Bowling is fun but the staff here make it great. They are super friendly and hooked us up with some food right as the kitchen closed. The unlimited package is the best. Love coming here any day of the week for some shenanigans
First time at this place?it's bigger than I expected. Our family of 8 went, and the staff was very nice. The place looked clean, and we had a fun time. It was a busy night, and it seemed like there were only 1 or 2 waiters taking orders, so service was a bit slow. But I get it?things happen, and they were doing their best. Nothing really negative to say, except my brother joked that his drink could?ve used a little more alcohol, lol. Also, I'm a photographer?feel free to follow me on Instagram: @mr.3very
Real fun atmosphere. Music playing, sports on the TV?s. Very helpful staff. Had a great time with the entire family, and we will be returning soon.
My wife called to ask about the reservation and the manager was a a complete jerk! She yelled at my wife and said there is no refunds no mater what!! This attitude of business so we're is getting old and someone needs to humble them a little bit. As if 50 bucks is going to make or break their business. Terrible service terrible people terrible management.
Great atmosphere, nice employees, food, drinks, music videos, tournaments,Arcade games ...Love it!
My daughter made reservations for her 18th birthday and the front desk was great. They got us in right away. Also checked up to make sure everything was good even after getting the lanes. It's really busy but the fact they he still took the time to check on as many lanes as possible matters.
Our family had a amazing experience today at bowling. The employees are on another level, they surprised us with a lot of fun, friendliness, charisma, excellent service and unmatched treatment. We will definitely be back very soon? Special shout out to Jeremy and Joe..! They really Rock our night?! The environment was very nice and clean. Food was very delicious. ??
I'd love to say AMF is amazing, but really it's Jeremy! He's been such an amazing employee and has always helped our group out with deals, league info, and all things bowling. He's kept us coming back night after night, week after week. This guy deserves a raise! I've lived in East haven for 8 years and I've never had this much fun at AMF as I have since we've met this guy.. what a gem! Edit: unfortunately Jeremy is no longer working at AMF and sadly this seems to have changed the energy of this location..
A fun place to spend an afternoon. 50 lanes, a small but well-appointed selection of arcade games, and the food looked great (we had already eaten.) We'll be back!
Great family place to bowl.
I had a great time Saturday night. The general manager Joe was very attentive and continued to come over to make sure everything was okay and asked if we needed anything. It was a great experience and I will be definitely coming back! This place has come a long way since the last time I visited.
Clean, friendly staff, good pricing. Choice of "light" versus "dark" lit lanes.
I was just there tonight, around 3:30 pm. When I came in with 4 boys to bowl, I asked the man behind the desk how much it would be, (Caucasian man with a beard) he said it would be 7.99 per game and 5.99 for shoe rental when I got home I was overcharged $50. I called to tell them of the error and the gentleman said it was 11.99 per game. I've been going there for over 20 years, I will not be going back-that's outrageous
This bowling experience was one in a million. Jeremy the manager was so accommodating and pleasant. Our Girlscouts were beyond pleased with our bowling trip to earn our bowling badge. The pizza and atmosphere was amazing. I can't be anymore pleased with this experience.
We have lived in East Haven since 2016 and just tried coming here for the first time this year. We have been back almost daily for 3 months and will continue to come for as long as we can thanks to Jeremy. Jeremy has gone so far above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and happy. Giving us little tips and tricks to do better but always making us feel right at home. Because of Jeremy we bought a summer pass and then bought 4 of our friends passes as well. We all love it. We've had our birthday parties he
The worst customer service ever from management which I find shocking. This used to be our bowling spot but not anymore? Looking for a fun filled night, This AMF in East Haven, CT is not it!!!
This place is literally run like a clown show. The person running this place is rude. He dosn't care about the bowlers, let alone the leagues. We get treated like crap petty consistently. Not to mention the constant lane break downs, dirty approaches and fans that don't work. It's honestly just sad.
TONS of fun and so many lanes! Loved the atmosphere, too. ???? A bit pricey, but worthwhile as a family activity during the holidays and for special occasions! ??????
