AMF Rocklin Lanes

AMF Rocklin Lanes

Reviews Summary

This bowling alley generally receives positive feedback for its friendly, helpful staff (especially managers like Ramon) and family-friendly atmosphere. Many praise the affordable pricing, good food (particularly fries and pizza), and clean facilities. Several reviews highlight excellent customer service that goes above expectations. However, some note inconsistencies like occasional understaffing, dirty lanes, or maintenance issues. A few negative reviews mention declining quality after management changes, higher prices, or unappealing league-night conditions. The venue is widely recommended for casual outings, though serious bowlers may find the conditions subpar. Positive experiences with staff often outweigh minor complaints about wait times or equipment.

Customer Reviews

Fun outing! The lanes were a little off sometimes, still leaving pins how they were from the previous bowler to the next bowler, but all together fun time.

Visited this place the service was fantastic, the staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The food was good as well, with a great variety of options. Plus, the arcade added an extra layer of fun to our outing. Overall, it was a perfect spot for a fun night out with friends or family Highly recommend!

I went in yesterday with my kids to get out and have some fun let's just say it did not disappoint! It's a great establishment with kind and helpful employees! Miguel helped us at the front desk and was very helpful and sweet, he played with my son for a brief moment while I got my other kids wrangled up. Let me just say being a mother is a wild ride and we appreciate all the help we get. So thank you to Miguel. As we got to our lane we got our shoes on and I needed help with putting the gates up. lasked fo

We went for my nephews birthday recently and had a great time. Rental shoes were clean and well maintained, as was the rest of the facility. Any issue we had was taken care of quickly and efficiently. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is bc you can't put bumpers on for individual players, it's everybody or nobody. With all the machinery that is already in a bowking alley, why not do individual bumpers?

Me and my family went to AMF on a Saturday around 1 o'clock after going to strikes in Rockland and being told the wait times would be over an hour and required an online reservation there was no wait or reservation required at AMF and it felt like more of an old time family place but more of a classic Local at home feel as well. Not loud and dark compared to strikes The staff was extremely helpful and there was plenty of lanes and balls overall an enthusiastic experience i will definitely visit again

AMF lanes on n Rocklin is a bit older but a great place to do something you'll know you'll have fun doing. Atmosphere is cool with a lot of great people. The staff is great. Ready to help or have your order ready. You're surely to have a great time!

Enjoy a fantastic atmosphere with sports always playing in both the bar and bowling alley areas. Join one of the many bowling leagues available. There's a large arcade for extra fun, and kids are welcome. Plenty of parking available.

I called ahead to inquire the prices versus the ones marked online. Justin was a hero, well informative and friendly. First come first serve. Prices vary depending on the day and hours you come in. We bowled three games $7 bucks a game plus shoe rental for $54; they hold your credit card info to protect the rentals. The staff was always working and tidying up. A plus for hard workers. The place is very inviting. We walked in and got a lane immediately. Plenty of parking. They have food. Kid friendly.

We were here for a birthday party, there were 4 lanes of ours, a couple of them were systematically buggy, they didn't update the skittles, they constantly pressed the restart button, the shoes for a 9-year-old boy were just terrible, just worn out. Overall impression is below average.

I have been coming to AMF in Rocklin for several years and Mike is my favorite bartender hands down. He always takes care of us and has the best attitude and customer service. Wednesday and Thursdays are the best because those are the days he works. Basically he's the only reason I go to AMF in Rocklin. But? the ranch sucks!

Great Sunday Funday deals! Definitely old school lanes but so fun! Nice staff who are very nice, attentive, and super helpful! Clean bathrooms, good drinks, fun little arcade area, plenty of parking! A great place for family fun!

Staff was very nice. None of the balls were put back in place ,they were all in the ball return. Lighting was terrible, yellow is hard to bowl with. Place was clean and easy parking

I went there with my mom to just spend some time, which was great! But when I was playing the machine game, one of them was not working right, so I just wasted some credits, BUT when I asked the staff, there was a person named Darius, he's so cool and friendly and had a great customer service, so he gave me back the credits.... Darius is the best!!!

