Awesome great place to play games my hometown demolished our mall and got rid of our arcade way before that glad I got to enjoy it with my son playing new arcade plus lots of retro games like the Simpsons , and donkey Kong, and PAC man. They also have a PAC man battle royale game that's really entertaining.
I've been coming here for a week or two to play pinball and it's a great spot. They have a half dozen or so pins ranging from retro to newer Stern machines and the prices are very fair. They use tokens but you can buy them with a debit card and they will cash you back out if you have tokens left when you leave. The machines are in good repair and the place is clean. They have a range of other arcade games from old to new as well, plus air hockey. The staff is friendly and when a machine shorted me a token
Most of the machines were powered off. Although they said they would power them on if needed, no arcade experience.
Totally rad ? had my son?s birthday party here and it was a hit! We paid a totally fair price per kid and they each got a cup full of tokens that let them play all the games they wanted until we eventually had to drag them out of there.
Been meaning to swing by this place since they have great pinball and was finally able to do to our pinball league night this week. Pinball machines were in great shape and they have an awesome collection. Pricing is much better than what you see at most bars as well. Definitely going to be coming by here more often. 5/5, I highly recommend it.
Great little arcade spot. The staff was friendly and helpful. AC could make this place better. It was a bit toasty with all the electronics running. And of course more pinball!! The machines they had all worked well, or were clearly marked as not. It was great to see some classic machines still working well. Winning a few match games was fun too. My date had some fun taking down some bucks, her favorite game to play. Will definitely be back.
Fun blast from the past with some really old video games. Great way to burn some time in SLC before a flight. Attendant was extremely helpful
I dropped by to play pinball while on a cross country road trip. I was excited to see they had a recently released title, Mandalorian, and a highly rated classic, Addams Family. There were 8 machines in all and they were well maintained. So nice to find an arcade that puts effort into keeping their machines working 100%
Arcade Galactic is one of the best video game arcades in the United States, which is impressive considering it is not a large arcade. The owner is an industry expert and he has leveraged those decades of wisdom and experience to curate a fantastic collection of modern and retro games and a really good pinball selection as well. It is also a very affordable arcade, with some games being as cheap as $0.25. Most of the games in there are arcade exclusive titles, including gems like Maximum Tune 5 (arguably the
Pretty small but decent fun. No ticket system to win awards
My fianc? and I come here all the time to play Minecraft: Dungeons. The prices are very fair and the atmosphere is reminiscent of arcades from the old days! They also have a really cool selection of retro arcade games, which are super rare nowadays. The staff is always welcoming and I have a good time every time I go! Def recommend if you were/are into the arcade scene.
Not worth the bad interaction. The front desk guy was insistent that I only buy a certain amount of tokens for each hour there. Even though he also said I could return ones I didn't use. We planned to spend multiple hours playing games but it was like he didn't believe us. So I bought some smaller amount that didn't last long. Rather than buy more we decided to just go to a different arcade.
Lots of fun and rare arcade games to check out!
The games are fun here, but front desk guy was really rude to me and my cousins as we where in enjoying a game of foosball table, he comes over and speaks very hard being the first time he came to us and says we are laud and will need to leave if we don't stop. We are with 2 kids and is a place to play . And we weren't the laud as he was saying. So if is not a kids friendly I suggest to put a sign about it .
Great place to take the kids for a little fun convenient and of course great pin ball. I highly recommend stopping here with your friends and family for fun.
Nice little retro arcade with some new games. The owner was really cool to talk with. Will definitely go back when I am back in town.
Probably the best arcade in all the Wasatch front. Owner does his best to bring unique, fun, and rare arcade games to the area. Pinball selection is great, and prices are very competitive. Support this small local business!
It was okay. the staff got upset because we were picking up tokens off the floor. They have an okay selection of games. Kinda pricey for an arcade, but that's my own opinion
Loved the nostalgia this place brought. Many old pinball and arcade games for us kids while grew up in the 80s/90s. The ATM inside the store was down, but they can take card at the counter. Minimum charge of $3 to card or you can bring cash to exchange for tokens. Most games were .50 cents to play. Very affordable when a pinball game can last a long time. Great place!
This review is specifically in regards to pinball, as I could care less about any of the other games. The pinball was really good, which surprised me as I usually see 'mall pincades' as overly expensive and generally poorly maintained machines. The games were appropriately priced (new machines being 4 tokens, not new but not old machines being 2 tokens, and old machines being 1 token) and all the machines were in good working order. Best of all, the tokens are refundable. So if you put down for $10 worth
Tiny arcade, sadly when i was there quiet a few games were broken, and some are kinda pricey. Like the racing arcade game u can do with your friend, is 4 tokens per play, but time crisis is 2. The pricing didnt make sense to me. Still a fun place to kill time.