Took advantage of the summer pass and so glad we did! Alley is clean, music and movies playing made it fun, and the staff are all awesome! Jeremy especially goes above and beyond to make sure it's a good experience. Definitely recommend
The staff here did a fantastic job while shorthanded. The man cooking the food (I believe his name was Greg) was exceptionally friendly and thanked us for our patience. I knew the wait time would be a little longer because there was only one person in the food area, so we didn't mind at all. Food was typical bar food and we were satisfied with the quality. When we were getting ready to leave, our daughter felt sick and we asked for a bag for the car (this had nothing to do with the food, she gets nausea of
I have been coming to this alley for years now and have been a part of a few leagues here, so it's sad to see it slowly going down hill. Corporate fired or drove out their best employees and new management is clueless. They didn't know how to change the channels on the tv during football season and have taken servers away from leagues. They also did not have anybody working during a league night that could maintain the equipment, there was an instance where a league member had to fix a lane because there wa
Planned my kids 5th Birthday party here and it went without a hitch. Jake got me all set with my lanes, the training rails for the kids, and my table was already set up with some party decorations and platters already set out. Gave me my arcade cards and the guests rolled on in. Jake and crew made this event an absolute stress off my back for planning my kids party. I had fun as did everyone involved. There was one other thing that added to this event that made it the icing on top. The food ??, Cas not onl
Amazing place with almost amazing food and all the things you need to have some good time with friends. Reason i gave 4 stars is because it's lil bit expensive as compare to other places. For instance, they charge you for shoes like $4 per person. Otherwise, pleasant experience
Nice clean Place good food well-oiled Lanes everything works well
Visited this establishment recently with my husband along with my daughter and granddaughter. My husband is in a large very heavy wheelchair. But this bowling facility was totally accessible. We were so happy to see that the desk clerk took notice of my situation and immediately assigned us lane 1 which to our surprise offered a ramp for a wheelchair to access the bowling line and actually to be able to see his daughter and granddaughter bowl ! We also ordered food and beverages which were delivered to
The pricing is per person per game so it was super expensive with our group of 6 people. As we waited to get our lane and shoes, we watched as one employee helped everyone while 4 different employees stood around and did nothing. We quickly realized that we had bumpers up for our adult group and had to ask 3 different times to have them put down. When the bumpers were finally put down, half of them stayed and when it was brought to the attention of the worker we were quickly dismissed with an attitude and
no the best customer service. since the beginning we got here to the food person.
More expensive than I remember - but it's been 20 years !!! Nice clean fun atmosphere. The bowling shoes were actually cute !
Terrible experiences twice in the matter of two days. Second time I went was terrible! I DO NOT recommend this place at all. I went on a Friday with two other people. They gave us a lane and quickly changed our lanes when we were about to put our names up because the other party next to us wanted to sit in our chairs. We did not mind that. When we were assigned a new lane, it had no bowling balls. I quickly noticed that all the racks had none either, but I noticed that there were empty lanes a few rows down
Took my grandson Luca to celebrate his 10th Birthday with some of his school friends
I have been a weekly regular for over a year now, while i enjoy coming here i was very upset to hear that Foli is no longer working at this alley, he was one of the best people to deal with and would always situate any issues with the lanes as soon as it was mentioned. The rest of the staff is also very nice but Folis hospitality and friendliness was the reason we switched alleys to this one. We wish to see him back soon to make the experience whole again
Great bowling experience and food ,with over 50 bowling lanes
Game:I found this place -a busy fun spot cuz maybe we went on Sunday to play( it's a weekend tho!). Had a good play time and overall experience was good in terms of bowling. Food: We ordered chicken burger and wings. I felt, the burger?s patty was too oily and with every bite taken;we saw a drop of oil dripping down.
nice place to play good atmosphere
Really good time with my wife. We were on a roll bowling 4 complete games and started a 5th in our 2 hour time allowed. I bowled a 159 in my 4th game, best ever in my life and I'm a real low 100 game at my best. Met a regular their Chief. Nice guy. I'll go back.
My family had not visited the establishment for about a month and the service was ok. I gotta say that this Thursday the service was very good, it seems like there was staff turnover or something but the waitress was so attentive and kitchen, there was a young lady that was picking up after tables and she's was so kind and efficient. Really loved the staff this week and I will definitely be back soon!
Took my daughter here for some fun. She had a good time with the arcade, albeit small. 4 stars because she had a good time. I took off a star because we were going to get a lane for bowling. Nobody could be found at the desk. After waiting for several (10+) minutes, we just decided to go do something else. Will update with a better review if this changes next visit.
Not a great place to bowl. In short: overpriced, understaffed, poorly designed, and vibeless. We paid about $30 for 2 people, which was divided into the charges of 2 pairs of shoes and 2 games. We assumed, as one would, that we were paying for two separate bowling games, but it turns out that each 'game' is the per person charge. Playing one game with a large group would be horribly expensive. The only reason they don't stick to the norm of charging base cost for one lane/game plus a shoe charge per person
Surprisingly busy on a constant. Staff is kind, but not always knowledgeable. There's no warning the bar or kitchen are closing, just notified 15 minutes after that they are. Lanes are in great condition. Ball selection lacks a little. Overall perfectly fine experience. $5/game, $5/shoe rental when we went, so not astronomical either.
Took my middle schoolers on a field trip here a few days ago. The atmosphere was very fun and energetic, and the kids absolutely loved the arcade games available. The package we purchased included several lanes and 10 credits to the arcade for each student. The staff were also very friendly and helpful the entire field trip. I would definitely recommend coming here for a field trip, birthday party, or just a fun family outing!
