We had a great time at this bowling alley. around $30 for 3 hours of unlimited late bowling on a saturday night. Lights go out and blacklights on at like 9:30 pm. Fun Experience, no lane issues, the bowling balls were a little worn but didn't stop the fun.
Great place to bowl, inside was done nicely, got beer towers and food. Everything was great. I hosted my son's birthday party here a while back and everything was great.
Nice bowling alley but manager assumed we were inebriated after enjoying a ?beer tower? ? which they talked us into buying in the first place. We left immediately and told them how insulting this was. Older gentleman manager was the cause of this and we will not be coming back solely because of him. Better service and people at Severna Park Lanes.
Great staff! Well maintained facility! The system is very modern. I needed some guidance on operating the equipment but my daughter helped with that. Overall my daughter and I had a great time! We will be back!
Love this place. The staff are friendly and the lanes are decent :)
They just don't like people of color there. Not kid friendly. Rude uptight staff. Wouldn't even break a 20 for my kid to play in the arcade. Racists
Came here on company function. Nice lanes with not too much oil. I'm surprised that the men's room was so clean.
Friendly and helpful staff. Great place!
Good place to meet, gather and have fun with friends, and family. Always a good time to be had
I was there recently with my bf and his two friends. I want to make a special shout out to David their star employee. David was so kind, funny and helpful. I also observed him going around and checking on others, filling napkin dispensers, etc, basically he kept moving and always working hard with a smile on his face. I would hire 100 Davids if I were you guys ??
Your average bowling alley with food and arcade games. A little pricey in my opinion. The kids had fun though.
We were extremely happy with this location and their staff; they were all very professional and treated us very well.
Nice bowling alley in Pasadena. The prices are very expensive (they were charging almost $6 per shoe rental which costs more then each game). Only way we were able to afford coming was by snagging a great Groupon deal which bundled 4 players for 2 hours and included shoe rentals. Some of their lanes weren't functioning, and we couldn't use a full 2 hours because they shut down the lanes at 5pm to prepare for bowling league that started at 6. I will say that they had a great selection of kids bowling balls (
Excellent experience! Will be back for more bowling. We went for my grandmothers birthday and they did everything to work with us with the reservations and to make my grandmother feel special. Start to finish the whole experience was wonderful. Friendly staff make you feel right at home
We took 6 boys (ages 10-12) bowling tonight and had a great time. I haven't been to this location in years and I must say, it's the nicest bowling alley around here. The staff were extremely friendly, from check-in to the food bar to the nice woman who checked on us a couple times. We will be back for sure! Check Groupon for a good deal - (must purchase more than 24 hours before you bowl.)
Not really into bowling, but I went with the fellas, out of boredom. Because of the hour we went, the place was calming dow, but was still pretty much lit. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable in bowling. The even pointed out what I was doing wrong and helped me ou with my form. After an hour I thought I was unbeatable. There was a bar inside, which is way to pricey in my opinion, but to each is own. I will certainly return and I recommend anyone to stop by.
I bowl in a league here and tend to shoot fairly well. The lanes are typically in great shape and as a bowler just a couple months back into bowling after being out of it for years, I really enjoy this house
This bowling alley is very lucky that I rated it a five. Everything was great, except for the two people that were being rude to me and the person that I was with. They should be banned from here! This is a picture of them; The woman in the center did nothing wrong. It was the other two.
Son had a birthday party here for a friend of his turning 6. Had an absolute blast, food was amazing and the staff were as well, definately would recommend this place to people of all ages.
Not only had a wonderful time with the family but John (front desk) was an absolute delight when it came to assisting with my mother?s very difficult and confusing requests. (Sorry John) Jessie (food station) was so polite and ensured speedy and wonderful service. Most definitely will be coming back to bowl again!
Nice place. Nice staff. Good food. We will bowl there again.
We had a birthday party here today & we were very happy with everything. All of the staff were so friendly & attentive & had everything nicely set up for us when we arrived. Great experience, thank you! Janice
Tyrell my goat. John's cool. Great staff. Fav bowling alley
My experience at this location was extremely disappointing. Myself and three friends decided to pay for unlimited bowling. Unlimited bowling goes from 9 pm to 1 am. At about 12:08 am, our lane went dark in the middle of our game. Management scurried around cleaning up the place while we sat there confused. At no point did anyone approach us and try to help with the situation. They let us sit there while they hurried to close the store early. It was extremely strange because there were at least 6 other lanes
It's still cool. Ms. Tonya is the best. They have few staff that are really awesome. Lanes are ok. The wife and I bowl there Twice a week.
