Can't explain how much fun we had at Arcade Monsters in Sarasota. The staff were great, drinks were very reasonable, and the best part is once you pay the cover charge, all the games are free. Great atmosphere and a great time, highly recommended!
Fun place at a great price. Pretty good selection of pinball upstairs with AC and a balcony. I'll definitely go back when in the area.
Miracle was an absolute pleasure to have as a bartender. That's on period. On the contrary, the food is cheaply made. The pretzel is very large and decent but the chicken tenders are high-school lunch room quality. It's as if they shred the chicken and add the most minimal amount of batter to hold it together. It's not a very pleasant texture. The sauces that come with the tenders are also highly processed and not enjoyable (save the hot sauce). I also do not like the fact that the owner requires effemina
Absolutely love the atmosphere. Plenty of video games (new and old), some of which I have never seen before. Just paid $16 for entrance for unlimited plays until close. Melodie was a great host at the bar who made a great strawberry margarita mixed drink. Highly recommend if you are in the area.
I had amazing experience here at this arcade, particularly because of the bartender, Melodie. She was very sweet and funny and made delicious drinks, 10/10 would come again <3
Great hangout spot, lots of fun! Yummy, our host was awesome! Definitely recommend!
My husband and I came here while vacationing in Sarasota. Let me tell you, not only is this place super affordable ($45 for two people), the workers are so kind. We came here on a Thursday night. Played so many games and the drinks were so good! Definitely a place to visit while in Sarasota.
Ryan and Nate are phenomenal! Decent play for $16/ea! Ryan makes a great Cinnamon Toast Crunch slushie with rum.
Overall great experience. Some of the pinball machines needed help.(Ex. Some flippers won't working and some machines couldn't find the ball to start a game.) 4 out of the rest of machines had a glaring issues. Overall cleanliness could have been better. Stairs looked like they have never been vacuumed or swept and it was also quite warm like the AC wasn't functioning properly. Still had fun playing pinball!
This was my first time experience here at Arcade monsters in st Armand?s circle I bright my 2 sons to play. They were so excited. Walking into the establishment e were immediately greeted by 2 absolutely amazing beautiful young energetic ladies who were equally very knowledgeable and personable This place it's very lucky to have these 2 amazing employees to be the face that greets the customers. I will highly recommend this place as a must visit while here on vacation
Ok experience for a rainy day but overpriced. A lot of the machines were out of order.
We had a wonderful time at arcade monster! Grace was a wonderful bar tender and helped us with whatever we needed. Would recommend to anybody young or 21+.
Love this place! I've been going here for quite awhile! Used to have frequent meet ups here. Manager/owner is very nice. Lots of rhythm games and pinball machines! Cool backlights. Near lots of restaurants. Good price, open late :)
You cannot beat a arcade with unlimited game play for one price. I think it was $25 per person but they had so much games and a lot of it was imported from japan which you won't find anywhere else. We were there for 3 hours and me and my kids had a blast. Truely an amazing place and worth the price. The decor was great, they had a pool table and giant jenga on the top floor. Honestly we can spend a entire day there just trying to beat all the games. We finish one game till we beat it and it took us ov
Visited here today. It's $14.99 for unlimited play. I was pleasantly surprised because I thought it was more. 2 complaints: 1. It was hot in there. However, today was the warmest day we've had in weeks. I know that can be tricky. The bathrooms upstairs were disgusting! Overall it was a fun experience and we will be back.
Fun spot for video games, pinball, air hockey, and pool. It's a pay one price program, so it's a great bargain. Good family fun, but also serve adult beverages. Very pleasant staff.
This is really what arcades should be. One fee and play all night! And up to date Japanese arcades. I really hope this place stays for the long haul! $20 Entry. I didn't ask but i also didn't see any sanitizing stations. Id love one because your hands feel a bit icky after playing a while.
Visited at 12PM on 2/24. There was one employee who was not friendly by any means, she sat there on her phone, couldn't even smile at anyone. The place had numerous broken games, some good ones were working. Love the idea of unlimited play. $14 was a good deal. The place was pretty dirty and extremely hot. The bathrooms were so gross that my 3 year old said something. Would I go again? Probably not.
When I say this is the best arcade I've ever been to, I mean the BEST arcade I've ever been to. I couldn't believe it. To begin, paying upfront for unlimited games is an unbelievable luxury in the world of arcades, and the variety is incredible. Dance games, rhythm games, classic arcade games, pinball, it has everything I could have wanted and a fantastic international selection. Can't recommend highly enough, my wife and I stopped in for some quick fun and ended up staying there for 4 hours until close!
Some machines were out of order or not working well. This is dissapoining when it's open play for a flat rate. One of the security bands on the drum game was broken and it snagged my shirt and ruined it. Otherwise, an okay arcade. There were a lot of Japanese machines and they can be challenging to figure out but I personally enjoyed getting to try games I've never played and don't see other places. Also, the bathrooms weren't clean and smelled very strongly of urine.
