Sandy, Utah 84070
Avoid this location if possible. The Draper All-Star is much newer, much nicer, has better staff, and also has Pins and Ales, which is an adult only section of the bowling alley with a full bar. The only good thing that I can say about the Sandy location is we were able to get a lane fairly quickly even a busy night. Other than that, the seating is uncomfortable, our lane broke down multiple times and we had to continually try to find someone to get our lane up and running again. We rented the lane for 90
The pizza is good and occasionally the lanes and equipment work properly but you can expect long delays and malfunctions while trying to actually get in a groove mindset and bowl well. The staff is very nice other than the guy that answers the phones who I think goes out of his way to be arrogant and rude. I sure wish they would upgrade this place because we used to love coming here.
The experience was really bad, the pines stopped 5 times, it got stuck every so often, it was uncomfortable and then the pines were thrown to the top and forward, I didn't like it at all, I really didn't like it and a lot of money was spent.
Staff was very rude and unaccommodating to my younger cousin who was new to bowling, and they wouldn't let her have bumpers just because she was 11. Please do not come here. The old lady was watching us like a hawk and was very rude. Not worth the money or the time.
Our server was very rude , her name was Lucy, she was very belittling and very ignorant and disrespectful. It also took our friend?s pizza over an hour to come out and when we asked her where the pizza was she told us ? you will get it when it's ready? in a very condescending manner , and there was a different waiter who had dropped off an appetizer, and didn't say a word, just set it down on the table across from us. Overall this experience wasn't good and I won't be returning. These employees need to work
We went to Bowl for lunch and was able to get a really good game going. I just want to take the time to shout out Ryder I hope I spelled his name right but he hooked it up for us to finish our last game. Thank you for that kind jester. It made our lunch. 5 star!!
The staff was very friendly. It cost us $40 an hour to bowl. We were waiting for our party to show up Leanne came up to ask to see if we were bowling or we were just hanging out. She started joking with us and we started joking back with her. Later she came by and took our food order. Then she came back just to make sure everything was good and everybody was taken care of. We had lots of fun there.
I paid $200 for my kids to play games. And they have it so rig that they cannot win any points. One game my kid played 30 times and won nothing at 2$ a time. Another game was a candy machine it's a 1$ a game and he won two pieces of candy for two dollars. Come one that is 10 cent candy at the store. This place is Rigged do not go there. Other places we go, you can at least win points in its fun. This place is not fun do not go there for the games. Bowling was fine.
Our lane was stuck and no staff was to be found. Not even in the restaurant. Then 5+ minutes later, all of a sudden 4 or 5 staff randomly appeared from different areas of the building. Step one of hospitality is to have your service desk staffed at all times.
All Stats bowling is a cool place. It was built some time ago but still holds up. They no longer let you play per game but you pay per hour. When people left they immediately wiped down and cleaned the area to keep everything covid safe. If you want to go bowling this is a great place to check out.
Real fun with the family but staff uncooperative with lane 14 broke down and later did not return balls.only gave us five minutes and even with another problem on the lane after asking to let us finish our game, did not honor the request. The irony is the place was nearly empty at the time of denial. Suggest if you have a problem with a lane, immediately deal with it. I was denied in speaking to the manager and I hope they will honor the customer when the problem is their issue in the future. Really this is
This is actually a nice bowling facility. It's clean and well maintained. Unfortunately their ball selection is really limited. They have a lot of balls, but they are all identical. The light balls (11 and under) have tiny holes, which could only be used by kids or adults with extremely slim fingers. The heavy balls (12 and up) all have giant holes. If you're like me and prefer something in the middle, like a ten or eleven with medium holes, you won't find one. I checked every ball in room and couldn't find
Not sure if this is an Utah thing but the customer service was poor. Whoever spoke to me hung up on me from the Sandy location. Staff at a different location seemed bothered to help. We are trying to understand how to book a lane and the staff seemed frazzled and had no patience to help. Just really rude staff. Was disappointed but maybe this is how Utah is.
We've had a great experience every time we've gone in. A peaceful arcade not too stimulating and still fun and place for parents to sit while kids play plus their $2 ice cream is yummy!
