I've come to this restaurant and it definitely won't be the last. There were plenty of seats at the bar and in the main restaurant area.

Great sports bar with so many different food options! You'll always be trying something different every time because the menu is simply that large! Plenty of different and amazing mixed drinks at a reasonable price. Servers are very friendly and create a cool atmosphere. Whether you're looking for drinks or having a family dinner, this place is great for everyone!

The first time we went the food was surprisingly good for a chain sports bar. The second time the food was average at best, and wrong. But it could've just been a new chef as the waitress hinted but didn't say, and apologized for the inconvenience. The service is fast and pleasant, there's a wide variety of both food and drinks, and the atmosphere is exactly what you expect from a sports bar.

If you want to have a night out dancing or a quiet chill dinner, Aroogas is the place for you. The service is amazing and the vibes are on point. They have a huge variety of food and every time I go there, I try to try something new! There are a bunch of TVs for watching a game. Definitely recommend! ??

Took an hour to get our appetizers, then another 45 minutes for our meals. When we finally got our meals, everything was barley warm. During this whole time the waitress only checked if we needed anything once. When we complained the waitress gave us an attitude! I still tipped her! The manager was super nice(I believe his name was John)and apologized for what happened and discounted our meals. Even as nice as he was, we will not be returning.

Amazing place! If someone is giving a bad review don't listen! We go there all the time, we love it! Delicious food, incredible cocktails and great staff! It's crazy how big their menu is and somehow everything they cook is like..perfect! Their creamy potato soup is the best and don't even get me started on the burgers or the flatbread ! My favourite spot right now!

The drinks and the bartenders at this place are really good which is why it makes me upset to write this review, but whoever was the bouncer on Halloween night was completely rude and insulting. He insulted both me and my boyfriend before letting us in, afterwards we walked right out because I refuse to spend money at a place where I'm being insulted before I even have a chance to sit down. I would really like if someone could reach out to me so I could give more details on what happened because it was so u

If there was a zero star option, I would click it food was terrible. I got the donut burger. It looked like melted cheese on a burger. The only decent thing was the pretzel But still was terrible. That workers were so mean and complaining Never come here and waste your time if you're gonna get food it's so bad. Please go to anywhere else in Patchogue this It's so bad honestly honestly disgusted of how they even make the food. They shouldn't even have a license to make food there's Patchogue who is in t

We ordered the Aroogas burger and fries and perogies. Please use LESS SALT!! The burger was over salted and the fries way too salty. Let people add it themselves.please. The bun was soft and fresh. The perogies nothing special. This was treat and my family wanted to give this place another chance. Disappointed again.

I placed a takeout catering order from them on their website over a week in advance. Called 4 days before the order (to modify it) was supposed to be delivered and they didn't have my order. After dealing with a rude manager saying "I don't want to be blamed for this you probably put the wrong location in" I sent him my order confirmation number and location. (the location was right) He then said I don't know why we didn't get the order. Fast forward to the day of delivery they were on time and delivered ev

The menu has a lot of interesting items and the atmosphere is good for a sports bar; it must have a fun energy when it is crowded. I went with a party of five other people at a time when the restaurant was nearly empty; there was only one other occupied table and three or four people at the bar. Even though it was so quiet, the service was very slow throughout the whole time we were there. We ordered three appetizers that took about twenty minutes and the server apologized for the delay, but the service did

Me and a buddy have visited Arooga?s twice. The first time we had a great waiter, he was friendly and very attentive and made great suggestions for us. Our only complaint was they did not have some of the beers listed on the menu. On our second visit we had a nonchalant waitress, no enthusiasm to serve us what so ever, pleasantries yeah right! She seemed to have a problem with us upon first sight, if not for my friend I would have left (he's the nice one). Our receipt mentioned a Raff not sure if that was

The food, the service and the atmosphere are Q10 excellent. Haven't seen so many TVs in a sports bar. No matter where you look there's something there for you to watch. Food is excellent you have to try their arooga burger.

Lively crowd, TV displays everywhere you look. The Buffalo wings with bones were fried beyond recognition, little meat, I will try boneless next time. Fries were good. Good beer selection, good staff.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
