The staff are truly wonderful here. The facilities are great and the lanes are always well maintained. I play in a Monday night league and without fail we always start on time and the lanes are well prepared. It's a great atmosphere even when not playing in a league. Highly recommend this AMF.
I hadn't bowled my whole life except for the occasional birthday party, but last summer I was looking for a new hobby and decided to try bowling. I was warmly welcomed by Jeremy and Liz on day 1 and felt very much at home. I joined my first league about a month later and it has been a great experience! We just wrapped up my fall league and I've already registered for the spring/summer league. If you've never bowled in a league you should try it... Everyone is so supportive regardless of your skill level (wh
Just had my stepsons birthday party there, awesome time. Pretty good price for 2 hours of bowling, tons of food and arcade cards. Manager came over and asked the boys, "What can I do better?" Super friendly and helpful, even when super busy during a tournament on a Saturday. Cannot recommend enough!
Had an awesome time here in May! I mean to write this review earlier by my brain forgot. the facility was clean and taken care of! The bathrooms were clean and the lanes were shiny and the management friendly. The pizza and wings were good too. I will continue to bring my family here for quality time.
My daughter?s first time bowling, what a fantastic spot! It was so easy to make a reservation. The manager met us at the front and helped with everything thru the time we were there. The food was so good and the dinosaur bumps helped the kids to bowl. The bartender was so kind and funny! The staff were great and made the experience even better. Can't wait to go back. Thank you!
We had a great night bowling at AMF this evening! We joined other families as a way for our kids to spend some time together outside of practice. Check in was quick and help to put up the bumpers for the kids was easy to find. The kids had a great time socializing and said it was "the best practice ever". The whole facility was clean, the food was great and we look forward to bowling at AMF again soon. Thank you AMF!
I have been bowling in a league at Fairview for 4 years now. It has been a great place to improve my skills and make new friends. The staff is very friendly. The food and beverage selections are varied and delicious. Come join a league. It's a great hobby.
Fabulous place to bowl with friends or family! Always welcomed by the friendly staff! I've been bowling here for five years and truly enjoy it! I really recommend joining a league or stopping in for a quick game or two! Happy bowling! ??????
Always a friendly and helpful employees. Welcoming and a great time. The bar and food is always tasty and fresh. Lynn the bar tender always says hello every time I see him. A great alley hands down.
I have been in a league here at AMF Fairview for 4 years now, and couldn't think of a bad thing to say. From management level like Jeremy & Lizz, to all the bartenders, and the maintenance team included everyone works tirelessly to ensure everyone has an enjoyable and quality experience. #1 place to bowl in Rochester would give 10 stars if possible.
Cannot emphasize enough how amazing and accommodating the new management is here. Always super helpful at squeezing you in on a lane for a quick game or awesome planners for your next birthday party. Liz and Jeremy are superstars!
As our bowling leagues wrap up, we can't help but reflect on another incredible year at this awesome facility. We've joined several leagues and attended countless birthday parties throughout the year, and let me tell you, the service is always top-notch. Jeremy and his team are the real MVPs - they keep the place spotless, cater to every need, and make you feel like family. We're already looking forward to the next season with them!
Staff members were pleasant, lots of cosmetic changes over the last few years. But it was slow, and crowded at each lane, and the bathrooms have no doors on them, so many of the lanes on the right side had to smell someone's repetitive "number 2's" from the ladies room, and we were right in front of it for 2 hours. It was extremely off putting and in the end, not worth the crazy overpriced cost for bowling these days.
Lizz is a drama queen, the place is out dated, old cracked shoes, and the guy who cooked at night had to do lizz's job because she's too lazy. Thank for the 3 yrs alcohol distribution certificate, I'm already using it at my new part time job ??
Fairview is a nice and clean venue it has been recently updated with equipment and decor. Liz and Jeremy make league nights fun. I highly recommend joining a league to make new friends and start a great hobby. I also bowel in 2 League in the fall, and 1 league in the summer. David Muratore
Great place for family fun! There is also an arcade and bar for age variation fun. 24 lanes and helpful dinosaur ramps for the younger kids or anyone who needs assistance. Bumpers are an option on every lane and reserving a lane ahead of time is super easy and convenient. Reservations on weekends include $60 for food, lane rental and shoes.
Great place for family fun! Love bringing my grand kids here! Food is amazing. Jeremy, Lizz and all the staff do an incredible job. Highly recommend!
I am a league bowler at this establishment. During this league season, I was impressed by the quality of the staff working and the attentiveness that they have. I hope for nothing but the best for these wonderful people.
All staff(manager, front desk Lizz, bar staff, concession staff at Fairview Lanes Fairport NY are terrific. They work very hard to ensure bowling experience in the 2 leagues I am in, run smoothly and are fun! Thank you very much!