A fun place for retro games, and most were quite inexpensive. I would have been nice to have had ski ball or air hockey and other live games.
Went for the first time today. They were pretty busy, the guy at the counter was very nice and efficient but clearly had a lot of people to take care of. Very few machines were broken; I think one pinball machine was out of order and was clearly labeled as such and the basketball game wasn't recording scores. Their pinball selections was decent, including The Addams Family and the sweet Stranger Things table. I also enjoyed some DDR and their modern Galaga. Prices were very reasonable. We got $20 worth o
What a hidden gem! It's rare to find an old school arcade that has a good mix of old and new games. They have some very rare games and everything was working! Good selection of pinball machines too! The best part about it was the ridiculously cheap prices. They even give refunds for any left over tokens you have at the end of the day. Honestly, I've never been to an arcade this good even back when the arcades were wildly popular. If you are in the area I highly recommend.
First off I will say this. Arcades are all cool, any chance you can get out and enjoy old school games like pinball or double shot I am all for that. My review is based upon the service that I had while in there. So I roll in at 6:05 on a Monday night, not knowing this place was even there I had a Groupon to use. Got to the counter and let the person working know I had a Groupon, without hesitation tells me I can't use it. I ask him why and he states with less than an hour before close he can't give me that
Very friendly staff. Felt like it was half closed because of all the machines turned off to save on electricity. Turn them on when we wanted to use them.
I had family come from out of town and we had a blast there games for all ages I want to go real soon and the staff is very friendly and polite to the public love it ??????
My 5 year old and I loved this! It was really inexpensive, and had some cool games. It was like the nickel-cade, but I didn't have to pay admission, and the games were better. Update: Well, my 5 year old is now 12. This place still rocks. Great games, very accessible, and a ton of fun.
(Talking about rythm games) Although had pretty good machines, they were expensive. I'm talking about the rhythm machines because I didn't try anything other than that. (ddr, and stepmaniax). Although the stepmaniax was in much better condition than the one in Nickel City, it was 4 times the price for the same amount, 2 songs. (1$, compared to $0.25) Plus, even though it was in good condition, it still had some of the same problems as the one in significantly worse condition at nickel city. Maybe it was ju
Super fun flashback to the 80s experience. We loved playing all the retro arcade games, including pinball in the back.
Great old-school games!
They have a good selection of games here mostly newer ones. Had a good time with the family after lunch at the mall. You do have to purchase tokens, but they offer a full refund if you don't use them all. Nice way to spend an afternoon.
So a hell of a lot of the fun stuff was (out of order), the hoops, fozeball etc...My son asked (what did someone trash all the cool stuff?) It's kinda sad these places are like (blockbuster) and also you have to ask to have some of the machines turned on if you want to play them, I get it save electricity. I would make this a my hangout spot for the pinball machines they have some classics if you're into that .
One of the best places in the mall! A wide variety of games, and for the pinball fans they have 8-9 games at any given time. The owners are also really lovely people. This place is the reason I come to the mall!
machines were poorly maintained (3 of the 5 cabs i tried had major mechanical defects, ddr cab had non-standard bar height). if you're not here for pinball the selection is quite weak as well. the pinball players seemed to be having a good time but if you're not here for pinball i can't recommend edit: responding to the post from the owners: 1) the bar seemed short to me, granted, being quite tall i'm very sensitive to short bars and used to machines with higher bars. i didn't have a ruler on me so it's v
barely walked in to grab some cash out of my wallet and the employee was already getting my attention to tell me to leave my UNOPENED can of redbull on the counter which i has just purchased from the Nerd Store. At least their customer service was far more superior. 6:58pm
Awesome place to be. The games are great. I came just for ReRave Plus because I had the mobile version of thd game and was in love with it. Try that one. But also, the other games, like hockey, 4 player pac-man, and arcade classics like dig dug were a blast to play. If you have extra tokens, you can get them refunded. While i was playing, the person at the front came and told me that most people do worse on their first day, and i told him i have practiced on mobile. This place made me happy after some bad t
Great Arcade! They have been making the place better every time I have been there. Galaga Assault is my game to blow off some mid-day steam on my lunch hour. Mixture of both old school and new games, best arcade in Utah.
A true landmark of the arcade universe! It's not everyday you see an locally owned arcade with the latest games that cost less to play than those big Dave and Buster like places aka "Kiddie casinos". A definate recommend if you are in the area!
First of all I am taking no impact on the arcade I think it's really cool. The only thing I have a problem with is the owner because my little brother he dropped his candy on accident and when I went to go get hand sanitizer he starts saying why am I dropping my trash it's disrespectful when I just noticed that he dropped it on accident. We decided to leave because how bad he treats us and it hasn't been the first time he has treated us like that. So yeah I just want an apology for how he treats us.
