I had the best time at the Woodlawn AMF Bowling Alley! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. The lanes were well-maintained, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the overall experience was smooth from start to finish. Whether you're a casual bowler or a seasoned pro, this place has something for everyone. If you're looking for a fun and relaxed outing, AMF Bowling Alley is the perfect spot. I'll definitely be coming back 2 back 2 back ... I joined the league!
The manager is the greatest, big teddy bear. Was warm, professional, accommodating to my family, so personable he recognized other family members, who weren't familiar with the process making them feel comfortable.GREAT JOB AMF.WILL DEF REPEAT.
Where do i begin? I arrived at 7 pm. I placed an order for nachos. At 7:50 i went to check for an update, only to be told it's going to take a minute. I asked for a strawberry lemonade to be added to it and chicken tenders and fries. I received my tenders and fries at 8:32. Still no nachos. I asked if i could get my barbecue sauce i ordered with my tenders. I was told ok. I seen the girl behind the counter was working alone so i tried to be understanding and patient. I asked the manager if he could help he
Told by Management, light balls(8lbs & under) will get stuck. Slows up the game or you will have to use different balls to bowl. Not good!
I don't even know where to begin, but Corporate really needs to pay immediate attention to this house!! Who authorizes and makes the executive decisions here?? Not sure who signed off on the bright idea to tear up the floors right before a full house of bowlers arrived, but it was awful!! Not only were the floors raggedy & dusty, no one even appeared to try to clean anything up!! ??It was extremely dusty and dirty and we had to attempt to clean our own areas before bowling. As a result of this horrible
This place is literally a rip off. 50$ for one game is insane !!!! 45$ for a appetizer sampler (that was god awful) and two Pepsi?s I definitely learned my lesson never coming back here again
Had a Groupon; bowling was great, hadn't been in a good while, everything was great. Can't wait to go again.
Great time, it would have been 5 ? but we could only get 1 lane.
I took my son and it was Cool and laid back. Probably going every week..
Great place to bowl and spend time with friends and relatives.
So at this point I give up on AMF and Bowlero, the staff is rude and disrespectful if I could give 0 stars I would.
Was a lot of fun the people were cool.but the food was a lil to be desired the soft pretzel was hard the nacho cheese was like water and the fries was a lil cold but the tenders were ok and it was a bit expensive almost 65$ for 3 games each for 2 people including shoes but all in all I had a extremely enjoyable time because it was just me and my daughter celebrating my 40th birthday and thats a great day...
manager was unprofessional a little on the unclean side the food was kool
Don't bother trying to order something from the snack bar. Sometimes you'll wait over an hour for a pizza. The lanes are trash.
Very kid friendly and also provided adult beverages. My kids had an amazing time. And the food was pretty good
I like how it look in the shoes is so funny in they is so nice to us
Four lanes were broken and/or "down." Didn't even get to bowl due to tournaments or bowling league playing.
This bowling alley is one of the oldest bowling alleys on this side of Baltimore County, which would usually make it one of the worst but the management here does a very good job of making sure they hire quality people. The people at the service desk were very knowledgeable and very helpful. The customer service was the best part of the experience next to me winning my game with a really not so good start.
I just finished looking at the pictures from my sons party back in August and remembered how amazing the service was. T.J assisted us with the party and the service was absolutely amazing. I won't go to any other bowling alley now. We were so pleased. I hope he's still there I haven't seen him the last few times we been. He adds amazing value to that store for sure. Thanks for making my sons day special.
Nely had great customer service, deserves a raise
My family and I were looking for something fun to do today. We decided to go to AMF Woodlawn Bowling Alley. Let's start off by saying everything was great. The manager on duty was very helpful and nice. The staff was nice also. We had lots of fun and will visit again.
Great fun for the kiddos. Very expensive. Subpar staffing.
Went for unlimited bowling, I was moved to 3 different lanes because of machine difficulty. Staff came over multiple times to fix pins and the bowling balls that get stuck, the scoreboard was flickering. We ordered wings & fries while I waited for someone to come over, while the wings were barely covered with sauce, fries were overcooked. Wouldn't recommend.
