Reviews Summary

The bowling alley receives mixed reviews, with many praising friendly staff, fun atmosphere, and good party experiences, especially when managers like Tim and Eric assist. Positive mentions highlight clean lanes, helpful service, and enjoyable food. However, several complaints cite poor maintenance (sticking lanes, broken equipment), high prices, slow service, and occasional rude staff. Customer Reviews

Great fun!!! Our lane was messed up but Rachel helped us out numerous times!!! It took almost 20 minutes to get to the front of the snack line... Very strange didn't seem super busy there, but everyone made good food/drinks and was very friendly. Would go again, next time bringing my own drinks though (stood in line twice totaling 45 minutes, I literally paid to stand in line).

Duck Pin challenges with my son! Great time! Love their bowl 2 games and get the third game at half price. There is also a neat bowling shop in the back. I ordered my duck pin balls there!

Omg....my son's basketball team came to bowl and had an amazing time with the help of TIm and Eric... the kids really enjoyed their self ##thebaltimoresunz ??

Great place for family fun. Like everything else, the cost of bowling has gone up too. If you enjoy bowling, think about getting the summer pass. 2 free games a DAY plus $5 arcade credit every visit.

Great place. Really love the fact that they have specials every night. I come here quite often and I've really improved my game. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

Outstanding Experience at AMF Dundalk! I recently visited AMF Dundalk Bowling Alley, and I can't say enough great things about this place! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, clean, and full of energy. The lanes were well-maintained, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic time. A special shoutout to the managers, Tim and Eric, who truly make this location stand out. Their professionalism, friendliness, and commitment to customer satisfaction are unmatched.

I wish I could leave no stars. This place is raggedy the pins pick wasn't working so they changed our lane and that one wasn't working at all. They said they didn't have a mechanic to fix the issues. Another couple personal ball got stuck and they was told them they had to wait until Monday. Also they told us we could not get a refund Don't come here to bowl or have fun. This place is trash.

We were assigned the first 2 lanes for a work party, lanes broke about 3 times in the first hour, so they moved us which was nice. The concession line is absolutely terrible, if you don't have multiple people to hold your place so you can continue bowling you will never finish a game. Waited in line with 2 people in front of me for over 20 minutes. Ordered 1 sampler when we got there at 5 and finally got it to our table at 6.

Had a great time Tim was amazing great host along as Tim and his crew there definitely going back again

Tiffany was so pleasant! She had the biggest smile and didn't hesitate when was asking for something to get it! They were all very efficient and friendly! Great experience compared to other times

Nice bowling alley with lots of lanes. Half are standard bowling and half are duckpin. Well maintained and definitely kid friendly (on a Friday afternoon). To be honest was much more expensive that I expected but learned a few lessons along the way ?? (ie not their fault I wasn't paying attention). Great facility overall.

The bowling alley was clean like... I wiped down our table when we got a lane. For a Monday, it seemed pretty busy, the food and bar area only had one worker doing it all, which he handled so kudos to him. Atmosphere was friendly, more towards a young adult and less of a family with young kids vibe.

Tonight we had a reservation and our lane had a few issues. The manager Eric was more than accommodating. Very nice and he cared about our time and money spent. It's nice to see such great customer service. Thank you!

First time playing duck pin bowling!!! We had a great time with our family of 6. Groupon is a must and must be purchased 24hr in advance. Without Groupon it was way out of our price range. Kids had a blast, clean environment, shoes were like new. Drinks were a bit high but no worse than a movie theater.

It's a bowling alley fully met expectations for a very basic bowling alley. Don't expect fast service or much more than a working lane and some shoes. Online booking worked great day of.

My kid?s friend wanted to write a review. Here it is: this is absolutely terrible. The CHICKEN TENDERS AND FRIES took 45 MINUTES AND THEIR COLD and when we rolled the bowling balls they never came back. We're still waiting for my friends burger and it's been AN HOUR!!!!