The gentleman working was rude, and short with us. I was very disappointed. Definitely will not be returning, there is another arcade in this mall do you think they would be nicer to their customers if they want to stay open.
Fun and affordable place to destress.
It's nice to see that there is an arcade in the mall. There for some time, it was hard to find arcade still in malls. This one is average-- they have those machines up front that tantalize little kids to win a prize, but never can. That is unfortunate. Let's get the kids moving and having fun, not gambling and spending all their money and the only thing they get is disappointment. They have a few neat and unusual games inside. Stop by and play a couple of games.
Half the games are off, they don't work how theyre supposed to anymore. But its less expensive than a lot of other arcades, so it's a fair price. Mostly though, the guy at the counter was awesome.
They are really good about maintaining the latest and greatest games, but they let the older games slide into the game cemetery in the back of the arcade. My thinking is if you're going to have the games in the arcade they should work. Or else you end up like the Nickelcade in West Valley.
Great arcade! Staff is very great! It was interesting using tokens again since usually I'm at round 1 with there card swipes it was great feeling like I was 12 again
Any place like this is great. Arcade games are the best. Single and multi-player fun all around. Pinball choices are skant and frustrating but still loads of fun.
I'm recovering from a Groupon binge last year. I ended up with stacks of game tokens. Yes. Worth it! Great place to go for fun as a grown up.
Every time I come to this mall to watch a movie, I always come to this arcade beforehand. This arcade is awesome! I always have soo much fun and only spend $5. The selection they have is good and you will always have a good time if you bring a friend.
the pinball selection is amazing! great place to hangout for a couple hours, also love using tokens instead of a card!
Over priced and not a very good selection of games. At least 3 machines looked like they had been broken for a very long time. Definitely won't return.
Place is always clean and the games are fun. Plus it's nice to still have an arcade that uses tokens instead of cards
My favorite arcade. Best pinball. Some excellent old school arcade machines.
Went for an impromptu pinball tournament. Staff accommodated us. Games were fun, even if I didn't win.
Cool little arcade. This place has pinball!!!! Great game selection. Its a little small but my son and I had a great time playing the walking dead and pinball.
Great selection of arcade games, It totally reminds me of the 1990's decade where me and my friends everyday after school come here and play some pinball, shooters and fighter games. Great times.
Great mix of old school and new games
Feels like a classic, family run arcade which it is. Run by a very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Check in often as they change their selection of games frequently.
Bad service the guy he treat people bad there is a way to tell people it is closed if they don't want to work don't work with oh kids ??
Good assortment of games. However the real gem here is the wall of Pinball machines all priced at $0.50 each.
It was ok but not the best arcade place, a few of there games were out of order or broken in some way , this arcade could have some improvements in the upcoming years ahead
Awesome place for pinball and games. Owner is super cool. Go play the new Mandalorian Pinball. It's awesome.
We stoped there to play some games is always fun to have fun in this place
Great arcade! Worth checking out to play video games and pinball.
I want apologize for the before comment that i make....im so sorry i was trying to let my review on the pretzels store on the other side of the hall
Small enviroment ,smelly, and very little to do
Very cool and a fun experience. Most games were .25 the hiest I saw was .75
I tried this place but games were too old fashioned, they could have at least better screens.
One of the best Arcades I been too in years. My kids had fun!
A great selection from classic to brand new. The games were all working, and fun to play.
It's a smaller arcade with some real gems in there. A couple of pinball machines, a Star Wars Battle Pod, and some rare offerings make it a must visit for coin-op fans.
The best arcade place in West Valley City, Utah
Not a big arcade but super fun. Pinballs were in great shape
Went to Mall. Been a long time since playing arcade games. Pinball...mrs Pac man...centipede...space invaders...donkey kong. Fun
Owned by a game collector has Arcade machines. Nobody else in utah has like tge 4 player pacman machine.
It's a great modern day arcade. It has the new star wars battlepod and great old time classics.
They have Carnevil although it doesn't work it's worth a trip to see it anyway
Fun little arcade in the mall, my family had a blast!
Great, old style arcade. Lots of games, both new and old. Friendly staff
A wonderfully crafted arcade experience with a wide variety of games!! I can't get enough of that place.
Nice to see stores like open threw a pandemic and seen the worker wiping down things
Lov their games they consistently improve with new games n fixing old ones
I've been to many arcades and I like that this one is convenient while waiting for a movie to start.
This place was quite fun. Must come again.
Great place to take the kids and let them play video games.
Smells like urine throughout the store. Kind of overpriced for most games.
Cheap, not the biggest selection of games but I only come to play maximum tune
Great place really love the Addams Fam pinball!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
