Customer Reviews

Amp Up is a nice place for indoor fun. The go-karts are definitely a highlight, though the ride time is pretty short at just 10 minutes, which feels a bit expensive for what you get. That said, I have to give a shoutout to the young staff?they're all friendly, helpful, and polite, which really adds to the overall experience.

The staff at Amp Up are amazing and friendly. They hosted our work party, and did an excellent job! Both the lucys were very helpful and courteous, and the go-karting was super fun. Top tier spot!

May 3, 2025 There were 14 in total of our party. 6 adults and 8 kids ranging in age from 8 to 15. Everyone had a great time! They all LOVED the go carts!! They did laser tag. Some did the ropes course and they all enjoyed the arcade. We enjoyed pizza and drinks. The staff was amazing!! Everyone was so nice. Thanks to everyone for helping us celebrate 3 birthdays!!!

Our end of the school year trip was here. Great staff. was patient and helpful. Lazor tag auditorium was well planned out. Good low and high spots for strategic game play. Go carts were really fast and fun to drive. Arcade had a good variety of games. Not sure about their food, we didn't have lunch there. Overall, it was a fun place for fifth graders to high schoolers.

The remarkable ambiance of this establishment evokes a sense of home for me. I appreciate the absence of simple wooden chairs, replaced instead by comfortable sofas. The prompt service exceeded my expectations, and the axe throwing experience reached an exceptional level. I would suggest reconsidering the age restrictions for axe throwing, extending them to individuals aged 17 and above.

We had such a blast at Amp Up Action Park for our corporate team-building event! The package we selected was packed with fun, featuring go-karting (my absolute fav), axe throwing, laser tag, delicious pizza, a $10 arcade card, and drink tickets. Everything went smoothly when scheduling the event, and everyone had a fantastic time. The staff was super friendly and ensured we were well taken care of. I recommend checking out Amp Up Action Park for your next event!

We love AMP UP! We arrived with a group of 40, and there had been some miscommunication on our end about our reservation being on a different day. They accommodated us that same day, and the kids had a blast!! We will be coming again next year! Thank you for an amazing time.

It was my 1st time at Amp Up. I actually never heard about it around St Louis. It's definitely a unrecognized fun park that's should get more publicity. At the age of 52 years old. I had an amazing time. I am a kid at heart and really enjoy adrenaline activities. The prices are real responsible and the young staff are very helpful, sweet and understanding. You can definitely spend at least 2 hours there doing different activities like go-cart driving, axe throwing, VR, laser tag, rope climbing course and ar

Purchased two-hour golf passes for a group of youth from my church. They had a great time. The space is suited for kids and adults of all ages. Dynamic arcade games, go karting, axe throwing, laser tag, and a rope line that hangs over the arcade arena. I was surprised to see that it's just one big open facility. You can see one end of the space from the other. And also how easy it was to check in and get started. Staff are helpful and attentive. They offer complimentary water and training before any ?risky?

It was a fun date night! We did the platinum package! Go-karts were fun, the drinks were good, and the axe throwing was definitely something new ?? definitely enjoyed it! Didn't have enough time to do laser tag, but the sky ropes were intense!

Laser tag is great. Arcade is limited but games are fun. The Mario Kart game was a plus. The arcade games are mostly $1 or $1.25. The ones that's are $1.25, that extra $.25 adds up quickly and will limit how many games if you set a budget for your kids. I don't think they are worth the extra $.25 and if all the games were $1 or less I think I would probably spend a little more. I recommend them drop the price or provide a package that you can buy plays at a flat rate in bulk. As for the karting, I ended up

Ax throwing was great employees were super nice and helpful. Only complaint would be the karts. Last time we came a few years ago they were faster. This time it seemed they were a lot slower. Lap time was around 10 secs slower than previous visit. Would not have spent the money knowing they weren't as fast and not as much fun as previous visit.

Attended with a group of coworkers after an offsite. *Great* fun; a wonderful team-building night out. Ours was a diverse (ages, ethnicities, languages, genders) group and we all had a great time.

We had an absolute blast. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The packages are a bit pricey but it's more than worth the adventure. Go kart racing, obstacle course in the sky, VR, ax throwing and multi-level laser tag arena. Ax throwing is for 14+ and they did need to do a little work on the VR headsets. The staff was even understanding and took photos for us as I was trying to make what memories I still can with a teenager. Definitely a great place to take the older ones. They also offer gift cardd.

