WOW, I made the 102-mile drive from the west side of El Paso to Arcade Dungeon in Alamogordo. Ate at Pizza Mill next door. The food was great. Then I headed into Arcade Dungeon. What a step back in time. The place is nice with new and old games. Pinball Premium editions and classic arcade games. They rotate the games every few months to keep it interesting. It was well worth the drive, and I can't wait to go back. Thanks for making this old guy a kid again with a pocket full of quarters. For those wanting t
My wife and I had a great time here this evening! She enjoyed the classic arcade games while I spent all my time on pinball. We both enjoyed Galactic Tank Force pinball the best though! That had a fun theme and was a really great machine overall. The owners are kind and knowledgeable. We definitely recommend people check this place out!
Immaculate pinball and classic video games. Cozy, fun atmosphere. Friendly staff. And in the same building you've got the Pizza Mill, serving (in my opinion) the best pizza in Alamogordo.
Well kept, retro and classic arcade games for cheaper than most arcades- keeps us coming back often.
Truly a hidden gem in the desert southwest! Fantastic selection of games (which are in excellent condition), friendly staff, laid back atmosphere, exceptional value (still play each machine for a quarter or two), excellent 80's arcade ambience, and great pizza restaurant right next door. This is our favorite family entertainment venue in the entire Alamogordo / Las Cruces / El Paso region.
One of the best arcades I've enjoyed in a long time. 10/10 will go back
Great family fun. My 10 year old daughter and I love playing all of the games. The games bring back a lot of nostalgia for me from growing up in the arcade age. If you are looking for something fun to do on the evenings on the weekends the Arcade Dungeon is always a great place for family fun.
Wish I lived closer and cannot wait to come back. The pinball is pristine, varied, and cheap. That combo?s not normal.
A cool little place. Myself madison and Ziggi give this place 5 stars easy. Classic old school games u can play for a quarter. Really friendly staff
Not a family friendly place do not bring the kids in here. They will be called liars and followed around even when accompanied by an adult. They stated they don't make money here but now I see why. Rude as heck.
Awesome environment. Loved the vintage games! Even some that I played as a kid at the Pizza Mill!
Great place that is needed in every city! Old school arcade. Great game and atmosphere!
Love this place. Best variety of pinball machines. This is my church
So so much fun!!!! Love this place!!
Had a great time reminded me of old school arcades I used to go to when I was a kid
This was a blast from the past! Had a great time and great pizza!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