It was fun. It was better than the first time I went to this location. The staff was boring and not attentive. The drinks I ordered the first time when I went was horrible. The whole experience this time was awesome. Me and my friend enjoyed ourselves. The kitchen staff was nice and sweet. The bartender girl ( I forgot her name) was AWESOME , funny and sweet . She made me feel welcomed and made we want to come back. The food was hot and tasty! ????. The drinks she made was ??. I loved it. I'm definitely goi
My girls had a blast, just a family friendly atmosphere. Kitchen was a little backed up and some items were not available. However staff was very apologetic and catering. Management on this day was top notch. I encountered all nice staff! Not bad for a busy Saturday afternoon
I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I came yesterday for the Summer Tour and experienced the worst customer service of my life. The girl in the back Sheeka was horrible. She was disrespectful and disgusting. The nice manager lady came over and made me feel heard. Sad to say she was so nice and the front desk was also. That girl will make them lose customers , I come often and her attitude never changes
The women's bathroom needs to be thoroughly cleaned more often. The air conditioner is broken. It can be a very nice place to bowl and have fun, if the powers that be would keep the maintenance up.
Staff are always friendly even when they're super busy. Clean and nice environment for families or just to hang out and bowl. Always a lot of leagues too if you're into that. Manager checked in twice just to see how we were doing, it's a great alley! Can't wait to go back
As a league bowler, I'm not mad. I'm disappointed. Cooperate really let this place go. It's sad because Jonny Unitas used to own this house along with Towson and Dundalk when it was called Colt Lanes. Lanes break down constantly. Not enough maintenance workers to fix the lanes, roof leaks over the lanes. Inconsistent with oil patterns. It's okay if you don't bowl often, but they really let this place go?.. Sad.
unprofessional staff. Unorganized. The cashier was cool. He was the only one that knew what he was doing. I could say so much more worse stuff. The games don't work. We couldn't order food because the cashier was late and the manager was being lazy. We couldn't even get anything to drink SMH. This place has gone down. Worse amf. I will continue to go to Pikesville location.
Had a great time with my family celebrating my grandmother. R.I.P LOVE U
I think Chris is the manager here. He is an awesome guy and so is his staff. Level of service and professionalism I experienced when I had an issue was unmatched. Much love for the AMF crew!
Pretty terrible honestly. The staff was rude as hell, took forever to get served and to get drinks. The lanes were pretty bad too. We asked to move to the next lane over because our lane kept freezing but they refused. Maybe this was just a one time thing because I've been to plenty AMF bowling alleys around the city but this one was pretty bad. I'm willing to give it another shot but my experience was awful.
I had to say my experience here was awesome! The service was great. John the manager was so accommodating he made everything so good. He made sure we had what we needed. My grandkids and family so enjoyed the night!
I normally don't do this, but I promised a staff member I would. Tj was amazing, I scheduled my 3sons birthday party on a date I didn't know I made. He tried calling sales but no answer until I called and someone answered. Tj got my party together for me in under 20mins with my party of like 20 people with 3 lanes. I heard from everyone and they had a blast I would recommend only on Saturdays when Tj is working. He hooked me up and will do you the same, thanks Tj you the best
I came to the bowling alley last night with my husband. It was Tuesday, 2/21/2023. I had a horrible experience dealing with a staff member. The young lady in the kitchen who wears glasses had a bad attitude. It was obvious by my husband and me that she did not know how to speak to people with respect. I will longer attend this location due to her nasty attitude towards customer
9:30p.m. Was told that a league was bowling all night from 7p.m. until. A whole side was OPEN.
Not enough lanes available for a Saturday. We had 13 people on one lane. Six played a full game than another 6 played another game. Wasn't fun at all. I understand Saturday is league day but if I was there before other customers, I should be able to get as many lanes as I want to purchase. I shouldn't have to settle for one just because there are other customers behind me.
Liked the lanes.... not super busy, well oiled, friendly front desk staff. HOWEVER - food services were non existent. Whatever, I came here to bowl. But kids can't survive an hour without food. Waited 60+ min for a pizza that never came. Got a refund. Which is fine @ $19 a pizza i'd rather get one somewhere else anyway.
