The staff is very friendly! Felt like they actually cared and wanted me to have a great time! (Also I really want that giant plush in the arcade machine)
Great place to go with your kids. Cost is great as long as you go on one of there specials days. I'd call to find out, but I believe the only day they didn't have special pricing was on Saturday, they supply bowling shoes, and they where clean, and new looking, worked well with my shorts. Lol. Me and my son had a blast and will be back.
Our church has an outing today at the lanes. Our party was greeted with a welcome sign. Josh(manager) and Nate ( in the kitchen) made sure we were taken care of and that our experience was enjoyable. Our group includes several children as well as differently abled adults who were accommodated with no issues so that they could enjoy bowling also. Thank you AMF for such a wonderful time!
I was supremely surprised!!! The attendants were on point, the group price was excellent and the food was better than some fast food establishments. The staff was courteous, attentive and friendly. The whole family had fun and are already planning another party there soon!!
First time at this place and I won't be back. I came in with my family of 5 for the first time since moving to the area and was treated poorly as soon as we stepped in the door. Heavy set lady wearing glasses had an attitude and acted annoyed with us when we asked her anything. She made no eye contact when speaking to us and was very short in her answers. I had my children with me and we had planned to have a fun night out but finished one game and left. I couldn't stand to pay more money to someone who doe
It's too expensive and the service needs a lot of work. They allow folks to throw balls down the lane like a basketball and when asked to address it they either take forever to get there or don't say anything to the culprits at all.
The cashier was very resourceful & helpful. It was my Birthday,&it has been well over 25yrs since I've bowled. It was a pleasant experience until we went for refreshments. The guy who served us was uncaring & unpleasant. He seemed to not like people or his job,he did NOT want to serve us, told us items we clearly saw was unavailable. We had to say sir, it's right there. He did NOT want to give us water. Hopefully if we return, better staff will be in place. Overall, we still had fun????
Sunday evenings are the best time to get a good bang for your buck. 12.99 all you can bowl.
First time ever in this bowling alley and was fun. Even though I haven't bowled in centuries I won two games ??
The lanes were packed and the staff was very short handed but they were all great and handled it really well! We were there for a party we booked. Everyone had a great time and we will be back to bowl again.
Had a very good time here! Pretty nice and laid back place to bowl.
Fun spot for a great price, first time visiting from nyc loved it and had a good time with fiance and family
This is a good place to relax and have fun with family and friends
We have been coming here every weekend with the kids for a while now. We use the bumpers for our 12 yr old new bowler, and have never had a problem before wanting to use them. Now I understand that unruly people can ruin things for others, but as we asked for bumpers for our game like we usually do, the front lady rudely informed us we were not allowed to use them because they are for 10 and under. I explained we have always used them with no problem before. And I get it, one bad egg can ruin things for eve
They have decreased the amount of seating since my last visit. Spent $80 for 4 people to bowl and shoe rental. It would be better to go during unlimited bowling sessions. The pay system went down for cards, but it was rectified. Drink was waterd down, not worth $15. The bathroom was clean. Plenty lanes open. Lighting was good, but I needed a flashlight to put names in the computer. I did not eat anything but I will go again.
We came in an hour and a half before bowling ended and when we walk in the guy at the front was very rude saying oh I didn't expect anyone else to come in so we ask for the prices and he tells us the price of one game we say we want two and he says ?so you wanna bowl for the last hour? very rudely. We say yes as soon as we start bowling they cut all the music off. So we just play our music lowly on your phones, we were on our last game, we had about 10 minutes left. I had one more bowl left, and my friend h
This place is in serious need of new management.. The last time we went, there was no one there (maybe 3 lanes being used).. The manager (I never remember to get his name, but has scruffy hair and glasses) always makes you feel like an inconvenience.. It was no where near closing time, and he huffed and puffed because he had to open two lanes.. They ended up turning the lights on super early.. Also, we went to order some drinks and the cook was not behind the counter.. The manager comes over and says, "he'l
Jan 2,2024 my first time coming in years Employees were really sweet. My family and I ordered some food and I got a couple drinks. The employees were working really hard cuz they had a party, who apparently were impatient about their food. (There's one guy in that little kitchen with those sweet little fryers) lol. They were apologetic about our wait and I just hope whoever that group was had the ability to maintain some friendliness towards the staff even if they were impatient. Anyone with eyes and a gene
Fun for the whole family. I booked here for a birthday party and we had a great time. We had a party of 10-12 people and reserved 2 lanes. I booked for 6pm-8pm on a Friday. This seemed to be perfect as there was not a lot of people. The bathrooms were clean and the staff was nice. We ordered a pizza and a couple drinks which the food/bar staff brought over to our area for us. They DO allow you to bring in a birthday cake and goody bags if you have them. No other outside food or drinks are allowed. They pla
I used to bowl here nearly 40 years ago. The memories are good. I was a member of the wives' club at the base and this place offered us free day care. My son loved "Miss Winnie" who was a very sweet lady and loved the babies. I'm sure the place has changed hands over the years, but those memories are locked in my heart. So happy to see it's still in business.
