Had a great time here! We visited for my friend's birthday and had a blast. All the retro games and memorabilia made me feel like a kid again. They let us use a room for our small party and we brought our own food and drinks. The owner was very nice. They were several games down but there were more than enough games to have a blast! It's not a perfect place, but it's an inexpensive place to have a good time.
This place is amazing! The amount of vintage games and vintage gear is amazing. My family travels 45 minutes to have hours of family fun. I love that I can feel safe with allowing my 12 year old to roam and play. We get to have hours of fun for only $5 bucks. It's a great place to get kids off their phones. Love it and will continue to keep coming back.
Such a wonderful place and love the location. My family and I have been coming here for the past three years and each interaction with the owner has been pleasant and friendly. You will see all sorts of people here; little girls with their dads, college students and old school enthusiasts. It's gives you a glimpse into the diversity of Fayetteville. Hope this place stays open for years to come.
If I could give six stars I would, this is more than just an arcade but a slice of history. Preservation is an extremely important aspect of the Video Game scene and these guys are doing a great part in keeping this vintage cabinets alive for the next generation to enjoy. There will come a day when all old consoles and cabinets finally kick the bucket and stop working, but these guys are doing a great part in prolonging that. Not to mention: 5 bucks entry. Unlimited play. Unfathomably good deal. Go to Dave
Shea is literally the kindest human I've ever met. He's so sweet to my kids. We are moving out of state soon and needed our last Arkadia fix. Please don't skip this if you're driving through Fayetteville, it's such an amazing experience for the 30+?s and even their kids! Even the bathroom walls have inspirational messages ???? I am always so happy when we come here and Shea makes the experience that much better with his entire demeanor. Support this business!! We love Arkadia!! ????
$5 to play any games for as long as you want - absolutely worth the visit. Yes there are games out of order, but there is easily a hundred arcade games available to pick from between two large rooms. We went right when it opened on a Saturday and had no issues finding games to play. Yes, it smells a little, and could use a vacuum, but for $5 it's a steal.
For five dollars of all-day gaming, this location was certainly worth a visit. My main concerns were the facility's odor, the lack of hand sanitizer, and the malfunctioning machines, particularly the Super Mario games, which was disappointing. The experience evoked nostalgic feelings and was enjoyable during my short stay, but there's potential for improvement in this unique space.
This place was great! So many games to play and only a $5 cover charge! He's got retro arcade games, retro console games, foosball, air hockey, a little bit of everything. The owners are very nice people.
$5 per person for this all-you-can-play arcade is such a steal! There are so many games and it's hard to play them all unless you spend hours here, so that's a reason to keep coming! It's a new adventure every time. Sure there's some broken machines, but there's no shortage of games by any means. I've been here several times now and still haven't played all of them! The owner and staff are extremely nice and very cool.
Absolutely enjoy this place. Owner loves his establishment and joy of sharing a nostalgic childhood to the public. Although, Some machines are down and needed repairs it doesn't negate the experience. The atmosphere was buzzing on this day.
I had the absolute BEST time here celebrating my 40th birthday! So many games and the owner was so so kind!! We will definitely be back when we are back in town. Thank you again for such a wonderful experience.
One of the BEST old school arcades I have ever been too! Not just to play games but this place is also a museum to the early days of gaming! The guy at the front desk was so kind and listened to me ramble on about my gaming career. And he walked me through the history of arcades in Fayetteville. Next time I visit Fayetteville, this will be the first place I go to! Heck I might even throw myself a birthday party there!
Love this place! Only $5 and you can stay all day if you want. They have all the classics and even if a couple are down, just come back again and play them next time :) The fact that one person runs this whole place and works on the machines is super impressive. The 80s vibes are so perfect and I love all of the decor. Amazing date spot, hangout spot, and place to escape the world when you need it.
10/10 RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! The owner there is the nicest person you'll meet. The games are all super fun, it's worth $5 for all you can play! I would like to say not all the games are working but these are old games so keep that in mind! He is working hard to get them fixed but there is so many that are working. (Especially when you have lots of kids coming in there) It's definitely a family establishment and I would recommend taking your family there or just going yourself. It's a fun time for low cost. Y
Stopped in to kill some time. BTW they only take cash!. They had a ton of options in games and a lot of cool things to look at. My 17yr son, my husband, and myself had a great time. I want to come back just to support this place because these are some amazing games I have not seen in a long time.