For what it is, Amp Up Action Park does it really well. I recently visited Amp Up Action Park for the first time to celebrate my nephew's 7th birthday along with a small group of family and friends. I usually find these types of venues to be overly crowded and very messy, so I was impressed with how clean and organized Amp Up is. As you walk in, you'll see the check-in counter, a waiver/form self-service station, an arcade, VR station, as well as an elevated ropes course. Deeper inside the facility you'll

Great Place to hang out with the kids and the whole family?? Great for parties or corporate gatherings! There's something for everyone there! There's a Bar ?? and snack bar?? Race track with go carts ?? Lazer tag ?? axe throwing?? corn hole area??and pickle ball court ?? video games ?? rope course ????? Jenga table, loungers and plenty of tables for everyone! Be sure to stop by whenever in the Manchester MO area!

Amp Up was so supportive of our Battle of the Books program and gave us a generous donation to raffle off. The kids were excited and they were fantastic to work with. I love all the community support they provide!

Amp was alright it could have more things to do. The best parts is race cars and laser tag. The other games was alright. I just think it's more for small kids and they don't have a lot of good items to choose from. The food wasn't good at awe. It's expensive and the chicken strips wasn't made from real chicken breast it was more like process chicken nuggets. To pay 20 for three items wasn't worth it.

Great time. Overpriced but still fun. I orginally had two lanes reserved for my group and then about 5minutes in the told us all 5 of us had to share a lane. Kind of think the guy that was instructing us had a little bit to drink because he wasn't making sense. He said it was policy that all 5 of us had to share. I told him I was reserved in 3 and other half was to be next to us in 4. So we all shared 1 lane while both of the lanes on either side remained empty. 5 of us at $22 is $110 in one lane aiming at

A very unique experience for kids and adults! The overhead obstacle course is not like anything else in town. This is above and beyond the attraction my kids spend the most time on. The VR is really cool and fun to watch as a spectator. They also serve food, drinks and adult beverages. I only gave 4 stars because it can get a bit pricey. All in all, a great place!

Enjoyed the go karts, the VR game hunting zombies and the arcade area. The axe throwing looked interesting but the axe thrower doesn't have a shield in their non throwing hand to protect themselves from recoils because they happen. I like how we were given a hood to put on over our heads before putting on the helmets for the go karts. This is an excellent way to keep the helmets clean.

We were in town to visit family. This was a great place to meet and have fun hanging out! Back in town for a celebration. Amp up was again a blast!

Amazing experience it was. We went in group of 6 people so it was very interesting. We had laser tac game show that was my favorite part pf the game. Kart race was not so good because they reduced the speed of our kart. I liked the VR game experience. It was too good. Must try

Amp Up Action park was perfect for my son's 8th birthday party! Firstly, I HAVE to mention the Michaela, who works with scheduling and party bookings. She was patient, professional, kind, and gave me great advice while planning my son's party!!! She made the whole experience go very smoothly. A few guests were not able to attend my son's party, and she and the manager even made sure that I got a refund! Then the party was fun! We had the mezzanine area which overlooks the track. We had 7 friends with him

Fun but the line to pay makes me regret coming almost every. single. time. Everyone has fun on the carts, laser tag, and arcade games. I was just told that we can purchase tickets in advance and that will be a game changer. Staff is mostly friendly and generally helpful. Food is okay and they do have a great drink selection. Once we try that, I'll adjust my review.

EDIT: after speaking with the manager they were very apologetic and fixed the problem before we even left the building, very happy with how it was fixed and I'll definitely be bringing my boys back. Was really excited to try this place out, the axe throwing and Lazer tag were great but our main draw was the gokarts which ended up being super frustrating. We arrived around 2:30 got told our race time was 4:00, the cashier wrote 4:10 on the recipe so we got in line at 3:50 no biggie right? Wrong, after waiti

Perfect for older teens and adults. Celebrated my son's graduation. Masks are required and hand sanitizer is plentiful. Was a little disappointed that the skee ball wasn't working right but the arcade was still fun. ProKarting was awesome, 4 kids 16 -19 loved it and the lazer tag. Ropes course was more of a challenge they they thought but thoroughly enjoyed it. Next time we will do axe throwing as we didn't have enough time this weekend.

My work threw a company picnic here and it was a blast! Lost a of fun activities to do with the whole family!! Can't wait to go again!

What a fun place for families and friends! There's something here for everyone. And Amp-Up is also a generous donor to small charities like mine (Brooks & Family Equine Retirement). We love you, Amp-Up!