This alley was amazing! Was there from 1-3:30 on a Thursday and there was not a lot of people there, which I loved. The ball selection is very wide, and there are lots of lanes available. I wish really appreciated the staff and how helpful the lady was (the lane I was bowling in had some troubles). I also got my new big score in bowling here! Might be a little biased, but this alley is AMAZING!!!
Employees were polite. The experience was good. Came here for the free kids bowling which was very nice
The balls were greasy, and when we asked they said that they do not clean the balls. We began to play, and discovered the lane was broken. We told the worker, and they switched us to a different lane, but refused to restart our hour of time that we payed for. The new lane we were bowling at was also broken, and at this point were dissatisfied with the whole experience, so we turned in our shoes and asked for a refund. They only gave us a partial refund, charging us for the time we played on two broken lanes
Schedule a birthday party was a bit tedious but the place was fun and the limited staff were so kind and friendly.
Bowled in lane 22. The roof had a hole in it and was dripping right where we picked up our balls. It kept dripping on our heads. They never came to clean it up. See pics. The computer that kept score would reset incorrectly and leave the spares up for next frames. The bumpers for the kids sometimes worked and sometimes didn't. Ruined the experience for the kids. The kid staff member was seriously put out every time we asked for help. Overall, we couldn't trust the score and the bowling experience was
Great place to let your kid have some fun. I admit prices were a bit pricey, but most things are these days.
Very fun place to go and bowl, and there are games for the kids. I've gone here since I was little even though the name has changed a few times. We spent two hours bowling and it was a lot of fun. The staff was helpful and attentive. We also ordered a pizza which was good. We played a few arcade games, which some had issues and were a little run down, but we mainly were there to bowl. We will go back again. Tons of fun.
Had fun not crazy busy. Kids had fun
Had fun, just throwing that ball down the lane. Uncluttered, clean lanes. Well oiled, good pin action, and reasonable pricing. Three games in under one hour, two ppl. Pleasant, attentive desk staff. Offer soft drinks, beer and pizza, although we did not have any. Only issue we saw was ball selection. Somewhat limited in the 9 &10 pound range, especially with the need for a decent size finger hole. 15 pounds more selection, but most balls are pretty worn out. Kids having a great time. Bumpers are automated.
Our lane broke down 5 times in one game. The one game took 1.5 hours. They would only give us 10 minutes extra. I won't be returning to this location.
We had a great experience here on New Year?s Day. The lanes are well taken care of and the place is clean.
What a cute little spot! If you're looking for somewhere more intimate this place is for you. I was super impressed by the menu; the food was delicious and very presentable. I thought everything was pretty fair priced as well. And I can't help but highlight the staff because they were super kind. I definitely recommend it. They made my moms birthday so special.
Showed up to play, and all of the bowling balls felt greasy. No biggie, of course, I just decided to ask the staff for some clorox wipes or something to wipe them down. I was declined, and they refused to clean the balls. That is ridiculous. This is not how you run a business
This place is run down. Floors are dirty, bathrooms are old, and most importantly, the equipment that sets pins and returns the balls are constantly breaking. If you have your own ball, DO NOT use it at this bowling alley. The equipment ruins the balls.
Tha pizza has changed its frozen not fresh and its nasty. The people running the alley are unfriendly. We had a birthday party and the two lanes reserved 2 hours they didn't turn them on for 15 minutes after we asked that they hadn't been turned on yet poor management we have had multiple parties at this location and are not going to have any more..
We reserved 3 lanes for a company event on 3/21 and was anything but a great experience! The person checking us in was absolutely not happy to be there, there was no music or fun atmosphere, and our team came hungry to find out the restaurant was as waiting on a late employee to arrive that didn't end up arriving at all during our 3 hour stay. So needless to say our company outing to celebrate our employees amazing efforts went horrible! The team there was not receptive to feedback and I spoke to the manag
This was really fun. My one small complaint is that the kitchen area was really understaffed and I felt bad for them. After me and my friends got done with laser tag I was struggling to catch my breath and I had to wait a few minutes for someone to come back to the register so i could get some water. I wish either they had someone to keep there or just a water fountain (and maybe they did and I just didn't see it.) All that said, the staff was super friendly and I had a great time. Excited to come back at
We went at a laid back time. It was good for a small team activity.
