A great place to bowl ! Staff is very friendly. They have a great snack bar with full menu. The waitress staff is very helpful and always on time. I've been bowling in the league there since September 2023. Highly recommend. !!
Love this place. Close to home, and with the Summer Pass, you bowl all Summer for $35. Can't beat it. Super friendly & helpful staff. Clean facility. Good food.
Unless you want to go to a place that's highly questionable for your safety..dont go. I went by accident for my cousin, and I had no idea what I was getting into. I will definitely live just fine...NEVER going to this establishment again. Sorry, no pics... was too busy trying to get out.. just trust me on that. Everyone, of course, has their own opinions, and this one is mine.
Never been here before and visited from oht of town. It was slightly crowded. Due to it being spring break they had no fries for any of the meals. I also order two drinks when I first got there k saw a few workers by the bar. As I continued bowiling I realized I hadn't recieved my drinks. I went over to confessions where a girl was heading to the back stopped and ask another who had just walked up if she was OK and then walked in the back. When she came back out she completely ignored me and went in the opp
Great atmosphere and kid friendly! They offer a wide list on the menu. Pizza, chicken, burgers, and tacos. You can host birthday, corporate, and social events here! Prices are not bad and they also have a small indoor arcade. You can skip lines by reserving your table online. They are hiring for a list of jobs!
I thought my gf and I found our late night spot however the last two visits were less than great. On one of those visits the ball kept getting stuck and no one cared to help. On the last visit we weren't served once but the three tables in front of us were served the whole entire night. Tried to inform the ?manager on duty? however they did not care. Will take the drive to any other AMF. I don't spend my money for bad service
Great experience I was playing alone and had the couple next to me trying to beat my score, the staff was very professional and awesome. I'll definitely be coming back to bowl some more. Didn't drop below 110 in my scores so definitely a bonus.
Couldn't get anyone to clean our table. I would understand if the place was busy but it wasn't. Any question was answered with attitude and it didn't feel like we were welcome.
We were here today 12-4-22 for a child's birthday. The staff did a great job getting the kids shoes and setting out the food for the kids. All the lanes had bumpers on them that the staff popped up so the kids could knock a few pins over. The facility looks nice inside and it's evident they keep up with the facility even stopped to use the restroom and those looked very nice. Will stop here again with my family at some point.
Amber was amazing, professional, and pleasant. They were short staffed but they worked together. We had a blast.
Nice, easy atmosphere. The staff was friendly and super helpful. Not many arcade games but still a fun spot for all.
Went there two days ago and the chili was horrible. It was definitely from a can and 3 out of my 4 friends got sick from it.
excellent place to go spend a nice family afternoon spacious clean place The only bad thing is the cashier who attended us that day, we were paying each round of game because that's how we had treated it with my friends, I paid the first and then my friends sent to pay the rest. The cashier said that she didn't have time to attend to us all the time... I'm sorry but as business owners it doesn't bother us that they even pay us with coins and she, who is an employee, got angry, that's why my 3 stars .
Hot Hot Hot...Need to work on air circulation. This is one of the warmest centers I've been to. Server was not very attentive. Would walk by several times and not acknowledge or ask if we wanted to order and food or drink. Had to track her down to place an order. Drinks took much too long after ordering as well. Dirty glasses and food dishes left on table the entire evening. Check was brought to us without asking if we needed or wanted anything else. Feel like some training might be needed.
We had a great time, it was an unlimited boowling special, the customer service was great and the garlic parm fries were good. I would definitely go back.
Had a great time. Place is clean and only issue was with the pizza. It was not that great. The waiter was excellent. Friendly and very attentive! We will come again.
Visited the AMF Bowling Alley Sat on Little Creek Rd in Norfolk. The bowling alley is very clean and spacious. We were helped at the desk by a young man named Jamar , who helped us navigate using our Groupon. We had a large group of about 9. The shoes were nice and clean and they had all sizes. He put us all together in two lanes side by side The lanes are spacious with lots of light. The floors are a little slippery so you have to be careful. The score board is very state of the arts and you can also cho
I am A kitchen supervisor, at a restaurant, I understand how it feels when this time to go home yet it shouldn't feel as if You have no customer service just because it's time to go home. I would never bring my family here again thank you thank you The people are very rude I do not recommend this place for a family experience! No Way!
This place is huge. Definitely the biggest of any of the AMFs in the area. Nice lanes, nice staff, and a comfortable atmosphere even if you're placed in lanes beside a bunch of kids. I will definitely come back when my usual AMF has a tournament going on.
Lanes were in good shape, lots of house balls available. Food was ok...service was great
Great place to bowl! Good prices, good lanes and really nice staff and has one of the prettiest girls in Norfolk working doesn't hurt. l Haven't tried the food yet but probably will on my next night I go. Would definitely recommend!!
