Overall, this bowling alley receives mostly positive feedback for its friendly staff, family-friendly atmosphere, and fun environment. Many enjoy the food, drinks, and clean facilities, though some find prices high for bowling, shoes, and arcade games. We had a great time!! I'll definitely be back. Awesome atmosphere for it to be so early in the day

If you're looking for a place to enjoy with family, DO NOT come here expecting to get a lane right away. I arrived at almost 8pm (party of 4) and didn't get a lane until almost 10pm. I get they had a league /tournament going on but 2 hours waiting AND empty lanes....Come on!! I could only imagine what the food service or bar service would have been like. To each their own experience, but this was ours.

It was $90 bucks for 3 ppl. We got shoe rental and two hours on our own lane. The music was ok . It was playing pop hits or top hits. I don't like the sierra song because it plays the music video up on these big screens that the had up every couple lanes. They are missing some sizes for bowling balls tho! That's the only reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. I couldn't find a large enough one. They had extra small and small which is definitely for the kids. I could have waited 30 mins on one from the bac

What an absolutely fun family outing. We've never experienced this amount of fun back in South Africa when playing temping bowling. It believe it's got everything to do with the company you keep and the bowling ?? places you visit. Definitely recommend visiting AMF American Lanes for your next fun family day, or even for your next date. It definitely won't disappoint.

I came Saturday and the bowling staff were nice and friendly. But the light skin female bartender was extremely rude to everyone with me ordering. She stayed on the phone, texted, acted like we were bothering her, didn't want to make our drinks and they were more juice than alcohol. I will return but I will not buy a drink if I see her there

I enjoyed bowling there and would love to come there again

We celebrated our daughter Isabella?s birthday on January 28th. I cannot tell you how satisfied we are with the entire party. Please forgive me as I didn't collect names. We were greeted with a smile, the GM was so attentive and responsive at all times. The gentleman who brought our food and kept checking up on us was amazing! Our guests had so much fun (I think the adults had more fun than the kids). Each and everyone of your staff was spectacular! Keep up the great work and I can't wait to come back becau

Waited 45 minutes to an hour for my son's (with autism and usually not very patient. Thank goodness he was a trooper) chicken tenders and fries

I attended a birthday party at the bowling alley today. Everything ran very smoothly. The kids had a blast bowling and playing games in the arcade. There was an abundance of food supplied for lunch as well. I would recommend this for a birthday party!

We had a great time. We had not been bowling in years. The lanes were great. The place was clean. The atmosphere was fun and the service was excellent. We bowled a game then got some food and drinks that were better than some of the restaurants that we have visited in the area. We will definitely be returning.

I had my daughter?s birthday party there. When we walked in no one was there at the table to greet us. There was open chips and salsa sitting on the table with people walking all around it. The party was suppose to start at one. I had to go to the counter to get someone. They were in a meeting. So finally trying to get started thinking we had a party host. No host. The host we were suppose to have didn't come over and host the party. She told me how to put the names on the board. We lost 30 minutes trying t

Mixed feelings- got a decent deal on bowling on Groupon for our family - it was super easy to use. The location was really busy and you can't pre-reserve lanes when you use the Groupon, so I consider us lucky to get a lane. There were limited staff and it took over 45 minutes to get our extremely over-priced drinks. The food order was awful - also, extremely over-priced. We spent over $100 on food and drinks alone- going bowling is not a budget friendly activity. Eat before you go to save a bunch of money.

Only 1 person working the bar and bowling counter. Very much feels like a business that is skimping on their labor costs to try to make ends meet at the cost of poor service. I couldn't recommend this place unless you really don't mind standing around waiting, 1hr+ to order a drink.

Once the new bowling alley opens at town center in Covington this place will shut down. Amf Conyers has terrible management.

Excellent service, excellent food, excellent drinks! We had a lot of fun as a family! 100% recommended this place

I always have a really good time when I go. The place is a little outdated with somethings, like the gutters are not automatic but still a nice place to go. I didn't really care for their food, kinda of expensive for something I don't care for.

This was my first time visiting here and I really enjoyed myself. Joseph at the front desk was so pleasant and helping!! He was cleaning everything down. Assisting everyone with great customer service !! I will be returning!! I think I found a new place for me and my family to bowl !!

We went to hang out with some friends, but didn't expect to have such a great time! The bowling was fun, especially for the kids! Staff was really helpful and kind and understanding with all the kids running around. All the games available made it even more fun, so some kids that didn't want to bowl would have more to do. Everything was priced just right (considering 3+ hours of engagement), and I would highly recommend it if you're in the area!

