Great selection of games, and you get a lot of tokens for your money, which means plenty of playtime. Every once in a while I'd have a game eat my token and not give me a play, but it was rare. I only spent an hour or two here, but I could have easily spent longer. Lots of cool information is available within displays and on the walls, so it was a cool educational experience as well. ACAM is a great thing for video game preservation.
We had such a great time. My husband and I felt like little kids. My kiddo had a blast as well. Such a great time!! There's so many options, bowling, mini golf, ski ball, air hockey, and not to mention the third floor chalk full of old school arcade games. We truly had such a great time. You get to walk in, throw some money in the machine for coins and start playing. We highly recommend.
Drove 6.5 hours to get there and arrived about 45 minutes before they were closing early for employee appreciation day. How nice! Drove 6.5 hours home and came back a couple weeks later. The place is AMAZING! It's also located where a lot of bikers go, so you can see some amazing bikes while you're in town. What a cool place. If you're a gamer, go support this place, you wont be disappointed.
American Classic Arcade Museum Review ????? | A Nostalgic Trip Back in Time If you're a fan of retro video games, the American Classic Arcade Museum in Laconia, New Hampshire, is a must-visit destination! ??? Located inside Funspot, the world?s largest arcade, this museum offers a one-of-a-kind experience packed with vintage gaming nostalgia. Step Into the Golden Age of Gaming ? From the moment you walk in, you're transported back to the 70s, 80s, and 90s with the sounds of pixelated music and flashing l
This is our go to date night spot. Love the old pinball machines and arcade games. Great for any age. If you want a quieter less busy time go at night around 730pm.
As a kid of the '80s, I grew up in arcades. I cannot reasonably describe how absolutely cool. this place is. For me it brought back so many childhood memories. I while I realize this probably isn't as incredible for the cell phone generation because it doesn't look futuristic nor is it covered in neon lights and glow-in-the-dark reflective paint. This at least for me was one of the coolest places I've ever randomly stopped at while traveling. Would recommend...
Amazing! I'm a child of the 80's so this arcade is like Disney World! ALL the classic video arcade games are here and playable. Cheap, too! Most games are only one token. Lots of vintage pinball machines, too.
Walking in, we had no idea what we were about to see but it was awesome! There were rows and rows of vintage video games(frogger, pinball, etc) You purchase coins and that's how you are able to play the games. There are 2 floors of games and it's huge! Make sure you walk the whole place, there are tons of games to play and see. There's also a mini golf course within it, a small arcade with newer games, ski ball lanes, and of course a gift shop. Ticket to prize value was great. We were able to get the most "
Best time ever! Fun and clean. The whole family had a blast. The old school pinball was my favorite. Sunset out the back door ??
Fantastic blast from the 80's! Nearly every popular video game from the 80's. Three floors of games. Miniature golf, ski ball, pinball machines, air hockey, games of chance for tickets to redeem for prizes, a bowling alley and a pub too. There's something for all ages. 110 tokens for $20. All the classic arcade games require one token. Most of the pinball machines required at leat two and some of the multi-player games required five. Pizza was better than bad style grub. Will definitely visit again, when i
Floors of classic, old, and new arcade games for all ages. There are skee-ball games on the 1st floors. On the 3rd floor is an indoor mini golf. There are games that you can win tickets and redeem for prizes. There are food sections on the 1st and 3rd floor. 5 bucks for 20 tokens. We had a fun time and definitely come back again. Plenty of parking spaces.
Okay... overall it's great! Some of the pinball machines do show their age and I think the amount of tokens you get for $20 changed, and many machines are now 2 through 4 tokens... but it's a great time!
Love this place but it's a double edged sword. The pinball games in the new Pinball Outpost are FANTASTIC. Classics like The Addams Family, Cyclone, Pin Bot, Xeneon and Funhouse have all been refurbished with new play fields and bright lighting. They are working great and you definitely need to check these out. Kudos to whoever has been renovating these classics. The arcade on the top floor, the "museum" area needs some work. So many of the machines are in poor condition or just not working at all. D
Awesome place. Stopped here on way home from mt Washington and was pleasantly surprised. Just imagine every old school video game from your corner store back in the day is there. And actually work. I didn't take any pictures was too busy walking around with tokens in my hand torn between what games to play. Crazy.
Favorite place to have fun year round. Got a hole in one today!
