What a great place to spend the day! Old school arcade classics like Pac-Man and Defender, decades worth of pinball machines and so many games I've seen for the first time. A little snack bar with arcade tables and a fun atmosphere. Well worth the trip!
I gotta say, I'm impressed. What a wonderful collection of newer cabinets and pinball machines and old, really old ones, ones I've never seen, and some I have seen but not working. And for 15 for all play, what a steal. Owner was there and very friendly and excited to share the venue with us, i think he could tell how much we enjoyed it. Geometry telling all my friends, we'll be back.
Absolutely amazing arcade! Loved the selection of games, ambiance and friendly staff. Highly recommend checking this place out.
Awesome retro arcade! Cabinets are well-maintained, staff is very friendly, and the owner takes personal pride in providing the best possible customer experience while reproducing the look and feel of an arcade from the 80s. Definitely plan to be back to battle with friends for some high scores, and will be keeping an eye on the website for news on the planned future expansion!
Great place that we stumbled across. Owner was very friendly and I love the freeplay option (for $15). Some unique and rare games that I have not seen before. Fun place!
If you're looking for something new and different, give this place a try. It's good old-fashioned fun at a great price. There are lots of vintage games to explore from pinball to darts and bowling. Flower City Amusements has been in the family since the 1940s, so it's wonderful to see the original owners? grandson keeping it alive.
I would rate way more stars if possible. Hands down, the best arcade in the state. Has that old school classic arcade vibe and the iconic pinball machines to go with it. And theyre currently in the process of developing their snack bar as well. Arcade 80s is a must visit for any and all gamers.
Owner seems schizophrenic. Keeps blaming any negative opinions left by anyone on me. My original review for the old location was 3 stars because the building was in bad shape and some of the machines were also in need of service. Guy threatened to sue me lol. Also claims that when I asked about COVID policy 4 years ago on Facebook I was "harassing staff" and banned me? Idk. New location looks good just wish the owner wasn't crazy
This Place rules. All you can play for a low fixed price. Old skool arcade, Pinball, and table top games. They always have something new in play when you visit. Just like hitting up an arcade in the 80's, only its free play on everything. Arcade lovers - eat your heart out!
We had our 8 year olds birthday party here. It was great! Everyone had a great time. Kids, parents, it was awesome. Greg the owner was very accommodating, attentive and super personal throughout the planning and during the party. We look forward to going back for a night out. As we were driving away, the birthday boy asked to have his party there next year!
Hosted my son's 16th bday party, we had a blast! The teens thought the arcade games were "too hard" ??. If only they knew how much money we spent on them back in the day. Luckily it's one price here with free play! Owner is super chill and friendly. Truly a great place
I want to said thank to the owner of Flower City Amusement Arcade for the wonderful afternoon that we spent celebrating my son's birthday, excellent service. This place is on another level. I recommend it 1000%
This place is awesome! They have all the best arcade and pinball games, and they are beautifully maintained. Will definitely return!
Arcade 80?s is definitely a must visit spot, my friends and I have had countless fun nights here. With affordable prices, a great atmosphere, well maintained games, and a friendly owner who's passionate about his arcade, you can't go wrong here, absolutely check this place out! I also met Greg Erway here who holds the world record on the arcade game Tapper and was in the movie king of kong which was really cool!
A variety of pinball games as well as old school arcade games. They have a small snack bar. $10 for entry, and you can ay as much as you want, any game you want. Really fun!! Check it out!
The games are totally awesome and so fun, love how vintage they are makes me feel young again and the owner is so very nice everyone should check this place out!
What a blast! This 80s themed arcade is a nostalgic paradise for anyone who loves retro gaming. From the moment I walked in, I was transported back to my childhood with neon lights, funky music, and the sounds of classic games buzzing in the background. The selection games is impressive. everything from Pac-Man to Galaga and some of the best pinball machines I've ever played. Each game is well-maintained. The atmosphere was incredibly fun, with friendly staff and fellow gamers.
I found Arcade 80s recently and I have become a regular patron. There is a great collection of arcade games that are always in working order and very clean. New games are often added. The price for unlimited play is very reasonable. The decor is nicely renovated and facilities clean. I have spoken with the owner many times and he is very personable and accommodating.
