Pros: - Great and friendly staff -lots of lanes -lots of parking Cons: -$20 for bowling plus $6 for shoes. Same price as everywhere else. -older facility -seats for bowlers are extremely uncomfortable and old. Biggest con: pin reset units seem very old and need maintenance. We kept having to reset the pins because it forgot to put a pin down or just sat there after a frame..kind of frustrating having to hit the pin reset button every 4 frames. There are so many great bowling alleys in the twin cities, for
I've been here multiple times with my family and friends and have always had a great time. Little wait time with courteous staff. This time, we took our kids and nieces and nephews who all had a blast at the arcade and bowling. We'll definitely be back!
This is one of those times when I wish google had half stars because a 3.5 is a perfect score, but it's closer to a 3 than a 4. The good, the bowling lanes are nice and well maintained, they have arcade games and pool tables and pool is free from Monday until Thursday. The staff is also nice. The bad is that service is slow in the early afternoon because they're understaffed. Also, the pool table area is pretty dirty as well as the bathrooms.
We went for a birthday. It was nice they had some arcade games for the kids. Our balls kept getting stuck and we eventually were moved to a different lane. Drinks were more juice than water but food was delicious. Overall, not too bad.
My friends and I recently hit the lanes at AMF Saxon Lanes for a casual Friday night outing. Overall, we had a pretty good time, but there were a few things that stood out, both positive and negative. The Good: * Clean and Well-Maintained Lanes: The lanes themselves were in excellent condition. They were smooth, properly oiled, and the scoring system worked flawlessly, which is always a plus. Nothing's worse than a scoring system that glitches mid-game! * Classic Bowling Alley Vibe: The atmosphere was
Unity was such a great help servicing me and my family Lakeshia also did a great job helping me understand how the deal for unlimited was way better then paying single games if your in the area and looking for bowling fun this is definitely the place couple night or family night out
Saxons lanes are worst ever! My newest ball the rst hyperdrive, I got it as a gift for my birthday used it for a celebration at Saxon?s and look what it did to my ball. Scratched up and dented!!!!!!! My ball got stuck and didn't return, it took a while for nick to come and check up on it. He Didn't bother to switch me and my party to another lane until we asked for him to and He assumed that me and my party we're ?together? with the lane next to us because the other party ball got stuck with ours and they
Straight up DO NOT go to this place for bowling or food, I got charge 82 dollars for two games of bowling with 3 people only playing. I got told it was 10.99 per game and 5.99 per shoe rental. And in order to buy a pitcher of soda you have to buy it with a pizza, you cannot buy a pitcher of soda by it's self which is clearly a scam in the making. As a suggestion please do not take your kids or family members here.
Came here to bowl for the first time and had a great experience! The staff Unity, Olivia, and Jamila were super friendly and welcoming. They really made the vibe fun and easygoing. Will definitely be coming back! 10/10
Okay. This is a gonna be a long review because I feel like I've been ?scammed? or ?roofied? out of the chips I had on 2 game cards. About two and a half months ago [March], I discovered a deal to AMF lanes for their arcade via Groupon, and it was actually a REALLY good deal and better than most arcades I frequent. So I go there after purchasing and I get two arcade cards, and all is well! I'm enjoying some of the games. Sure there isn't a wide variety, but then again, it is a bowling alley; so arcade v
Both Jamila along with Olivia was amazing the whole night! They came to ask if everything was good with us! They checked in with us a lot and they also made sure we felt at home and that's what I love about bowling alleys is being able to feel at home!
My friends and I came here (on 25 April 2025) and it was amazing. There were some things I thought was a little confusing but overall it was great. First, the service was really kind and genuine. They were really genuine and fast to give their service. The first girl who was able to service us and ask us for the review definitely put the place in a good impression for me. Afterwards, the rest were amazing. Second, the prices are a little pricy but for a group who doesn't really care too much about it, it
Great service, Katie was freaking awesome! Great customer service, attentive staff, had a large group of people and kept up with all of us, on point! Thank you for a great time for our event!
This place is an absolute blast! Whether you're knocking down pins, or racking up baskets shooting hoops in the arcade, there's never a dull moment. The atmosphere is super fun, and the staff makes it even better! Huge shoutout to Unity, our amazing server?so friendly, attentive, and always making sure we have a great time. We love coming here and will definitely be back for more strikes and high scores! Highly recommend for a fun night out! ??????
Great place to bowl!! Clean, amazing staff (especially Unity!) and good food!!! Thank you so much and we will be back!! Unity is a wonderful asset to your business!! She is kind, caring and treats customers with respect!!! Thank you to Unity and the other staff!!
Fun atmosphere, great staff, highly recommend! And EXCELLENT French fries.