Scott is super helpful, he also went out of his way Monday night to turn a machine back on for us that was just turned off. So we could settle our family feud... I mean that is customer service and we will continue to come back because of that

A great place to celebrate birthdays whether you're young or old. We just celebrated another grandkid?s birthday party and really appreciate the friendliness and helpfulness of the managers (Ramon and Rebecca), and their staff members. The food are delicious and the kids loved the pizza. My grandson commented that their fries are better than McDonald?s. Bathrooms are always kept clean, which is much appreciated. The added fun for the kid?s are the video games. Having party?s combination of bowling and

If you're looking for a bowling alley that's more fun than your last family reunion, AMF Rocklin is the place for you. From the moment you arrive, you know you're in for a good time ? it's like stepping into a wormhole that transports you into a parallel dimension full of easy strikes, plentiful pizza, and shoes that are a size too big. (But that's part of the charm.) The lanes are perfectly maintained, offering a smooth roll every time, unless you're me, in which case, it's an occasional gutter ball. The

Always an enjoyable experience when bowling at AMF Rocklin. Great group of employees. Very comfortable seating at the lanes and always spotlessly clean. Arcade has the latest games. Food is really good at the snack bar. Frequent specials on bowling and arcade pricing.

It works be nice if they answered their phones. I've been trying for over a month to get through!!!

The atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. Had an amazing time. Will definitely go back again!

The kids had a lot of fun. Plenty of lighter weight balls. The arm that pushes the downed pins got stuck twice. The first time it took about 15 minutes to get it fixed and we almost walked out. Apparently the "help" button does nothing - we had to go find someone which was kind of a chore as they were all hiding out. We were unsure of where to enter. There's a big AMF sign on one end of the building but the entrance isn't marked as being AMF. We initially drove around the side of the building closest to the

great service, good food and a great experience definitely coming here on the weekends more often

They recently remodeled! Invest in the season passes! Such a fun activity to do with kids, could be a great date night too! Garlic parmesan fries are fire!

Friday night was league night and it was busy! But with 3 adults and 2 kids we got a lane and had a great time!

Had a blast!! It was an early mother's day and it made mama happy ?? one note, my husband asked a waitress if they would do a lettuce wrap for the burger, a younger blond lady, I think ?? a manager, overheard her asking the cook, and told her, no and you should know that by now. It's nice to see young folks working, but, there's no need to be nasty to the staff when asking a question about the food. Hope the manager sees this and takes a kinder approach with her staff who are trying to do the right thing!

Food and drinks were great. The staff was very friendly and management was attentive.

It's only been the 2nd time I've been in this place. Not bad except there's no spare bowl rack available but overall it's a decent place to bowl.

I love this bowling alley! It's worth the drive to me! I come here on Sunday?s when it is not so crowded because sometimes I don't mix with people. The food is good too! Just wish they would give more nacho sauce haha. The sample platter always hits the spot, it's really yummy. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The bar has delicious drinks but they are addicting and can mess you up if you don't drink accordingly. Shoes can be a little slippery but adds a little electric slide vibe which is actually

I went in to bowl today and had a very good time. I came in with my family and everyone was happy with their experience. The manager, Miguel, was very helpful. He came to check up on us consistently to make sure we were doing ok. The food was also very good. We got the alley sampler which has a little bit of everything. Would definitely recommend. Overall a very good experience and friendly staff. Definitely coming again soon.

Staff was friendly, everything ran well, food was great, and service was amazing recommend coming here!

The staff here is awesome, the atmosphere is fun, arcades and pool table. Great prices for a pitcher with delicious food

The lanes are in good shape and the staff are friendly. Food is average.

2 pitchers, 2 shareables ($30/item) $120? 2 games 4 ppl? $117? 2 white claws? ($20)? American dream of taking family bowling on budget is dead? but fun time. Money isn't real. Spent it.

It's the best place to spend time with family. The staff were very attentive and their hospitality was great. My family had a great time will definitely come again in the future

Went there tonight. We heard that they remodeled it so we thought that we would give it a try. Nothing looked remodeled. Balls are in horrible shape. The fan that was over us didn't work. The AC wasn't on and it was hotter than hell in there. I made a comment and the person next to us said that the AC only works in the bar. Everywhere else it does?t work. By the time we got done it felt better to be outside. It was a 108 today and it was 91 outside when left the building and it was cooler outside than it w

Terrible experience. First time here and I experienced the rudest customer service. I was told that my group broke the bowling lane while we were waiting to throw. We were told by a younger lady with blonde long hair that we broke the lane and it's a $3,000 fix and she walked away without letting us get a word in, shut the lane down immediately. VERY rude.