Bowling broke like 7 times, its overpriced, the arcade is overpriced and all the staff was rude, save money, have more fun, go to sandy nickelcade and olympus bowling
The bowling system kinda sucks. It sometimes doesn't count your bowl so you can have more than 2 before it's someone else's turn.
Great placa for family and kids, good lanes, well kept and nice shoes!
I found out that all summer, lanes and shoe rental is half off before 5pm! I had no idea as I have seen no advertisements, so that was a pleasant surprise. The kids and I had a great time and we'll definitely be going back a lot this summer since it's such a great deal.
The staff is friendly. The space is a little run down, but it feels fun and home. Go and have fun.
Been a staple of life since long time ago, glad it hasn't changed much and still exists, ive
Why would a bowling alley charge by the hour and not by the game? A game is 10 frames, not a timed event. Anyway, I paid for an hour. My lane jammed up and didn't return my ball 5 different times. The clock ticked while I requested service and waited for the problem to be fixed. I lost about 15 minutes of bowling time. In my 3rd game, I was bowling a great game, but it all came to an end in the 6th frame because my 60 minutes were done. Lame.
Great bowling experience. I like the cool cosmic bowling lights.
Pins kept getting stuck, same with our balls. And this old lady next to us got mad we didn't follow ?tourney etiquette?
Please, your bowlers are dying. It's so hot every week. Crank the AC. Call for a tune up. Whatever it takes! This may be my last review. I don't think I can take the heat any longer...
Kids love it here. We went a few weeks ago. I think they can fix the games that are broken and would provide a much more enjoyable time for the kids.
Rude, no one helps. Machines don't work they just take your money.
Men's bathroom doesn't have a baby changing station, average bowling alley overall.
They really try here, and I appreciate that. The equipment is kind of quirky and the set prices are high. The staff is super nice, and the female manager (didn't get her name) is so helpful and attentive. Because of the food quality, the equipment condition, and the fact that they stopped selling sugar free red bull on me, I can only go with a 3.
We were able to do family bowl free for the summer. Just pay for shoes. Sunday and Monday the discounts are better for family of 6 because the shoes are included. My kids love it.
We had issues with our lane returning our balls. We told the older grey haired lady at the front and she seemed really annoyed. She then shut down our lane and maintenance had to come work on getting it back up. 15 mins passed without us being able to bowl. Finally they got it working and we only had 5 minutes left on our timer. I thought she would add an extra 15 mins for us but she didn't. She even lied and said that she added five minutes when no time was added. I have no idea what her problem was, but w
A complete scam. $75 for an hour of bowling in a lane that doesn't work. Half the time was wasted trying to manually reset the pins or correct faulty scores. Terrible music, disco balls not even going?? No surprise it's dead. Bowl anywhere else. I want my money back.
We won't be going back. I would suggest going anywhere but Allstar! One specific staff member in the food court/arcade area is horrible. She appears to be a manager as she never has on a basic uniform like the rest of the employees. 3 different times we have gone in there to play games and have had an issue with some games. Upon going and trying to talk to the person running the area they basically have told us every time ?no that game was already broken.? When in reality we had been playing the game for 15
We have to reset game all the time, freezes on us and eats our balls constantly.
Bowling 2 league and Cari and Pat are in charge. They keep the bowler happy by running themselves to death. They help with the desk, delivering food and catering to our needs. Without them we would have moved our league elsewhere.
I'm sorry but there needs to be better options for an individual to come and have a quick practice session. I had to pay $30+ for one hour of lane time for just me, one person. Lane 13 also has some issues. Three times the sweeper dropped as I was in my back swing, one time I managed to stop my approach, the other two it was too late. Dinged up my ball but did they offer any compensation or credit? Nope.
This place cannot survive much longer like this. For several weekends in a row I brought in about 10 people for bowling and the arcade. 50 bucks per lane, per hour! We constantly have to get the staff to fix the lane or get the ball back. Luckily the bowling staff was nice. The arcade staff was not. Man she was mean to us. Seriously half of the machines are out of order week after week. The arcade card loader is in terrible shape and takes money without giving anything back. It took the lady 25 minutes to g
I must say Allstar lanes has made a huge improvement since Kari and Barbara have been there. Stan also is always fixing anything that goes wrong and even runs to get to the back. Kari also does this... I've seen her sprint to the back to fix a stuck pin loader for us. The food is awesome, the prices are reasonable and Kari, Barbara and Stan are the main reasons we continue to Bowl at Sandy Allstar. Thanks guys for working hard and being awesome... Sincerely, the Money Movers!!! Check out the Money Movers Bo
Wonderful place. The pizza was surprisingly good. There's bowling and an arcade, it looks like there is also a room for events.