What a fantastic experience we had at Rock n Bowl! What a fun family night!!! I wasn't sure what to expect, but the staff here was amazing! They were so busy and yet so patient and helpful at the front desk and the guys at the food court were so super nice and even brought us over our food. Then a lane next to us was having technical issues and the kid working there couldn't have been more helpful and kind to them as well. All the people around us bowling were having a blast, and it was just a really pleasa
Had a great time with kids and grandkids. Impressive automation these days. Last time we bowled, everything was manual. Like that and the prices back then more, but still enjoyed ourselves. Nice ambiance and outstanding service.
The staff was very friendly and the alley is well kept. The snack bar and bar staff are engaging and fun people. The overall atmosphere is positive and they want you to enjoy yourself at the alley. I definitely plan to go back. I am also glad to see that they were getting a bit busy, as I am sure that business has been tough for the last year and a half.
Pretty clean, nice screens and touch pads to enter info. Staff was helpful and friendly. Other people we played around were fun too. I've played at places that are nice and more modern, but for the price, it was still comfortable. I do want to come back to try the famous chicken sandwich.
The staff here is great and very friendly. The alley is clean. We always have a fun time there, and we go often. My only complaint is their website says unlimited bowling for night strike and weekly specials, but they say there's a 2hr limit when you're there.
First visit, but not the last. I arrived a little late on a Friday night, so I was not charged for my shoes, which I appreciated. The price for bowling was about $22 for a few hours, which is very reasonable. The place was clean and the atmosphere was nice. The staff were also friendly. I will definitely return. The only con is that they close at 11pm.
Enty of open lanesfor summer pass.
Love the lane conditions for a house shot
Great place for family fun and very clean . The prices for food and drinks are a lil high but overall a good place to come .
Clean, good equipment, good service. Lane quality is less variable than some other lanes in the area, which is nice.
What a fun day we had. I believe the gentleman?s name that helped us was Tyrone but my son thought he heard tyrell. Needless to say, he did an amazing job. The place was packed and he kept cool under pressure. I work in the food industry and know that people these days can break the best of us. He has a kind soul and did his job perfectly and went above and beyond.
They say they offer specials..not true, tried to reserve a lane multiple times nothing is ever available during the special! We're always told they have leagues and a corporate party coming in..Don't pretend to offer specials when there not ever available! And the staff well they should all be fired, im sure there are people that need jobs that could be better suited!
Was not very impressed? Had a good time with my friends, but the staff mumbled and spoke very low, could not hear them at all. Very expensive to bowl. My friends and I went in 45-30 minutes before closing time, a good enough time to get in one game. We had 1 frame left of the game and they shut our lane down. Would have taken 5 minutes to finish. Very disappointed and will not be going back.
My family and I had a great time here! Their food and drinks are great and they're very accommodating. They have bumpers and a toy dinosaurs to help the younger kids bowl a straight line. They clean, sanitize and adhere to masks regulations.
My family and I had an awesome time! Staff was friendly and the place was very clean. Thank you!
I wish I lived closer to this alley. The lanes were splendid. Nicely oiled. The aproach clean & sufficient slide. Brightly lit. The staff.... all of the staff was helpful & friendly. Rolled 500+ series
Took the family; hubs and 2 boys (3yo,1yo). Great time! Food was decent, arcade was a fun extra. Clean, fair prices, good atmosphere.
Very fun. Food is tastey. The machine often messes up your score or doesn't count the right number of pins. Had to call an employee over to help about 4 times in 2 hours. Overall a fun experience though.
Great bowling alley. Too bad I can't break 100 lol
Go on a Friday night and Rock & Bowl from 10 - 1am unlimited games for a set price. The food is pretty good, the cleanliness could be better but the staff is GREAT! Not crowded and the variety of music is entertaining. The children and I had a blast!
Restrooms need steady cleaning and attention.
Cool old style bowling alley. Definitely a lot different than most. The old machines are cool, but can break. Ours went down and they had to walk down, but the staff had us back to bowling in seconds. Went during an event for 3ish bucks per person a game, was definitely worth it. Lanes are nice and staff were great.
The staff were very helpful and courteous. We were there on a Saturday evening and they were pretty busy, but the gentleman at the front desk did not rush us when checking in and paying and we were able to get a lane immediately. The shoes were clean and newer looking then I've seen at other bowling alleys. The only thing that prevented me from giving 5 stars was the wait for food. I only ordered French fries and they said they'd bring it to the lane once finished. After waiting 25 minutes, we had to go bac
I purchased multiple Groupon deals and I when I called them to make a reservation, they said you can't use Groupon after 6 PM which doesn't make any sense because they don't close until 11 PM. I get off work at 6 PM and my wife at 7 PM. We were planning to go at 8 or 9 PM. Worse thing is that all the deals are non refundable. What a joke!