Ever since I was a kid I've loved this place and now I bring my kids there so much fun and in summer go karts is so awesome .. I literally feel like a kid again when I go there.. decent food and BINGO is fun.. I would recommend this place to anyone even adults
An incredible must visit for any classic arcade fan. Hundreds of the best classic arcade games in great working condition and they only charge the original price of twenty-five cents in most cases. This was a delightful visit down memory lane. I only was able to enjoy a couple of quick hours that flew by but I could have spent days there!
What a great place! The games are in great shape. The music and lighting brings you back into the 70's and 80's. The $20 for 125 tokens lasted me all day. A great value. Highly recommended if you love classic games.
3 levels of arcade junkie bliss. This was the second time I visited and spent hours playing all the retro games on the top floor.
We had a ton of fun here!
Such an amazing place! Tons upon tons of games and other activities to do. The food was also amazing!
This is the first floor of the Fun Spot. The biggest Arcade in the world! We loved it! It has every game you can think of. Three floors of them! A bowling alley & indoor mini golf course! Upstairs they have a free party room & souvenir shop. The third floor has a fast food restaurant & skee ball along with the prize redemption center. I highly recommend coming to New Hampshire to see this awesome arcade!
Free to get in. Kid spent 25bucks on tokens and had 2 hrs of winning fun. Huge place and lots n lots of old games. Flash back for someone my age
Wow! It's like a museum of video games. Fun for adults and kids with really great ticket prize options.
Fun Spot is the best. I love candle pin bowling even thou I'm terrible at it.
Great place to run out the kids on a rainy day. Super fun to walk around and see all the older games.
So much fun. Played a bunch of old arcade games. Got a slice of pizza, and grabbed a beer from the tavern. Plus I love that they are open late. This is a must stop for a fun day.
It was an awesome experience. Grew up coming here and playing a lot of these arcade games, pinball machines and bowling too. So much nostalgia and good times to be had.
This place was amazing!!!! They have every type of game. My daughter and Son-in-Law took us here and I was just blown away at how many games they had. And something for every age. Even my 2 year old grandson was kept busy (mostly by the little cars he could drive). A great time was had by all!!!!
A super important place of preservation for the history of arcades, a staple of American youth culture all those years ago. $10 could net you a few hours in here easily. Some machines are display only, but most are playable for the classic price of $0.25 for arcades, and $0.50 for the pins. The pinball machines are hit or miss in terms of quality, but in general, you can't beat the atmosphere of the ACAM. Come play some games, and donate to help keep this history alive!
Mini golf was lots of fun with my Neice and Nephew. Fun spot is a great place to go to play games! Highly recommend??
Came for my grandsons birthday. Having a great time. The pizza here is the best. ??
This place is awesome . I take my kids yearly. I enjoy seeing/playing the old arcades I grew up with and my kids laugh at me being a kid again lol. I also enjoy the new games offered. While there we always get pizza for lunch. Food is great and atmosphere is fantastic for all. Definitely a place to go NO matter your age. ??
Really fun location if you love retro (pinball/old school) or modern games. There's 3 levels of fun for kids and adults alike.
It's consistently fun and worth the trip. The employees are helpful if a machine eats your coins . I travel about an hour and a half to occasionally go here with friends.
If you have bad things to say about Fun Spot, you're not someone I would want to associate with. It's a 45 year-old's dream.
Wow amazing amount of classics in working condition. Like stepping back in time.
We have had parties here for my kids every year for the past 10+ years. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The games are nostalgic and we always have a great time.
Lots of games to play here. A few VERY old ones for display only. I was a little surprised that some of the common games we used to play were nowhere to be found.
Funspot is always a great time. A must see for sure. Largest arcade in the world.
This place is absolutely my favorite place in New Hampshire. Bill left a great legacy, and I'm always excited to be there. That being said, the machines used to be well maintained, and dip switches all worked well, like they just came out of the factory, During this recent visit, I was rather disappointed with how many machines were down and out of order or on and not responding well. I'm not sure why I fear they may be in need of a cabinet maintenance operator. Some of the classiic machines need new dip
You could be a 5 year old or a 70 year old. You're having fun here
Lots of fun. Great for all ages.
Five stars in every way for a classic arcade enthusiast. Amazing collection, from the selection to the quantity. Great atmosphere in the building. This is one of the best things in New England, very kid friendly, and the cost for an afternoon there is super reasonable.