First time we have ever gone here and will definitely come back bowling again. Staff was so nice, alley and restrooms spotlessly clean. Loved it !!!
Poor experience ever! We bowled for a hour and the last 5 minutes our lane got clogged 2 times and no one came to fix it but gave 10 more minutes and changed our lanes but didn't reset the pin position, plus the lady at the stand was pretty rude! Never coming back again and not recommended.
It's fun here. But definitely overpriced and our bowling lane glitched out at least 10 times with no retribution from the company. They should have gave us an extra 10 minutes on the lane or something so we could finish our game.
We took our team here for an evening of bowling on a Monday. It was a lot of fun and very reasonable. We got pizza, beer, and soda as well all reasonably priced. The Pizza was good also. They have specials including shoes making this a great affordable activity.
Nice and quiet middle of the day Thursday bowling. Fun for the whole family. Food on location along with arcade and other games.
Jennette made the experience amazing. SO GOOD at refilling on pizza, soda, beer? She was amazing. The night glow bowling is so fun! Really great experience and delicious pizza
Fun place to bowl but don't recommend it. They don't allow outside drink or food of any kind. That includes water bottles to get you to buy food and drinks from here. I had to ask twice for the railing for the kids to be put up and honestly the women in charge give the worst customer service of all. The young man that helped us out was very nice and patience with me and the three kids I was babysitting.
SANDY ALLSTAR IS AWESOME!!! KARI HAS MADE MY SUNDAY SINNERS LEAGUE EXPERIENCE EXCEPTIONAL!!! KARI GOES THE EXTRA MILE FOR EVERYONE AT YHE ALLEY AND IS ALWAYS HUSTLING AND BUSTING HER BUTT TO MAKE THINGS SMOOTH!!! THANK YOU KARI!!!!
I actually like it more than 3 stars... but the high cost for simple family of 4 is prohibitive.. we used to visit every few weeks, now down to just couple of times a year. as an Economist, I wonder if they are using the best pricing strategy... they are never busy anymore at the times we visit.. it used to be packed... when they charged much less per hour. Elasticity is Real!
The staff was great, but paying by the hour sucks. You have to rush through your game to get 2 sets in. Greedy ownership. $50.00 for an hour for 4 is far too high for just bowling. The equipment malfunctioned excessively but the staff was responsive and nice.
All Star Bowling has fun bowling at a decent price and my kids like the arcade as well. They have recently updated their bowling software and it offers some fun options for backgrounds and animations based on how you bowl. The only reasons they don't get five stars are the bumpers didn't work on our lane (my youngest enjoys having them) and the arcade has a number of games that don't work or only partially work. The partially broken ones can be frustrating when you already pay to play before finding that
Love our bowling nights here! The lanes don't reset well at times, which means you gotta ask a worker to fix things from time to time, but the service is wonderful, they're always really approachable and friendly, plus you can get cold cheap beer on draft! A win win for the entire family ??
This place is really good for a birthday party. You have a lot of lines and you can buy really good food
Sandy's best bowling alley! Best food for snacking and bowling.
We thought we'd try a new location, however this location is way worse than draper. The machines took a chunk out of our ball, the pin setter kept breaking and the foul sensor didn't work. We paid for 2 hours but spent 30 min dealing with issues.
Went for my birthday with family. Of course during the busy time of the day. It was a nice time. Staff was positive and helpful. I would recommend going and having a fun time there
Update: Disputed with CC and was told they have had numerous complaints for the same thing and was refunded by the CC company. Horrible place. After paying for two lanes. They said nothing was open. Then told us two lanes opened up. We went to the lanes and they were broken. Said we wanted to leave after being there for 5 minutes. Told us there would be no refunds. Horrible experience makes sense why they appear to be going out of business.