Good vibes, good food, highly recommend.
It doesn't give Bowlro but it's cute
A good time for fun, very crowded on Saturday night. Bowling, arcade games, and pool ??
The staff is friendly, and the food is good, albeit pricey. They seem to be low on wait staff, but the gentleman who was walking around taking orders was doing a decent job handling things on his own. We did find it a bit odd that we could get a pitcher of beer, but we couldn't get a pitcher of water. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I intend to be back regularly.
I had to wait 25 minutes for my funnel cake fries. My cookie was cold and they said it comes like that and at least it's fresh. My friend waited 35 minutes for loaded fries just to not get all the toppings they have on it. They have terrible communication and they told us the longer we stare the more it looks like it's gonna take the man had told us to come back in about 10-15 minutes. The lady had yelled at us and told us to leave and to come back longer and these other people stole our fries but they weren
Editing my review here, and will fix when the issue is resolved, the website says the weekend light up bowling (we still say rock and bowl lol) starts at 9pm. We showed up with a group which would have ended up as 16 and we're told that they still have full house league bowling until 10 for the next 6 weeks. Hope to see it fixed soon! Always clean, always have friendly and quick customer service! The bartenders are right on que when you need them and the waitstaff stay on top of the game! I've been comi
Had a great time. Modern and clean. Actual prices were not clear on the website. Paid $8 per game and $6 for shoes.
I had my my son's birthday party there and it was such an amazing time! The staff was friendly and super helpful. I would do it a million times over!!
My family and myself enjoyed our time there friendly staff. Would recommend
Shoes aren't the best no grip at all on the bottom. But it was nice here definitely came back and played 6 games solo
I go here to bowl with a bowling league and I like it. It's clean and recently remodeled. There is an arcade with prizes, a pool room, a pro shop and a full bar and kitchen. It's a nice place with good people working there.
Actually Only Went For A #GenderRevealParty, But The Place Was Very Clean & The Staff Was Excellent!
it was horrible . Me and my friends had gotten cold cookies and when we went to the counter to ask for a refund the lady said ? the cookies are supposed to be like that ? . I was loosing my patience with that lady anyway because she was taking to long with the food . It took 45 min to get our food and when I got the food the lady continued to be rude when my friend asked for a refund for the cookie . Then the lady that we asked to get the bowling ball was catching an attitude when we asked . Then there were
We went there this evening for a work event. The staff was absolutely top notch! They were all kind, efficient and superb. The bowling alley was clean the food and drinks were delicious and well priced. Our server I believe her name was Julian was the best!!! We will definitely be back. Thank you for your hard work and a great night.
I went here today with my kids. The experience was wonderful. They had two workers there and they were very pleasant and helpful. They are a bit pricey but well worth it. The food wasn't bad either, the kids liked their pizza and I had the garlic fries. I'm planning to return!
Fun experience: Food was good overall, clean facility. Good adult beverages!
Great time bowling with the guys. My only complaint would be better service and better food. If there were more servers during peak times, I think it wouldn't be as bad but when it's busy, it's busy and you won't be able to order or you'll be waiting all night to order. As far as food. I sure you guys could get a better pizza recipe. The pizza is not that good. The fries were probably the best thing I had there. I'd go back only because it's close to the house and it's always competitive when the guys link
Took our 4 year old here Saturday night and he loved it! Great family environment and friendly staff! Shout out to the waitress/ worker named Savannah! She was hustling around working hard the whole night and had a smile on her face the entire time ????
One of my favorite places to hang out with friends! I love the flatbread pizza....YUMMY!
We really enjoyed our time at AMF. The online reservation system was a breeze to use and checking in was quick. The only problem I can say was the price - $100 for 4 adults/2 hrs seemed out of our reach. I guess we'll save it for a special occasion.
Racist waitress didn't bother talking to us nor serve us.
I was there with 4 special need clients. The lady and gentleman, that was working there, was very polite, professional, patient and helpful. When I was leaving, my vehicle would not start and they gave me a jump start to help me be on my way. My clients, as well as myself, really enjoyed our time there and will be returning soon. Thank you guys for all you help. Respectfully submitted, Nathaniel Dawson Compassion House Group Home
My grandchildren and I had a great time.
It is a good bowling place, family friendly only down side in my experience was our waitress was not checking in/ making sure if we needed anymore drinks/ food and the place was not packed. We had to look for her. When it was time to check out she was really hard to find took us 10 mins and other staffs wouldn't help either but overall 4 stars because maybe it was her 1st day or maybe she wasn't having a good day.