I can't thank the staff of Amp Up enough for helping us to have a great evening celebrating my sons 12th birthday! Despite it being a busy evening, each staff member we encountered was helpful and friendly. In particular I'd love to thank Ethan and Maddie at racetrack for going the extra mile! My 8yr old was nervous to ride the go karts for her first time by herself. They were patient, encouraged her, pumped her up, and even took the time out of their night to be sure she could run the race track by herself

We went for the first time tonight wanted to end the year great. This facility did not dissapoint. We came for the go karts but saw all the other great attractions and we will be back to do them. Staff greeted us was very knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you all for great service and a great facility.

Fun for the whole family with many of games and awesome things to do. Axe throwing, Lazer tag, ropes course, arcade games and more.

Good time. Workers were friendly and helpful. We were they later than most and one even joined in on lazer tag with me and my 2 daughters to make it more enjoyable. The ropes course is unlike any other I've gone on. Arcade games are a little expensive compared to other places but they have reasonable packages to enjoy a few hours of activities.

Pretty good. Threw axes. Had fun. Not where I'd host a happy hour, etc until there was more of a place to sit down.

My family and I came here for a fun day out, and when we got there we had to spend nearly 15 minutes waiting to get our wristbands, after we had already waited nearly fifteen minutes just to get to the front of the line. On their Go Kart course, my group barely had 2? minutes on the track, and half of it was on the warning speed. We later saw several other groups being on the track for 5-10 minutes without being reduced to the warning speed once. Honestly, would not reccomend coming here.

This is a great party place for kids and adults. From birthday parties to team building, you will have a great time here. Great activities for all ages! Highly recommend!

Really a place for kids, but the Facebook ad made it seem like a place for both. But 1) customer service was ????. Not sure what's up with this new generation but Lord!???????. 2) the go kart track wasn't large as advertised and the speed is regulated!! 3) for just 2 breadsticks and 1 hot dog, took 20+ minutes. 4) the games are comparable to ? of Dave and Busters. Alot of hoops. 5) axe throwing was nice!

What a fun night out with friends from work! There were 8 of us ranging from age 28 to 50. This was much more fun than just going out to dinner. We started out on the race track. The cars start out slow but only for the first couple of seconds. The track is unique, much better than a regular oval. Our group then split in half to compete against each other in laser tag. The laser tag area is large and includes an upper & lower level. We all loved it. Then we ate pizza & salad while ax throwing. We

Place is way over hyped for what it has. $20 for 1 go kart ride that lasts 5 min if you are lucky. We got stuck with a lady from another group that couldnt drive and it kept us in caution speed for over half our time. To make it even worse, we barely got 3 min for the session. Guessing the workers got tired of her crap and ruined everyone's experience. Games are HIGHLY overpriced. Nothing below a $1.00 play, even for the kiddy games. Id say the best thing there was the the laser tag and it was even sub-par

First time tonight. We will be back. Stations and carts/gear should be sanitized after each use. the axes felt so grimey my hands felt disgusting after but overall fun.

I thought this was a pretty great establishment. We had a birthday party for our son here, and the host was great! They have liquor, so that's a plus for me. The food is a little expensive, though, but the overall experience was great.

This place is great! We had lots of fun playing Lazer tag and racing go carts.

Great place. Fast karts, games, laser tag, and a crazy rope course above the video games. Hidden gem tucked away from Manchester. Update (7.13.18): They have since added Giant Hampster Balls, Bocce Ball, Bags, and a multi-player HTC Vive VR gaming area! Even if you are not a go kart fan, there is plenty to keep you entertained.

Go karts, ropes and axe throwing were awesome, so was the new outside space! Amp Up had a nice staff and was clean...not to mention hand sanitizer stations were throughout and the Crew was constantly cleaning.

A lot of fun! We enjoyed so much there! We chose to do laser tag and go karts and we enjoyed a lot even though it went so fast! We wish it could be longer. The laser tag price is reasonable but the go kart was OVER PRICED. Other than that it was fun and the staff was friendly.

Had a good time. Axe throwing while we waited for go carts. Go carts we're electric but faster then many gas carts we have road. Nice restrooms and snacks. There was also Lazer tag and arcade games. Sign up in the middle of the room at the I pad before you go to the counter it will speed the process up. Also get your racing times at the end in a email so you can compare with friends.

This place was a nice way to spend a few hours (1-2, but likely more if we did more of the activities). A lot of variety all in one place- axe throwing, go karts, laser tag. I could definitely see this being a 3-4 hour day with kids. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially in axe throwing area. The guy there gave us tutorials and helped the entire time. He was very pleasant to talk too!

