Take a trip down memory lane (pun intended) and bowl like it's 1987. That's not a bad thing either! For all the flair and animation we usually experience in bowling, this was a treat that closed out our Spring Break with the kids. They even had a special that couldn't be beat ?? If you're wanting a nice time in the evening without all the pomp and circumstance, just a simple bowling game with good food and drink selection, good music (not too loud either) and a variety of ball sizes for deal? This is the p
We came for the New Year?s special package. This place is amazing. The food was delicious, the staff is extremely friendly. A hidden gem. Fun for the entire family. The music is upbeat and perfect for bowling. The bathrooms are clean. The entire bowling alley is basically spotless. Will definitely be back!!!
"A GREAT TIME!" On Friday, July 11, 2024, some of my family members and I went bowling at AMF Pin Palace Lanes in Huntsville, Alabama, and we had an ESPECIALLY great time. For the past several weeks, I have frequented AMC Pin Palace Lanes almost daily, because well over a month ago, I purchased a Summer Season (Bowling) Pass. This pass allows me to bowl two games daily for FREE--thru late August of 2024 (or even early September of 2024). So, I believe that was a terrific deal for my siblings and I this ye
Do you want to go bowling? I did, too, but don't go here. The grill is closed by 8pm even though the food court is open until 9 pm. No pizza, no burgers. The employee that works the food court isn't friendly, and she will let you know that. Spend your money in an atmosphere and location that respects you.
Well upon entering, the first thing I noticed was the smell of I don't know, sweaty locker or old wet carpet. It wasn't even a packed night and we both had to opt out for a smaller shoe sz because our desired sz wasn't available. Now, once on the lane, we were actually moved to another lane bc the one we was on was not so good condition. And a bit pricey as well
Great drinks, GOOD food, nice employees. And, of course, GREAT, FUN BOWLING!!! No, we aren't the best bowlers. As u can tell from my photo of the score that we do not play much at all, But it was a super fun and very affordable date night!
Food was good. Bowled at 7 for a great price and bowled 4 or 5 games. Will definitely do this again!
We were really skeptical at first since nobody was there (first time being there) but as soon as we walked in we were wowed (we live in Decatur and are used to that bowling alley?) staff were super friendly, prices were great, food was great, everything was super clean all the way down to the bathrooms, music was loud enough to hear, no missing ceiling panels and the lanes were nice! 10/10 good job amf hsv ::)))
Went on a Saturday night, liked the dark lanes. Four of us went.
Cleanest bowling alley I have been to in YEARS. Awesome staff and knowledgeable pro shop staff. Have had the best experience with these guys.
Nice place. Probably great place to go for league bowling. However, the house balls are lacking a bit. Also kinda pricey.
Had a great time. We went early enough that we had the whole place to ourselves.
Took our three kids to bowl on a Saturday. Bowling was fun, and the food was pretty good.
One of two real traditional alleys in Huntsville. While it may be a bit dated the lanes, staff, pro shop, and everything bowling related are great. Join a league and it's almost free to bowl anytime!
Great atmosphere, great food, and great prices. 10/10 would recommend
Guy told me the price per person which was about $15 & change includes game and shoe rental. Never stated the price changes after the first game. Never said whether it was hourly or not. Had to put a card ?on file? which I should have known was a red flag. Smfh. Apparently each game is more expensive. On a Saturday went from $15 per person to $23 and some change per person. Apparently the paper they give you which he circles the instructions to start the game on has the price changes but why not clarify tha
We had a bday celebration there with 13 people. We chose the package with three food options and two drink vouchers per person. The food was great and presented so nicely. Chicken tenders were my personal favorite. We really had fun!
My screen was kinda busted but it turned out alright. More expensive than I remember, granted it had been well over a decade since I had been. Guys were great though and helpful. Pretty fun! Will go again sometime.
Very nice for family and friends . Reasonable price. Clean and good snack bar service nice??
Had a great time. Kids will not stop talking about our time at the bowling alley. To my surprise, the food was fantastic. Lord willing, we will come back soon with more family.
Equipment needs major upgrade. Frequently breaking down during league play.
Enjoyed my family bowling time at this bowling alley. Service was good.
They hosted the Special Olympic students! Awesome facility!!