Great place for family, friends or dating night. Great staff and love the extreme lighting!! Staff rocks!!
Pretty pricy. We did a bday party there and even though it cost a lot of money. Our waitress and the staff were amazing and the food was good. We had a great time !
Old lanes but very friendly and clean
Slow service and the lanes are either way to oiled or too dry, no in-between. I also don't understand why they cram people close when the whole alley is open and well before league starts. Not the cleanest or nicest alley around but ok if you wanna stay close.
Love the vibes we create every time hit the Norfolk lanes????
Very poor customer service! My husband went yesterday to ask some info about prices. He asked two different staff personnel and they didn't want to give him info from this place also they were rude with him. We were planning to go with a group. Definitely not a place to recommend. Unfortunately for people like this is the reason why many businesses broke. Probably CEO?s aren't like this but their personnel are.
Just recently visited for my fianc? and cousins birthday the bowling overall was pretty ok place was outdated definitely needs some work but my overall service was not great my server barely came to check on my table took almost an hour for her to take our orders she did not inform us that we would have to pick our food up once the food was done so the food has just been sitting at the front getting cold and one of my guests food was taken by another customer so she had to wait an additional 30 min for her
I had an ok experience here. They weren't busy at all. If they no longer provide table service that needs to be posted somewhere. I had to go to the bar to order my drink and wings. My wings were just put on the counter to get cold. If my friend didn't suggest we go check on them then they would have been and I noticed other people's food on the counter waiting to meet the same fate.
Clean. So clean. Never been in such a clean bowling ally. The crowd was cool and the staff was super accommodating and kind. Also, no problems getting kid bumpers and a ramp set up for my three year old. That same three year old is now completely obsessed with bowling. Win-Win.
Friendly waitress and fun themes for the game scoring. Food was tasty and freshly prepared as well as the drinks. The pool tables are in some odd lighting but still make for a good game! We'll go again.
After attending the Eastern tournament here in Virginia, seeing those bowling lanes up in a Northern Town here that's the only time that I truly took a look at how different and better the service and as a service industry overall, it's just really could have been a much better experience all around every time I go there that's why I don't freaking go there anymore. My husband's so balls there I love the people and yet yeah we do take advantage of the nice atmosphere and the clean spaces, absolutely us also
This alley is awesome and was a great place to have my Retirement Ceremony !!
Went here on Tuesday for $2 bowling. What they don't tell you is that shoe rental is $4 & only tacos and watered down Long Islands are $2.12. Okay place but it smelled like old bus seats and the music wasn't loud enough to hear and it wasn't anything anyone really wanted to hear. Other than that we had fun. P.S. DO NOT let them run a tab. Pay as you go so you can keep up with the total.
Bowling was fine, but when we ordered food it took an extremely long time to deliver (especially for just wings and a drink). Still an overall good experience. Bathroom was slightly unclean, but not in terrible condition. The sauce for the wings was also not very well applied (more on the container than the wings themselves).
I haven't been bowling in decades, met friends there we all had a great time! Those of us who could bowl were happy with the lanes. The food was diverse and yummy!
Plenty of lanes, great place to have some fun, drinks are cheap and food is good. the screens and machines could be better.
Do not waste your money going here! We asked for unlimited games and it costed way more than we were told over the phone before we got there. On top of that, our ally shut off after two games and when we brought this to their attention, they said we only paid for two games. We obviously did not want to pay for another game after we already paid $80 for 4 people for what we thought was unlimited games. Lastly, it took an hour for them to make our $10 cheesy fries. The staff was not pleasant at all.
My R.O.S.E.S. had a great time and staff was very friendly.
Always good, they do have bowling leagues on certain nights but they also have open lanes as well
Great atmosphere. Awesome staff ????
We had a great time with the whole family, grandparents, kids and all! There was a little boy a couple lanes down that was only about 5 years old having an absolute blast with his Dad! Employees are friendly and the food is about the best you can get at a bowling alley! I highly recommend the parmesan garlic fries!!!
Cool place to hang. Food is ok. just be aware your food may not be brought to your table so go check on a 15 minutes rotation. Unless it's a large order then you might get a hand.
We had a very nice time... The downside was it was $10 for an order of french fries.... And $5 a game to bowl and $5 for shoes seems outrageous I love to bowl but coming out of Atlanta where it's a buck a game during the day I wish we had something like that around here.
Clean, well lit, friendly staff, and the most variety in bowling ball weights I've seen in one place! Their fries are really good, too! Our lane had a curve in it, but we didn't let that stop our fun. This summer they have $50 adult passes for daily bowling. You bet your bottom we're doing that!