Absolutely love this place. Been Bowling since I was a toddler basically. This place is still Old School. Customer Service is still CUSTOMER SERVICE. Mike at the bar always takes care of me and my league team on Wednesday. He knows us by name and makes it feel like Cheers in this place. I literally live around the corner from Strikes and I will not go there because the vibe is just right at this place. Again, ask for Mike at the bar and he'll definitely take care of you.

Great service, always look forward to coming here on the weekends

They've done a great job with this place. It's an old fashioned style bowling alley but it feels nice on the inside, good job remodeling. The front desk staff weren't the warmest, but this may be because they were super busy with a league night. The staff at the cafe on the other hand were great! They bring the food out to you with a smile on their face.

We paid $28.99 for unlimited bowling, for which we got to play one game until the lane broke and nobody was able to fix it for around an hour. We were then ready to get food so we asked if we could simple get a refund or even pay for a single game since that is all we were able to play because of the machine being broken for so long. The manager didn't offer any discount or refund for our original price because they ?aren't closing yet? and on top of that was argumentative on the lane being closed for an ex

Better prices than strikes, nice bar, clean and fun!

So went here with my son and played 9 games but because my son was with me they charged me for 19 btw that math doesn't even work. So $177 even the cashier was confused when they charged me. Yeah, we got nachos and a drink but $177? I'll never go here again and I'm gonna make sure everybody I know that this place is horrible. Btw this was at around noon more than half the lanes unused. Thanks for ruining my outing with my kid. Called another place strikes what they would charge and was $36. Get lost AMF lan

Took my granddaughter here to play and she had a great time! The staff were all super friendly and helpful. It's a one stop shop! She got to bowl AND have arcade games too!! Definitely will be back!!

These employees are the rudest most incompetent people I have ever dealt with. Me and my family went here on a Sunday (Feb 19th, 2017)afternoon to play a few nice games of bowling. As soon as we got there things started out bad. We told the older woman with dark hair and glasses at the desk we wanted two games for two of us to play together. She made it ridiculously complicated. And then charged us for four games. We ordered one pizza and two breadsticks before we even got our lane. After an hour and 45 min

Maritza is a Greek goddess. No one can compare to her excellence and professional service! I would recommend anyone to try and prove me wrong

Staff were very lovely and attentive. Went to bowl with a couple friends, and our lane had some technical difficulties but the staff was kind enough to extend our time by an extra half hour to make up for it. Other than the buggy lane troubles, overall a great experience!

Tuesday night unlimited bowling, bring a handful of people, grab the pitcher with 2 appetizers deal and you're set up for a good night. A couple lanes had some issues but the staff was friendly and reliable enough to sort us out. Great times worth the trip out. 1 person buys the lane, every one after that buys one pitcher each. Perfect night out.

We used to love this place, but as of the last few years, they are terrible. They don't post league days on their calendar so you show up and SORRY! No public lanes until after 3pm (or later). They don't answer their phone. EVER. There is never enough people on staff, so good luck getting food or service in a timely manner. And what really pushed me to write this review was our (repeat) experience today. We arrived 15 mins before opening and got in an already well-formed line. We waited for 20 minutes befor

It's an older version of bowling. But I like it. When I go not too many people go. It's fun and the service is adequate. Sometimes food or customer desk is slow or lacking employees. But they get the stuff done.

I had an okay experience here, wasn't the best bowling session I've had. The staff was lack luster and took their time when helping me. Granted it was Wednesday but they still have a job to do.

Atmosphere cool on the inside. Pizza surprisingly good. Air hockey and basketball was fun. Biggest con was bumpers had to be either on or off.

Love the staff here! They were very attentive to our party?s needs and made the afternoon fun time for the whole family! The manager, I think his name was Scott, went above and beyond to get our lane back up and running when the ball got stuck and his professionalism is unlike anything I have ever experienced at a bowling alley! I WILL be back!