Had my sons birthday party there and the staff was so friendly and helpful. They continued to check on us and make sure we had everything we needed. I will definitely use them for a birthday party again in the future.
It's smells like mildew as soon as you walk in. It is very out dated so price expectations were very low. But to my surprise it was VERY over priced. Our bill was $55.58 for two people 3 games. They charged us for "6 premium games" there is nothing premium about it. All the balls are completely chipped and it smells of a flooded building. Will never go back.
Went Friday night 1/13/22 Girl at the front desk was horrible. She had a disgusting attitude from the start. We haven't bowl in a while so we weren't sure on the pricing and how that work when the manager came out she explained it( very professional ) women was like that's what I said. Ummm no you did not because you did not say it was 7 dollars per person in each game. Overall we had a great time but Girl at the desk doesn't need to be working front in center with people. She doesn't have any customer serv
My family had a great experience! The lighting and music created an energetic atmosphere. The staff provided excellent customer service! The prices were reasonable, although the kid's meal pizza and fries were less than expected for the price. The large chili cheese fries was larger than expected, which compensated for the kid's meal. The overall quality of the food was good. Adult beverages were available but could be pricy depending on the drink. Overall, beverage prices were average for an entertainment
Came in a couple weeks ago and Tori makes a great host! She announced a birthday and built hype for them over the intercom on a busy night which not many places would bother to do if they were swamped with customers (which was exactly the case.) Attentive staff makes for a great experience, and will keep you coming back for more. If you're looking for a fun night out with some friends, this is the spot.
This place is great for the bowling and the pool, as well as the little machines they have in the corner. I've been treated well enough each time I come here. The only knock I have on this place is that for whatever reason, people love to start problems here. Of the 7 times I've been here, they're have been near brawls about 5 times over some type of disagreement. The staff always comes to break it up, but the vibe is already ruined and dead in the bath water. If you can deal with that then this place, as I
Always have a fun time when I go there with friends and family! The staff are great and always on top of whatever they can help you with!
My girls, LOVE to have birthday parties here!!! They have great service for parties and do it right! Kids and adults have a great time
The staff seemed friendly at first. Two of us came on a Friday night 10:30pm, was told it was $7.ish per game and $5.ish for shoes per person. After 4 games we were expecting to pay $45 ish, the guy said it was $70. He then explain its $7ish per game per person and $5ish for shoes per person. I feel ripped off, they also have you save your card on file until you're done bowling, you play how ever many you play and pay at the end. We had kids running in front of while we bowled so we moved lanes, one of the
Well, I don't know where to start..... I love bowling and I hate to leave negative reviews but this was not a good experience. The price was extremely expensive for two games, they charge per person for each game not including the shoes so our bill was like 55 something. We don't mind paying for that price if it was a quality spot but it wasn't. The smell hits you in the face as soon as you walk In, no ac, lane kept breaking( although staff was very fast at fixing), very out of date, not a clean feel to it
The worst customer service I've experienced. Slow and unprofessional. The lady up front had a bad attitude like lady I am playing with my money it's not coming out of your pocket respectfully
Basic no frills bowling alley...staff was attentive and helpful when we needed their assistance. One staff member stopped myself and my brother walking out of the bathroom and questioned why we brought our soda cups into the bathroom with us and wanted to know if we had mixed alcohol in it?!?! There is this thing going around called covid, not leaving our drinks on a random table while we go pee ... Awkward AF...despite that we had fun.
Great place to bowl. Lane conditions can be tricky at times, typically medium oil on their house shot and has high backend action at the start of the series, then smooths out somewhat by the 3rd game. Adjust your arsenal accordingly and good luck!