Sunday Jan. 26th. I decided to throw my 18 year olds birthday celebration here. It was me, my husband, my son who's birthday we were celebrating, my oldest son, and about 7 of the birthday boys friends. Ofcourse it's the weekend so it's busy. Tim the GM managed to get us two lanes. Tim and his entire team also made sure we feed the kids very well. We had pitchers of soda, a pan of chicken tenders, and fries. OMG those kids didn't even chew..lol food was hot and crunchy like I like. Dealing with these teenag

Had my sons birthday party there and it was great!! Staff was amazing and made sure everything was going well, food and drinks were good, and best part it wasn't crazy expensive!

Horrible Customer service. They will look at you at the snack bar, and walk to the back. Completely ignore you. Sorry for trying to spend money at this establishment.

Love going here on Sundays ! They are not crowded ( I go between 12 and 2) workers are friendly. We love it Here ! Just wish they had better claw machines lol ?? other then that love it and CHECK Groupon before going they may have a good deal!

My visit this time was not to bowl, but for the pro shop. I purchased my first bowling ball. This particular pro shop was recommended to me. Each staff member was so nice and attentive. They answered all of my questions. They were thorough and provided great customer service. I've visited 2 times since purchasing my bowling ball. The staff have been nice and attentive even when it is busy.

We had a wonderful birthday party tonight. Food was on time and nice and hot. All the staff members were polite and helpful, every time we had a question or needed something they were very quick to help. We had plenty of space and the set up with extra tables for cake and gifts was very nice. Highly recommend!

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! YESTERDAY THE MAN WEARING THE DREADLOCS SHOWED NO CONSIDERATION FOR THOSE WHO WERE WAITING TO GET A LANE AND IT WASN'T EVEN BUSY. HE TREATED HIS JOB LIKE WE WERE WAITING TO BE INVITED INTO HIS HOME RATHER THAN DOING BUSINESS WITH WOULD BE PATRONS WHO WANTED TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE UNLIMITED BOWLING PROMO. WE WANTED TO BOWL! WE DON'T HAVE TO BOWL! HUGE DIFFERENCE! MANY BUSINESSES ARE FAILING BECAUSE OF THEIR FRONTLINE STAFF!

Place in and of itself is great but they need to put on their website when leagues meet. We've gone several times to be told they were filled up with leagues playing.

Sometimes the pins go down. Sometimes they don't. Sometimes they reset a full rack of 10 pins. Sometimes they don't. Snack bar service is depressingly slow but friendly. I recommend visiting but bring a briefcase full of patience. Where are your corporate overlords when you need them?

Lanes are trash balls get damaged all the time always hot as hell in their workers are ignorant except for a few none of the hand fans work all plugged with dirt and lint overall crappy establishment and won't be open much longer if it stays under the same management!!!

Took my sons and one of their friends here and had a great afternoon. I was able to find a Groupon for 2 hours for 4 people with shoe rental included for $32 banana spent about $38 when suit but all in all a great experience the only thing I don't recommend is the nachos

So fun!! They were so accommodating and attentive. Will be back :)

The service here is excellent. They do HAVE DUCKPIN bowling and plenty of lanes. We needed an extra lane for our largeparty and they had no problems accommodating. They are very very clean ensuring all COVID safety measures are taken without being oppressive. The food is tasty as well, even the pizza was decent.

Impossible to slide when bowling. Looks like floor is stripped down to bare wood behind the line. If you try to slide when bowling, you will fall on your face.

Tiffany is the best server ever. You will love her service, which is amazing ????

Saturday during the Summer it's the place to go! Not busy, just enough people to have space to get full family fun time! Even though we go all year long. They have really fixed this bowling alley up too! Friendly staff always and just a nice environment! ??

I waited in line for 20 min to order a water. The people who work here are incompetent

Great time with friends and family. Sweet and chili wings are a recommendation of mine lol. Drinks were great as well. Staff made us laugh. First time there and will be returning!

The Food Was Tasty , But We Had To Pay For Every Single Game Vs Another Location We Usually Go To And Its Just One Set Price

Great last experience here. Food was delicious, staff was happy and friendly, building and everything inside is clean and well kept. I have had less than ideal experiences the last few times I've went here but this last time I was impressed. Keep up the good work!