Bowled in tournaments at Woodlawn several times this year. I was lucky enough yesterday to meet the manager on duty as he worked the snack bar. This house has struggled with its fair share of issues, but appears they have also aligned to keep a tremendous asset with management. It was so nice to meet him as he catered to a packed house and limited staff. He was approachable, smiling and most of all more than willing to accommodate all of us on the summer tour! I hope you continue to do right by this gentlem
I came to the Woodlawn location and dealt with the worst customer service I've ever experienced. The lady with the heavy ascent is ALWAYS nasty . It is never a weekend that she has a positive spirit. The other hound lady with the glasses was also very unpleasant and act as if she hated her job. I don't know how many complaints it will take for them to get rid of that kitchen staff
The serve was terrible they took over 30 minutes to deliver the food them told us after we order and had been rung up when they brought part of our order that they had no cheese left to fix nachos or leaded fries. Shouldn't someone be checking this periodly so they'll know what they can and can't serve the people behind the counter didn't know what was going on had to remind then twice about my refund before I had to go to the counter and get it myself I came out to help celebrate a birthday of a friend
IT is so much fun their and you get to play other people to and you get to play your team meant everybody have lots of fun
This place was very clean and HUGE! They have 48 lanes. Ran very smooth and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Last night I was hanging out with friends bowling at AMF in Woodlawn. We were going to bowl a couple of games but a worker there named TJ pointed out the special for games,, pizza and drinks. The customer service he provided was exceptional. We accidentally spilled our drinks and he replaced it, and helped clean the area. TJ I just want to let you know that you are appreciated, and I hope your employer values your worth.
Excellent. We came a large family group and really enjoyed. Specifically we got great help from the manager John. I recommend! The only thing to improve is the cashier attitude.
This place was better than expected. They serve food and alcohol and pretty clean from what I saw. Crowd is down to earth. Pleasant experience
Great experience! The manager John Street is awesome and made sure our group was taken care of throughout the visit. Will definitely be back.
The service is TERRIBLE. If you order food, I hope you're not hungry because it'll be 2 hrs before you get it, if you get it at all. Ive experienced it on numerous occasions on Friday nights during League night. Also the management is no help. They do not have enough staff to cover the shifts. The lanes constantly have issues. I could go on but I think you get the point.
This alley host great groups of local bowlers who take the game seriously. In my experience the environment is great for the whole family. My visits have all been off peak hours so experiences may vary. This alley isn't the prettiest but good enough to enjoy the sport. Update: After a few trips I can confirm that this bowling alley is one of the best I've visited. If you need your bowling ball fitted efficiently and professionally Todd, who is pictured, is the best around. Todd is extremely knowledgeable
They did a wonderful job of hosting my daughter's birthday party. Food was great, hosting was great, we overall had a wonderful time. I would definitely recommend this business.
I had a very poor experience with this location recently when bringing in a Groupon. It seems they either really don't like when people come with a Groupon or someone was just having a really bad day. They tried giving me a few excuses as to why I can't/shouldn't use it. I just left.
We had a great time at the bowling alley
Had a good time bowling! It's been awhile since I've been bowling. Our lane 44, kept breaking down which disrupted our momentum but not our mood. I'd definitely go back and win again.
Had a great time today. The Lane were oiled but that's what I needed for league tomorrow. My lowest game was 159 with a 139 average. The place was clean as usual (including the bathroom). It was a different staff behind the register but she was pleasant, professional and she knew her job well. Customers were not lined up waiting. If I had more money, I would have bowled more games.?
I am glad I saw the post from Jewel Kristin. I was planning on having a party for my son there but now I am not. I will go somewhere else and I will make sure to let everyone I know that loves to bowl to go to a different establishment. I use to go to this bowling alley when I was in high school and never would have thought that they would have employees like the one(s) mentioned in her post working there. No one deserves to be talked about, made fun of or to be made to feel less than, when they are just t
LOVE this location, absolutely has the best atmosphere out of the few I been too. Drinks are good, food is good, music is great!
Really enjoyed a day of family fun. The staff were pleasant and helpful , bathrooms , facilities and grounds were clean and the food was okay for a bowling alley. We've already planned another visit ??
I had a bad experience with billing but received some great customer service from an employee named Erica, who usually works at the Normandy location but was at the Woodlawn location and was able to perfectly help me with my problem. If she's there you're not having any problems
The worst. I was harassed because my son does not like their food so instead I had to get him pizza. He had to eat it right away because he's diabetic. One of the employees was really nice about letting me know about bringing food in and let him know that I understood but my son will finish eat because he is diabetic. The general manager was extremely disrespectful ignoring everything that I had said even though the employee told him, he had already spoken to me. I have never met someone who has no respect
I try to avoid the bowling alley in the summer.Air conditioning not too good other than that.I enjoy myself bowling
Great Customer Service, place clean and we meet some friendly people while bowling. The estimated had sounds of laughter, cheering, and positive talking. We had a great experience. Thanks
A large and we'll maintained bowling center. 48 lanes greet you in a split concourse (24 lanes positioned on each side). Go around back for the best parking. There is extremely limited parking in front. But around back, there are two entrances and ample parking with a ramp to roll your gear into the center.
