I've been coming to this campground for over a year and love it, but the arcade experience was terrible. After a great dinner at the pier, we went to the arcade, spent $20 on an arcade card, and started playing. At 7:55, a lady rudely told us they were closing. I asked if I could use the rest of my balance. Then, at exactly 8:00, while I was in the middle of a game, she locked the door and kicked us out?.very RUDELY It's ridiculous?online it says they close at 9, not 8. They couldn't give us 5 extra minutes
Wasn't a bad little spot. Killed some time with the kids in the arcade and got a new destination magnet for the fridge. By the way - what's up with the fire exit? I'm not from South Carolina, but I'd be willing to bet this is against fire code.
Worst setup for an arcade. You have to buy a card to use to purchase credits. Even worse kiosks are the only way to make said purchase. During purchase on screen prompts state 3 credits will be deducted for any new card purchase, reasonable but doesn't make much sense for me to be charged for a card to play games when I am already bringing your company business. So I decided to purchase the $15/149 point card, which minus 3 points for a new card would total 146 points correct? You would be wrong as the card
Been coming here ever since I was a little kid one of my favorite piers to fish on with some of the best luck in town. Highly recommended
Its a nice little shop and arcade, good for young children
We love this place so much. Our family has been coming here for the last few years and we enjoy it every time.
Quaint little shop..... Arcade is a little small, but the pier is cool
It was nice to have an arcade at the campground to keep the kids entertained when it was cold outside.
Fair prices for necessities, flip flops, etc. i didn't try the arcade portion.
Just wondering is it really 12 at noon? Pretty sure it should be AM.
Fun arcade with all the favorites. Great to take a pause from your beach walk, grab a cocktail from the bar next door and play a few games.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