This place was really fun! Highly recommend. They have drinks and snacks. Big clean bathroom. Coat racks for your jackets. All games are set to free play so you can spend all night trying to beat high scores. Games are in good shape too!
I had a great time with my friends there, being able to play all the games at a reasonable price. I swear, time flied by I didn't notice that I spent 4 hours at the Arcade
Absolutely amazing, I highly recommend if you want your fix of arcade games!
Arcade 80s is the best! Large selection of games ranging from pinball to classic 80s games and so much more. There's truly something for everyone here. All the games are on free play so you can play as much as you want! $15 for unlimited free play during their business hours is a great deal. Arcade 80s is a great arcade and the owner?s dedication to his business shows.
Clean, friendly staff, well kept games. Was great to play some games in their 1980's cabinets. Paid one price, stayed for hours. PS, the Twilight Zone pinball machine, lots of action and lights!!
What a nostalgic trip to my past! All the famous 80's games! Plus some older games! Alot of fun and a great idea!
I love this place!! It's awesome for any age and it's a really great time!! We will most definitely be going back!!!
The new space is HUGE ! It feels, looks, sounds, smells even tastes like an Arcade. Only missing is cigarette smoke.
My family and I stopped in for a couple hours the other night for the first time. It was awesome to see all the retro games. The owner Greg was on site and very friendly. Looking forward to going back soon.
I've been to Flower City Arcade several times and it never disappoints me. From the selection of 80s games to the mint condition the owner keeps them in. I've been to several arcades, most recently Fun Spot in NH and FC Amusements is just top-notch on quality. The owner is amazing at refurbishing them and often brings in new, old-school games and they're so fun to play. I really enjoy the shooting gallery type games from the 70s. He has a great selection and knows his history on these games. I gotta say I
Greg does a fantastic job at restoration and has a true knack for it. Plenty of fun to be had and the games are in top-notch condition.
Celebrated with family & friends - Happy 30th Jake Ottenschot Good times were had by all! Greg, the host (owner) was very accomodating to put this surprise party in motion. Many will be back to enjoy the great selection of games. Thank you again!!
The are a lot of video and pinball games and all are in pristine condition. The owner is very kind and loves talking about the games. Had a blast there with my sons and will be back again soon.
Today we had my grandson?s 11th birthday party at the arcade and couldn't have been more pleased. The kids AND adults had a great time. We will be back for more fun and highly recommend it. Thank you for a memorable party!!
I've heard about this place for a bit now and we came from about an hour away to check it out! We were not disappointed. The owner greeted us when we walked in and then we got down to business. We stayed for about 2 hours. Everything is VERY clean and the games look brand new. Having grown up during the rush of the arcades, it brought back a lot of memories and quarters lost! I'm looking forward to returning when they move into the new place and have even more games!
Great selection of Games. Nicely restored vintage Pinball and arcade games as well. Playing the restored Skee ball games from Roseland Park on Canandaigua Lake took me back to my youth as we visited the park every summer. My family always has a great time here.
Great place. The real machines not emulation. Loved it!
Had my birthday party held here. Great atmosphere and many fun and classic games to play. A great time for all!
It's an amazing place! The owner is really passionate about creating a fun and inviting atmosphere. All the machines are kept in fantastic condition. There are some really unique pinball machines as well as vintage favorite video games. Great for bringing out your kids or a date night.
This place is great! You can't beat the prices and the atmosphere was welcoming and fun! The owner is very kind and easy to talk to! It is very easy to spend two to three hours here before I feel like leaving. definitely bring a friend or a group because it truly amplifies the experience.Very much a hidden gem in the Rochester area that brings you back to a time where things were a lot more simple. Will definitely be coming back for more fun!
I love coming here. It's definitely an 80s flashback...decor, music, games. It changes up, and they have certainly put some energy into the building maintenance. I'm terrible at video games, but I love the idea of free play with a one-time entrance cost. One room has mostly video games, and the other has more pinball. The "garage" when open during warmer months has skeeball. The "food" is mostly cinema type concessions, which is really all they need if you are coming after dinner anyway. Bring your kid, hos
I went with my brother on September 14th and it went great. There is lots of options and lots to do. The guy at the front desk was very helpful and was easy to talk to. Definitely a place to go to for a couple hours.