Went in on a Tuesday night after 9pm as the website said it was 14.95 for unlimited bowling. First, the lanes seemed like they weren't oiled at all. I was literally throwing a brand new Storm fate which should go down the lane pretty long, but it was literally hooking a foot past the arrows. Second, when I went in and asked if they had the unlimited deal, the man at the counter said no even though that is what the website was advertising. I asked him if he was sure and he just kind of ignored me then procee
Took our son for a birthday party. Unfortunately the experience there was terrible. Everything from the lanes not functioning properly to food and bev to the arcade. Even the bathrooms needed attention and when mentioned to staff, a poor response was given. I won't get into all the details, just that we felt we had spent way too much money for a poorly maintained facility. Our impression was that they were broke and had no cash for upkeep. We've had great experiences at other All Star Alleys, this was not o
Horrible service and dingy dirty arcades. No one in the arcade on a Saturday. Cashier and Phyllis the manager gave us terrible service. The cashier ignored our two groups and continued to serve 7 other guests before us. We had to beg to redeem our tickets. The kids were super confused said they never want to come back. Phyllis came over finally and acted super annoyed by us needing to redeem our tickets. They are definitely are far from kid friendly. Bowling alley fine not nice, they sprayed chemical on ton
My favorite place to bowl! The prices are okay, but if they keep the place running as well as they do and keep it looking as great as they do, I don't mind paying. The music is awesome and the staff is friendly. All bowling equipment is in good condition. I love the lounge area, and the pizzaria/ticket area is always really clean.
This place is rundown and pinsetters keep fouling up. They charge by the hour and I spent a lot of time waiting for maintenance to keep fixing the machines. Lanes were also extremely dry and my ball now has deep scratches and chunks taken out of it. I would rate zero stars if it was an option.
They have raised their prices on evenings to $11 per person and only 55 minutes. They started the timer as soon as we paid, so the clock was ticking away while we found a ball and put shoes on. It automatically stopped after 55 minutes, so we didn't get to finish our games. For the amount we paid, I expect the bathrooms to be in much better condition than they were.
Went bowling here as a family. This location is cheaper than the Draper location. We had a fun experience with our family. One downside was that most of the bowling balls were old and had dents and chips in them. It didn't affect the game that much but that's one thing I would like to see updated. Great staff and clean environment!
20.00 an hour for a group. We had 4 in our group. Including shoes (not sure) The part I didn't like is the mask wearing for an hour....you could order food and beer. They separate you from other bowlers (every other lane closed)....very clean lanes. The bathrooms need to be updated...the staff is very friendly. Good place to bowl....
this place is a true disgrace to the bowling community! i?ve never had a worse experience in my life, i?d go to fat cats before i ever come back to this terrible establishment! fix your lanes please, stole my ball atleast 10 times, reset the pins wrong every time, ended our games early and messed up our scores! i can go on and on about how terrible this place is, threw my ball and when it was halfway down the lane the ball blocker drops down and takes a massive chip out of my 250$ bowling ball! however prop
I love this place. It is clean and the staff is great. Bri and Phyllis are great in the snack bar. Even on busy league nights they make sure our food comes out how we want it. Update: This place has has done great updates. The bathrooms still need attention. The owner Brad has made a negative impression on his employees. I ordered a pitcher of beer which has increased in price by $3. It is not higher then other places so i don't mind paying for it. I did ask to have the pitcher topped off. I was told NO! B
Very upbeat ,everything's new and clean and the best part was my wife wasn't there. Priceless
I Love It at Sandy All ?? Star ...!!! Kari is Always Awesome to See when we come in ...!!! She is Possibly the Nicest person of all time ...
A little busy on a Saturday afternoon, but not bad. Lanes worked better than most. Only had to press the reset button on the lane twice in 4 games. Staff was nice enough to let us change lanes to get away from a big group we were initially put next to.
Cody is a great guy!! Food was great had such a great time lots of laughs and new memories. Would return for sure
I have taken my family bowling on Fridays for the last few weeks to this location. It has been a blast! The location is clean and orderly. We have been going Friday afternoons and found the crowds to be small. Lane and Janine are super helpful and nice to my kids. We have also ordered finger foods that they bring directly to our lane. The food is hot, fresh and surprisingly good. The chicken quesadilla is my new favorite. They have a root beer and cream soda that I have heard, are made by the owner. They a
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