We had the best time here! Such a fun atmosphere and great drinks!! Fun for adults or families! We will definitely be back!
Amanda was a great bartender and super friendly we visited! Def recommend!
If you are looking for a great time for a cheap price you no longer have to look it here. Our kids loved this place. Ooooo we the adults did too. The alcohol is a bit pricy but the atmosphere was phenomenal.
Very cool arcade! They have a decent amount of games. The kids love it. It is very loud in there.. if you're somewhat sensitive to loud noise.
I went here to celebrate NYE 2024. They had a special event where they were open late at night. The place is divided into 2 floors. They have a lot of retro arcade games and some newer arcades as well. There was a small bar to get drinks of your choice. The vibes were really popping, and I had a great time. The place is not huge, so I think 2 or 3 hours is more than enough to enjoy it all.
Yummy is just the sweetest she gave such a positive uplifting vibe great drinks great vibes highly recommend if your looking for some fun in Sarasota ????
The goods: - Good pricing system for the amount of game - Has a bar - Kids welcomed - Decent selection of games - Tons of pinball machines if you're into that The bads: - Very loud (I know it's an arcade but my adhd wasn't having it ??) also it was very hard to hear the front desk person/bar tender - Tight spaced even with not many people - Decent number of games broken or in Japanese (The Japanese might be a good thing for you but wasn't for me) Overall thoughts: I believe this is a decent place for t
Amazing place! Tons of games to choose from. And pinball, that's big in this area, not a big pinball selection. All the classics upstairs, awesome anime balcony and a great looking bar downstairs. Switches at the counter is a nice touch. Even the bathrooms are cool! Can't wait to go back and try food and drink. Everything looked great
This place had me feeling so much nostalgia as soon as I stepped inside. There are 2 floors to this place. Not going to lie, I thought it was just 1 floor and that probably would have been a bit disappointing for the price paid but once you realize it's 2 floors with twice the amount of games upstairs, it was worth the money. The bar serves up food and the philly cheese steak was one of the best I've had in a looooong time. This is a definite go and good time killer to get away from the sun for a little
Awesome spot for a great time with friends or your kids. Go check it out. Drink menu is good enough to get you sloshed as well. Roof top patio is very nice
Had a great time in this stranger Place themed arcade area. Entry is $20 if you don't plan on leaving and coming back 35.00 if you do want to leave and be able to come back. Tons of games from the Retro Pac-Man to the dancing games to Chinese Japanese games. I didn't try the food but they have a variety of quick foods such as nuggets and pizza and lots of drink choices. Pinball, skeeball, air hockey, music games with guitar, drums and dancing. The outdoor back patio is quiet with seating all around pool tab
Edited 1yr later: There truly is too many people getting bent out of shape about the price. Paying $20 equates to individually paying for each game for an hour of play. Any other arcade would easily have a bill of $40+per person after an hour. I stood in line watching families harass the employees about the price when the sign is right there! Disgraceful! And the same goes for the cashless sign. They have always been cashless, with how much they get harassed its a good thing they dont let those girls handle
You always expect things to be worse when you come back again, however I've been here multiple times and it's been more fun each time!! Yummy is for the people and a great hostess!!! Love Arcade Monsters!! ????
Brought our kids here and they had a blast! It's not your ordinary arcade?there's a bar and roof top lounge! Fun games, some unique Japanese games. My kids loved the pin ball machines. The staff, Panda was great and attentive. There's drinks and food. Was a cool spot to randomly stop by during our walk through St Armand Circle.
Best arcade ever! Super affordable, food and drinks are yummy. Our server DD was amazing and so beautiful! Can't wait to come back
Very cool arcade. They have quite a few Japanese machines and while I didn't understand the directions I was able to figure out how to play them. They have something for everybody whether it's pinball ,retro arcades or more modern arcades, plus pool tables and air hockey. It was a fun time.
It was such a fun and great way to spend time with my son. If you haven't been here you have to try it.
This is the best Barcade I have been to, ever. Hands down. It blows away barcades I've been to in Toronto. Truthfully. This sets the highest bar for youthful entertainment. Nice change to see the circle become more young oriented
Great arcade. About 9 new pinball machines that are in very good condition. Lots of cool arcade games as well. Something for everyone to play. Terrace on the second floor to sit outside and relax. Restaurants and shopping all around. Weren't serving food when I was there.
Great spot! Plenty of nostalgic arcade games to choose from. You pay a cover charge and play unlimited all night. 10/10, will be back.
awesome staff and amazing atmosphere! So many games to play on two floors! My kids and i had a super fun time.
