The consensus is overwhelmingly positive, with most reviewers praising the fun, family-friendly atmosphere, excellent staff (especially referees and owners), and well-maintained indoor field layout. Many highlight the fair pricing, good equipment selection, and strong community vibe. While some note minor drawbacks like stairs or limited store inventory, the majority emphasize the professional, welcoming environment that caters to all skill levels. We purchased a Groupon and the staff worked with us for a last minute booking. Our son celebrated his birthday with Gel Blasters and VR escape room. Teenage boy in Heaven. Being in an old mill added to the ambience and the staff took care of us during our entire time there. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend trying this place out if you, a friend, or family member is interested in airsoft! My sons (13, 15) their friend (15) and myself went to the West Warwick location this past Friday night and had an absolute blast! The staff was knowledgeable, welcoming, helpful, and humorous. The equipment was in amazing shape and the indoor field had a great layout. We really enjoyed being able to order food while we were there as we definitely worked up an appetite. As someone who is fairly new to this i

We had a party for our 10 yr old twins at Advanced Action Sports today. They ended up playing the VR games and they all had so much fun! This place is awesome and the staff are really great. Isaac helped us so much and made sure everyone was having fun. He is the nicest person and so easy to work with, everything went really smoothly and I will be telling everyone how great of an experience we had here and how much fun our kids had. Finding places for fall/winter birthdays isn't always easy but we will defi

We went with a group of 6. 4 kids and 2 adults. Everyone had a blast. It was a lot of fun for the money. We would highly recommend this for the whole family. The referee was very helpful and great with the kids. Thank you for a fun afternoon.

On Saturday, We visited Advanced Action Sports in West Warwick after speaking with Isaac the night before to book a VR escape room slot for my family. Unexpectedly, on the same day, two other families decided to join us for the adventure, creating a potentially awkward situation since our plans were not set up for a larger group. When we arrived at our pre-scheduled time, the VR room was ready for us. I explained the change in plans to Isaac, requesting not only to cancel my reservation but also to accommo

Absolutely amazing experience. As a person accustomed to cheaters, bad staff, and cranky players, I was impressed to see that wasn't an issue here. This was the first time i a while I had some genuine fun with airsoft. Staff was attentive and friendly (and sometimes funny, Ella) and players were amazing to shoot alongside. Game modes were unique and exiting. (also playing in the dark is awesome!) Will be coming back, and you gained a returning customer!

Took my kids to do gel blasters at advanced action sports. Reasonable pricing and great place! We had a blast playing for 3 hours! It's a huge arena to play in and the gel blasters are a great safe alternative for younger kids, mine are 10 and 12. Minimum age is 8 I believe. Will absolutely return to play again. Thanks for a great indoor winter activity.

Super friendly staff both over the phone and in person. Have been twice for the VR experience. First one was Ninjas, very interactive, good amount and degree of challenges for first timers while also allowing each of us to be involved in the solutions and for our team to solve each level. Second experience was Space Station, - the simulation was appealing. Unfortunately had so many interruptions to the experience due to glitches with equipment, and in the end staff credited our experience.

I've been there a couple times for the VR experience and it's awesome. Either with friends or kids, it was great. The staff are friendly and helpful. The VR escape room and arcade are immersive and entertaining. Looking forward to going back again soon. If you haven't tried it, go for it, you won't be disappointed.

I've been going to this place for the last year or so and the refs are extremely fun and nice. my first time here i didnt know what would happen but it ended up to be a great time abd ive been here multiply times for both parties and public games. i?m pretty sure this one ref doesnt like me but the place is still really fun and i would definitely recommend coming here.

We had my son?s birthday party at Advanced Action Sports, and it was an incredible experience! A couple of days before the party, I broke my ankle and was worried I wouldn't be able to attend since they're on the 5th floor. John, who is always awesome to work with, coordinated the use of their freight elevator, ensuring I could still be there for my son?s big day. Isaac was amazing?genuinely kind, attentive, and engaging throughout the entire event. He not only made sure I got up and down from the 5th floo

I've been coming here almost every weekend for a few months and I have to say it's been such a great experience. Most of the players that come through are great, there's rarely issue. The staff is super friendly and helpful, Issac and Ray are always such a help with any issues and questions, they'll help with any gun problems or malfunctions, or answer any questions you have about the guns and accessories on display. Ella and Gonzo are great refs with great personality?s that?ll make you enjoy your time the

We went with a group of 5 on a Friday night recently and played a ?Friday the 13th? type game mode in the spirit of Halloween. The staff member who played Jason was so enthusiastic and excited about everything it was contagious. He made the entire night fun for everyone there, even though it was a smaller group of players. Close quarters field with good staff and good vibes, highly recommend.