What a crappy place. Arrived for league play at 5:20 with league starting at 6:30, tried to order food for 45 minutes. Front desk tells me, they don't work the kitchen and can't tell me if anyone is working. No one in the kitchen, then get told you have to order at the front counter, wait another 10 minutes while they help a group if 8 people. Then the front desk can't get the league in correctly. Employees have a shitty attitude.

I had fun I haven't bowled in over 30

I recently visited AMF Dundalk and I must say the customer service exceeded my expectations. From the manager who greeted us we walked in, she also worked to accommodate my party which I was very pleased with. The food was hot (temperature) which made us feel our food was cooked to order. The employees were so attentive that it made us feel like no one else was there. The building was full but we could not feel the affect of it. The music was appropriate and my children enjoyed hearing music they knew. They

It was fun, just very bhir n there!

The customer service is my favorite the lanes are clean and ready to roll

I had a slight issue with their "no refund" policy when they ran out of food after I purchased it. My family was leaving out the door and the young lady said we don't do refunds. She needs to do a better job at managing product, people, and equipment so that she can ensure a smooth operation. Other than that my family had a great time.

Our experience here was great. We booked one of their packages that included bowling, shoe rental, and food. They had a well decorated table set up for our party, and more food than we could eat. The assistant manager was very attentive and accommodating. He made us feel like VIPs, which was fantastic. The building is a little old, but they use it well.

We had 3 lanes for 10 people for Duckpin bowling --- we could have probably gotten away with 2. There were plenty of open lanes on a Friday afternoon into evening. I WAS upset that the 4pm game price of $6.49 was hiked up to $10.49 before 5pm, without warning. I got there at 4:50pm, and paid a premium for it. Didn't seem fair to me. If we were aware of the price hike, we would have bought several games at once ?? Otherwise, we had a great time.

There are plenty of bowling lanes. The employees are nice and helpful. I will definitely return.

Really fun time. Service is a little slow to get checked in. Duck pin was $9 a game, shoe rental $6 per person. A little expensive but was really fun. Areas were clean. Men's room stall doors didn't close properly but was relatively clean. I would go again but with regular bowling balls.

Absolutely appalling service. Disgusting bathrooms. DO NOT GO HERE. The staff is extremely racist. They charged up double for each person. We were a party of 4. We went to play 10 pin and arcade. The desk person whose tag said ?Hello my name is Kim? was about 6?5? and unwelcoming. As soon as we got to the counter, he and the staff there were so rude and cold. He was whispering and we could not hear him. He said the 10-pin lanes were full. We looked over to see clearly open lanes. He told us we could not wai

I had fun food was good

Wednesday @ 7 unlimited bowling till 10pm can't beat it.Get there hour early to Guarantee a lane, they have Duck & 10 pin.Hope too see you there.

I highly recommend this AMF location. I booked a bowling event in acknowledgment of my son?s 11th birthday, he and his friends had a great time. The staff at AMF Dundalk were very helpful and cordial. Thank you for a great experience. We will be back.

What an amazing experience! I was greeted by Marlisa and she welcomed me to the venue. She took great care in explaining my party option chosen, setting up the bowling, & helped in choosing the right balls. She was attentive & checked on our group continuously throughout our event window. Food Set up was delivered as expected & everything was the right temp & tasted great! Thank You Marlisa for easing my stress & helping me make sure that things ran smoothly! I can't wait to come back to enjoy bowling leisu

Large facility and very friendly staff. This was my first time duck pin bowling and I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, they were severely understaffed at the time of my visit and service at concessions was very poor. I would give it another try though.

Okay so not once , not twice , the THREE times I've tried to bowl at this place I have been turned down. Really???? Don't bother going here , you'll never get to bowl. Are bowling leagues just constantly going on every day of the week all day? That's what it seems like here.

I gave my son his 10th birthday party at AMF Dundalk Lanes. I would most certainly do it again, the staff was amazing. They made sure that we had all that we needed. The food was very good. Darrell was the cook and he was so cool. And both of the managers make sure all of our problems were solved. All of my guests adults and kids had a lovely time.