It was easy to make a reservation for 2hrs of unlimited games. The staff were all friendly and did a great job at keeping things cleaned and sanitary in accordance with covid19 regulations. We look forward to coming back again soon.
Lanes are good, no complaints about that. I think these would be considered dry lanes at least when I was there. They were not oily. Dropped a star because I got some pizza, and I was not a fan.
Service was bad. The staff there was being prejudice towards us I really believe because we were black. My family wanted to have a family bowling night. I patiently waited 10mins. While three workers at a full conversation. Then I interrupted them and ask it one of them could help me. The lady working rolled her eyes at me. After my family of 14 rented out three lanes the young lady with the blonde hair tried to overcharge us and when we told her she got smart with us. I will never come here again. I will
Old Lanes, ours broke down on us twice before finishing our third game. Beer selection is two... Yuengling is probably your best choice over the Budweiser. Food is pretty standard, go on the website for the menu. Booking a party is kind of a pain, need to call or schedule a call online. Wait for someone to call you back. Pay up front for everyone in party, which is a standard 2 hour session that costs $15 per person + $4 shoe rental per person. Ball selection is lacking and balls are old especially on a F
Great place to bowl. Facilities seemed cleaned and the manager Scotty made sure we had everything we needed, and even fixed an arcade game while we were there! Thanks and def recommend
They are short-staffed like a lot of places right now but the staff they do have are very nice and they work hard. My family enjoys bowling here every week. It's also kept clean and organized
Good place, very nice employees. They don't take coupons, a little more money than other places, and you have to wait 24 hours you can use your online order. Needs a upgrade very bad. Comparing other AMF this one is behind.
Great deal on Monday for 2 hours all you can bowl. But wow Saturday they changed their prices to 8.99 a game per person? plus shoe cost? biggest scam. Don't recommend bowling here on Saturday as Crofton, SP, and Annapolis have $20 all you can bowl both Friday and Saturday!
I had a nice time with my family /friends. However, this is my second time experiencing the staff there being prejudice towards black people at this bowling alley. The last time I went there I was on a date & the guy that I went with was very upset about it. So if you go there just beware that you too most likely will have to deal with it as well. We decided to make this a monthly event but we will not be going there next time...
I would give it 2.5 stars. Service was not that great except for one of the servers who was really nice, i think her name was Diane?. The pizza was just awful! We waited over 30 mins then decided to ask what was taking so long then they said they made our pizza too crispy and they are remaking it. Ok but why does it take that long for fries? The pizza we got was worse! The Sausage was horrible man! That's the worst pizza I've ever had. I wonder what it looked like the first time. It's fun to bowl. Just don'
We had a fun tonight. Played a few games. The drinks were good also. Stayed till Cosmic bowling started. Definitely take the family or date night. Especially to get out the house. You will have a great time.
Been coming here for many years for new years. Always a great time. Food was good, hospitality was great. Really missed the hats and horns though. We will be back. Nice bowling alley. Friendly staff, clean environment. THANKS !!
We went on Sunday with the Grandkids and had a great time bowling. They have changed some things since the last time we went here a few years ago. No more going up and down the entire bowling alley looking for the right ball. All of the bowling balls are right as you walk in the door. They are neatly organized, all lined up on open racks. It is such a nice time saver. They no longer have any carpet. It is all the same level flooring, so no more tripping when you get to the bowling lanes. The people working
Good alcoholic drinks and the soda is free refills. Seemed like they might be understaffed sometimes and the lane did malfunction and stop giving the balls back at one point but they fixed it quickly. overall good experience. Im awful at bowling soo yeah. We had fun though and the food was good, loaded fries and the garlic parmesan boneless wings is what i had. Clean place. Staff was friendly.
League nights have been rough. The lanes need more setup time. League stars at 6:15 but lanes start geting oiled at 5:45, done by 6:00 the lanes only have 15mins of setup time. So the lanes are technically oiled, but with no setup period before the start of the league they feel dry. Gotta give the lanes at least an hour to set up. Do this and watch how people stop complaining about dry lanes. Other than that keep up the great work. Love the employees everybody is cool, nice and place looks great.
Great lanes to bowl at for all ages. There us a pro shop though their hours can make it hard to get in. The only down side is the bar. The bar has a very limited selection of beer which is usually even smaller because one is out and the mixed drinks can be very strong here. I don't mind the strength of the drinks though.