All of the house balls have been chewed on and are in poor shape. The lanes were oiled but they were also in poor shape. Dented and the front sticking up (separated) a bit at the foul line. The cost for things here is very high as well. 6$ for a red bull. 7$ per round per person. 6$ shoe rental. Old score keeping systems. The ball return on lane 1 will nearly take you out if you got to close when it shoots the ball out like David Beckham attacking the goal. Will try other bowling alleys in Hun
I absolutely love amf pin palace! ?? they have a great atmosphere, great food, good fun! never had a bad experience here at all.... great place to bring children, I 100% recommend amf pin palace for family fun, social fun, and also solitaire fun! pay them a visit guys!
We were walk in Lil Birthday party for my 4yo grandaughter. 4 adults 2 kids. Ordered food. Good Service, good food an drinks.
Nice people???? older buildings need more employee
We had our daughter's birthday party today and the staff was absolutely wonderful! The Manager was the first person we spoke to and he did a fabulous job of taking care of our group as well as the other bowlers in the establishment throughout our time. The food was fresh and served to us right on time. We had a blast and would absolutely recommend others to have birthday parties there as well!
Hands down the worst bowling alley I've ever been to. Chipped both my balls, a total of maybe 50 degrees inside no heat. We bowled one game and left went to another bowling alley. Honestly place shouldn't be open all around horrible experience.
The lanes are so nice! The staff is excellent and friendly! The league I've been in have become like family. Even though I haven't bowled with them for a while, I still visit because the environment is just so friendly! They work hard to provide a great environment for the whole family. Perfect for a date night, kids outting or just a fun night out with friends. They have great deals and a great summer/ school out stop!
Went on a Sunday night. Great prices and great service. Drinks were really good as well as the parmesan fries. Equipment is a little rough but I'm okay with that. Much more laid back experience than Stars and Stripes.
New in town and this is the first lane I tried. It's a nostalgic old school bowling alley that's fun for the whole family. The staff is friendly and the food and deals are good. AMF is now my go to place to bowl!
The staff were courteous, the bathrooms were clean, the snack bar was attentive and friendly and the prices were reasonable (on a Monday night). I brought my family, 11 through 23 years old, and we all had a great time.
The staff are amazing. Popcorn was good, beer was cold, and the bowling was well priced. No frills bowling alley. It was clean and well maintained. My family and I had a great time and will definitely return.
I can not speak highly enough about this place. I visited the establishment with a disabled 17 year old and they made all the accommodations we needed! We went during the day. Prices were fair, food was great and the music wasn't so loud that you couldn't talk over it without screaming. The service was the best! I would recommend!
The staff was very nice and very accommodating.
Absolute dump! The only thing good is the staff! The facility is in horrible condition. The bathroom always has unserviceable toilets/urinals or sinks. Flooring is falling apart. Vents haven't been cleaned in forever. Ceiling tiles are stained. The lanes lack proper maintenance and breakdown often. They do NOT oil the lanes properly to the point of them failing to even come close to meeting USBC standards! I've bowled in league here this year and last. I only came back because the leagues are full of good p
I visited during the deal hours after 8 on Wednesdays where it's $7 (not including shoes) for unlimited bowling. With shoes it was only about $12 and I stayed for almost 4 hours, so I got my money's worth. It was well worth it. The staff is very friendly and it was a great place to hang out with friends.
Friendly staff and clean environment
Not such much fun this time. We had lane 1 and it would not return our balls most the night then in the middle of our game the motor over heated on the ball return. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO SOME REAL MAINTENANCE AND QUIT RIGGING IT! We wanna come play not stand around and wait. Especially with the prices you charge.. ??
Service at the snack bar SUCKED! The worker left and quit just because he had orders but the Last at the front desk was so nice. She gave me and each member of my party a free game and a pizza. She was the reason. Why I continue to go there.
The best part was having fun with our friends. The lane didn't work very well as it broke during a game. It stopped working right and gave some of us false strikes. The screens were very old. Everything here is straight out of the 80s. Just a very run down place. The kitchen has a 95 health score but no one there running it....so if you're parched...you won't be getting any drinks. There was one elderly woman running the front desk. We were second in like and it took us about 10 mins to get checked in. Hunt
Very reasonable prices, we went there on a Thursday evening and it was 5 dollars for bowling until close. The staff was very friendly and helpful! I ordered a mixed drink and it was very delicious. Will definitely be bringing my friends and family back.
Very nice and clean. Purchased bowling shoes and ball. Good prices and very friendly.