Fabulous for a New Year's Eve experience! Our family of 11 came here for dinner and 2 hours of bowling fun, and it beyond exceeded our expectations! They provided lots of free New Year's Eve swag like hats, headbands, sunglasses, glow bands, etc. that helped jumpstart the mood. For dinner, we got Ceasar salads (with good romain lettuce, not the cheap iceberg stuff), crispy chicken tenders, pizza, and fries. Then they brought out a tray of extra large chocolate chip cookies. Yowsa! Everything tasted great, a
Good bowling place but short staffed and we had to wait an hour for pizza. The manager gave us reimbursement from his own pocket though. Get more staff and I'll leave five stars
The staff is always super helpful and friendly. The food is good, and the kids had a great time. We often come to bowl here.
It was the worst experience of my life. The light skin girl who look like she angry constantly was harassing me and my friends, it was my friends 21st and kept coming to us having a problem. I was completely disgusted by the behavior the boss who was short tried to call my guy friend a little boy and said specifically ?what you want to do I got the whole bowling alley? completely disgusting and unprofessional behavior will never go back to a unprofessional environment like this again completely ruined our
Female staff had attitude when asking to clarify question. Other staff member schemed us into paying extra games for another lane that said it would be available soon next but was not. We asked if we could use available lanes for our large group and lied that the system was ?frozen? despite adding other customers to other lanes and ringing up more people. We tried to understand and asked for my clarification more and they got argumentative with our group and tried to gaslight us into thinking we did somethi
5/5 stars! AMF Bowling Alley is the perfect spot for a great night out! The atmosphere is energetic and fun, the pool tables are a great addition, and the staff is super friendly. If you're looking for a good time, look no further - you'll find it here!
Terrible!!!!! Their bowling equipment fails every single time I have been here and their staff are the worst at responding to your issues. Worst yet my bowling balls got stuck in the ball return and the manager tells me they don't have a technician until Monday (it's currently Friday night). It's a bowling alley? how are there no technicians nearby to resolve these type of problems. I was able to open up the ball return and retrieve one of my bowling balls on my own, however there are 3 that will not budge.
Better to just buy machines and let it do the job. The workers at AMF Little Canada, MN are so rude. First time there and the Black cashier lady expected you to know everything as if you are the worker there. She made snide remarks and comments if you were up at the register and had questions anything beyond knowing how many is in your party and how many you are paying for. Then, if you had to go change shoe sizes because it didn't fit well or anything, they would all ignore you as if you weren't even there
Keisha was amazing! Would definitely come back. Tip her well!
When searching for a location for our holiday party for 60 people, Little Canada AMF became "the place" as the sales team (Kendra) brought an awesome deal and talked us into more than we initially wanted, but we are so happy she did . Everyone was kind, informative, and helpful. The front desk was quick to take our final details and get everyone shoes so smoothly. The wait staff was super attentive to any needs that came up. And RAYZOR was ultimately the most attentive as he was making sure our entire party
I tipped the bartenders very well and when I ask for a water after consuming many beverages they say it's 3 dollars for water. Absolute joke , I've never been to a place with a bar that charges 3 dollars for water , ridiculous. Wish I didn't tip so good for low quality service
I would never come back to this location. Completely harassed me and my group the whole night. It wa my friend?s birthday and they kept coming up to us about non relevant things. On top of that the MANAGER was trying to fight my guy friend and said specifically ? I got the whole bowling alley wht you want to do? as threat beyond disgusting behavior!! Would never recommend this location
Had a great experience bowling at Saxon lanes. The 2 women at the front desk were amazing, along with the servers. 10/10 recommend !!!
I love bowling here good prices and good environment. Would be 5 stars but my only issue is that the pump it up pads need some maintenance.
What a nice place to bowl on a quiet Thursday night. A few lanes were being used under the glow of colored lights. The staff was very welcoming, helpful, and professional. The center was very clean and the prices were great! Party space can be rented and adult beverages may be ordered at the groovy bar. There is also a pro shop on the premises. There are many opportunities to join league bowling, as well as discount offers. This is a fun place for fun people to have some fun times.
While the bowling was normal, the options for non alcoholic drinks were ridiculous! They would not allow pitchers of water, you had to pay $3 for a bottle of aquafina! You aren't even allowed to get a just pitcher of soda! You have to buy a pizza combo for $25! If we just wanted 2 pitchers of soda it would end up costing us $50! It's such a huge rip off! We went after dinner so we weren't hungry at all.
5 star from me and my family we came late Thursday and Keisha served us, and got us situated definitely well communicated also very friendly! We'll be coming back soon.