What a fun and unique place! Don't forget to get cash when you go. $5 at the door in cash. Everything else is free! You can also bring drinks and snacks. They tell everyone to go to Dollar Tree down the way and load up get cash back and then come have a night. Really cool!
This place is amazing - tons of vintage video games (two rooms full!) and the staff is friendly and welcoming - you can tell they love video games as much (or more) than the customers. 5-star experience all around!
This place is always my go to for birthdays and just all around adult video gaming fun. I absolutely love going here with friends and family. I've gone here since it opened and they've always done their best to keep all these retro machines in working order. As a lifelong gamer It's expensive and time consuming, and they knock it out the park every time. Please keep going, keep spending your money and time here and support local business. I for one hope this place never leaves.
Been coming to this place for years, since it first opened when I was a young teen. It's always a delight and a joy to be here, and Shay really pours their whole heart into keeping these retro games alive. One of my favorite spots for sure!
Exactly what you would expect. Tons of classic arcade games for a flat $5 charge. Tons of fun to be had, if you're into that. Cash only, so be aware. The owner let me and my son in because we drove from a little aways, so that was very appreciated and unexpected.
80?s and 90?s kids Time Machine! Come check this place out! $5 all you can play. Best place for a family night hang out. Party rooms as well as retro relaxing areas. Safe atmosphere for kids to venture as well. You got to meet Shay, the owner, he's a great guy!! We'll be back.
This place. It takes me back to when we would have 5 bucks and my mom would drop us off at the mall on a Saturday. Classic video games that are the best and never get old. Track and Field is an all time favorite. Shea runs a great venue and at only $5, you can't beat it. Plus, there's ALWAYS some cartoon from the 80?s on the tv. And at this price, maybe I can finally figure out how to play Dragon?s Lair.
I love it! The owner so nice and kind, definitely I'm coming back soon ??
Loved this place. Sent me packing down nostalgia lane, remembering the hours spent in an arcade as a kid just pounding quarters into machine after machine. $5 for free play is a bargain and an excellent way to spend an afternoon. Shay, the owner, was incredibly welcome to me, my wife, and my 18 month old kiddo. He made the entire visit feel personal, and it was like chatting with an old friend you hadn't seen since you spent all that time swapping high scores in U.N. Squadron. Was also awesome to see kids e
Fun time with the family. This place brings you right back to the 80s. And you can't beat the cost at 5$ per person. Insane amount of games to choose from . .I highly recommend this place for a date night, a day of nostalgia, or just a fun way to spend a couple of hours with the family.
This place is awesome! Only five dollars per person gets you in for unlimited play! What a flashback? They have all your retro favorites. Reminds me of when I was in middle school playing all these games. Definitely have to come check this place out!
CASH ONLY! Very fun and really cool old games. Kind of like a museum but you get to play everything and the games are all free with admission. There isn't any food or drinks sold in here which I think would improve this place but it's not necessary.
Honestly can't say enough great things about the place. Great atmosphere, great attitude, lots of games, big space, clean, and affordable. Great fun for the whole family for a great price. Not a face without a smile. We will be definitely coming back on our next vacation!
If you aren looking for a great fun, low-cost afternoon you need to come here. We were in town this weekend for a concert just looking for some fun things to do and happened upon this place. The owner is incredibly kind and has curated a FANTASTIC collection of arcade games. $5 Cash gets you in and then it's unlimited play. Great time!
I can't wait to go back. Took my husband and 11 yr old daughter and we only had 10 bucks in cash (didn't know it was cash only oops) and the doorman let us in which was incredible. We will definitely bring an extra 5 the next time we come and there will be a next time. We stayed about 3 hrs and had so much fun. I found some of my favorites from my childhood. Very nostalgic. I can't recommend this place enough and I can't wait to go back!
Not trying to be a jerk but that Marcelle Hanauer lady is full of BS. most of the machines here are operational and the owner does his best to fix the ones that aren't. He also adds different machines once in a while! This is one of the best places in town! Don't let that senile person who said ?all machines broken? fool you! Give yourself a chance and check it out!
I wish I had more than a couple of hours to spend here. The place is a passion project of the owner's. The style and decor took me back to my childhood days spent in places just like this. we need more of these kinds of places! You can't beat the price of the games either, with only a cover charge to pay for unlimited play.