I was so excited to bring a few people to try the go karts. I've been on them before and they were great. However for whatever reason the operator turned them down half speed before I even got halfway through the first lap. I was asking him if that was as fast as they go and he said yes. What a waste of money. I could've paid half the price to go to swing around fun town. I went here for the fun experience and did not get that. I have since been made aware since my child was 13 that it's half the speed. Wou

It's amazing how much fun they can fit into this one facility. The staff was very friendly and helpful, facilities were clean and well kept, prices were reasonable. We went on a weekday so it wasn't crowded which meant our party could race by ourselves. I like that they have a junior race but also have double car for the intermediate race to accommodate families with kids. Parking was plentiful. Nice air conditioning on a hot day Will definitely be back

We called about bringing our big group and make a reservation, only to be told to just come in. So, our group drove 30 mins to find out they now had a 3 hour wait. The young manager/employee basically dismissed our situation and could not tell us who we talked to. Find another place for entertainment!!!

We had a really great time. So much to do. The food was great, and the facility was very clean. All of the employees were extremely helpful and made it a great experience.

Check this place out and get the Platinum Pack! Worth the money! We had a great time racing, doing laser tag, the ropes course and throwing axes!!!

My son had a great time here. He was excited to go somewhere new and wasnt let down.

Amp Up Action Park has been such a pleasure to work with! Always quick to respond, kind, and open to providing feedback that helps us better serve our client base. We look forward to continuing to partner with you in providing fun and memorable experiences!

The owner of this establishment has top-notch customer service. There was a snafu with my original reservation, and the owner came right in with a great resolution to make sure that my son could still have the birthday party. He's been so excited about. These It is so hard to find people with great customer service and I am just so happy that this company has those values. We are looking forward to celebrating my son?s birthday at this this wonderful establishment.

I really enjoyed this place! We did Axe throwing but I wanna go back for go karts and ropes course with my kids. What surprised me most was how wonderful the staff was. Sam was super helpful at Axe throwing. He was there if we wanted help and tips but also gave us space to just enjoy playing. Joe at the bar was fantastic. A nice place for a fun adventure.

We had the best time at Amp Up Action Park! We had gotten rained out of Six Flags and were looking for something else fun to do for the rest of the day. We were fortunate to end up at Amp Up. Our group consisted of adults and teenagers. The go karts were tons of fun, the laser tag was a riot, and we enjoyed the arcade as well. Probably the best part of the experience was Lucy! Without her guidance and patience, we probably wouldn't have fully appreciated the experience. We were grateful that she expl

I had so much fun. Arcade games, VR games and go karts were my favourite. The staff is too friendly. Can't wait to go back

Overpriced. Rude workers. Poor game selection, and missing basketballs. They will slow go karts to a crawl and ruin your experience if someone else on the track has an issue and not add additional time on to yours for the wasted track time.

Rocked my kids 10 year old Bday party! Highly recommend, aptly able to entertain 20 kids for a few hours.

We brought a youth group from Ohio on our way to a youth conference. We had 30 kids and we had a great time. Staff was friendly and the place was clean and neat. A few of the lazer tag guns wouldn't work but other than that nice facility.

Thank you to Amp Up, we had a great item for our fund raiser for PALS Pets! We appreciate their genrosity!

I've been to other places similar to AMP UP but none of them could compare to the hospitality that I received at Amp Up. I can't wait to go back with the rest of my family so that we all can have a great time!

Went in middle of week and wasn't packed. It was great! My son had a blast. Husband I will go back on date night for ax throwing. They have it all set up with go cart, games, laser tag and ropes.

This place wasn't as what I expected. Most of the staff I have interacted with either had a terrible attitude or Could not care less. However, The laser Tag staff member, front counter, Axe throwing, Go kart staff were incredibly nice. They were very attentive and has such a positive attitude, made me enjoy my time. However the rest of the staff were disappointing. I had an incident where my friend was having a panic attack on the air course and the staff looked like they were not properly trained to assist

We had 6,10-11 year boys for a birthday party here and it was over 3 hours and included the rope course and Lazer tag unlimited, $10 card to arcade for each kid, pizza and drinks, and one round on the go karts. What makes this 5 stars is the fact that the staff took care of everyone and everything including rounding up the boys for the activities. A special shout out to Aiden who was our host and did phenomenal with all of these boys, their questions, requests, and comments. This was worth it by having su

My kids love visiting Amp Up. Recently Amp Up stayed open after hours to accommodate our church youth group for their annual lock-in. They all had a blast. Thank you Amp Up

Awesome venue!! We hosted our 2nd event at Amp Up. The staff made it super easy and the food exceeded our expectation. The team LOVED all the new attractions (axe throwing, Virtual Reality, Bocce Ball and the Hamster Balls). Another popular feature was the Final Kart race at the end where they selected the fastest times throughout the night and the laser tag battles between our different teams. Thanks again, Amp Up. We will be back soon.