Loved it went with my daughter and had a ball ! The employees where super helpful and friendly Even though they were swamped and 1 employee went above and beyond the extra mile to ensure that we all were comfortable and enjoyed our time there . I believe her name was Akeela Gold Star ????
We had a blast!! A great Place for family and an adult night out for FUN!! We did a group package that included shoe rental, two hour lanes, food and drinks! What a deal! Actually we looked around at other venues and this spot was pocket friendly!!
Lanes breakdown too much... (I posted this statement about 2 weeks ago on woodlawns review page. I bowl this bowling alley every week. Lanes 8 and 10 break down 10-12 times a night and the staff gets mad at us for telling them. Poor lane maintenance and customer service)
June 12, 2020 to the young female cashier at the bowling alley was disgustingly rude. She's the one that has the head wrap on she was unnecessarily specific and rude and I couldn't even call it a courtesy it was just clean out right room this is approximately 7 PM and I couldn't believe how rude she was she was throwing the receipt down for me to sign it she was telling me I can't all the games that I was trying to pay for and I couldn't believe how nasty she was when I went over to the rest of my group the
They didn't play any music and to order a drink or food you will be standing in line for 15-20 minutes. Me and my wife brought our own drinks in and from that point we enjoyed ourselves.
I was there Saturday night for a birthday celebration. I enjoyed myself Nice clean facility but it looked like they were under staffed. Overall a good experience
A great night for the family. Food was excellent.
Bowled in a league for two years there. Inconsistent oil patterns as well as lanes constantly breaking down. Very frustrating experience! Not coming back to bowl there.
It wasn't too bad, the staff was pretty friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed, not crowded. I don't know if it's always that way but that's how it was when we were there on a Saturday around 2pm.
I had a wonderful time it was a pre wedding bowling trip and it was wonderful.
I absolutely LOVE $2 Tuesday Night bowling. Everything is $2; shoes and the games. I wish it wasn't just from 8pm to 10pm. But it's always full of different bowlers at various skill levels. I took my son for his birthday on a Tuesday night and all the children had a great time too. The atmosphere is friendly and some pros might give you tips to improve your game.
Absolutely wonderful center, Great staff, food, drinks and music. The center is has transformed since my last visit. I have nothing but positive comments.
Customer service was horrible and so is the food. It took 3 people to cook Pizza, fries, and tenders yet the food was still late and they couldn't multi task and service other customers. Poor training so I can't blame it all on them.
Nice facade and a great number of lanes. That's about it. I almost threw my knee out on my first attempt because I expected the bowling shoes to slide. They did not slide at all. So when I did my approach expecting to slide, and stopped abruptly instead, I almost went headfirst into the lane. That was not pleasant. I went to the counter and asked if they had something to help my shoes slide better, thinking I had a bad pair of shoes (even though they appeared to be brand new). The desk person said, "
This place used to have a nice crowd especially with leagues. However the crown has dwindled. Due to rate changes and the things that they offer on the menu as far as drinks for a group. They no longer offer soda by the picture full. The cups of soda are expensive. the public is just not pleased anymore.
Friendly staff and very clean, food is a little pricey but overall a great alley ??
We had a great but they really need to remodel. This places is ran down and dated. This location has been the same since I was in my twenties...
Hours listed online, on google and on the door are all wrong! Being a caregiver I only have limited time to go bowling. We planned to go with another family because the hours were listed as Wednesday 10:00 a.m.-10:00p.m. we arrived at 12:55 p.m. and they were closed. Not wasting my time again!
When I visited Baltimore to see my daughter my son and I went bowling with her and some friends. We went on a weekend and it was pretty packed, but we had lots of fun! Staff was great and friendly. The food was decent too!
Used a groupon to visit this place for a fun family outing. The bowling alley was clean, rental shoes were in good condition, well lit and plentiful selection of bowling balls. The food prices were reasonable and they served beer, wine and mixed drinks. We had a great time.
I hadn't been here in years & I went to celebrate a friends birthday. We had a good time. Try the wings (naked) they're spicy but my FAV!
Balls got stuck and did not come back. Lost more than half hour and even after reporting multiple times no action or attempt was made to fix the problem. Also the balls were of one size and were very small to hold
This place would get 5 stars, if you could go and bowl without any employee interaction. They don't care about the customers at all. They have a very "oh well" attitude. I'll never go back!
3. Letters one word FUN
Lanes are in good shape. Families and serious bowlers. Excellent service from lead person behind counter. She knew how to run fix everything. Food closed before we could eat.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