One of my favorite new places in town! First off, insanely cheap. $5 per person for free play on every machine is an incredible deal. Secondly, the staff is beyond kind and informative. You can tell they are all really passionate about their jobs and customers. Thirdly, the selection of games to play is EPIC! Rows and rows and rows of great options to pick from. This just became a new regularly stop for me.
We discovered this place in 2024 and will always come back to it anytime we're in Fayetteville. Amazing place for an unbeatable $5 price! Getting to introduce my kids to MY generation of gaming at places like this worth way more than $5! The owner is obviously passionate about his business, as he greets you at the door and seems over the moon for you to come inside and enjoy the games. Don't let any reviews scare you with the "half the games aren't working" nonsense. It's true, but there are DOZENS of aw
One of our absolute favorite things to do! Most fun and best value around. Mike Tyson?s Punch Out had me hooked like I was 8 years old again. ????
My review will include details about stroller/wheelchair accesibility, small kiddo friendliess, overall experience, etc. We had a party of 10 show up on a random afternoon and the owner was so sweet he only charged us $10 for our entire group to game all day for free. Suffice it to say this place is well loved and therefore quite understandably busy. However there always at least 5-10 arcade machines open at any given time so there is always something to do. There are two main rooms you can access to gam
A Nostalgic Trip Down Memory Lane! My husband and I went to Arkadia Retrocade in Fayetteville for date night, and it was absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked in, we felt like we'd stepped back in time. The retro vibe, classic arcade games, and overall atmosphere brought back so many wonderful memories. Shay, the owner, was incredibly kind and welcoming. He only charged us $5, which is an unbelievable price for such a priceless experience! We had just an hour to spare, but it was more than enough t
We had so much fun here! The girl at the door was amazing at her job, and she was really accommodating and I would come back just because of her! It was super chill, and they even had old consoles, and TV?s and a couple couches for folks to play OG Mario cart, Donkey Kong ect. The only negative thing I have to say about it was there was no option for snacks and drinks. 10/10 though. It was a great night.
Great staff and perfect place to re-live some of the good ol' days of an arcade! I took my 12 year old and he really enjoyed it. Thanks for keeping these old arcade machines alive and relevant!
Nostalgia factor was on point. The hostess was super friendly and informative. There was a lot of games and memories came flooding back from my child hood. There were quite a few games that were broken down but that is to be expected with the age of them. I would definitely go back.
Absolutely the coolest place I have been in 35 years. Brought me back to the early 80?s arcade days. The ownership is absolutely first class. I will come back every time I'm in Fayettname!
Amazing collection of arcade games. I was blown away! Huge. Blast from the past. And such a good deal! Super friendly owners. A must see and must experience locale in Fayettechille.
Would 100 percent recommend coming to play some games here! $5 play as much as you want!!! Great customer service we really enjoyed spending a few hours here. We'll definitely be back!
I absolutely love this place! It's the quintessential 80s-90s arcade. All you can play for a very low price! Arkadia has a ton of the classic games and some rare cabinets sprinkled in. They also have some old consoles, air hockey, and table hockey. Yes, there are several games that are out of order, but that's because parts for these old machines are becoming scarce and expensive. These machines take a lot of abuse. Please be respectful while playing these machines so that others can continue to enjoy them
Awesome place and incredible staff, friendly, really want to make sure you have fun. I brought my 10 year old and we had a blast. Highly recommend for a fun night
We absolutely love this place. We don't get to visit often, but unlimited play for just a few bucks is amazing. They only accept cash, so be prepared. Many of the machines don't work, which is a shame, but the nostalgia is great.
Absolutely amazing place to visit. These 2 games of Tron alone are worth visiting for. Tons of classic and a surprising amount of games I did not know and have never played before. Add this place to your list if you are in the area.
An 80's dream come true. I can't tell you how much fun my kids and I have here. It's a safe, fun, inexpensive experience for anyone of any age! The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and everyone is there to have a blast (from the past lol ??). This is a MUST visit!!!
A real treasure for true gamers. There's so much cool stuff to look at and tons of great cabinets to play as well as consoles to play as well and best of all its extremely affordable. The staff on hand are incredibly nice, do yourself a favor if your a retro lover, stop by here.