Huge shout out to Jeremy, Liz and crew for doing a great job running Fairview Lanes! The hall is always clean, and the service is awesome ... keep up the good work!
Liz is the best worker I've ever met at a bowling alley. Most of reason being how nice she is to EVERYONE.Me and my family go bowling there at least once a week.Keep up the great work Liz and your actions do matter ?? Ps all the other workers are great too.
I've been coming here for a long time and it's a great place to bowl! Has amazing food, arcade, and the staff are awesome! I highly recommend bowling here.
Fairview Lanes is our home away from home. Amongst my wife, my two sons, and myself, very few days go by where someone in our family isn't at the lanes. All four of us bowl in leagues year round, and thanks to Fairview?s commitment to the junior program and the Fairport High School team, both of my sons have embraced bowling as their sport for life and my younger son will likely go on to bowl in college. We have been through several staffing shakeups and a few years ago we often felt lost in the shuffle not
We just had a birthday party at this location and we were beyond happy with everything about the event. From the booking/pricing and communication to the staff and service we received day of, it could not have been better. All the kids had a blast and we will absolutely do this again. The manager, Jeremy, was so kind and on top of everything we needed and the kitchen staff member (I forgot his name, I'm sorry!) was so efficient in feeding our large group of hungry kids. The food was delicious. 10/10 Highly
Friendly staff. Clean and updated facility. Great food and prices. We really enjoyed ourselves lastnite!!
Went to the lanes for a day with the fam and Jeremy was the man. Super helpful and had a great attitude. Will definitely go back again because of this!
Sweet spot, 24 lanes family vibes
Great first experience, the kids had a lot of fun, not only at the bowling but with the arcades too. Booking in advance is very convenient (and recommended). We will be back
13th Bowling Birthday Party!!! We had the best time Staff was amazing!!!
Staff is friendly, and renovations have been an improvement. Alcohol prices are rediculously high. The overall setup for the lane area is poor, way too crowded unless it is half empty.
Nice spot for a shot of bowling ?? friendly service and some nice carpets and disco balls. Video games entertain you and the kids
These lanes are kept up. The atmosphere is great! This would be my go to for bowling.
We had one of the best nights! Thank you to Jeremy for your hospitality ??
Food was good. Lanes were nice and updated score boards
Staff is always extremely helpful and kind. They always go out of their way to help. Plus, bathrooms are always clean and they have awesome drink specials. Food is great too. They love their community..
Tiny bowling alley that never has lanes outside of weekly leagues. Have gone in multiple days and have been turned away or have had to have time cut short as they only have lanes about an hour before they close.
From booking the party to its conclusion, I was so impressed with how friendly, helpful and welcoming the staff was at AMF bowling in Fairport. The establishment is clean, the food is great and the vibes are amazing! My kids and their friends had a ball!!. A special shout out to Bianca in booking, Manager Jeremy and employee Lizzie!! You all are phenomenal ?? Thank you!
From the friendly warm happy welcoming staff at check in to the kind hardworking staff in the kitchen providing great fresh delicious food, you are Very much appreciated. :) Again thank You ALL at fairview lanes in fairport. You all Rock! Had a fun family night!
After trying basically every bowling area in the county, I'd say this is my pick for the nicest alley. It's incredibly clean, the layout is fantastic (the overhead fans are a godsend), the bar is very fully stocked, and they have a great selection of just the right foods for the bowling alley environment. It's a tad pricey but if you go regularly as a more serious bowler or in a league its very reasonable. I grew up bowling on real wood lanes so I'm usually very adverse to synthetic lanes, but I don't know
Love it there. Might seriously join a league with my buddy there!
Booked an event here for NYE with family. It was so well run, they had a swag bag waiting for us with New Years celebration stuff which we loved.Tables were set and ready. Check in was so easy as was getting shoes. They brought out food staggered and in with good timing for our 2 hour block (plenty of time to enjoy and early enough that we weren't starving). The lanes and balls are in good condition, everything was clean. Staff was super nice. We loved the fake countdown during our 2:30 blocked time, it was
Staff here is absolutely fantastic. They've taken the time to make sure that I get good quality service and made sure that I had a fun time while I was here. A beer and food is great.
We love going here! It's kid-friendly during the day! It's always great fun! Very clean.
One of my favorite bowling places in Rochester. Super friendly staff, good food and a good bowling experience. I had made a mistake when making a food order, but without any hesitation they made me a new one and did not charge me for that. Would definitely recommend and will be back again.
Just had a birthday get together for my kids at Fairview Lanes. The manager and staff were absolutely phenomenal. Everything was on point. Highly recommend!
Dark and a little run down but that's the best thing. Bowling Alley can be. I've had fun at this place for literally decades.
