Hadn't been here in years. We all had a great time. Would definitely recommend. Had a updated arcade and snack bar. Prices were reasonable. Staff was helpful. All the good parts of a classic bowling alley.
AMF Bowling offers a great bowling experience with 32 well maintained lanes, each equipped with a scoring TV. Many lanes feature additional screens showing sports or movies. AMF includes a bar with a large projector for sporting events and snacks that satisfy but don't expect any gourmet , remember it a bowling ally. They also have an arcade for extra fun. They have lockers to keep personal belongings safe, you just need to bring your own lock. The on-site pro shop is convenient for those more avid bowlers.
This is my family's favorite spot to be so far this summer. The family doesn't nor.ally get together, but their summer passes were too good to pass up. Its gotten everyone to come together once a week minimum and get us all connecting again! The people that work there are really great. They are kind and always willing to help. When I inevitably have an issue with the pins or a ball not going where it's supposed to, I just push the call button on the machine thing and they help immediately! I bowl at a lot
Fred and I came here for a bowling tournament, we had so much fun! Great drinks on tap and more. Their ranch bacon fries were outstanding! The lanes were oiled and smooth. And super clean amenities. We will be back for more bowling!
Great place to have a family fun day they are amazing here as well as accommodating. Loved the experience and customer service.
Tournament was ran excellent today. Isaac made sure it was ran smoothly
Came here with the kids to have an afternoon of fun. Took the lady a good 5 minutes to even realize we were there. She was ?busy talking? to a guy standing there. Was told it was $10 a game and $5 for shoes. We were a party of 6, so $90 for one game. We left and went to north gate, where we paid $60, shoe rental included and bowled for 2 hours straight, which was almost 4 games. The staff was amazing at north gate. I will never come back to the AMF LANES.
Fun place to bring friends and family, and the customer services are fantabulos The bartender is very nice and friendly. I really like this place
Nice place! Incredibly expensive if I hadn't had a coupon.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience provided, we will be returning customers henceforth.
There are not many places to go bowling anymore, so this one fills up quickly, but has arcade room, food, lounge
Awesome spot for some good ol? fashion bowling. Erik the manager there is great!
I like the place but they close early when ever they feel like it. the bar and eatery too. Bad business practice do not honor your hours that you post that you are open or closed and then not honor it.
Pretty pricey,no mid century bowling alley ambiance, don't know about the service, didn't stick around
Love AMF my whole family enjoys because it's such a great place to be. Kid friendly and adult friendly too
My wife and I went to bowl a few games. Apparently you have to come around 9pm if you're not part of the league. Also if you're not part of the league you get treated like a nuisance by the lady at the bar. Her attitude was as if she was doing us a favor by pouring our over priced shots. The bathrooms were clean though that's the only reason I'm giving 3 stars instead of 2. Really bad attitude even after I tipped her.
Nice place to bowl I was there for a tournament, house has 30 lanes, a good selection of food, and a nice sports bar.
I absolutely love this house! The atmosphere is calm, inviting, and the staff is the same! This is the second tourney i bowled here over the last few months, and I love this place. The lanes are good and the other bowlers are amazing, friendly, and just amazing to be around!
This place is a joke gave me defective shoes.
This bowling alley is EXACTLY the vibe I want from a bowling alley. The whole thing is precisely like lanes in the 90s. Has a lounge and an arcade, which is vital. The smell brings back so many memories. Never change firebird lanes.
Worst place I have ever experienced! Went in to ask about bowling for my child in a wheelchair was told that the guy working from his mouth said and I quote ? I'm not asking these people to move just so you can get a wheelchair down to the lane You will have to come back another day when we're not so busy!? Discrimination at its finest!
Love bowling here and the cauliflower bites are insane good? but for the love of God, please get air conditioning!! ??
Great experience! The young guys a at counter were informative and professional, helpful and kind on a friday night!!
Had a blast. Paid for an hour and feel like I got my money's worth.
Got charged for 4 games when I played 1 workers sketchy too.
We bring the families here a couple times a year for kids birthdays. They always take good care of us, both on the lanes and at the food counter. And this last visit, the wings and cauliflower bites were AMAZING! The batter is crispy and flavorful, definitely recommend!
They do not have baby changing stations in the men's restroom so if you're a single father I recommend another establishment if you have a baby.
Absolutely ridiculous price! We went there assuming it was $5 per game, but it was instead $5 per game per person. Do not come here if you plan to pay for a party of people, and want to play 2 games or more. We spent $80 on 2 games for 5 people. Not to mention, I put 50cents in a candy machine and it only gave me one candy. We will not be returning. Northgate bowling is a much cheaper option. UPDATE: BURNT TWICE. WE FORGOT! We wanted to have a good valentines day then ended up spending $80 for 3 games for
This is a fair bowling alley, friendly staff, and updated keyboards for the score screens. The pizza is good. Cheesy decent amount of toppings, crust is light and crunchy. I visited the lounge and the bar tender was friendly and prices were fair. The place itself is fairly clean and plenty of ball selections by weight and size.