Photos don't capture the essence that is Arkadia Retrocade. Last time I went here was before the pandemic and it has expanded! So many retro games! I really liked how Shea has the games grouped together. I think it's also very kind of Shea to still only charge $5 for unlimited play. Can't wait to come back and beat my high score on Galaga :)
great nerd place, love the comfortable vibes of the place, ran by just one guy which is super impressive. Has some really great vintage cabinets, capcom vrs marvel which is always so fun with my group of friends we take turns playing it. Theres always crts playing movies and its head to toe in vintage memorabilia . Sad thing is that some games go out frequently due to the age and because its just one guy you dont know when it will be repaired. Otherwise plenty to choose from, its 2 levels of retro games and
Great fun for every age! There should be more places like this. The owner is cool and obviously in it for the love of the games. Highlights from a kid of the 80?s: Ms. Pac-man, Qbert, Space invaders, Ninja Turtles, Fix It Felix and more!
This place is fun for the whole family. They have lots of old school games such as Pac-Man and Missile Command. Walking in and seeing the Atari logo on the wall, I felt like I stepped back into the 1980s. $5 to get in, and you can play as many games as you want. Just remember, cash only. I would give it five stars, but to get that fifth star from me, they would have to fix Aerosmith Revolution!
We had a fantastic time at this arcade. Our favorites were Rampage and there is a Root Beer serving game that was weirdly stupid fun. I won all the rounds of mortal combat against my other half and she is still mad. Thanks for a great time. Was recommended to us from a coworker in Little Rock and it did not disappoint. Will suggest others come by and will be back when we are in town again.
I've spent so many hours in Arkadia; my boyfriend and I went on our first date there, done photoshoots, and even attended friends? birthday parties. Love this place, so much heart and soul. Places like Arkadia are what make Fayetteville so special.
Went for the first time today as a date and it was a blast ? so many good games and it's a fun travel back in time
You could spend hours in here literally hours and its only 5$ and you can play everything for free after. This is a great place for all persons and ages. Kids and the older kids who miss the classics. A few machines were down and I really hope they wipe off the buttons and joysticks a few of them felt sticky ... Yuck. But other than that I would 100% recommend this place and would come again if we were in town. Keep on growing the place and putting it together!
I'm so impressed with this arcade! The employees or owner were extremely nice. It's only $5 a person and you get unlimited access to all their games. We absolutely loved it!
I love this place so much it is a great way to spend a night with friends or with family it's such a blast coming here Everytime there is so much to do that everyone finds something they love to play from space invaders to the first Mario kart and more!
This place brings you back to the 90?s with all the video games you loved?unlimited play for just $5. This is my 8 year olds favorite place in NWA?it tops the list whenever we have a day he gets to plan. We can spend 4+ hours here playing and competing against each other. The owner is also the best; recognizes his repeat customers and is so nice. We love this place!
First off, coolest place EVER! The owner is exceptionally nice & they have such an awesome vibe here. $5 admission and all you can play games!! There's a snack bar, places to sit and play old systems hooked to 80s style TV's, it's a perfect date night spot SO many arcade games like Street fighter, Tetris, Pacman, and battletoads. They have a whole downstairs (a ramp for wheelchairs) that's filled with even more games and a board game room. Young kids and adults love it . This was our first time coming
So many games. Of course some are down so I look forward to playing them next time. But still so many. My wife does t play so they gave some of my money back. It's $5 cash per person. They also have old school console games air hockey and fooshball. Look forward to coming back.
We brought our son for his 9th birthday, he had a blast, my 12 year old had a blast, my 20 year old and her husband had a blast, and the husband and I, in our 40?s had a blast!! $5 per person, that's it! The owner was also very very cool! We can't wait to go again!!
Hands down the best arcade I've been to since the 90's. Cash only but for $5 you can play for hours and hours. All games are unlimited and no coins needed. Press a button for a free continue/credit. I ran the MK1 machine for an HR straight. What a great escape from modern times and a flashback to when I was a kid. It was awesome to share this with my son. Can't wait to go back. I wish I could give 10 stars. The biggest selection I've ever seen.
It was a fun experience. It was like walking back into the 80s. The admission fee was $5 and the play was free. Lots of people there enjoying themselves.
Only $5 admission per person for all day unlimited access to their games. Very fun place for kids and adults! They even have couches with TV?s and retro Nintendo and sets games. A nostalgic place to visit and cool way to show the kids how far video games have come since the 80?s/90?s. They have all the classics!
Great value for money, friendly owner. Would suggest that folks with sensory issues (it is dark, blaring lights and can get loud) take any precautions they can (noise cancelling headphones etc).