Reposting here after a review 2 years ago. I want to love this place but they don't want to update anything and the prices are ridiculous. They do have specials for certain days but every time I've went on those hrs, they are completely filled with leagues and no room. How can you advertise this if there's no room. I'm so disappointed! I used to come every Sunday and bowl unlimited for 11$ but now it's almost impossible to get decent prices at decent hrs. It's a shame as this is the only true bowling alley
One of the worst bowling alleys i?ve been to. The staff are the only thing I didn't have a problem with! The condition of this facility is the main reason I came to leave this review. The bathroom always has disgusting and uncleaned toilets. Flooring and the ROOFING is falling apart. Vents seem like they haven't been cleaned in forever. Ceiling tiles are obviously stained. The lanes I were on (29/30) broke down constantly and quite often didn't return my balls. They do NOT oil the lanes properly to the poin
Good for bowling, not for anything else. Arcade is quite old and consists of about five to eight games. The bowling score monitor is also lacking in upgrade. It is also old and sometimes the computer does not detect a strike which is a depressing experience for any player. Friend and I had a strike twice in a row but was never counted. Overall, it is an okay place and price is reasonable.
My first interaction was with the manager (that I didn't know was the manager at the time). He was so sweet and helpful and was quick to give input when I asked anything. The staff were all really nice to us!
I ordered Tito?s with coke I drink half of it and took my kids to the bathroom and looked down I had a roach In my cup . Thank God I didn't drink that roach . I am sick to my stomach still . Right after that I went to front counter to talked to a man who said he was the manager named Zack . Zack told me I could get a refund I also had ordered wings and fries but after seeing that disgusting roach in my cup I didn't even want the wings and fries anymore so I asked Zach for a refund for that also . Zach told
This bowling alley has been around since i was little, probably before. The building is pretty old but its been kept up nicely. Our lane kept scoring the wrong score, usually in favor of the bowler but still, it would have been nice to be more accurate. For the most part we had a great time, regardless of the conditions
Great bowling alley!! Staff are friendly and the lanes were perfect. This bowling alley has that nostalgic charm that most bowling alleys are missing. This is ideal for anyone looking to bowl.
3 of us went on a Saturday night, around an 1hr wait after arriving at 8:30pm: We bowled 3 games and left at 10:55pm and the cost was astronomical, $72 for 3 people with shoes. The establishment is outdated and not coordinated very well as we were changing shoes after our last game, an announcement was made that they had been so busy that they had forgettin to turn the lights off and make the place cool. Initially when receiving our shoes, we had to wait while the worker sprayed Lysol in them which is fine
We had "Granny Camp" bowling as one of our activities. The guys were so helpful and so nice to the kids. We even had some fun with the other bowlers. We had 6 kids ages 5 - 9. We will do it again next year.
Had fun with the family bowling, Do the 1.5 hours, 1 hour was about 10 minutes to short, don't want to rush.
Been going here for years. It's the last of the mohicans. Went before the 9:00 special but they usually turn the lights off before then. A tad disappointed they didn't do it this time. Got my usual picture. Beer is usually good there. Other than that, hey it's a bowling alley.
Great place to bowl. The staff are always nice and helpful. The pro shop staff are great. Prices are better sometimes than others. Other than a few issues with the ball returns, most of my experience has been great.
Prices are reasonable, and staff is especially courteous! They have a decent selection of arcade games as well as an on-site bowling pro shop and a good snack bar. Great place to have lots of fun!
Way too expensive, absolutely ridiculous! You have 2-3 other bowling alleys near you that have way better deals!
Lane conditions vary considerably including grime and grit. Machines malfunction often. You don't get your money's worth, but there are few options in Huntsville. The people are nice and the pro shop is good. Update: After this week's league, I have to downgrade. The people are still wonderful, the experience is otherwise annoying at best.
Great game of bowling. The staff is friendly. The lanes are well lit and maintained. The music is set at a comfortable level. The price is reasonable compared to other facilities in the area. We Will be back.
Cashier is friendly but the other staff working with her have attitude and also she is mean to customer. We all have some days really bad but we should never show up your bad day to customer. As well as they took too much for food but when u receive food or would be little
Everytime we bowl there we have problems with the lanes, ball return, scoring; Something!!!! They need to go through and fix the problems. It's a decent bowling alley but need some upgrades. The food is good and I like that they put coffee and water out for the bowlers.
Pretty good. Night bowling effects are sweet too. However the monitors are dated.. VERY dated. So when you get a spare/strike don't expect any lively effects on the screen
The customer service was outstanding like the pro bowling shop owner was super nice & everyone was welcoming but the facility needs some updating.
Customer service was excellent.