First off 10 dollars a game was rediculas, food and drink expensive, no atm.
It was a horrible experience. I took a group of students and the attendant was the rudest and grumpiest man ever! He shut down the game for one of the students for no reason, he would not respond to nice communication. He was yelling at us and pretty much told us to leave and never come back. All the kids who were bowling payed and half of them paid for unlimited and we just played one game. I would dare to say that he was racist and could not show good manners at all. If I was the owner, I would fire him.
It wasn't busy when we went but this place is large and pretty nice.
Very nice place, I asked if anything was gluten free and they said the Avalanche Nachos. They cleaned the work area, changed gloves and made a delicious plate of tasty nachos. Enjoyed the small arcade.
$100 for 4 people for 1.5 hours of bowling?! Customer service was subpar, no A/C, we ended up walking out after we were told ?well it'll be $105 or you can go somewhere else?. We did just that, went to Northgate and had a blast for under $50 for 4 people for 2.5 hours!
I took my family over here to bowl and the experience was not the greatest. The guy behind the counter was grumpy at best. The cost of $40 for three people to bowl wasn't as bad as this guys personality. When I saw the lane he put us there were 4 people that were using up the whole area. There is a table that I guess was to be shared between the two lanes but that wasn't the case. I asked the guy if we could more to another lane, as half the lanes were empty and I wouldn't have thought that would have b
My kid and his teenage friends went on Sunday to utilize the Sunday Funday special for $16.99 unlimited games at 6pm. Because their group didn't state that's what they wanted to do no one at the front desk explained or offered any information about the special. They waited until they played their games and then charged them $30 each for 3 games. These kids felt taken advantage of and confused. Disappointing. Do better.
Fun place to take the kiddos. I *do* think it's overpriced, but sometimes they have coupons on Groupon. Clean, most of the staff are hard working and very nice, and they even have a small arcade. If they brought the prices down a little we would go way more often!
We reserved whole place for work Christmas Party, it was great experience and a blast!!!
Very nice management! We went here as a group of 5. None of us were avid bowlers and I hadn't been since my teens, which would be over 50 years ago! We had help as needed and really enjoyed ourselves. The employees were very helpful and patient. I hope to go again soon.
Bought a package on groupon, got here at 5pm. Told the guy st the desk I had a groupon, but the kids were gonna play the arcade 1st. No problem. 6:10 try to check in for bowling. Sorry, can't use a groupon after 6pm. HORRIBLE customer service from all 3 standing around doing nothing employees. Since I'm here with kids, I get to go ahead and pay again. What a joke. 0 stars if it was an option. Also, the arcade SUCKS.
Very inviting atmosphere I would advise calling ahead prior to just doing a pop-up as they do have different tournaments during the weekday beginning evening hours anytime after 5:00 p.m..... As for our overall experience as far as bowling is concerned well that will have to be another review.
Staff is 5 stars but for 300 dollars for 7 people for 2 hours I'm unimpressed. Still fun tho ??
Bowled a tournament here, and the lanes held up very well under very warm weather. The only suggestion is to put a ceiling fan next to lanes 1 and 2. It was especially warm in that area.
A bit overpriced, but there are lots of Groupons available right now that make it a great price. The customer service is great, but the place is slightly run down and the machines don't work well. We had to ask for help multiple times because our screen froze and ended up moving to a different lane. We still had a great time and appreciated the quick help from staff. The place was clean and the food was pretty good as well.
Had a good time but minus one star for not having the ingredients in the bar to make a white russian. I mean c'mon Dude. Really?
I went with April to watch Jake play for his tournament
Had a great time for my surprise birthday party!
Employees are super nice, great place to do some fun family games. I was disappointed in my pro shop experience. The pro shop guy was very unprofessional. Arrived for my scheduled appointment and the pro shop was both locked and lights turned off. I waited an extra 30 min, turns out he was just catching some Zzzz. Middle of the day, with league and a busy bowling alley, why is the pro shop closed? I shouldn't have to schedule an appointment everytime. Its a pro shop? And when I do have an appointment, be th
Bring a sweat towel because there is no AC and it is very warm inside there. Over priced arcade games, overpriced bowling prices, poorly made drinks and seems really dirty on everything that you touch. It is easily noticeable that there is a lack of care on management. I did enjoy the garlic Fry's though.