This place is trash. We asked for a pitcher of water and was told we had to order food to get water. Never have I experienced this at any other bowling alley. Then they make you pay after whick means you have to get in line twice. Most it not all of our bowling balls were damaged with chips and deep scratches as well. We will not be coming back
Gabby was SO kind and helpful and made coming here such a fun experience. We played 3 rounds of bowling, some pool, and all the arcade games and ended up spending 3 hours here having the time of our lives. Thank you Gabby!! :)
Terrible customer service. The bartender had a nasty attitude over some questions I had regarding ordering another soda cup. He ended up just handing me an empty cup and said ?Look, just take the cup,? and then took off without doing anything else. The workers were not very informative about the pricing and about any deals until it was time to pay. I did not feel welcomed as a newer customer who was just trying to get some clarification. I came here to celebrate a birthday with a special person but our nigh
Kid friendly with a kind staff. Pizza was pretty good too! Would recommend over bowling alleys in the area.
Great place to enjoy with your friends and staff here are great Keisha is always nice and friendly when we come to play pool. I would definitely recommend come here if you are in town great music and bowling is always a blast
Katie was an amazing server! Would definitely come again 10/10
Best bowling alley in the Twin Cities!!!! can't talk enough about the service. Great service, great waitresses all around great experience for the family. Highly recommended!!!!!
It was adequate but could use more air conditioning
Made a reservation here for my son?s 8th birthday party. Awesome food choices unlimited soft drinks . Arcade credits for every child and adult that attended. Kids had great time. Adults had great time. And the whole birthday package was under 250!! Which is basically unheard of if you want a whole birthday package anywhere else will start going there often we loved it
Kesha is chill. Also, ask for half a can of Red Bull for your Jaeger bombs.
First time there on a unlimited Thursday and Friday which was awesome bowled a 144 shot some pool and food was good
Enjoyed the $10 unlimited bowl for spring break. Will definitely be going back for future events
Had so much needed fun! Everything is set up for Covid so we felt safe. Awesome food, the host was so cool. We are coming back again
Stopped in to Pro Shop looking for shoes gentleman was very helpful. Haven't bowled there yet but will definitely be back to. Clean. On line specials look good.
First off, I'm not one to usually review but the experience I had during this visit was the worst I've ever had. I'll start off with the very confusing front end lady who charged us way more than we thought because she had misinformed us and now we had to pay the repercussions of her mistakes. We didn't mind at all but what made our experience worse is the bartender. He was an older white guy with a beard and his customer service was HORRENDOUS. We end up trying to make small talk and he completely disregar
Used a Groupon and it went through no hassle. They have half sizes in shoes. A bar and other food. You can bring drinks to your lane and bartender would check in on you/get refills for you at the lane. Wasn't that busy when I was there. Would definitely come back for the other activities like pool and darts as well as more bowling.
Enjoyed an evening with my son and a family friend. Food was ok to me it's basic bowling alley food
Keisha and Katie were amazing at the bar. Very friendly
This place is fun and clean and the staff are really friendly.
Fun and atmosphere is good, but it seems they changed their prices because for 2 games for 5 people is $140!!!!!! If you got money like that then I guess go for it
We had a good family night. However, poor customer service by our waitress. Order our fountain drinks and had to go back 20-25mins later to see where our drinks were. Later in the evening, the waitress came by and cleaned our area n slipped our drink which we paid for. I asked if we'll get a reimburse or refill and receive a firm look and ?no?. I am upset that no action was taken because of this facility chooses to charge for everything I would expect that the service would be receptive if it wasn't their o
Celebrated my husband's birthday here with our family (age ranged 3years old to 60years old). Was super fun and got a party discount from booking online. The manager and our servers were very kind and very helpful. Recommend for your next party.
They were really nice, the atmosphere was good
Keisha is amazing she gave the most incredible service
The Saturday Bartender Cared More About Hanging Out With Her Friend Instead of Paying Customer We visited Saxons Lanes on Saturday, Feb 29 (Leap Year). We were there for the bowling, but of course visited the bar for drinks. The ONLY bartender scheduled that night was HORRIBLE. She was rude, slow, no sense of urgency considering she was the only staff present with a bar filled with 40+ and bowling alley filled with 50+; and on top of that, her friend was sitting at the bar all night and the bartender sp
Underrated place to go bowling. The lane systems seem new and it's not too overcrowded generally. The food is great and so is the beer. My only complaint is that they used to have a dart board and no longer do ??
10/10 Customer service, one of the staff (she works at the front) saw me carrying food out with a napkin, and she offered me a box before I even thought of asking. Gabe (I believe?) Is a comedian, was cracking me up every second and was fast and efficient with the food. 7/10 Environment, the table and seats have a strange setup (in my opinion). 10/10 Game experience, the people here are nice too. The owner also responds to most comments which shows me that the place is being ran by an experienced, committed
Keisha was helpful. Fun place
Great place. Super friendly staff
It used to be a good place to bowl. Fine the price went up, no problem. You can't get a glass of water they charge for water so stay away. No water fountain NO FREE WATER. How is this legal. ??????. I will never bowl there again.