We spent my wife's friend's husband's birthday rocking, and bowling. The bowling alley was a little dated, we had difficulty getting our ball back, and the pins fell after being set up.

It was a real cool place to bowl good place to enjoy bowling with the family

Good clean wholesome bowling center certified for tournament bowling and also good for family bowling full size bar and a well-equipped snack bar everything from nacho cheese the hot dogs and hamburgers and pizza

We had a great time! Even our teenagers who don't usually want to leave their video games was having a great time. Thank you AMF

Racist racist racist establishment! Called the police on a group of young black men when they could have just asked our group to leave! Our group couldn't even enjoy ourselves because the white employees kept circling our group all night bothering us and were rude and hostile as soon as we stepped foot in the building you could feel they didn't want us there when we were just out trying to enjoy ourselves we weren't bothering anybody but that the experience of being young and black in America right? Shame o

We will be returning again we had a fun evening for my husband's birthday.

Great time here with grandson. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

It was good me and my siblings had a good time.

I liked going bowling with my family and friends. They also offer liquor and food.

I'm sorry but I feel like I got ripped off. I understand it's a business and things go a certain way. But that's how I feel. I paid $500 for a party of 10. I feel that is a little outrageous. We could of went to six flags for the day with that. So the issue is with reserving for party in advance vs just reserving for a party. No one answers the phone in a timely manner. To iron out details. We tried our best to reserve in advance but no call backs. So I reserved online and ended up paying more because ther

Family friendly atmosphere. The Staff is very nice and friendly too. Very lively place and fun place with lots of games for the little ones.

We went on a Monday around 3:30pm. It wasn't crowded so it was perfect for myself and my 10 yr old son. We had a great time!

It's open late! I couldn't figure out where to take my teen, didn't want to go to a place too crowded, due to covid-19. I found this really nice spot to bowl until midnight. We had a great time here.

I hosted a birthday party here, and the staff was fantastic. They were extremely friendly and accommodating and checked on our party multiple times. We had an amazing time! Can't wait to come back.

Date day with hubby! We may not be great bowlers but it's always fun. The staff is super friendly and helpful. It was a hopping place for a Tuesday afternoon with lots of families and groups enjoying a rainy day out!

It was super clean in here and the staff is very friendly. Throughout our whole time here, we noticed that the staffing was constantly cleaning tables or the lanes which was very nice. They had great deals on beer and pizza, and our beer pitcher was very cold which was great. Definitely coming back here again.

My son's class night bowling was a success thanks to school sponsors and AMF.

The drinks are expensive for a bowling alley. Call before you go. See if a bowling league is there. If so, get there at around 9:30 when they start to clear out. The food is pretty good though.

I only go here for the drinks but this place is a very chill spot. The bartender, Zeb, is great at his job. Good conversation and his drinks get the job done. One of these days I'll actually go for bowling

I like going to this bowling alley. The staff is super friendly and helpfull. They have great leagues to join. I love spending time with my family here.

This is a great bowling alley with great customer service and a small town feel. Specials on Sundays and throughout the week are great. As the only bowling alley in Conyers, it could stand to be renovated

We had a fun night playing games and making friends. We enjoyed ourselves and cannot wait to come back!

Really enjoyed myself along with my family. Staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions even though they seemed a bit busy. Great atmosphere and clean environment. Just a heads up? I went on a Saturday and I must say? the lines were backed up a bit. It's best to schedule prior to arrival via website.

Nice family night out, friends outing, or date night. I have been the last 2 Sunday's after 8pm when the price is $4 per person per game. We always have a nice time and the atmosphere is pleasant and the business is clean for an older building. The staff is nice and helpful as well!

Second time to visit..good family fun. Staff and food were excellent.

AMF is cool place for Family and friends to go bowling. Really good pricess and the food is good too. Family prefers the wings and mozzarella sticks (bites). We are used to Army bases Bowling Alleys and this one has a similar vibe. We will be trying to do Wednesdya ir Thursday Biwling nights as we have before. Just go check it out.

Great atmosphere. The kids had lots of fun, especially when they went "cosmic". The staff at the food counter were really slow though. It took over ten minutes for someone to even come to the counter so I can order some sodas. They need a bell or some way of notifying them that there's a customer waiting. Other than that, we had a lot of fun and the place was clean and tidy.

Great place, awesome pro shop, fair prices to bowl, a little pricey on shoe rentals, id say buy your own. Nice lanes, first time here, I will be back!