The atmosphere was fun and engaging. Food was excellent. Service was excellent. Everything was clean with the exception of the mens restroom. No , I did not go into the mens restroom. But the 5 males in my party did. Disgusting is the way it was described to me. So gross they washed hands twice. Door on stall didn't latch either. Women's bathroom wasn't aweful. I would easily have given this family fun experience 5 stars if the bathroom had been clean. Prices are reasonable given the activity.
The kids and I had a lot of fun! Their bumpers can't go up and down like other places we've been to so if one person needs bumpers than every person has to use them ??.... The poor kitchen staff is way overwhelmed. They only had one kitchen staff and it was fairly busy. The food was WOW really good! I was pleasantly surprised by their Parmesan garlic fries!! Even the fries at the bottom that were soaked in the butter was still crispy. SOOO good.
Bowling was fun and not expensive! They have a full bar and 2 large protector screens for football!
We had a blast. However, we arrived at 2 pm on a Saturday, and the lounge was closed until 5 pm. So we had to settle for sodas instead. No biggie really, 7 sodas (20 oz) were almost $30, our bowling was over $70. So, 2 hours of fun cost us slightly more than $100. Which works out to about $15 per person for the 2 hours we were there. Not bad at all, and like I said, we had fun.
Highly disappointed In this establishment. I took my 2 kids and a friend with me to go bowling being a single parent I can't afford to do activitys like this often. I seen on the website there's a deal buy 2 games get 1 free and that deal came with a $5 game card, when I showed the guy the website he completely ignored me and said "this is the deal" I got 3 games and a $10 game card for each person and paid nearly a whopping $115. Will never return here AND again highly disappointed in this business ethic.
Great little bowling alley with games and drinks. Nice night to hang with the boys.
Excellent staff! We really enjoyed the evening ??
Great bowling alley. We gave the summer bowling pass, so have spent a bit of time there this summer. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The only complaints would be that the lanes occasionally score incorrectly, and it can get pretty warm. These are minor issues and don't really detract from the enjoyment. Nice new computers for scoring. Adds a little to the experience.
Went for a family night out. 6 people 180.00 for 3 lousy games, terrible food, terrible drinks, rude service and my credit card was charged for transactions I didn't approve! This place has obviously jacked up their prices because they are in the verge of going out of business! Go to Keizer!
Had a blast!! Very friendly staff.
100 degrees outside and 105 inside. NO AC. AMF is a huge national corporation but cant be bothered to invest back in their bowling centers. Support local alleys and take your business elsewhere.
It was our first time at AMF and we enjoyed it very much. They are renovating and updating the while alley. Prices were great $2.40 per person per game plus shoe rental. It was a Sunday morning and we had good service. Prices do go up a bit at 1pm on Sunday so go early. Could have a better selection of bowling balls but other than that nice place to have fun for a few hours!!
I really wanted to like this place, BUT as soon as I pulled up it looked like a horror movie in the making. super outdated and the bathrooms were really gross, and rusty. Once we got to our lane we had to walk around looking for bowling balls for our family (2, 6 years olds and 4 adults) bowling went great. we then took a brake for some food but since it was passed 9pm lots of the food items where no longer available and it was pretty pricey ($57)for how horrible the food was we ordered nachos and the toppi
Great family experience!! Well worth the money!
Horrible. Went on a double date here with my husband and friends and we were told that the price would be much less than it actually was. Not only did we pay a ridiculous price for dirty, sticky equipment; there was no sanitation available. To top it all off, the lady behind the front desk with purple hair was EXTREMELY rude. She snapped at us, was extremely dismissive, and made condescending comments. We were all disgusted and horrified by our experience. will not be returning. When I called to speak to a
Love to bowl here with friends and family
Had lots of fun for our Daughters birthday party ??
An updated facility with great, friendly staff that take time with all patrons. Plus an awesome summer special.
For being in North East Salem, it is not budget friendly at all. $22 PER PERSON (not per lane). and another $6 for shoe rental! absolutely ridiculous. If you're thinking of trying it out, DONT. You're better off going to The REC. They charge per lane $25 and $4 per shoe rental. So much nicer too oh also, their ARCADE IS INSANELY EXPENSIVE. $3 for one race on the motorcycle, $4 for one round of basketball. Might as well save that money and hit Wunderland before or after because their prices are 30 CENTS/per
Had my grandson's birthday party there, it was perfect. Bowling, food, arcade video games, there was a bar for the adults with video poker, TV screens showing football games. It was cleaning there, the bathrooms were clean, the staff was great, all around it was a great time.
Place was great, still has that authentic starry lanes feel to it. Husband said it hasn't changed much in 30 years!!! Little on the spendy side as time has gone on but definitely a great once in a while activity to do. Staff was was nice and friendly, tunes were alright new pop radio hits etc. Beer is good, little kid trunks and bumpers always a hit!