They ripped us off. They pretended like they were giving us an unlimited deal and then they charged us 212 dollar 6 person 3 games. - update 05/13/23 They were understanding and fixed it. Shout out to one of there employees, Folly, for making right. If you have problems talk to them. They are reasonable
We were there for a company party. Everyone had a great time. We could have used another server to help our great waiter, but otherwise it was fun!
Had fun with my family. One thing that I wish was positive is that they had some available food. One employee alone was not able to open the bar and also assist other customers. It seemed like it did not matter much to the business that they lost business. It definitely needs improvement.
MY family and I have a Tuesday night tradition to go bowling and now in honor of my late uncle Speedy. The team they have there are awesome! They are prompt and if they ever fall short they happily with no hesitation correct things. I would highly recommend that you bring your family here loads of fun and great staff my so far #1 bowling spot but hurry the lanes fill up fast??
The specials themselves are good but most people do not want to wait until 8pm to start any kind of activity on a weeknight. Start the specials at 6 or 7pm and I bet you'd get a *lot* more people taking advantage of them. Of course i don't expect AMF to change the time, it's 8pm 100% by design. Addendum. There wasn't any wait at all. Just sucks when it costs $50 to bowl 3 games each when a special starts on the later side that would cut that by 40%.
Had a great time! Didn't accept our Groupon when it said it was okay but made accommodations on the misunderstanding remedying it. Had a lot of different themes for the display and loved the Halloween-themed game.
We did a team party in AMF and it was great. It was easy to schedule (thanks Nataly), and great experience during the party (thanks Sophia and the rest of the team who I didn't remember names). You did great job! Will be happy to come back again and again.
My son went with his girlfriend and he enjoyed. Using a Groupon voucher was very inexpensive and it was worth it. He went on a Saturday about 1:15 and there was no one just 2 people, perfect timing. Staff very respectful and patience with explaining directions or answering questions. The food was great. They loved it. Look on Groupon for AMF Bowling sales.
This place is so much fun....take your friends, eat, chat and play a game or two.....
Great fun place to go with the kids or date night or with a group of friends. They have a league there, unlimited bowling and discounted days.
First time bowling here had a great experience. Friendly staff. Afolabi smith and Jeremy hill were awesome. Very clean establishment. Will refer friends and will return.
Just had a great time here. Ample parking. Food and drinks. Great fun for all ages. Very clean. Staff super friendly and helpful. Great fun for a family or individuals.
It's a good place to go bowling. It's just when I was there, it was smoky, and it was coming from the kitchen. It made it seem like everyone was smoking inside. Plus, the whole time we had food left over from the people who where at our lane before us, and was never cleaned up until midnight
Took my nephew bowling Saturday night. The staff was so nice, upbeat and energetic. The girl at the bar around 7pm was very sweet & had great customer service.
This a great place to play.
Bad experience whith one of the employees yelling at my kid and turning off our manager handdle it grate but bad experience.
Some staff are super friendly and helpful, but especially the folks working the food service tend to be less friendly and helpful. Overall, staff are not especially attentive so you may have to ask twice to get your lane lit or put up bumpers, etc. Bowling isn't cheap, so it would be nice if they made a full effort to ensure everyone has what they need and is having fun. I appreciate that they give a price list sheet when you arrive so you know what games will run (last time we were there, three of us bowle
I find myself wishing there were half stars. The place is uninspired and at the very least the Monday-Wensday crew is not the best. I suppose the place is clean enough, food is very average, it's a bowling alley. It's a fine place to bowl with friends maybe pregame before
Had a great time. Have been coming here for years! Love the upgrades they have made
This is a generally an ok place. I go here regularly for lack of a better option. The staff is kind of rude, and I don't appreciate how they recently taken out all of the arcade machines. But beyond that, it's a pretty good experience for the kids, and the pricing isn't terrible. The bowling is pretty standard, nothing special. I won't really recommend it to anyone visiting, because there are better options (if you're willing to drive).
Great place to have some fun with friends for a reasonable price especially since many of the bowling alleys around are so much more expensive. Look online for nights that have good deals. Bar pours some good drinks as well at a good price
Place is horrible now. Upper management made the very bad decision to let the only manager that ever gave a crap about the bowlers the Ax. Make better decisions!
Since Bowlero took over, it's been nickle and dimeing it's customers for years. Policy will piss off a customer just to save a buck. No love for old customers, just today's profit. I hate this place. Hate the over priced bar. Hate the over priced lockers. Food has nothing mildly healthy to eat or drink. Unless you bowl at days and times you don't want to, they over charge you for that too. $21 for two people for about 30 minutes. I'd go somewhere else, but that own that place too. Oh, and there's no Sprint
This was a great experience! My daughter and I came in on a free day for the kids. She enjoyed herself bowling. They even have a mini arcade and she loved the arcade and they even gave her a free 10 credit card towards the arcade.