The music is USUALLY pretty good? Wait time varies sometimes it's pretty quick to get in depending on how early you showed up?other times wait can be almost an hour+. The bartender is always unfriendly, takes forever and always seems to be in a bad mood. There are times we have tried to place orders with her and she has ignored us completely? There are times where we have walked up and had to intentionally get her attention several times because it's like we're not there at all. By far the worst bartender

Great place for a fun outing. Very clean, customer service was excellent and the beer was nice and cold.

I took my little one here for his birthday. The agent at the front was exceptional and very helpful and patient. I would say the only part of the experience that could have been better was that more than one ball would have been nice to bowl with in our lane, and I am not sure if you can order & pay for food when you check in and have it delivered to your table , but that would be nice instead of interrupting your bowling to order.

Family Fun Time the kids enjoyed themselves......make sure you don't forget how many games you brought ..they will not tell you when a new game starts and will charge your card if you play too long....I caught mine just in time....

It was a great experience. The lanes were oiled and the ball gets great movement. The bathroom and facilities are clean. The price is very reasonable about ten dollars per person a game. That includes lane and shoe rental. A little understaffed but they worked to give good service.

They need some help with staffing. One woman was running the front desk and the bar at the same time. It wasn't super busy, so I would've hated to know the wait had it been prime time. We enjoyed playing the arcade games with our 4 year old, and the atmosphere is fun.

Came here because it was close to home. We should have driven a little further to a nicer place. It's just dated, and most especially the seating area for the lanes is the worst I have ever seen. Two lanes had to share 1 table. I wanted some of the water that was in a dispenser, but there were no cups. Since the concession stand had a long line, I went to the bar to ask for a cup. The bartender just told me that she was washing dishes and turned her back on me. For 100 dollars, I will be going somewh

I guarantee if you come here. You will come back. That's exactly what I plan to do. The GM Carlos was awesome. I was calling around d for a new house. Some with Joe the assistant manager. Very polite and helpful. Although you know he has to answer the same question all day. Can't say enough about the service. The clean appearance of the center. The over all welcoming of the staff. If this place is a secret gem. I am calling them a ten.

The bartender was the bomb!!! She did an awesome job making sure we were satisfied and comfortable.

We had a Christmas party there. It was fine the cheese pizza was very good. The salad was over dressed making it soggy. The drinks depending upon who made them were good. The cashier needs to stick totaking payments her drinks were not very good, but she was nice as far as service.

A safe, fun and not overly expensive place. You can bring the whole family, or just a date, and have a great time here. The food is average, but it's a bowling alley!! This is to be expected. Alcohol is available, with a decent selection to choose from. The staff was exceptionally cool, friendly and helpful, every time that we engaged them.

Had soo much fun with my friends I enjoyed the whole experience ??

I love this place, but it could be cleaner and more modern. Looks like some of the stuff is from the 80s. They have great leagues and staff. The pro shop is not open that much, but they have great stuff.

The bowling experience itself was great, I enjoyed the new table compared to the plastic chairs that they had previously. The customer service was terrible though, they were trying to charge me and my family more than what was being advertised on the website for Sunday funday and it was after 8pm, they only lowered the price after showing I was in the military. When checking out we got in line with everyone else and it became our turn they didn't even a knowledge me only nodding their head when asking wher

I'm giving 5 stars based mostly on the employee who was there alone handling EVERYTHING by himself. He literally was handling the front desk, bar and grill on his own. As stressful as I know that was for him (and yes we did have to wait a bit for service) he handled it like a champ! I'm sure a few others who showed up after us were put out by the wait, but as far as I could see he kept his cool and handled it all like a pro. All that aside, we had a wonderful family day out. Thank you Joseph for making our

The whole family enjoyed the experience and excitement of the music, food and the friendly atmosphere and staff we plan to return soon ??

I had a great time with my church family

They have good drinks. I ordered nachos but they didn't put my meat in it they said they ran out of chicken. When I ask her about it. She brought me some more with everything on it. Including chili, was very good. So that was good. Although they should have told me. Very friendly environment. My family and I had lots of fun. Very nice place to go in Conyers

Best bowling experience ever!! Staff was amazing and friendly.

Great place to go with family and friends!! Can't wait to go again !! The staff is amazing!!

The staff was exceptional! Hailey in particular made my family's experience great; she went above and beyond!! I would definitely return to this venue for future events.

Cosmic bowling only lasted here for an hour. Even less time because one of the customers had to tell the staff to cut off the lights. This was not a bowling alley that cultivated fun. The card machine for the games doesn't work unless you have cash. There were no signs. The projector screens was nice but they may need extra staff. Don't buy into the unlimited bowling either it's a waste of money.

