AMF Garden City Lanes

This place is utterly deplorable. We came at 6:30 with our babysitter and two other families to enjoy a night of bowling. They told us 30 minutes but what it really was was a 2 hour wait!! This place is run by nothing but liars and are money hungry. They tell you 30 minutes and suggest to have a drink at the bar or get some food while you wait so you can spend more money. We stopped by AMF Bowling on a rainy Saturday and the place was absolutely packed. Despite the crowd, one person stood out ? the manager, Seth. He was the only one working and somehow managed to run the entire operation by himself. This AMF Bowling is a fantastic place. I love that it has many lanes and isn't dark inside. They have Big TVs with Music Playing which made our Experience more Fun. The Alcoholic drinks weren't that great. Could had do without it.

Went on on a Sunday afternoon with a Groupon special . It was super easy to redeem at the front desk and included 2 hours of bowling with shoes included for 35 dollars . Can't beat that ! Had a event at this bowling alley, and let me tell you, the staff was FANTASTIC!!! We have a lot of picky eaters and Koshana was extremely friendly and accommodating to our needs. Tyler and Marissa was very professional and we received our food and drinks in a timely manner. Came here for a TNBA tournament. The bowling itself was great. Large parking lot. Well maintained alley. They needed more employees tho. Only one bartender and obviously not enough servers because we ordered 2 hotdogs and fries and never received them. The workers are great, the lanes are nice as well but the seating is insane. They've removed the lane seating and instead put a table with 4 chairs per lane. The tables and chairs are so close to the other lanes table that you have to either wait for the table next to you to move their chair in or completely get up in order to pass. On top of that, parties with more than 4 will take over your table and chairs. I was there last night, one person from the other lane refused to move from our table. I literall

I had a lot of fun here. My boyfriend and I came early so it wasn't very busy. There are a lot of lanes. The music was good. Didn't really care for the cocktails not boozy enough for my blood lol.

No couches to sit on which is a little awkward. It feels like you're sitting directly next to the lane next to you. but fair prices and good experience overall.

Normally, they provide a pitcher of water with cups, but this time, it was bottled water without any prior mention that it would be bottled. Haven't bowled in a while. This was lots of fun. Two hours was enough time for for of us to bowl two games. The only hitch was during the second game a family with two children interested four was placed right next to us. They let the kids wander over even during my approach. Not safe. They were also unmasked.

We purchased the summer league pass. Great option if u want something fun for the kids to do. Only thing I don't like it's the lack of communication when they have league play and you can't use your passes and they're not honored at other locations. Clean place good food.

Employees were smoking weed while working. I am 7 months pregnant and being in a place of business that allows their employees to smoke in the facility is disgusting. There was kids around also.

GC bowling lanes is the home of the best pro shop by far! Their selection of bowling balls and peripherals is fabulous! Paul is extremely knowledgeable, skilled, and seasoned in his trade and quite patient! An all-around nice guy!

The bowling lane was empty at 1st, it felt like an ETERNITY for the pins to show up, and only 3 screens turned on, and WORST of all, "the club 100" scene never showed up when we got over 100 points!

I found a Groupon for 2 hour unlimited play + shoe rentals for four people and was able to easily redeem it on a Sunday afternoon. Ordered a coke and disaronno because the banner on their TV bowling screen said it was $2. After the girl made the drink she asked for my card and when I got the receipt she charged me $20 for 2 drinks! I showed her the ad on the tv screen and she looked very confused and said "Oh thats for the shots". Then I pointed and showed her the ad. "Special Coke and Disaronno $2". She then said she couldn't do anything about that. $20 for 2 mixed drink at a bowling ally LOL what a joke. Gonna go somewhere else now.

Came here for a birthday party with 5 children and 6 adults and we had a blast. The food is great, customer service is lovely and everything is so clean. Will be back to bowl again soon!

Great place for a birthday party. The staff are attentive and helpful. The food is pretty good for both adults and kids and on a Saturday it was amazingly not busy so the kids had fun and so did the adults. Parking is plentiful but remember to get out through the back or else you get caught up in the Mexican restaurant traffic in front.

As a bowling alley, it still had the flavor of alleys I played in. I loved the old paper scoring but that is a thing of the past. Place was decent but prices were a bit high for junk food items. No breakdown on the alleys and the 6 family members enjoyed the day. Big distraction of the full screens at end of alleys but otherwise ok.

As a league bowler of over 10 years, I've seen many servers come and go. Gisele is BY FAR the best I've ever had the pleasure of ordering from. I always get my drinks faster than I expect, she always checks in and she always so SO nice. She sets the new standard for everyone else to be compared to.

Our league has moved to garden city. Great place. Service is great. Only complaint is they should expand the bar area. Our league loves to hang out and drink after bowling. There really isn't a spot in there to do that.

Pretty decent spot for bowling. Plenty of parking. Staff are super friendly. For how many people there were at the bowling alley, they only had 1 bartender and 1 bus boy working on a Saturday night. So food and drink service was slow. Also the lane we were on for some reason one pin would always fall over when reseting for the next bowler. Other than that a pretty nice place to have fun.

Held an event here with some co-workers and I have to say from start to finish it was a great experience. Brianna Griffin was the best host ever. From our arrival she was attentive making us feel welcome as well as during the event. Definitely worth hosting a bowling event here.

Honestly not a place I would recommend. The leaves are horrible. They are never oiled. When you tell the front desk of the issues, they just don't care. More than the lanes being horrible especially if you go there to practice for a league, the management does not care to make this better. Highly not recommended

Such an unpleasant experience, the woman who works at the check-in counter really shouldn't be dealing with customers, her attitude is unwarranted and completely unprofessional as she extremely rude to customers. I had to approach the desk multiple times to reset the player amounts as she was less than helpful. Additionally we had a spill near our lane and had to clean it up ourselves with a mop. The entire staff needs an intense training on customer service.

A nice place to come with family or friends to have a fun night out. Good place if you have a large crowd and are looking for an activity to do. Staff is friendly and patient. If you order food the server comes to your table to take your order and then drop it off. I dont recommend the pizza though, it has a weird taste. The guy shut down the lane mid game, then lied and said they don't have the power to turn off lanes. I've been here a bunch of times, guy was full of it. It's also 100 degrees in there. You're lucky if you get your ball back from the return half the time. Go somewhere else to bowl that's worth it.

Great professional grade bowling lanes and decent food options. Parking can be a bit tricky but it all works. The only reason I would not give 5 stars is because they recently changed the seating arrangement to what seems like a downgrade rather than an upgrade to me. There are now tables and chairs strewn across the floor and it makes it more difficult to gain access to the lanes when you have a large group of players. AMF needs to sort this out quickly.

Good service, family friendly area but when attempted to order a tower beer but they were out and was offered three pitcher instead for the same price. Their three pitcher is less then the tower. When we called for the bill the same server charged us for double the price for the actual three pitches. Not the garden city lanes I remember from the early/mid 90's. The Lanes now are just par for my liking. It's great if you're just a family night/first date out bowler.

Nice enough house but a few concerns. I think the lane walkups were shortened a bit. Also was given a lane by one of those stupid punching bag games, where young knuckleheads make a lot of noise.