Being a child of the seventies. This place really brought back a lot memories of the nostalgic video games that I grew up with. We bought our children here on Father's Day and they had a blast. There are 3 floors of nothing but video games and ticket machines. To go there is very inexpensive as well. We got a 125 tokens for 20 bucks and most of the games are 25 cents like they used to be. There are a few games that are 50 cents or a dollar but most of them are 25 cents . This bucket of coins lasted us all
My guy took me on a "date" here because im a gamer. I absolutely loved this place!!
Fun, fun and more fun. Food, drinks, ice cream, bowling, mini golf. Place is huge. Free to get in, but things inside will cost you. Worthwhile to check it out, fun for all ages. Enjoyed the mini golf as the teens played video games. Felt safe, even around sweaty teens. Not overly crowded the times we went.
Been coming here for 50 years. Year round family fun. Seriously fun for all ages! Biwl8ng and Bingo too.

Came here for a day in September and had an amazing time. So much variety in terms of video games, mini golf and bowing just to name a few. Took a nice stroll down memory lane after playing various arcade games for hours. Nice bar and drink selection just next to the bowling. I heard the pizza was great too, but did not partake. If you have any nostalgia for 80s arcade games, this is a must do!
Honestly, pretty good collection of arcade games, which is a dying breed these days, they even have a homebrew for Donkey Kong II (not JR, you read that correctly) which is a rom-hack of the original game. that does make me ask why they don't just instal a Polybius cabinet, since they're fine with installing some fanmade hacks and even some bootlegs, but I can understand due to it being Polybius, even if it's just a fanmade recreation of the game. I noticed a couple of games (including the Donkey Kong II c
Great place for that nostalgic arcade experience. They have just about everything you remember from when you were a kid. It's awesome that this bit of videogame history exists in New Hampshire.
My husband is a retro gaming enthusiast and there were so many there that brought back memories for him. We had great fun playing games and 10 pin. Loved it.
I have been visiting funspot for at least 20 years, since I was a toddler. Kids love it and there is a huge variety of things to do. Some games will eat your coins but the staff there is ready to help when that happens. Fun for kids and adults.
Absolutely amazing and so much fun, even on the coldest days of the year! I would recommend that anybody into arcades visit and at least spend 20 dollars. The staff are also very kind and helpful, I hope this place stays as an amazing attraction for years to come.
This place was really cool! Located within Funspot, it's a great place to stop for some retro games! Machienes were all maintained beautifully, and they were only .25C per play! Definitely a blast from the past, would recommend.
I absolutely love visiting here. I really enjoy seeing arcade games that I haven't seen in forever and reading some interesting facts about some of the machines.
As a cleverly disguised adult, this is my Mecca! Pinball, arcade games, skee ball and so much more. As someone who grew up in the beginning of video and arcade games, I can't believe all the games they had that had never seen or heard of before. Hopefully this will not be the only time I go. It was definitely worth the drive!
Lucky to have this as a local resource! Thank you for preserving this part of our history and allowing us to have a stroll down memory lane from 30-40 years ago! Staff has always been friendly 100% of the time over the years, it's a testament to the family who own and manage this place! Keep up the great work!!!!
A total jump back in time to when times were simple. This place is amazing.
Great place, great environment, great games. I'm a little biased since I play games most of the time, but it's worth the time and money. A 20 bill is good for a surprising amount of games. Take the family here, young and old.
Awesome place for kids, and adults bowling, video games, air hockey, and ticket games. Food court downstairs in house pizzeria. With bumper cars, your kids will have a ball. Especially on hot days, it's a fun atmosphere. The only bad thing is the acrade room is very dark! They should light it up more?
This place is awesome. Old and new games all over the place. One thing I didn't like was the amount of games broken that didn't have OOS on them. Staff needs a little customer service training. I told someone about the broken games. "Yup, ok"
Most games were working fine, including most pinball machines. A dedicated group helps maintain this arcade. Don't miss out on the Tavern downstairs! New pinball room is coming in 2023 sometime.
Had lots of fun! Food was actually pretty good! We got pizza crust was good and mozzerela sticks and they were crispy and hot. There is also an ice cream place right next to it with a door and a walk way! There are picnic tables and chairs and a play ground too! So check out the ice cream place!