Very busy saturday afternoon. Although very short staffed, the manager and front clerk were awesome! They did an awesome job and provided excellent service! They all should be praised by their corporate office for the amazing effort they put in daily! Thank you for giving my family an enjoyable experience.
My friends and I always have a great time when we go and the staff are super nice.
My Grandson and I had a wonderful time bowling ??, lanes were nice and the wings were awesome, will come again next time in area
Bowling ally is on the smaller side, but other than that it's a great atmosphere. Staff was really nice, and the manager working that night deserves a raise for sure! Food was good. Bar was closed but was able to get drinks through the front desk.
We are at this bowling alley on a weekly basis and I must say it is one of friendliest and cleanest! The staff is friendly and always gets you what you need. The staff is quick and frequently checks in on you. They clean everything... the balls, the ball return, the scoring table, chairs, tables, etc. The bathrooms are clean and you never have to worry about the toilet paper being empty. Thank you for making our bowling experiences awesome!!
My daughter loves b owling at Fairview lanes. We spend a lot of time in bowling centers and the staff here is always welcoming and helpful. Regardless if we are there for open bowiling, league play or a tournament, I always expect great service and a clean center.
My rating is solely based on the treatment I received from the MANAGER for the entire 2 hours my family bowled this past Saturday. We were greeted by him already overwhelmed (they had only been opened for 30 minutes), being very impolite and quick, huffing and puffing in between payment and conversation. Then I ordered my family food ($67 for pizza and soda) and my friend was going to order a pretzel afterwards?.he came charging over to us, interrupting the girl at the counter, Informing us that the birthd
I mean, it's fine. If I could give 3.5 stars I would. They get the core part right - the bowling experience is good. The little arcade is nice too. Do NOT go here without getting the Groupon first. It's insanely expensive without it. It's so absurd. I don't know why they choose to run their business this way. Maybe just try charging your customers fairly without forcing them to jump through hoops? Don't call them and expect anyone to answer the phone. They don't do that.
had a double 8th birthday party there with like 40 people (mostly hyper children). it could have been a disaster but the staff members were wonderful. efficient, helpful, accommodating, kind and hard-working. everyone there deserves a raise.
Great service. My boyfriend and I went here for one of his tournaments last week and the employees made sure everyone was doing okay. Made sure that the younger ones understand how to continue on to the next game. Overall had a amazing time. Food is also good!
Lanes are good. Wood I think and oiled appropriately. Scoring system is up to date. Bar, food and arcade make it a good place for entertainment in general. The season pass is an excellent value if you bowl at least once per week. Overall one of the better bowling establishments in the area for both avid bowlers and amateurs looking for some fun.
Me and my kids had fun, but cost about 100 dollars for 3 games for myself and 2 kids. I also did not like that I had to decide how many total games I wanted to play and pay up front. Sometimes I am not sure if I will play 1 game or 5. Most places allow pay as you go. I thought it was odd how they made me decide the exact amount of games to pay for beforehand.
What a great gem of a place for family fun, right down the street from us. We came in today for open bowl with our 6 year old+twin 5 year olds. They had plenty of lanes open, shoe sizes for everyone, and it was SO clean! I even saw the attendants vacuuming and wiping down tables right after a group left. My girls especially loved the dinosaur ramp to help them get their ball down the lane. Everyone we dealt with was so friendly. We will definitely be back!
We recently went here to celebrate a birthday. We went early in the day on Saturday, and it wasn't very busy right at opening. Everyone was very well distanced, there were plexiglass partitions, and everyone was wearing a mask. We felt relatively secure to be there. The biggest highlight of the day definitely had to be Thomas, the "shift leader". He was fun, personable, and as helpful as could be. He even hopped back into the kitchen to make us some pizza when the cook didn't show up on time. He made us
The people who work here are super friendly and helpful. And the pizza and fries were really good. The interior is clean and has a good atmosphere for a party with lots of lights and music videos.
Valerie the manager is very kind and welcoming. My kids had the summer pass the past two summers and she was so great to them. She is working tirelessly to keep the place clean during the pandemic!
Called to find out pricing and times of open bowling and they picked up the call then hung up. Tried a second time and they didn't pick up at all. A quick simple I will be right with you would have worked wonders. Guess I'm taking my business to Bowl a roll where they treat you kindly.
Regular bowling ally. I'd say pretty clean. The waitress bringing drinks was very attentive. Had to switch lanes, and they both acted a bit funny, but that just kind of happened. Crowd was normal and people kept to themselves.
I bowl in a league, everything is clean and tidy. Fair prices, good lane conditions, the occasional ?disco? time with colorful lights and music is a great experience, and I have been enjoying my home alley since I could walk (I'm currently 14). I would recommend this to anybody who wants to bowl recreationally or seriously. Staff are very helpful and cheerful and always willing to stop what they are doing to help you.