Idk about this place? From a pinball enthusiast perspective?not your best choice. A number of games have small but substantial mechanical issues (on Bond- as the ball pops out of the car after the QBranch pocket- instead of ramping to right flipper, it falls off and outlanes) Idk all that much about machine setting but all these Stern games seemed to have a number of multi ball options off( I'm looking at you Foo Fighters & Dreadpool) or most light advancement features off. I know- unless you're a super ge
This place is awesome. The food is delicious and great choice of food at that. The drinks are awesome and anime themed lol. My favorite game is Star Wars battle pod and favorite drink is Bulma Blue! Haley is very kind and informative!! She not only help with us paying for entry but also made my drink and took our orders later.
Great value for gamers! $20 play until they close is amazing, all the games are unlocked. New friendly staff, clean and we'll kept and the drinks are reasonably priced. Will be a regular spot and a welcome addition to SRQ. This is about the only reason as a local I will battle the parking of St. Armand's!
This place is AWESOME !! I went with friend for his Birthday. Had a few beers and played unlimited games for 20bucks. The art in the place is mindblowing. I haven't had the much fun in sometime. I am coming back to beat some high scores. The bartender(6/4/22 1pm) was the best. She knows her anime. Jojo fan is a 10 star rating in my book. Haha You gotta check it out !!!
Grace is the best bartender at the arcade she wants you to have the best experience possible at the arcade! She is awesome I hope she is working when you go !
Mel and Mir made sure we had a great time! Drinks were great. Patio was really enjoyable.
Ok if you're unsure about whether it's worth it... it is. It's unlimited and so so fun. The service is always great, drinks are great, food is great. This is my second time here, served by Cloey, Haley, and Sarah, who are all fabulous!
Panda is so sweet and genuine, she gave me the run down of how it works here. The pinball machines were fun to play with, so old school. Definitely recommend everyone to come out and enjoy.
I'm walking around the area and I see Monster Arcade. I'm like I gotta check this out. I walk in and this place is already lit up with fun energy and excitement. Guess thats the kid in me lol. In a few seconds I was greeted by Allie, SuperCool bartender, who was very friendly and informative. This place is 20 bucks unlimited all day! They have Super Smash Brothers on deck, like on the bar connected Online! You can't beat this. Oh you mean and can walk out and just come right back for another drink and play
Great experience great vibe. Coley was our bartender and she was amazing. You pay one fee and then it's unlimited game playing. I would 100% recommend and come back.
Had so much fun. The girls at the bar were so welcoming. Would come again!
Ok place on a rainy day. Seemed a little run down. Not a very clean atmosphere. Over priced for the experience so many machines were down. Unfortunate really so many missed opportunities here.
I would recommend everyone go here, got a great vibe. Chase is the best bartender and make sires everyone is treated right and served in a timely manner. His drinks are on point and he makes the money you spend well worth it. A good place to chill, have some drinks and have some good food and fun.
I love the place and the girl Jomy is spectacular, her customer service is excellent, the food is super delicious, I completely recommend it, a very nice place
Great atmosphere to hangout with friends, play nostalgic and Japanese games, only $20 entrance for unlimited games, changed my 4 star review from 2021 to 1 star because this place had inattentive, uncaring employees. and there were at least 10 games out of commission. We were required to pay $20 for a 5 yr old who barely did anything but push buttons on games, and we were not offered $10 for her entrance and no games. Kitchen employee eith green hair and fixzy ears was pretty rude. The first time I came to
Great place to hangout with friends, you get a discount for coming dressed up in costume and staff is amazing! They also have some pretty good food too onsite, but there's also plenty of great options around the area.
Super nice staff especially fen everyone is always respectful and service is really fast. All the games are super fun with a wide assortment of games that you can play alone or with friends. They serve a lot of different kinds of drinks and it's all around an amazing place to go alone or with friends.
We came here for my son?s birthday and it was an absolute blast! Amanda was great and made sure we were taken care of!
??Not for kids?? Really not sure how this place has so many good reviews, it was a pretty giant waste of money for us. Almost all of the machines are in Chinese or broken or from the 90s.
Super fun spot, lots of old school games. Really good food, personable staff and all around fun time. Recommended for anyone from kids yo adults, you won't regret coming here. Kudos to Fen who was always paying attention to me and my son. Thanks for the awesome experience.
Went for a drink after work with some friends and it was my first visit. Allie was great and it was a very unique place, we don't have anything else like it in town. Lots of cool games to play and reasonable prices. Nice atmosphere. I'll definitely come back!
Such an amazing arcade! Fun for the whole family! There's arcade games for kids and adults alike, and also a bar for the adults to get some drinks while the kids play. Very cool concept. We will return! Allie was extremely helpful and made a great margarita.
I really enjoy coming to this arcade. $20 for all you can play is a solid deal. Even if you're only here for 30mins, it's still very approachable. The food is good and the staff is friendly. Games are in good condition and Quarter Back Pro is probably my favorite currently. Thanks for the fun!