My boyfriend and I come here every time we are in town! It's one of the best places to spend time and it's so much fun. For 12$ it's such a steal to go there and spend 4+ hours playing all the games. Such a cool experience and we'll continue to come back. We recommend hamburger time and the twilight zone pin ball anyone reads this !!!!
Great time! Pay one price for unlimited games. Video and pinball.
Great retro arcade and awesome selection of games. Something for the whole family. Unlimited play passes have been nice giveaways for our fans and clients. Good value for the $.
Hands down the best place for pinball, Greg will fix the machines immediately if you have any issues They also have a jukebox if you want to queue up some songs They have drinks, friendly staff and an environment appropriate for all ages Why are you still reading? Go play!
This place is awesome! I enjoy the single entrance fee much more than the traditional pay-per-play model, and at just $12 it's more than worth the couple hours of pinball and arcade games. Would definitely recommend to bring ear plugs if you're sensitive to loud noises though!
So glad that we have such an amazing arcade right here in Rochester that has tons of museum quality arcade machines! I love that you can play any game you want for a small admission fee. There are so many pinball machines to try out and enjoy!
Great place to spend time indoors as a family. My kid loves the games and us adults aren't bored! You can't beat the price, and not having a time limit is fantastic
$12 per person for "free play" (unlimited play on games) for the day. I went twice. It's better if you go with someone, so you can sit at the table, called cocktail, games and play two player alternating. There's restaurants nearby if you have to take a break to eat and don't want the snack food they have there. Also now you have to pay to stay there with your friends even if you don't play. I really enjoy playing the old arcade games on real machines, like Pac-Man, Galaga, Donkey Kong, even Space Inva
Amazing place! All sorts of Arcade cabinets and pinball machines, Skeeball and bowling games! Very reasonable entry cost, all games are set to freeplay and can enjoy to your hearts content. Snacks and concessions available, and place is incredibly well kept. Owner genuinely cares and is 100% a labor of love. Very welcome refreshment from other's I've visited across the US. 100% will be back. 10/10 reccomend for all ages.
We just has my son's 7th birthday party here and both kids and adults had an amazing time! The games are set to free play, which makes it so easy to try everything and spend some time playing different games. My 7 year old now loves pinball and we are looking forward to going back again and playing more!
I walked into this establishment and the atmosphere and sites and sounds immediately teleported me back into the 80?s. One cover charge will allow you to play all of the arcade cabinets, pinball machines, and bowling games until your thumbs get sore. Don't miss the skee ball machine that's twice as old as me! I had a great time here, the owner was very friendly and made us feel welcome. I'm very excited to see how this place evolves over time and I will be back. Highly recommended!
This place is super underrated! It looks a little underwhelming from the outside, but I assure you, this place is awesome! It's very nicely furnished, the price is cheap, and it has a ton of old games that are really fun. I played for about 4 hours before I had to leave, but I would?ve stayed longer. 10/10, couldn't recommend more.
I took my 11 year old here to help celebrate his "birthday weekend". Never thought we would stay a little over 4 hours. All the video games are from the 80's. The skeeball and shuffle bowling along with the pinball games just put this place over the top. He even has drinks and snacks for $1.00. We will definitely come again. Oh, and there is a public restroom for customers.
Fun place to get away from life for awhile, very well kept and some amazing games in the lineup.
We had never been there before but we'll definitely go again. The machines were in great shape and they were so fun. The two employees were very friendly and helpful. It was a great value for the price.
I've introduced my kids to the classic arcade games at home, but nothing beats the real deal. Awesome pinball tables, great games, and friendly staff. We'll definitely be back again!
This place is awesome. We had a ton of fun at a party we had. They are very helpful, do anything to help. They played the music specifically that we wanted, I highly recommend. The prices are great too it's an affordable family outing.