Great place, environment, and Fantastic workers.
Fantastic experience. Clean building, and great service! We had set up a reservation ahead of time over the phone for my family, and we had a host checking on us multiple times for drinks, food and just anything in general. Great service and fun time, would recommend!
Reserved a party here for work. RAYZOR was an awesome host!! All employees were super nice and served us well. Will definitely come back again !
Decent pricing overall but figuring out the actual cost of bowling is not laid out well on their site. Areas are always clean and the staff is extremely helpful with any issues.
Food was great hot and came fast and on time bartender was amazing and Kevin the cook was spectacular. Will definitely be back again!!
We stopped in to bowl on an impromptu rainy day when the pool no longer was an option. Nice facility, good ball options- organized, large. A little pricey, but what isn't anymore. There are pool tables, an arcade area, and bar section on top of the bowling lanes. We ordered chicken strips and fries while there and a few drinks. The service was a bit slow but the food was hot and the drinks were good, typical for what I'd expect from a bowling alley. The girls working were helpful. We'd definitely stop in ag
Very unique bowling alley. The oiling patterns being changed is great for training if you plan on tournament bowling. Good people, good fun.
Great bowling alley and arcade with affordable prices and Groupon deals. Great for kids! Deals before 6pm
Awesome service! Waitresses r nice n great at communicating. They made sure that we always have a great time. They'll come around once in a while to check up. Even though they work with so many customers. The workers never confused any orders n made sure we had what we wanted!
What an excellent blast from the past! I used to live right across the street nearly 20 years ago so this was a very regular stomping grounds. The nostalgia combined with the fun time, good food and service land Saxon (that is apparently now owned by Bowlero?) at a 5 ?. Pretty small menu compared to what larger establishments have, but 3 of us guys ordered wings and the wood fired flatbread pizza. I suspect the pizza may have been frozen but I do not care - it was phenomenally phenomenal. The sweet chil
We had a great time! We were served by Alex, who was also fixing the lanes. These employees work hard! Thank you to Alex and everyone.
Had a wonderful experience with my family going bowling. We stopped in due to other plans changing and the front desk workers were very friendly. They could sense that my kids were getting hungry and brought over the menu before my kids started their "I'm hungry" routine. The staff is super nice. Equipment was ok and we had a great time!
A family-friendly place with a welcoming environment and great food. The lanes are outstanding and staff like Baccauri provide above and beyond service. My family go every Sunday and plan on continuing the tradition. Cheers!
Pros: The alley is in really nice shape, and well maintained. Nicely oiled. Cons: Food/Drink prices are insane. This is not a pro sports stadium $25 for a pitcher of beer is too steep. They sell a 100oz tower of light beer for $65.
The area for the kids was really nice. The language were too dark, and they did not have poppers for children at all. The cost was very spendy for it only to be a small area and group of us. We enjoyed ourselves anyway. There are darts and pool tables there available also arcade games. On the plus side if you are a drinker they have a plethora of alcoholic beverages and deals. The food was a four. I may be back but go and enjoy yourself if you are in the area. Just remember to bring a little extra in your p
Even on busy nights we always get taken care of fast, the drinks are always good and it's an updated slept on place to go bowling along with great staff.
Everything was great. All the staff in the kitchen and front desk were awesome! Great customer service!
Although the lanes aren't the greatest, definitely need new balls, but the atmosphere is excellent. Great service. Food can certainly use an upgrade and the restrooms definitely need the upgrade but overall, place is family friendly and prices are better here than other bowling places
Went for my first time last weekend. There's about 6 pool tables, some arcade games, then the bowling alley. Super spacious and decently well kept bathrooms. It was kinda dark by the bar area though, they need more light over there. Some of the pool tables were a little worn out, holes in the fabric and whatnot. You pay $10 an hour for a pool table which is a great deal. People actually stay pretty long (3+hrs).. It was a pretty chill place. Bar drinks were pretty mediocre, got a couple mixed drinks that
Keisha was the best. We had a blast the lanes were great and the service was phenomenal
Friendly staff, clean, lots of bowling balls to choose from and nice bowling area.
Staff was amazing . Keisha was super informative
Ok place family had fun could be better
This place is horrible!!!!! I wish I could give it a zero rating. Don't clean the place, approaches are always tacky and dirty. Also the high school practices here every Tuesday and Thursday and can't open the doors a couple mins early. Shows how the place doesn't care even about the community!! ???? Very sad
I went here for a night with my 2 kids but ended up having to leave early, a group of overly drunk men were screaming & shouting racial slurs between eachother about African Americans. I felt very uncomfortable & believe they were the managers friends and come there often. Not a safe environment. The ?manager? ?Nick? completely ignored me at the desk for 5 minutes while only looking up once from his computer. I didn't receive proper service & would not recommend or return.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