Probably one of the worse bowling alleys I've ever been too. First of all the price for two games and shoe rental came up to be $51 which is way more than I've ever paid to bowl, even at much better bowling alleys. Secondly the food menu is way too expensive. No way a large pizza with 8 slices should be $18. Thirdly, it's far from being kid friendly. The rails shouldn't have to be up the entire game when there's one kid bowling with adults. It's time to upgrade this place to the 21st century bowling alley.
Bowling alley lane was broke for like 25min & manager did not come back & tell us nothing after Multiple times telling him lane is not working properly we were forced to wait til a lane comes open & than told to still be finished by 3pm & we were the 1st to be in alley at 12. Terrible service here if it wasn't for my lg I would REFUSE TO BE HERE worst alley in MD & I bowl at various alleys every Sunday. Could have atleast took a game off something smh.
Jay , Cierra and Emma gave me, my mother and my aunt the best service ever. They catered to us our whole experience and I haven't had this treatment for the 20+ years I've been there since them! Keep them around please!!!!
The bowling alley is pretty decent. They seem to keep up with cleaning during COVID. It gets pretty crowded on Saturday nights. The Rebecca lady seems to have an attitude EVERY SINGLE DAY so I try my best to avoid her.
League didn't pan out as expected but Scott let me know about some special and made the night. Good lanes, fresh setup, and great staff
It was great. We went on New Year Eve. The only thing I found out that is they don't do the galaxy bowl prices during holidays
I always have a great experience every Friday with 10-15 of my friends Big Thanks too all the staff especially Andrew he is amazing at his job keeps us playing constantly
It's like a forgotten old town in there... Mens bathroom is always filthy... the urinal are so dirty with old urine it's changing colors. The staff is cool... and the bar is pretty good.. but other that the place is a TOILET....
I'm not quite sure what that manager Rebecca's problem is. I believe she needs to brush up on her management and communication skills, also how to treat people. Ms. Rebecca is very unprofessional, upper management needs to check her.. Her lack in that area is not a good look for her or AMF Southdale Lanes. ....and no, I do not want to discuss this matter further. Good day!
Right from the beginning, the girl at front desk seemed to have an attitude. Apparently asking how much a game cost is annoying to her. First lane we were put at wasn't working wouldn't let us start a game. Told them, their response "press start game twice" which we did more than twice or we wouldn't have asked. So went back up to them this time lady says she now remembers this lane doesn't work properly so she gives us lane right next to first one. Seems to be working for some time. Notice towards end of f
Too many league night's. However we've finally got a chance to bowl there a few times and it's been fun. The staff is really good and the bowlers are friendly for the most part. Nice place....
Nearly 100 dollars to reserve a lane, not including shoe rental. Makes for an expensive night out. Unknown if that's unlimited games, or just the lane itself (6 people).
This was my 2nd time here this year and the staff is always nice and friendly and very helpful. Great prices, clean shoes and decent lanes. Definitely coming back
The people are very nice and helpful. Food isgreat with reasonible proicing. Love this place
The lanes weren't working, couldn't re-rack pins, if someone wasn't at the main counter you had to wait to re-rack. Food took a long time but was still good when it came out. Paid for two games and the lane shut off half way through the second game.
We bowl here with our Church every week. Great atmosphere, fun for the kids, and the staff are so helpful.
Called the alley 3 times. Left on hold for 10 minutes then someone hung up on me twice. Awesome service!
Don't listen to the 1-3 star reviews. I'm a regular 227 average bowler and this alley is top notch compared to any of the houses close by. Courteous staff members, oiled lanes (I've bowled neighboring dry-laned houses for practice... these at Southdale are NOT dry... try moving from your 1-shot strikezone) and food that doesn't taste like garbage. 6 stars.
They are making some changes that started several months ago and it seems to be coming to fruition. The center is cleaner, neater and friendlier than its been for a while. They are still working on leagues for summer and next fall so join now and get a head start.
Great place clean only thing is music could be louder ??
I have been going to AMF Southdale the way they vote in Chicago - early and often. Never had a problem with staff, equipment, or the center itself. Will be going back as long as I am able to bowl!
It was fine. Typical greasy bowling alley. Sometimes the machine glitches and skips over someone's turn or the ball gets stuck on its way back, but it's fine. Staff was very friendly
No bang for my buck.. Just wanted to get out and do something different. We decided to bowl a couple games. Shoes , 2 games and an hour and 20 minutes later I was 50 bucks in the hole. I wouldnt had minded soo much but I was charged an extra game for a few balls that were thrown down the lane as practice.. Maybe I'm out of touch with prices but I felt it was all a bit steep.. If this is the norm , it's no wonder people choose to do anything other than bowling. I wont be going again.. I can get more for my
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