When did bowling get so expensive? Bumpers are either up for everyone or down for everyone, keep in mind when going with the family. Good service was slow.
Front desk ppl was not friendly. We had 7 ppl there only 4 bowling for my grandson Birthday we were allowed 4 chairs but yet the group next to us had extra chairs from another table nothing was said until we said it to the worker that was wiping tables down. We did have a nice friendly server with our food and drinks. However I will never go there again. My grandson is in a bowling league at the one in Webster
Lanes are great. Ceiling fan above us fell and was hanging by its wires. Food counter smelled great. Fries and wings took 45 mins. We had to cancel. Great place needs more people.
Love going to Fairview. It's always clean, well maintained and extremely friendly.
We had so much fun!! I used a Groupon, and we ran out of time with only one frame to go. The manager added 15 minutes for us to finish up the game and play more if we had wanted to! Very nice family fun time we will return again!
The two women running the place on Saturday October 17th were great. Our server/bartender Jenn was fantastic. Super friendly and outgoing. Made our visit special -Regan
The people working there were so nice it made my night awesome :)
Staff was extremely friendly! Our lane had an issue and they were able to get us in another lane right away. Everyone was wearing masks. Very professional and fun!
Even in the age of covid we had a blast!!! Very friendly staff cleaning everything all day! We will definitely be returning to this location! Thanks ladies you made our first family covid outing a success!!!
The food is okay but nothing special. The bowling can be expensive, $6.50 pet player pet game on Sunday is a joke. $50+ just for 2 games w 3 players and one is only 5. Either bowling has just gone up a lot in price or this place is a rip off. Its a decent atmosphere inside maybe a 4 out of 5. Avoid Sunday's before 5pm at all costs though because it will cost you.
Not a great experience, staff were not friendly. I called before going, asking if their were ?open bowling ? hours the person who picked up told me until 6pm I also asked if I could use a Groupon I purchased and she told me it was fine . As soon as I got there (3:45pm) I told the man at the front desk I was using my 2 hr bowling groupon he quickly told me we would have to get off the lanes at 5:30pm and I responded that I spoke to someone earlier and said we would be fine until 6 he reluctantly told me he w
Tried to order a margarita (on their menu) and got told, ?this is a bowling ally I'm not making that-you can have a seltzer? NOV 5 around 930pm, also voicemail boosts you can reserve lanes but then the man who answered the phone directory said they do not so we had to show up FOR A BIRTHDAY and hope for the best
High quality lanes, fair price, super friendly staff! My kids had their first bowling experience ever there and loved it!
The staff are very friendly and nice. They were having a slow night. When we arrived, they were planning on closing early since only one lane was being used. They told us that they will stay open until we were done bowling.
Great place to hold a birthday party for kids. The arcade and bowling lanes are Fun. Great staff and food.
The Good: Employees are all super nice. Smaller place, kind of old school inside, quick bar service, good selection of beers. The Bad: Lanes are super oily, personally I think they over do them. If you throw a straight ball, it's great. If your ball breaks you're in for a struggle until you get used to how slippery they are. The Ugly: You simply can't go during normal hours without some sort of Groupon or with them running a special (I think after 10pm its flat rate) or you will get price gouged
I will absolutely never ever go back here ever again. $100 for 5 people to bowl for just 2 games. No wonder this place is going under. Radio Social is a million times better, $15 per hour no matter how many people you have. On top of that the place is not updated at all, go to Radio Social and it's absolutely clean & beautiful inside. Customer service is horrendous as well. This place isn't going to last.
Our family spends a lot of time at Fairview Lanes. From practice, to leagues, and birthday parties, the management and staff always goes above and beyond to ensure we are taken care of! Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, I've watched the staff work tirelessly to accommodate all DOH guidelines while keeping the patrons safe and comfortable. My family is actually considering bowling exclusively at AMF Fairview Lanes because Val and her team have always treated us so well. So clean, so friendly, so professional
The staff here is amazing, food is surprisingly great (I recommend the pizza or one of the sandwiches) and the fact that they have a pool table and corn hole, that is icing on the top. The staff here truly makes this the go to bowling alley in the area, as you can bowl anywhere, but you can't get service like they provide anywhere else
Clean and fun filled family activity! The employees are friendly and always willing to help.
First time there. Inside was very cool with lights and the arcade games were fun. Wish it was not so expensive. Close to $30 for both of my sons to play 1game and 2 shoe rentals.
Staff is always super friendly & helpful, all the food I tried was delicious! & most importantly the lanes are well maintained! I will be back for sure!
The staff here is amazing, they are friendly and know the knowledge of every situation they come across. I love it here!!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