I had fun bowling with my mother....what fun we had!!! She won the first game, the rest is in the history books.????. Oh, there food was good but expensive!!!

We had my son's 4th birthday party there and it was such a blast! All of the kids had such a great time, and for such a reasonable price!(I have 2 other children and this was the best place we've booked within the last 7 years) And the staff was AMAZING!! It got pretty busy and they made sure to keep checking if we were good and needed anything. What a great place for parties!

When I called on Sunday evening, I was told that we could use our Groupon on Monday evening. When we got there on Monday the place was completely empty but we were turned away because the lanes were apparently already oiled for leagues later the night. We went back tonight. Although one of the lanes kept malfunctioning and employees were very clearly smoking marijuana (extremely heavy odor) right behind the door on the other side of our lane, we were making the most of it. The young man who checked us

Tried to take my boys a few different times at the Dundalk location and always told no lanes are open. I understand that can happen but called to ask if lanes are available before we came and was told ?we can't give that info over phone? I then asked if it was crowded at that time and could tell person on phone was starting to get irritated.

The staff was friendly, the kids enjoyed the bowling and the chicken tenders where awesome.. looking forward to having our next party there

Extremely rude staff member, inappropriately handled phone call?. After driving out to the Perry hall location and finding that the entire alley was full due to a league, it was recommended that I try the Dundalk or Towson locations. Instead of driving around to find the same result of all full lanes I decided to give a call to the Dundalk AMF location to inquire about availability. The woman that answered the phone was incredibly rude. I simply asked if there was any availability of lanes so that I didn?

Always enjoyed visiting this location. Love that they have both 10 pins and duckpins available. Had a great time with my family while celebrating my nephew's birthday. My nieces loved the dinosaur ramps as well.

Definitely such a great family place! The kids had such a blast and anytime we needed assistance, the employees were so quick to help! Clean facility, good food, great activity to do with the family! ?? Will for sure go back!

Way too expensive for 3 people with shoe rental. $70.00 is way too much to be sandwiched between two parties (the parties had the most rude children). It is always nice to wait 30 minutes in line and then be ignored when it is our turn to step up to the register. The facilities were a disgusting dirty mess that hadn't been cleaned in several days!

We came for our work holiday party. They were very accommodating, had a nice layout of food for us which was actually really good. All of the staff was amazing even though we ended up being a bit loud.

Last night my family and I went here for some quality time. The staff here was amazing. They were so nice and welcoming. Will most definitely plan another night out with the kids here.

I like it so much it's so fun to play

The place was not organized to hold so many children. There was not enough dinosaurs for each roll. They were not prepared for the parents of Lakewood Elementary School to buy food and drinks when we got there. We had to wait until the bowling league people finished ordering their food. Some of the people had not went up to order their food when Lakewood Parents were ready to order. We had about 30 parents. Their was no pizza for the children whose teachers and parents wanted to order pizza for the child

The bowling alley was clean and we were serviced quickly to get to our lanes. We didn't have any issues with the lane or scoreboard. The 2 stars are due to the concession and other services. First batch of cheese sticks were burned but were remade them free of charge. Our first order of soft drinks tasted funny. When we asked for new ones the employee wanted us to wait 10 minutes and still continued to sell drinks knowing they weren't going to be good. Then when we got our new drinks they tasted as ba

We got the birthday party package for my kid. Food was great, service was great, staff was extremely attentive and polite. Could not have gone better. Highly recommended.

My family arrived at 5:45 PM on September 4, the day before our season passes expired. There was a party of three ahead of us in line. There was one person at the register and three other people behind the counter including the manager talking. By the time the three people were checked in it was exactly 6 PM and I try to use our season passes in which case the manager advised us they were no longer valid since it was 6 PM on a Saturday. Even though there was a line, the manager did not open the second regis

My family and I went tonight. I was not impressed at all. The staff was helpful with the issues with the lane but I don't think we will be back. It is over priced for poor service. The lanes barely worked, we had switch lanes after it wouldn't clear the pins three plus times in a row and the bumpers for my little ones didn't work for the first few frames. For one game it cost $45 for myself, my husband, my two year old and four year old. We also ordered the sampler and a side of fries. The fries were good

I definitely appreciate an alley where the ball returns work, and personal equipment doesn't come back damaged, needing to file a claim.