Nice range of games, great staff, but the place could definitely use cleaning
Tacos are great and the atmosphere is awesome, a lot of cool retro arcades to play! Allie was amazing! She helped recommend the tacos! The environment is family friendly and one of the coolest places I've been to! Also their slushies are made in the kitchen and they are delicious.
Super chill spot with a lot of classics. Kira was our bartender, she was the best. Great food and drinks too, way cheaper than anything else in the area. Nerd heaven! Lots of pinball, arcade machines, and awesome artwork. Will definitely be back.
Fun place, especially if you're into retro gaming. The 2nd floor is packed with arcade classics: Street Fighter 2, Mortal Kombat 2, Q-Bert, and NBA Jam to name a few. All in their original cabinets, too. For $20 a person it was all-you-can play till close. Lunch menu was reasonably priced, and was surprisingly good! Thin crust pizza was tasty, and the chicken nuggets were excellent. I just wish my kids and I had more time to stretch the $20. Although we were there for only a couple of hours, we still had a
i had such a good time! Melody has beautiful customer service, i can't wait to come back!!! <3
This was me and my boyfriend?s first time here and we were looking for something fun to do on a rainy sunday night. The service was fast and pleasant and the food was delicious. We will for sure be back again.
Amanda was amazing! The kids had such a great time. Would definitely come again
Went here for a date and had so much fun ?? loved the atmosphere and decorations. Big selection of games. Sarah at the bar was super nice and put saftey lids on our water :)
Fun time out with the Mrs. definitely a cool spot to go to if you want to relax a little bit while having fun. I highly recommend playing basketball. If you're visiting or live here come on down for sure
Came here with some friends and had an awesome time. We loved seeing who could get the highest score on the punching bag. A big thank you to the bar tender Savanna for recommendations! The strawberry slushy was the best
Panda was amazing. She was very informative and nice. Will definitely stop at the bar again! Great experience!!!
I love this place. Extra extra bonus points for the cosplay! PANDA ; she is amazing... definitely come while she is on shift. You can't miss her pretty in pink hair .! My mini me and are having a blast! Did I mention we love cosplay! The neon lights - all in the beautiful Lido Beach.
Amanda was super fun and awesome with our party! This place is super dope and is a hidden gem here in Sarasota!
Super fun for a few hours, pay one price to get in and play a good assortment of games including ski ball, DDR, pinball, pool tables and japanese games. Definitely check it out for fun
This place is amazing. Instead of normal arcades where you pay at every machine you pay $20 upfront and get unlimited access! It has all the normal arcade games you would find plus some cool Japanese imported games I've never seen before. The decorations all over the walls are super cool. The staff were very nice especially Katrina our bartender for the night. Will definitely come back on my next vacation here.
Camryn at the bar is so awesome. So informative, attentive, and has the best attitude! This place is my new favorite place to go to. It's hard to find a place where the employees are happy to be working! Haha
I love this place, good food and even better games. Mel was so sweet and helpful
The price was so cheap, and we had hours of fun. Something for everyone todo. Also, they have pool tables on the second floor balcony. It's so beautiful out there! Definitely recommend.
The atmosphere is great. I had the pleasure of experiencing River as my bartender. My Sailor Moon Colada was the bomb!! And the food is great!! River is that guy to see, and make sure you tip him!!
It's so much fun!!! Definitely good for hanging out with friends!!! Camrynn?s outfit is sooo cute ????????
Great atmosphere! Great games! Great drinks! Great food! This is my first time here and I'm happy we decided to come. There's a good selection of old timey and modern games. Would recommend for anyone (:
Good value for a few hours. All games worked well and they had a good selection. My son had fun and I did as well. My son enjoyed the ski ball and pinball. My bartender Josh was very helpful. The chicken tacos were delicious.
Great arcade my kid loved it. It's 20 dollars for the wrist band for unlimited play all day. They are open from 11 am til 2 am there is a bar with food. We didn't eat there so can't speak on the food. The arcade was awesome and had lots of fun games to play. The decor and atmosphere was enjoyable. The bathrooms were awesome with the comic strips and newspaper wallpaper. You can not play the games with your children if you do not buy the wrist bands they will ask you to stop and either purchase or not play I
Only cool place on st. Armands besides colombia melodie was a great bartender!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
Yes, rhythm games in arcades are a vibrant hit in 2025! Titles like Dance Dance Revolution and Beatmania deliver high-energy fun, blending music, movement, and precision. Modern machines boast vivid displays, booming sound systems, and diverse song libraries, from J-pop to EDM. They challenge reflexes and rhythm, with competitive leaderboards and tournaments fostering a lively community. Arcade dance floors are regularly packed, proving rhythm games’ immersive, physical thrill keeps them a standout in today’s gaming scene.