Super fun atmosphere and a great way to spend a few hours. A $5 cover gets you in and allows you to play all the games, which are all true vintage. The owner is so kind and funny, you can tell this is his passion. We will definitely be coming back next time we're in town!
To borrow one reviewer's comment: 'This place is not a re-creation of an old 80s arcade, it is an old 80s [and 90s] arcade!' ...and it pretty much doubles as a museum too. For only $5 to play hundreds of games all day the price also feels very 80s. If you ever find yourself in NW Arkansas, Arkadia Retrocade is a must!
We have been going here for years and love it so much! One of the best places around and definitely some of the kindest people. ??
We love this place! Owner is awesome, real down to earth guy, and $5 gets you in. You can play unlimited games - all day if you want to!
Awesome place to go to take kids, even as an adult was very entertaining. Very good price for great experience. Definitely will be back again.
Incredible place, great feel, a ton of fun...we didn't want to leave! My family all said we just wanted to move to Fayetteville just to play regularly for this arcade??. From pinball to atari and every machine in between, clever art and decor, this multi-level place has it all, and you just can't leave without feeling nostalgic and happy.
Wonderful place! Must visit when you're around here especially if you love playing retro games. The Starwars Trilogy was my favorite. If you get a chance to meet the guy who owns this say hi! Most recommended in Fayetteville!
AMAZING!!! Felt like I was 12 years old again and the staff is so kind and welcoming. Would definitely recommend for anyone to check out!!
This is an arcade and this is a museum. A living preservation of the history of video games! This was an incredible experience and I enjoyed every second of it. Arkadia has some obscure cabinets that would not be around if not for places that preserve and display history like this. Absolutely wonderful experience. Go here and treat yourself. Also Tetris is still king of games. Step aside, Pac-Man. Also highly recommend Gyruss. Beat my score!
This place is fricken AWESOME!!! Amazing price for what you get to expirence. Good environment as well
What a hidden gem. $5 cash gets you in to play all the games you want for as long as you want. This is obviously a passion project for the owner. It's a great activity for a rainy day, bday party, or whatever excuse you want for bugging out over old school games for hours. ?????
The owner Shay was so kind. The games are fantastic and the price is perfect! We will be back!
5 dollars for a full day of fun is seriously the best deal I've ever seen, I had an awesome time here.
The owner is the nicest person you'll ever meet. He's super appreciative of your business and is typically working the door. (I love when a business owner is hands on and works alongside their staff). $5 cash per person gets you in to play all the games your heart desires with no time limit! The place has a nostalgic vibe and will take you back to 1980. Frogger, Pac man, Donkey Kong, Tetris, Street Fighter, & Ninja Turtles are just a few of our favorite old school arcade games to play. There is also a
This was a great place and a great experience for my 10year old. I honestly did not think he would like playing games from the 80s with crappy graffics, but boy was I wrong. He said he was in Heaven. That goes to show graffics are not everything. $5 per person for all you can play all day is a good deal. Glad we were able to find a place like this.
Fun place. My kids loved playing the games I grew up on. And it surprised them that I was good at these games? and beat them. Very different from what they play today, but they had a blast. Edit - daughter in town for the week. Went back again today at her request. Fun time.
Old school arcade. Tons of games, cool space, and great fun. Very chill place to play without the chaos of the chuckecheese style arcades. Probably one of my favorite places in northwest ark.
Love the place, it has that retro vibe and a lot of arcade games from my childhood, my son loved it!!! Great job and hats off to the owners, keep it up guys, you're awesome.
Classic Fayetteville spot to go and hang out. The owner is one of the most charismatic people I've ever met. He let us in for free since it was my wife's birthday and we had a great time.
My son and I went there. Gave me flashbacks of childhood. The guy running it was awesome. My kid wants to go there all the time. Its cheap and you can literally stay there all day. Worth it
GREAT DEAL ALERT! Read through to find out the best part!! This is an old school arcade with awesome games like PacMan, Space Invaders, Centipede, Star Wars and so much more. The owner is a really nice guy that also offers group rates and occasionally will give free admission to the lady with you! Ok, the best part is...(drum roll)...it was only FIVE BUCKS! That's right, no multiple rolls of quarters, or having to keep sticking money in machines to get tokens or charge up a plastic card! $5 gets you in to p
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