This bowling alley has had an upgrade. New roof, newer tables and chairs. Looks better and the lanes are kept up pretty well. Lots of seating available for tournaments and groups. Nice staff. Clean bathrooms. Definitely a good place to go bowling!
Considering there's not a lot to do in this town my family enjoyed getting together here. Very accommodating Reply: Yes just the roofing and AC repairs would have made the experience more comfortable and enjoyable as the catch bucket was in our lane.
Used to come here on occasion, typical bowling lanes, staff are friendly. You can catch a deal if you're early, sorta like a matinee for the movies. Major plus is they actually make good drinks here and have basic beer selection. Food wasn't bad and gets the job done.
Nice place to unwind and have some fun. Bowling prices were inexpensive. Food and beer prices, OUCH! But pretty typical for bowling alleys. Would have given a 4 stars but the food service was slow and by the time we got it. the order wasn't done right and had to be returned. You boys should read the menu carefully before making the food.
Overpriced for the area ($5 for a single soda is too much). Equipment is very old, but still works. Customer service needs a lot of work.
One of the children put a pay heart and hit for $4 and it took out $44 and she is having a hard time getting her fund s back
Fun but at night be prepared for lights out so you can't see the arrows on the lanes to line up your roll
I'm from TX and I totally love the relationship with AFM & Bowlero. I'm here for work and wanted to get some good BOWL time in. When I tell you that customer services was on point with some of the employees there. Just to name drop a couple: Samantha, Ariel and I believe his name was Chad is amazing. The personalities were infectious. Samantha, was superb at that front desk. She smiled and had great conversations as she was handing me my shoes. When I was bowling, I seen Chad having an amazing time with the
Nice Place To Enjoy Family!
Great atmosphere good food. People was coming in with their families and the children look like they were loving the family time! I will go back when In the area again!!!
This was the worst bowling alley I've ever been to. It actually smelled like a portable toilet and the best part was the employees knew and did nothing about it. There was old paper plates with half eaten pizza on them at our table (I'm assuming from a previous birthday party.) I left feeling like I'd contracted a disease.
Says masks required but they obviously are not. Staff not enforcing. Hot dog left over from yesterday or nuked until it dried out. Roof leaks old and new with buckets out to catch drips. Asked to move lanes to not eat by buckets but denied by staff. Lane next to us not working so they did move them. $75 for 3 games and shoes for 4 people if no military discount
They've done a lot to improve the place since I was here last. I usually go on base but it's closed on Sundays now. Prices are a touch higher but the place is clean and remodeled. A good alternative
We had a party of 10 for a friends birthday and had our 3 year old grandson that place has plenty of room and the food was good and the bar was stocked up well and it didn't brake the bank
Was brand new. And great. I used to bowl at the place that was near the Foxy lady Buy both were torn down. Because of flooding. Now it is gone..AMF is a great family place. Great for fun days ????
Very old. Shoes falling apart but we had a blast. Did not try any food. There are some video games and a pool table. I was a little shocked show rental and game price were the same almost $5 each. Regardless it was good family fun.
Clean and neat. Staff was soso. Very expensive but lots of fun.
Today was mine and my husband's first time there. We went to bowl a tournament . Something broke on one of our lanes so they had to move us. The staff of the bowling alley as well as the tournament directors went way out of there way to accommodate us and were so friendly and apologetic that it made us really wish we lived close enough to bowl there on a regular basis. Can't wait to have the opportunity to bowl another tournament there.
Had a sports tournament in town and brought the team to AMF for a night of bowing fun. Great service for our group. Victoria was very patient and helpful!
Recently started bowling in Goldsboro. Becoming a fan of AMF Boulevard Lanes. The Staff are super friendly and quick to help. Not used to paying for shoes, but Tori informed me of their special deals that definitely make up for it. Can't wait to go back.
Took my five year old and she had a blast!! Only problem was one of the staff members (Samantha). I questioned my bill and she was rude with her explanation. I paid and then realized she had over charged me for shoe rental. When I bought it to another staff member (Bambi), she (Bambi) apologized and went to question Samantha. Samantha then blurts out, "I don't know what she doesn't get; I've explained it to her"....which made me get rude with her. Kuddos to Bambi for being helpful and handling it.