I took my kids there for the Sunday Funday. Supposedly started at 6 p.m. I got there at 6:34 p.m. the place was packed they told us we could be put on a reservation list but it could be anywhere from 15 to 20 to 30 mins then they said the latest an hour so I reserve the spot which said 35 minutes they told us to go buy some food and by the time we're done eating we should be ready to play so we all sit and eat patiently spent $50 on food that was garbage after 2 hours of waiting we finally gave up and left
Fun place to bowl! Great atmosphere and clean. They also run some great deals and if you're lucky you can find them on groupon which is always totally worth it. We always have a great time while there.
Having a Wednesday night Unlimited bowling from 8-10 is a wonderful idea. But to not let anybody bowl until 9pm because you have leagues using every lane? Sounds fishy or just terribly unorganized. I had a very disappointed group of 12. I won't be planning that again?
Great music and they're very responsive to kid's needs... the bumpers were up by the time we got to our lane!
I use to come here all the time but was so disappointed last time I came. Came here with a buddy and our kids and spent almost 200 bucks on 4 games of bowling. We were there for about 2 hours. I don't mind paying for anything but I felt taken advantage of. It felt like what I paid didn't equal to what I got. Thanks for reading!
Friendly, courteous staff especially Angela at the snack bar. The place is clean and well maintained. The pizza was piping hot! My family and I always enjoy our visit to this bowling alley.
It is a nice place to be but very slow service. When the place is busy, the staff are overwhelmed by the crowd. I had to wait for almost 45 minutes in line just to talk to someone, and have my name on the waiting list for bowling.
Great center for League Bowling. Sarah the manager is not only professional but personable and creative. Bar staff are so sweet and nice and the food is good! Great place to go for a good time.
I utilized this bowling alley for a program I manage. The party was about 75 people with bowling and food. Usually, the activities at other venues are okay, but this one was stellar! The staff members were so welcoming and inviting, they really made the attendees feel important and welcomed. The food was amazing and the bowling was excellent! Everyone that attended the event said it was their absolute favorite. I most definitely recommend AMF Circle Lanes for parties or for a night out. Anthony R. Han
This place doesn't no how to handle anything. They don't I.D for drinks ur 12 year old could go get u a drink from the bar. Sebastian doesn't no how to do his job and keep his hands off females!
It is a great place to have fun with friends and family, The staff is funny and friendly, and the bowling experience is great! Just a heads up they food here is pretty expensive, but in my experience it does taste pretty good
Very surprised at how modern and clean the lanes were. Everything is updated and top notch. Staff very friendly as well. Had a great time. Just wished I rolled a 300!
been bowling there for years. Good luck getting a drink at the bar. Good luck getting service at your lane if you are a league bowler. Facility is in terrible condition. Sad what has happened to a once great place
Went there for a work outing. They had our space decorated nicely. Pizza was ok. Boneless wings were good. I had fun.
I think the pricing here is ridiculous. The lanes itself feel a bit overcrowded but what can you expect really. The staff was friendly and it scored me my first kiss so I would say it was worth it.
I am editing my original review. I really enjoy bowling but recently they changed the overhead lighting from white to red. It is absolutely horrible. I am having trouble seeing and I feel like a piece of meat under the heating lamps. It is also giving me a terrible headache. I am so disappointed and I hope they change it back to white.
Once again, they raised the prices on food and drinks, bowling, and lockers. But after months of complaining, they can't put $20 into fixing the broken WiFi. They poured thousands into obnoxious arcade games lining the walls, but I can't pick up a signal to listen to my own music. To write this review, I had to go outside. Lord forbid I want actual bandwidth for something. They said the new prices match other local alleys. Of course they do, they all owned by the same greedy company.
I enjoyed the setup, had a lot of extra things for people to enjoy including a bar (Adult drinks) and snack counter. Bathrooms were clean and staff was super friendly!
It was very nice!...Clean,Fun and Employees were the Best! Very Friendly and Attentive.... music was good and a Fun Family Time...????
Great fun, friendly staff.
Fun and friendly only bad thing was they did not care if the food was cold. I spent 71.00 on food and the employees were Iike so what . Eve. The syrup was out on drinks
It's ok but they make you food if u buy a pitcher of beer. Doesnt make any sense! Other that we had a great time.
Do not clean the gutters before league starts and try to clean off the tables because they are a little bit sticky but other than those two things it's a pretty nice place for family and friends to go
Very bright and clean. Love the computerized scoring system. The kids love the themes. Bumpers and ball launchers make the game fun for all ages.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