Came into this center for their first PBA Regional last month and it went nothing but smooth. I attend a lot of the South regionals and I would give this center one of my top ratings out of the ones I've seen. The management was on top of everything throughout the entire event, especially Jan, who never left the lanes unattended. There was a lane problem towards the end of the event and the mechanics jumped right on it before we could even call it in. Definitely looking forward to future events here. Thank
The staff here was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We had 7 people and I wanted to set up two lanes in a league format so that we could alternate lanes. A lot of bowling alleys give me a hard time about this for open bowling, but the attendant on staff had no problem accommodating this request. She even set us up for five minutes of warm up, which I asked about, and most places would say no to that also. Conclusively, I thought the lane conditions were very good, which is more important for me as an avi
Used to bowl on leagues here. It's great that they have 60 lanes. They need to upgrade the scoring system, there are ceiling tiles missing or falling out all over the place, and the tables are old. It just needs a makeover. The staff are helpful, but I don't like the manager much. She's nice to you only if you know her.
Prices weren't too bad. They offer a decent military discount. Beers were a little bit stale and the place has seen better days but it's charming enough for a bowling alley. Food wasn't life changing but it was serviceable bowling alley food.
Love bowling here in leagues. They have so many lanes it's almost overwhelming. They have 60 lanes that all work. The drink specials and food they serve is great and I love coming here. I actually like to eat dinner here because the prices aren't too bad and the food really hits the spot.
I attended a military ceremony there. ?Nice wide open space for such an event. ?And they had discount prices for pizza & such for these types of events. ?After the ceremony folks bowled & hung out for a while. The place was clean & the service was excellent.
Great friendly people. Options for kids. All food comes from the kitchen, so not many kosher options. Seedy area, though!
I really enjoy bowling here, the staff is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, respectful and enthusiastic! The lanes are well kept and in great shape! The house bowling balls are in decent shape too for how I've seen some people throw! It's a overall good place to go bowling for a fun night out with deals going on most nights of the week it's also a good place to bowl if you are interested in league! Pro shop(Bowlers Edge) is top notch with different hours than the bowling alley, Gary is very knowledgeabl
Way too expensive. $100 dollars just for me and my husband. We ordered 2 orders of wings, small fries and nachos with one drink for it to come out to $50 dollars. Only like 5 wings come in regular. $50 for games. Messed up my husbands wings. Ridiculous prices. Go bowling on base at naval station Norfolk where they charge $7 a GAME. Nachos were cold and stale. They don't even toss the wings in the sauce you want they bring you plain wings with a tiny cup of the sauce.
The staff is rude. Had to wait for 10mins while the cashier helped people that walked up after my party. We had to place our own very large order at the caf? and the server only stopped by our area to deliver food and take an item back that was meant for another customer.
Wait staff/snack bar staff are rude. They did not acknowledge me not one time I had to speak first everytime .Never asked how may I help you. I am a a bartender and I was willing to tip well . Didnt seem as if they were interested in even being there . Front desk was good.
Loved the time there but could have been better with the employees having a little bit better customer service friendliness I realize the masks hide a smile but they don't hide rudeness cuz no matter what your eyes will smile when you smile at someone and when you go to wait on another customer you don't sit there and ignore the person standing next in line especially when there's nobody else around and you walk away put your finger up as I'll be with you in just a moment goes a long way but other than that
The experience was wonderful until a fight almost broke out. There was a lot of vulgar language being used. People were throwing the bowling ball 6 ft in the air that was really annoying. It was very loud and people were screaming to the top of their lungs like they have never been anywhere before.
Place is huge balls are a bit chewed up but had a blast keep your receipts. Very good about getting the bill straightened out if it gets skewed. Very freindly staff
Pretty good time but the pizza gives me nausea
Fun place as long as you go when they're having specials. Their regular prices to bowl just aren't worth it. And eat before you go. We ordered pizza before starting to bowl. 3 games later, still no pizza. We left.
OMGOSH DJDKDNDNDJ!!!! IT WAS SOOO FUN HERE!!! The watermelon drink so good the pizza as well and so fun. There was one guy who had a slight attitude that i didn't see the straws for the drinks but overall i had fun. Would defo come again
Great bowling alley with awesome staff. Pro shop is very knowledgeable and has some great experience with top notch customer service to boot. I recommend this house for anyone looking to get some new equipment.
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THE FRONT DESK. EMPLOYEES WHERE VERY RUDE. ALSO WHEN WE WENT TO THE CONSESSION STAND TO ORDER FOOD. THEY SAID THEY WHERE NOT TAKING ANY FOOD ORDERS THEY HAD TO PREPARE FOOD FOR PARTIES. I HAD 2 HUNGRY KIDS THAT WANTED LUNCH.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