Service here has drastically gone down over the last few years but this was pretty bad. Waited in a line with two people in front of me and one person behind me for fifteen to twenty minutes before being helped. 2 other associates behind the counter (one of whom i assumed was a manager as she had the key card to override changes at the register.) that did not open another register to speed up the process. Manager was quick to critique the associate who forgot to give shoes to the guest before me however did

This was the worst experience of my life today was my sons 7th birthday party we walk in and are put on the heavy balls where the kids couldn't even bowl then they switch us to the duck pins and it kept getting jammed so the league comes in and they say they have to move us back to the heavy side where again none of the kids can bowl 350.00 for 7 people to bowl then 200.00 in food that was trash never again and I suggest that no one come here because they suck

We had a large group and no reservations on one of the busiest days of the week. I must say the staff were very patient, professional and accommodating. We had a great time bowling at AMF. Thanks for all you do and keep up the good work!

Pretty clean and consistent bowling alley and duck pin lanes. It was our first time playing duck pin because the bowling lanes were all reserved. Gets very busy on weekends and peak times. Better to go during the week and off hours like closer to closing.

Every time I go here my husband and I bowl four or five or six games and we enjoy ourselves together however, the issue that I have is that the lanes are always always uneven we have to go up and ask to either get a game reset which they don't like to do but we have this problem every time we go and we pay good money for two games and we always wind up going back and getting two more games period we prefer the fair Lanes in Woodlawn because we've never had a problem if there is an issue they take care of it

Josh is alway at command. Great customer service

1st experience great, 2nd time back, we're do I begin first the water was horrible, you can tell it was no filtered Are lanes kept breaking down, issues after issues, they wouldn't replace are water with at least fruit punch. Only thing good about this place is pro shop has great knowledge people.

The staff was very nice and helpful throughout our party.

I enjoyed playing here with my friends. It wasn't too busy or loud. We didn't eat or drink anything, but the service we did receive great service.

I go here almost every Friday night. Love the special they have, you can't find a better deal for the money!! Staff is very helpful. The food is pretty good too. Large menu to choose from. Great place to go either by your self or on date night with the wife.

The girl at the front was super nice but our lane broke down and wouldn't restart and we hit the (help call bell) but nobody came for a long while and then finally when she came over she tried hitting a little button to restart it and it wouldn't work so she said she would call maintenance and that took forever. Plus when we got there their credit card machine wasn't working so we couldn't pay with our card there was an ATM there BUT the ATM was down so we couldn't pull out cash so we actually had to leave

We were here for a tournament and then stayed to bowl and basically staffing is a HUGE issue. They didn't have enough people (read only 1) working the snack bar which makes no sense when you know there is a tournament. People want to watch their bowlers, not spend 15 minutes waiting for someone to come to the snack bar too help them. Afterwards when we were bowling just for fun, we waited 35 minutes and noone ever came over to remove gutter balls even though we asked several times. Several times we asked f

Sunday's on GameDay its empty. It's pricey 4 people 2 games 90$ that's without food or drink so I would look for a deal on Groupon. Other than the price great place fun times on a rainy day

It was all you can bowl for one price it was after 7 on a Sunday when I went

We had a bowling day for the clients of Second Chance II in Dundalk today and the staff was absolutely amazing. They were extremely attentive, kind and accommodating to us the entire time we were here. We had a great time and we look forward to returning here again soon!

I will never come here again. We had a party of 10 @ $40 each. The deal was bowling for two hours. All you could eat wings, pizza, and soda. They didn't have any ice for the soda. We never got any chicken wings. They gave us two pizzas one hour apart. We couldn't even buy cold water because the line was so long we would?ve held up the bowling game.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