, Super friendly staff always willing to help

So much fun for the whole family! Fries are amazing and the best in town I'm told nachos are also a big hit! Thanks for opening up again!!!

Everyone was super nice! The food came fast and the bartender Brian was dope! Definitely going back, super family friendly!

Went to amf to play bowling with some friends and payed $30 for unlimited and about one game, one hame in it broke for about an hour, we had to leave and asked for a refund. Miguel R was our server he was a manger or something, Miguel R argued and said,? it wasn't an hour and we can't do anything for you?. It was a terrible experience and hopefully they have better customer service next time.

Wonderful bowling alley with great staff! Make sure to check if it's league night, as there may be wait if it is.

We haven't been bowling in years, but my son-in-law wanted to go for his birthday. So all 10 of us went, ages 67 down to a 2 year old. What a blast. The folks here took great care of us. The food was good and the drinks were better. It was nice to see the place hopping. There was a good crowd but plenty of room for us. We'll be back for sure. Pretty affordable night for all of us!

Came Sunday to watch my friend bowl in her tournament very clean complex and nice staff. Mike at the bar made me a perfect bloody Mary it was delicious! Seasoned well spicy and had bacon and extra olives. Very polite, funny and accommodating will definitely come back here for drinks & food again thank you AMF For a good time!..... Sincerely Carolyn Ward from Fresno.

Been here a couple times. Great hard working staff, including Bree! Overall a good place to bowl at, definitely will keep coming back!

This place isn't so greate if you want to have a good time for to the one on madison. The music is so old even my grandma would say it's outdated and they have projectors flashing on the wall right behind the pins. (You know to help you concentrate.)

Took a while to get checked in and get a lane, they were clearly understaffed. The staff that was there was helpful and friendly. The guy I assume was the manager asked us if we enjoyed our night which was nice. Everything was pretty dirty but thats kind of what a bowling alley is right? Overall we had a fun night!

Mike can make any drink you ask him to, if he has the supplies. Every drink is perfect and I am thankful he is my bartender. A+ service and always has a drink recommendation for whatever mood I'm in.

The 5 star review is for the bar inside. Mike, behind the bar does a fantastic job, remembering customers names and what they drink. The servers are attentive and the staff at the front desk does a nice job as well. You'll have a nice time here.

Had a great time chill vibes, good music, the vibes were amazing super attentive and helpful staff. Definitely will be going back with more friends soon!! :)))

This place is going downhill fast.. the bathrooms are dirty, front desk staff is slow.. I used to frequent this place often.. I heard they changed management and it shows... used to frequent the bar, mike was awesome. What happened to him? These new bartenders are super slow and don't really seems to know what they are doing

Ya like bowling? Ya like great food? Ya like greater drinks? You found the place my G! AMF is a great place to chillax, throw some balls, slam some brews, the usual stuff you do at bowling alleys, right? I don't know, I don't work here. But the bar is where it's popping if you know what I'm saying! Great selection of draft beer, plenty of liquor, Mike?s secret menu! ?Who's Mike??, some would ask. Mike is the man behind the bar who tells no secrets but keeps them all. Mike has been in the bartending game for

Mike at the bars top notch always clean drinks come fast no complaints!

The most affordable fun for the whole family in the area. We went with our friends and their kids and we were amazed at how affordable it was. Ramon, the GM is one of the most friendly people I have ever met and his hustle and customer service are unmatched. This will be our regular hangout for future bowling experiences.

Great place for families and clean. Bartender wasn't great at pouring beer but nevertheless we got beer. Had a Groupon that was valid in a Saturday which was great. Whole family had a great time. Would be great to get table service for beers just like food

Lots of league players and lanes. Clean bathrooms and nice staff.

We got to have our Holiday Party there! They made it such a fun experience for me and my whole team. We got to have lanes and food, and the staff was very helpful. Go check them out!

The place looks absolutely lifeless & deserted. Loved taking my wife & 3 kids here to bowl because of the atmosphere. It was affordable to bowl & the games were decently priced the food was always expensive but my kids really enjoyed it. Now my rating of why it is a 1 star is because of this they changed all of their pricing there used to be unlimited bowling from 10pm-12am and they used to have bar specials. All of the cool management is gone the two younger girls and the G.M. Roman Left I haven't seen th

AMF was great. Super busy for a Wednesday night but still fun, about 20 minute wait for a lane. Food served was decent for bowling alley bar type food. Drinks were good and very reasonably priced. Staff was super friendly.