LOVE THIS PLACE. Every arcade game you could imagine. Ticket earning games for the kiddos and the top floor is all old arcade games. Also have bowling, a bar/restaurant, little drivable animal carts and small rides for the little kids. The have a separate Bingo hall as well, I believe. We went a few weeks ago and they have people walking around cleaning all the machines all day. Great piece of mind to see them disinfecting everything as they go. Great place to hit with the kids or even a trip for just the
All the classics you want to play. Love the history. Love the games. Love the fun. Love the memories of old. I drive almost 8 hours each way to come here every year. I miss their tournaments (both arcade game and pinball). I also miss their high score picture wall.
I have been coming here with friends from Boston for years to enjoy the amazing array of old school video games. Now, I bring my 3 young children here and they love it! Indoor mini golf, hundreds of cabinets and pinball machines, rides for the kids, bowling, a full bar, a restaurant and a ton of other fun stuff to do. This place is just awesome! Also, they installed sanitizing stations all over the place and encourage facemasks. Oh yeah, it's also a museum!
Kinda crowded but that just means it's popular. The staff were not rude but they weren't friendly either. Not expecting a song and dance, but a little courtesy would've been nice. Overall a good experience.
One of a kind, adventure awaits make sure you check it out!~
Fun place, a huge variety of games - they were grouped by developer too, meaning there was an area dedicated to Nintendo, Atari, etc. They have three floors. There are also tickets you can win to exchange for prizes, and there is even a mini golf course inside. Most classic games cost one token, or two if playing with two players. A few dollars will easily offer a lot of tries on a lot of games. Awesome place, would definitely recommend for killing an hour or two, potentially three.
Fun place. Reminds me of a kids casino. Sometimes hard to keep track of kids' location because of lighting and crowds. I love skeeter ball and other manual games but observed many who were really into video games. Exchanging tickets for prizes is worthless but kids enjoyed the fun. Staff was very helpful
super fun! tons of classic arcade games and more. huge place, 3 levels
Free to enter however in order to play games you have to buy tokens and games are between 1 to 4 tokens per game. Great time for the kiddos and us due to the arcade games that we grew up with. Highly recommend!
No tickets to buy in advance, no cover charge.. it's not just a museum! You can use their machines to convert cash into tokens to play any of the 100s of vintage and modern arcade games! You can win tickets and cash them in for prizes. That's the only downfall of the experience in my opinion. The prizes at the ticket counter are ridiculously high. Most families have at least 2 kids but not a bunch of money to use for lots of tokens. And if you don't win at least 2000+ tickets, the prizes they can choose f
A great spot for all ages....every game imaginable, old and new. The staff was friendly and helpful. The cost is reasonable and value is great - $20 could last you all night! Bowling, pool, and air hockey are also fun!!!
I went on a rainy day and was pleasantly surprised as to how many different video games from when I grew up in the 80s and from now. Even had a secret bar for parents to sneak away to for a refreshing beer and pizza!! Staff were all very nice considering how many kids were there.
This place is an amazing blast from the past. You've gotta come check it out!
If you're a child of the 80s/90s like I am, coming here will take you back... maybe to other arcades elsewhere, or maybe you've been coming here since childhood. I grew up going to this place, and Bear Right, which used to be in Concord. You can still surround yourself with the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes (they have a snack bar) of an arcade environment here even if they've died out everywhere else.
Kid loved it. Will be back. Retro games were great too.
Cool place for kids and adults. Spent most of my time in the classic games and a few of them were a bit broken from use so they ate a few tokens. Otherwise very fun!
I like bally and gotlieb single level pinball machines and funspot has a bunch but half are in disrepair or not working. Lazy stuck or not working flipper solenoids, lazy bumpers with no pop left in them. These machines benefit from maintenance so please try harder to keep up with them so we can enjoy an old favorite. Charging two tokens a game for most units , having them fixed should not be too much to expect
Fantastic place which reminded me so much of my childhood , queing to get on some of the arcade games that were all represented in the museum.
Best arcade ever!! You could spend days in here there is so much to do for everyone of all ages. Thrilled we decided to stop and definitely going back!
Love this place. Relive the 80s video games and other stuff.
Fun way to spend an afternoon for those wanting to step back in time and remember a few decades ago. Got $20 worth of coins and played all the games we wanted. Wouls definitely visit again if I was in the area.
Great place to relax and play many vintage video games and even play some mini golf.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