We played 2 games and the wife ,son and I all 3 really enjoyed ourselves. The place was clean and everyone was being respectful and courtious. The prices were average for today's cost.
My family had a good experience here. Everything was in working order. The food was good (french fries were awesome and the nachos were ok). The music selection was also nice. Lots of parking. The facility is set back really far from the street so it might not be easy to notice if you've never been there.
Family friendly, as well as, adult friendly with a bar/lounge area, beer/wine/mixed drinks, tables right by the lanes, staff is knowledgeable, and friendly. Kid friendly with bolling balls in 10lb increments, video games, and their food menu looked great! Establishment is very clean.
Was a fun, entertaining time. Met some total strangers and had a blast. Eric, who was working the front counter, was pleasant and professional.
I had a good time there & the food was good. 2 of the games in the game room were totally broken and I should have gone to the front desk for a refund but did not. I was in shock when I checked out to see the bill for over $100. There was just my wife and I with 2 kids, we each bowled 2 strings and had a bite to eat. Conclusion, don't go there hungry or thirsty.
They normally are a 5 star business but tonight they deserve -5... I walk into the bar and get told they're closed... Go sit back down and can clearly see a girl have a full drink down it and then go back not once but twice... Now he's flirting and making out with her and a child in the "closed" bar
I was reading through some well a lot of the reviews. My experience tonight was very good. Staff was very nice and we had a good time....I do absolutely agree that this place is very very expensive which is kind of a surprise considering the location. We did not finish a full game of bowling because my son preferred punching the punching thing (and he did awesome for a 12yrs old ) at first the CSR was charging us full price until I pointed out that we did not play a full game he looked at our lane and d
Absolute worst experience I have ever had. Prices are way too high, but to top it off the staff is horrible and extremely rude. We ordered drinks from an extremely rude bar tender but apologized after and tried to carry on with the night. As the night goes on Their attitude was unacceptable. We simply went there for a fun birthday night, bought drinks and two games. As we stood In line, one by one to pay our bills, we finished and went to play air hockey. After the air hockey they said we still owed money
Took my kids here for Veteran's Day. The gentleman who was working that day was extremely friendly and professional, made my kids laugh and made sure we had a good time. I had my 6 yr and 5yr old, he put us on the lanes opposite from the crowd and I was able to spend a couple of hours with my kids not having to worry about what was around us. The entire building was clean, even the restrooms, they had bowling balls light enough for my kids and the shoes didn't look like (or smell) like they spent their life
Recently had a great time celebrating My Daughters birthday with friends and family. Thank you to the staff that night who made it fun. ?? We will be visiting again.
Visiting family from another state. Went to buy a drink and the bartender told me my ID was a fake and was denied service. Completely ignored me and then cussed my boyfriend and I out. Horrible customer service and completely rude. My ID is the new real ID that the government is requiring everyone to get. I would highly not recommend the service here
I have been to a few bowling alleys over the years. I'm not a professional, but I do have my own equipment. I went here with a few family members and had a great time. I immediately noticed that this alley was by far the most professional looking I've ever been to. The prices were very high though. It didn't seem to be boasting an arcade or karaoke bar (even though they might have them); I don't really know. It seemed like it was very focused on bowling... Awesome! The lanes were well-kept and the machine d
Took the family bowling on a Tuesday for their advertised $2.88 Tuesday special only to realize it was an error on their end. Kids were pretty excited so we bowled anyways. Paid nearly $60 for 2 games for 3 people, way too expensive!! On this same day, we were told about their Wednesday unlimited bowling after 8pm for $15ish a person, shoes included. The next day, we waited all day and arrived at 7:45pm. When I checked in, the very first thing I was told was that there were no lanes available for the rest
I don't remember it being this expensive? ridiculous compared to other alleys. Arcade games are literally $3 just for a single race on the motorcycles when you can go to Wunderland and race for 25?-50?!!! And same with everything else ! Not worth spending money here. Bowling balls were nasty too
Great lanes! Nothing to worry about. Staff rocks!!! Love bowling here, make sure u call ahead in case a league or tournament is going on. Usually you can still get a lane here even when they have the events happening tho. Prices are fair for what you get(:
Fun. Busy. Expensive, unless you go on Tuesday.
Do NOT give them your email address in order to get the discount they promise. They take your email address and then their website says the promo code is outdated. It's a scam. Don't give them your email address.
Absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. Right off the bat when myself and 3 other people in my party enter the lounge area, the older lady with short hair says to herself "Oh my God." I ask for a pitcher and before I can even finish my sentence they cut me off and tell me 2 people have to be here with their ID to order a pitcher. Great, I've got 3 people standing next to me. Long story short, you can't get a word in edgewise because they already know everything. They also apparently like to
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