Nearly empty when I went. Love that. The lanes are in great shape. The computers didn't glitch or anything. No food was served on location.
Loved it! Very Clean and neat. Bartender was super nice and the food and drinks were great!
This was an outting for the kids but all had a good time, clean and well staffed I would have given this 5 stars but everything is VERY expensive $18. for 2 soft drinks & 1 cheese nacho ...crazy !!!
Had a great time and and was affordable. Go on and have some fun. Bring the whole crowd.
I bowl league on Sundays there.or better yet used to. Will not be able to coming back spending anymore money there. When management closes because of a strain of the flu that's been blown out of proportion by the media. Will never set foot back in any of their buildings.
No air conditioning, shot was not a house shot, and if it was I would not bowl there. I won't go back because it was cooler outdoors at 91 than inside. 60 bowlers in a tournament and can't have air-conditioning. Prices too high for food and drinks
We went on a Monday night and Google said they were open till 11. The problem was the fact that we got there around 8:45 and used a Groupon for 2 hours of bowling. The lady behind the desk didn't even let us finish our 2nd game and turned us off at 10. We asked if we could please finish and she said no. We basically wasted a 2 hour voucher because she wanted to close early.
I went there on 2/17/19 . I've been to this bowling alley my whole life never had a seriously big problem till tonight 1. I told the guy I wanted dr.pepper he said okay , I started to drink it and it tasted like Pepsi I asked him to pour it out and make it again and he did and it still tasted like Pepsi. Later that night I went back up there asked a different guy for a refill he said what did I said dr.peppper he told me they did not have dr.pepper . When I was headed to pay my bill me and 3 people were sp
I had a bad experience there recently. Lets just say the Leauge/tourment bowlers have bowlers edict that regular people would not know and have no reason to know. The general manager called me and explained in depth what the issue was and apologized for how the issue was handled. I appreciate the call.
It's fun and cheap before 6 is only 5.99 per person for each game and you can rent bowling shoes if you dont have any
This is a great place to have fun. Friendly staff, usually not too crowded. Only downside is the hours, they dont normally open before 12 on most days.
My most recent visit here was the 2nd time after the first time of being disappointed i thought id give it one more try to see, well yet again i was very disappointed! We go in and get the lane for 3 people i was the only adult and 2 under ten children the cost was 36.88, which was the most ive ever paid for bowling... we get our shoes and our lane set up ready to bowl, the music was hard rap, and for a "family" atmosphere it was horrible, songs about cocaine, sex, and of course violence, i don't know of ma
They should get clear on how they treat Groupon customers. Don't waste your money or time. Wish i could give them a negative one star.
I'm not from this area so I found this place extremely expensive compared to what I was used to but it was clean and the staff was pleasant.
Very inconvenient that you can't even bring your own water
Best place to have a kids birthday party ! Staff was very nice ! I would definitely recommend this place and it's a must we come back !
Great place but I ordered mozzarella sticks and the hug never got them to me so idk what's happening? they were 6.30$
My son had a birthday party in April didn't get the proper service that I requested there
Friendly service and really clean. Had my son's birthday party there and had a great time
Musty odor, game prices seem steep. Friendly staff. Water fountain broken. Although they provided ice water.
Could have had fun but some staff seemed bothered if we asked questions about anything. Disappointing because my family and I are very patient and easy going
One of the only places to go in Goldsboro with thr family. We always have a great time together when we go. Once in a while you get a lane that acts up but the workers are there to fix it.
Bowling was fun and kruz I think was his name cooked some good food for my kid
Nice and clean. Good environment. Equipment kept malfunctioning though. Took a long time to get fixed while we were bowling.
This place was very nice friendly clean food was very pricey but the balls and equipment shoes and everything were almost all new bowling was probably about average cost
Good clean fun that I have not had in a long time
Had a really great time, just didn't like the food portion closed so early!
Haven't been bowling in a really long time and I had a fantastic time here. No complaints whatsoever.
It was fun. I love bowling now. It was my first time going there. I would like seeing my family an my friends there
Awesome night with family and friends. Samantha and her team were great. Will come again.
They have Lord Of The Rings pinball in great condition, nuff said! Clean, pop music, southern culture and food. I saw the machine feet from the door and smiled.
A nice place to go and have fun.
The place was ok. The service could've been better and more fast but it was ok.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