Plenty lanes and balls. The place was clean and the personnel friendly. Also enjoyed the giant sized Miss Pac Man game and the Air Hockey. Great place for family outing.

Haven't been bowling in years. Totally enjoyed myself bowl, drink & eat! We had fried cauliflower w/parm & garlic butter - parm fries w/garlic butter and sweet chili tenders. Drinks on point and you can "make em bigger" for an extra $5. Good music variety loved the 90's. Oh and the small arcade was cool (biker, racing, shots) especially liked the photo booth, you can use your game card for the booth 1, 2 or 4 pics. Staff very friendly and the group of ppl bowling next to us were very helpful giving us p

They Absolutelywill let you enter and bowl without face mask. It was a group of 8 teenagers they let it. They are understaffed so if your expecting to see employees sanitizing it's not happening. The handful of staff they have are friendly and helpful. No extra precautions are being taken. Bowling was an enjoyable experience. Couldn't order food because no one was the to take my order.

Never coming here again.. everytime this place always disappoints. Gave it one shot cause my dad loves bowling and it's the closest bowling alley without driving 40 mins. Well we simply just wanted a drink until we go up to the concession bar and they tell us we have to go up front to buy stuff? So of course I'm confused and say something because it's a Saturday so unless the register was down, I don't understand why the front was the only register able to do transactions. My dad then goes up to said regist

Children enjoyed the bowling and the few arcade games. There is a mandatory gratuity if you purchase food. I didn't find the food appetizing per looks so I didn't order anything. However when I did ask if they had shoestring french fries the gentleman told me no but they do have shoe string french fries I just thought that to be kind of funny ??. I found most of the staff to be very helpful and pleasant. May the Lord bless this establishment and its status.

We take the grandkids and we all have a great time. They have the bumpers for my granddaughter so she can learn without rolling a gutter ball every throw. Lanes are in great shape. Good food too!

I had soooo much fun with family. The drinks was off the chain and I won. Hahaha. I would definitely go again cause the Dj was on it with the Playlist. The bar tender with the nice shape hooked up our drinks too.

Staff is great and very friendly and the place is fun and if u don't want to bowl they have pool tables n arcade games. I am a regular at this place!

I'd give it more stars if it didn't cost so damn much. Between the cost to bowl, rent shoes eating isn't happening nor is playing the arcade when they want to charge you $2.00 to get a arcade card when loading money onto the card than almost every game cost "5-6" credits.

6 of us went bowling and had a really good time. The person taking the orders did not know much but she was friendly and honest about not knowing. I prefer that over the opposite any day. We had the mozzarella sticks and boneless wings and they were cooked in fresh oil and to perfection. The premade drinks are not good. But the jack n cola (Pepsi products) was priced well.

We had a family outing. The lanes and bowling balls seemed to be in very good condition. Out of 2 games and 3 lanes, we only had to call for assistance with a lane once. The arrangement of tables w/ seats to lanes was off so while we had three lanes there were only 2 tables. The AMF team seemed to be understaffed so there was one person having to wear many hats. They were the bartender, the food runner, and sometimes front desk coverage. The children were distracted by bowling, and we understood there was o

Our book club was a huge hit!! We discussed the book, ate, and bowled 3 games..fun times??

They took out all the lane seating , if they weren't so understaffed it would be better . I understand covid and all but the cashier was running back and fourth making drinks at the bar and running the main register, dude deserves a raise.

Walking into AMF Conyers, because my bowling alley is hosting a college for the next two days so they don't have no lanes available. I proceed to the counter and they asked me what I like to play on a sport shot or a house shot. They explained that they had a fresh cheetah pattern available. They also told me that every Saturday they have a different sport shot available and if I car prior to that Saturday I can have whatever pattern I want out on the lane ?no additional charge. They have instantly won my b

Great lanes, clean facility and friendly employees. Will definitely be going back

Pizza was great I hope they get some more help. The one young lady ran the cash register and the bar (ALL WITH A SMILE ON HER FACE). She did a great job and thank you for your great customer service.

Yesterday my family, another family & I met at the bowling alley to get the kiddos out of the house. Joe was THE ONLY employee there at the time. He ran the front desk, kitchen & bar alone. He was so friendly & did an amazing job to serve our group of TEN! He's a very hard worker. Thank you Joe for your attentiveness & patience. See you next time!

We went on a Saturday night, and found it was not overcrowded, people was very nice. We had lots of fun. Only thing I would say the bathroom needs to be cleaner. Just use bathroom before you get there. Other than that I will go back again.

We had a really good time. The drinks were good and the food was just ok.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pool tables in arcades still good in this modern age?

Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