Clean, friendly place. Food was ok, teenagers liked it .

Old school, wood lanes, helpful staff great experience

This place is so bad. Has all the feeling of a rundown bowling alley but the prices don't reflect. It's so expensive for no reason. Nothing is updated or nice, the bar is okay if you only want to order a Bud Light, and the arcade games are out of order. Go anywhere else.

Fun place, but bowling should definitely not be over $7 a game. Food is also overpriced for what you get. For example a sampler appetizer platter runs $24 and includes 4 wings, 4 boneless wings, 4 mozzarella sticks, bread sticks and fries. Pool table is $10 an hour and the bar is very good. If you want to save a little money, they offer special rates on weeknights like Monday all you can bowl..

Brought my son and his friends to bowl for his birthday. I had made a special call to make sure if we came early they would get to bowl. I get there and all but 4 lanes were booked for bowling teams.I mentioned that I called and spoke to a woman, well that woman did not work there anymore. I asked to speak to a manager and Ramon came and talked to me. He insured our group would bowl and he did exactly that. He continued through the night to make sure we were taken care of. I felt he went over and beyond to

Came to amf for a night with friends. Was immediately greeted by Rebecca with a smile. Throughout my time there Nadia and Crystal made sure we were always taken care of. We order a few drinks and the bartender Mike absolutely nailed them. Great environment, great employees, great time.

Pretty great place with good food, drinks, and service. The atmosphere is also good and we enjoyed our time at this place. There are some broken items that need to be fixed, including many of the lanes. I recommend this place if you are looking for a low key family night out. They also have video games and some arcade style games if you are looking for some old fashion air hockey or pinball.

I attended a bowling tournament tonight with my husband, and we are incredibly frustrated and will not be returning. Multiple lanes kept breaking. They had to move them due to faulting machines, which messes with the flow of the game. We expressed our frustrations many times, ever single time they had to come over to fix the lanes (which was a lot, mind you) and no compensation was offered. After reading the reviews, this bowling alley KNOWS that they have issues, yet continue to host tournaments and partie

Just went to this AMF location for the first time on Labor Day. Apparently their tournament was bigger than they expected and the two lanes we booked were still occupied for awhile after our reservation started. The manager totally took care of us and went above and beyond. Great customer service. Classic bowling alley vibe. Will return for sure.

I bought Groupon package of 4 persons 2 hours. We decided to go on a Sunday afternoon. The girl at the front desk was super nice. She picked a lane for us, checked in, got bowling shoes for everyone and put up rail for kids. The place is typical bowling alley. It's outdated but it was pretty clean. The place is big and was not over crowded. Kids had a lot of fun.

Had a great time there. Staff was friendly! Food was tasty too. Bowling menu was easy to operate and everyone had fun. Arcade section is entertaining for the kids that didn't want to bowl

AMF (aka bowlero) really knows how to turn off real bowlers. I went when the place was dead and the lanes were garbage. The approach was dirty from the day or night before. The place is tinted in an orange light and they turn on the lights if you ask for league play. The place has great seating and seemed like a fun place for kids to run around but definitely not your serious bowler vibe. The front desk lady/manager was absolutely amazing and was the best part about this place.

Our favorite bowling spot outside of Fireside lanes. Original hardwood floors, not that plastic stuff going into all the new bowling alleys. Our lane didn't get jammed up once in the 2 hours that we bowled. The DM was in & was extremely hospitable to our family & friends. Half our group showed up a half hour late & he was courteous to help us out & add extra time since the place wasn't busy. Grateful for a friendly hospital staff.

Staff is always friendly, love Joann is very helpful during league play. Place is clean, restrooms well stocked. Snack bar menu could use some updating, so much fried food and pizza is soooo greasy!

Went 2 times with my mom and had a blast I'm 13 and it's really fun to go do! I got 2 strikes my first time but lost and lost the second time also my mom is good I am going today on the 24th April! The food is really good we tried the fries with cheese and chicken with jalape?os really good! 5 review!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pool tables in arcades still good in this modern age?

Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