Great place to go and play vintage arcade games! Pay at the concessions area per person for game play. They have a small selection of snacks and drinks. There are multiple rooms and are expanding. There is space for about 40 people, so you can have parties and meeting here as well.
A thoughtfully curated collection of 80s arcade games and pinballs from several decades. All are in excellent working condition thanks to Greg, who is always tinkering, cleaning, fixing, and upgrading. It is never-ending work and it makes a difference. Broken flipper, stuck button, wonky joystick? Common on most 40+ year old machines out in the wild; at Flower City it's rare and fixed immediately.
This place is wonderful. We brought our hockey team as an end of year party. You can not beat the price! Greg is fantastic and wonderful to work with!
We held my husband?s 50th birthday here this past weekend. We had the best time. Highly recommend!!
Good variety of machines, including arcade, pinball, and bowling. You get an all-night pass instead of quarters or tokens, so play all you want. The building is a little rough looking from the outside, but it's quite nice and fun inside.
This was one of the coolest places I have been in Rochester!! The owner was very friendly and helpful. The games were fun to play, and the prices are unbeatable. Will definitely be returning!
Great time, definitely a great place to go with friends or family and watch them relive some of the timeless games they played growing up (and without a credit or time limit). Pinballs, shuffle alley, and darts are there too, so really a lot to do and spend time checking out. Excited to come again
Just like I remember! Great experience awesome video games.
I've been going here for a few months and it keeps getting better, the owner is still expanding and has gotten several new games in recently. Not many places in Rochester to have a night of fun for $10, stop in try to set a high score and get your name on the board
The best use of 10 dollars in any retro arcade. The arcade machines are top notch. The arcade feeling makes you think you are in Stranger Things. I can't wait for them to expand their snack center.
Amazing place! Just went there today with some friends and, I tell you.. We were BLOWN AWAY. We are very into the 80s/90s aesthetic and I highly recomend this to anybody who likes retro arcade games. (Pac-Man, Galaca, etc.)
A fantastic vintage experience with games ranging from pinball to skeeball to strikemaster! Owner was super friendly and the snacks were great and cheap. Highly recommend for a super night out!
Was very disappointed that even just bringing kids to enjoy you yourself had to pay 12.00 dallors even to watch your kids have fun and you aren't playing what a rip off last time I will go plus they don't tell you till you go pay to walk in you have to pay 12.00 and the garage that had games in wasn't even open so they raise the price from $10.00 to $12.00 and can't have full access to all games on top of paying just to watch nope not agian
It's small but cozy, there's some pinball machines, very old school games like mortal kombat, pacman, atari n others, place is clean with a well maintained bathroom, is 10 dollars x person and you can play all you want, is kid friendly as long your kids are into old games arcade type, there's steps available for kids, friendly staff
Awesome old school arcade in western NY. I loved it and my kids had a blast. They got to have a taste of my childhood. So thankful that Greg put his energy into opening up this place.
My fianc? and I love this arcade. The selection of games in amazing and the owner Greg is very welcoming and does an amazing job running the arcade. Can't wait to go back!!
Great place to bring your kids lots of older arcade style games from back in the day. Owner was great as well as the service and snacks highly recommended A++++
One of a kind! Great atmosphere, and super friendly owner. It's like taking a time machine.
Awesome place, chill owner, still in the beginning phases of business but it has a lot of potential. Games are cheap, full pass for only $8-10
If you're into vintage 80?s arcade games, you must stop by this place! Great selection! Friendly owner and friendly atmosphere!
Had an amazing time, lots of fun and well time spent. It really is the coolest place in Penfield.
Great atmosphere! Throwback games! Great place for older kids! Great price!
This place is soooo awesome! The price is perfect and the place is clean. Looks a little sus on the outside but don't let it fool you.
Greg is a knowledgeable and helpful Host! Our group had a fantastic time and will definitely be back!
We had so much fun! And the owner was very nice!
Great atmosphere and a fun place to hang out.
No games were out of service. Prices are great. This is a must if you are in the area.
Great selection of games with a knowledgable dedicated owner. Loved the place.
This place is great! They have arcades and stuff.
Good price, lots of classic games, will go there again soon.
Great place had a lot of fun. Some really cool old machines.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