I feel there should be a posting of League night either on the website or the Facebook page. There was no indication when a friend showed up until he entered the facility and was treated poorly by a staff member when he asked if it was a League night, which he was then spoken to in a very sarcastic manner. I was just offering feedback, but now I'm extremely hesitant to try going again.
Nice bowling alley, friendly staff. They have a pro shop, and a small eatery inside. Family friendly, our friend brought us here for our kids to bowl and have fun. I would look into ans AMF card or membership if I still bowled often. I have only been to the alleys in Decatur, Hartselle and Florence, Florence being the best, although it has been a decade since then.
Facility is run down, we couldn't even all sit down because the chairs were broken-we paid for two hours of bowling but spent most of our time trying to get our lane reset because it kept messing up and dropping random pins. Ended up having to change lanes only to be cut off by our time limit when my kids were on their last frame.
The staff was rude. It cost a fortune and they shorted us 2 frames cause we got one out of 3 games refunded but still paid for the second game and didnt get to play it all. Plus ordered food and they never brought it and had to go ask twice about it. Also took 20 mins to get my 400 dollar ball back from ball return. I will not be back here again.
Bowled in a tournament there two weeks ago. It was a little chilly in there. But felt good after we started bowling. Friendly staff. The pro shop was open also on that Sunday. He has a great deal of bowling supplies.
I enjoy bowling but I felt the prices were a little high. For one game it was over twenty bucks and that's for only two people. It's basically $5 to rent a pair of shoes and $5 to play one game. So to peoples twenty bucks. The prices were a little different but you get the idea.
They are a need of updated on their equipment... otherwise the workers where nice
Don't have nothing bad to say about them other than they had the same premix drink for a Long Island iced tea is called a Long Island mix don't be fooled by it it doesn't have the same amount of alcohol as a regular Long Island Iced Tea but they compensated by giving me something of the same value be careful y'all but the bowling was great!
The customer service was fantastic. Food was great. Every body was a pleasure to work with. My daughter had a great birthday party! Thank you so much!
If you're looking to get a bowling ball drilled up like I was go see Chris Hayes in their Pro Shop at the bowling alley. He did a hell of a job for me thanks Chris. I really appreciate it. I'll definitely be back there to see you again shortly.
Visited the bowling alley for a bowling tournament and even though the facility may be a little dated, all the machines functioned great and the staff was very friendly. Also one of the better pro shops I have been to in a long time.
Suuuuuuper expensive? 3 people, 2 shoes, and only 2 games? $54.00.. I went to Madison bowling center instead. 1.5 hours of bowling.. 7 games played total $36.00. Madison bowling center was poppin with people, AMF was dead? old lanes, not in the best part of town, and way overpriced. Will never be back to this AMF.
Went to the pro shop to get a ball drilled. My guy Chris got me fixed up! Ball felt good! U can tell he's been doin that for over 20 years! Good job, Chris!
Decent lanes, great price for when we are trying to bowl all night after a nice dinner. Quality of the shoes and bowling balls could've used some work. Overall, since Plamor lanes is closed, recommend this bowling alley!
Good people and it's getting better as a good place to bowl. They are finally updating alot of stuff. Going to pay for it though but they are a company not a mom and pop place. But it's ok. I still like this place though
This place is ridiculously bad. I've never seen bowling balls in such bad shape, and the cost for 2 adults and 2 children to play 1 GAME was over $50!!! Go to Madison, Redstone or Stars and Strikes instead.
I went there to get a bowling ball and Mr. Michael Price helped me. He is very knowledgeable and pleasant. If you need a ball he's the man
Worst place to bowl. Always one old white lady at the steak struggling to assist people. Bad customer service! We waited in line for 20 min. Finally got to the front of the line and she decides to do a 20 min refund!
Had a great time with the family. Didn't have to wait for a lane. The food is very pricey so bring enough money if you plan on snacking
Great place. American flag hanging for everyone to see. Friendly staff. Nice lanes. Terrible balls. 95% of the balls heavily damaged. Some are chipped in the finger holes leaving sharp edges.
Maryann is quite rude. It is the holidays and you should expect to have crowds and such. Customer service is lackluster at best. Not my fav. Save your time and coin for Stars and strikes.
Definitely the bargain basement of bowling alleys... Problems with equipment and a bit of a musty odor in the place. It reflects the age of the establishment with the lack of modern bowling facilities. Food options were typical throwback fried carnival selections. Subpar bowling experience and the price is evident.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