Their Go karts are the best. We had so much fun.

I've been to this place twice now. The first time was for a party and I had an excellent time throwing axes and doing go karts with my group. Staff were kind and respectful. Today, I took my 5 y/o son with me to play games and ride go karts. The staff were rude and overly pedantic in enforcing the rules (I was told "Stand here, not there", and that I must grab a headsock BEFORE touching the helmets, despite knowing my helmet size. I spoke with staff about this interaction after the kart ride, and they info

Had a great time. Good time for an afternoon with my son. Go carts were a blast and fast enough to really get the adrenaline going. The rope course ran the gamut of easy to impossible yet still fun. Overall great time.

The owner of this establishment is dishonest and has no problem firing people for reporting harassment. He also ignores many safety protocols and tells employees injured on the job to walk it off.

Great place, lots of fun, very helpful and patient staff. We took our whole family (from kids ages 8 and 12 up through grandparents in their 80s), and everyone had a fun time. There are some limits to what kids under 14 can do, which was a bummer, but they still had a lot of fun and want to go back. While not the place for little kids, definitely recommend for families with older kids or for groups of friends from teens to adults!

Loved throwing axes. The go-karts were so much fun to race. The ropes look like a lot of daring fun.

Something for all ages and very friendly staff

Went here with a group from work and had a great time. We were worried it might be aimed towards kids but it really is good for everyone. Go karts, laser tag, ropes, and axe throwing. All were a blast and drinking through all of it made it even better.

As a retired rv traveling couple, we had a blast. Monday upon opening seemed to be the perfect time. No waiting. Business picks up around 5pm. Don't underestimate the thrill of the LazerTag. I haven't laughed that hard in years.

Clean and family friendly. Professional and pleasant staff. Good value. Will go again.

Rather pricey considering the workability of this sites equipment.. Staff members were all super nice and had friendly demeanors.

It was our family?s first time visiting? We came to celebrate my (young) son?s birthday, but we did not book an ?official? birthday package. The staff was very friendly and accommodating- which is rare these days. Special shout out to the young lady that worked the main desk, the young man that worked the go karts, and the young man that worked the laser tag! I hate that we didn't catch their names. Minus one star only because it can get pricey for a family of four (particularly the go karts) and the existin

We had such a great time learning how to be expert axe throwers thanks to our awesome axepert Ben! ???? He made sure that we all felt confident with great tips and tricks and helped us all have an amazing hour of fun. Marketing Team bonding for the win!!!

Nice place. Always clean Great food, cold beer, does it get any better than that?

My family had an amazing experience at Amp Up Action Park. We were visiting from out of state and I was very impressed with the tremendous staff that was so friendly, knowledgeable, and ensured my son had a great experience. The variety of activities they have is impressive and their pricing packages were reasonable. We would definitely go back if we visit again. I'll give another shout out to the amazing staff, I don't think I have ever seen a staff at a kids activity center be so attentive and friendl

My family had a great time and plan to make this an annual event when in town

AMP UP was the best place to host our son's birthday party. So many fun activities to choose from - Axe throwing, laser tag, ropes course, arcade and the AMAZING Go-Karts! The facility was clean and their staff is impressive. In addition, I loved supporting a local STL business.

We had a wonderful time. The older kids loved the 2 hr pass with the go-karts, laser tag, virtual reality game, and the adventure climbing while the younger ones played the games. This is the cleanest place I've been to with kids, and really kind staff. I also like the sitting areas and the big connect four game that kids can play with, and adults and can sit and chat. I would definitely recommend bringing your family here. Thanks for providing a great place for us to create memories.

First time here and we loved it!! Sooo many different attractions for all ages, adults and kids. Food is great, fresh and pretty good variety to choose from. Buffalo chicken pizza was 10/10. Staff was friendly, polite and make you feel welcome, especially workers at the bar and the food court. Great place to hang out and have fun with the family and friends, we will be back!

We went here mainly for our son to race on the go karts during a trip to Saint Louis but our daughter decided to try it with him, which was amazing. Let me start by saying that the staff was kind and helpful. Three strong stars for that. My only issue is that the go kart racing is advertised as a 10 min slot so you think that you're paying for (at least almost) 10 min to race but that is not the case. We let them race 4 times and each one of our races was stopped after 5-7 min. When I mentioned it to the st

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