We attended a Gel Blaster party here. I will start with the positives; the kids had a blast and really enjoyed the gel blasters. We were a private party which allowed us a private room and only our group in the arena for gel blasters. Things that need improving: 1. The room was very crowded and not enough chairs for everyone in our party which lead to a bunch of people milling around outside the room away from the party. I would suggest in the future a private event be given the option of reserving tabl

I've been going to the cqb building in west Warwick and my experience has been amazing the staff are amazing and very helpful and make me want to come back. They're always asking if you're having fun and checking on their players. I really wanna point out the manager Isaac he's helped me a lot with getting into the sport, picking guns and face protection and overall a huge help I could come there just to say what's up to him definitely a big part in me purchasing a membership along with the great community.

We brought a group of adults & teenagers and had a blast. I thought I was only going to watch, but I got talked into playing and I'm so glad I did. I can wait to go back and try all the rest of the VR escape rooms. The ones we did were entertaining & challenging, but there's about 10 more. What a fun, safe place to bring the family (and all their friends)!

Spent the day there had a very good time, Gonzo and Isaac were very welcoming and informative. Great community of players, should definitely stop by!

Great place to have some fun! Easy & affordable birthday party option. Definitely recommend.

For what it's worth, I reached out to the owner right after the disaster of an event I hosted in West Warwick. And two days later, I haven't been contacted by the owner, John. Planned a group event for 15 kids and the owner suggested doing a private group party, which was $500. We were asked to arrive 15 minutes early so the kids could be briefed and start promptly at 12:30. We ended up having 13 players. While we waited for the kids to have their first round start, I was handed the menu for Famous Pizza.

Came for a 1:30pm nerf bday party today in west Warwick. It was the most disorganized party I've ever been to and feel terrible for the hosts. Isiah behind the counter was inattentive and clueless. The ?referee? was on his phone when a couple of us parents went out into the arena to check on the kids. Never again.

I've been playing here since it opened and I have to say I love the simple field layout, the staff are usually great, and the pricing is awesome compared to other fields I've played at. My only complaint has always been the copious amounts of friendly fire. The neon armbands they have don't really do a great job at helping players identify themselves to their team when most games are played in low light conditions. I think some dimly lit led bands would be an awesome addition, and would save a ton of player

I came in today, I had a great and fun experience! Ella was super nice and very help! I would highly recommend going with multiple people so you can get the full experience!

Had an absolute blast here. I was a first time player and from the moment I got into the parking lot the other people were so kind and welcoming. I ended up getting a rental and fell in love with the game and bought my own gun. The staff and referees were extremely professional and kind. Got me hooked up with everything I needed. The indoor field was awesome. You can sit back and shoot from a distance or rush in for some intense close quarters action. I will definitely be going back with my entire family ne

really not the place for expirenced players. you can't shoot people more then once without getting yelled at. the owner is very strange and try?s to boast and intimidate players, he said he would call the cops and press charges if we kept ?overshooting? people. he was rude and shouldn't be running an airsoft feild. the other employees were great and were just doing their jobs so i can't be mad for anything they did. not a great setup for indoor but it's all they have to work with so it's whatevea. final tho

I always have a great time coming here. The staff is very helpful, fun, fair, and friendly. The field is great it has some great cqb portions and room for long range engagements aswell. Lastly the community of people I always run into here is terrific just a truly family friendly + fun environment every time.

Didn't know this place even existed until this weekend. What a gem! There is literally so much here to keep any group entertained, literally for hours. The staff were super friendly, kind and accommodating. Oh and most importantly, it won't break the bank. Everything seems very reasonably priced. Experienced the virtual reality escape room and it was truly an incredible and unique experience. And don't worry, everything is super clean and well sanitized! Chef's Kiss on this experience.

So first off im a manager at my own field so I understand the difficulties of running and maintain a field and this is by far the most well maintained and well managed field I've been to in RI, the layout is fun and welcoming to all play styles rushing, camping, range shots are all possible here. the flow of the field is just great the players where all pretty honest with hit calling no arguments or fights about hits which is great the manager (Ian) let us know they where short staffed that day I went but did

The refs are phenomenal and professional, the field is always fun and clean.everything is priced decently.

Took my 11 year old son and 12 of his friends and Dads for his birthday. Staff was great with the kids and managed the flow of the party. We all had a blast and the 2 hours flew by. Ian and Caleb, thank you for making memories for these kids and we will be back!!

We love taking our girls here. Every time we come it's a brand new experience. The staff, and owners go above, and beyond. It's an opportunity to experience the amazing world of Virtual Reality, without breaking the bank. It's fun for all ages.

What a fun place to play airsoft! No drama here, and if there is, the staff is quick to address it. As someone who has played here off and on since they opened this location last year, I have been impressed since the start. Every time I come back in, they have more product in the store, and new changes to the field. They also added escape rooms and VR this year, which looks really fun (I haven't tried that yet though). I also noticed all of the 1 star reviews are from people that have been banned. Let me

This was my first time here, and it is great! Everyone here was super nice and one guy in particular (I forget his name) was amazing and fixed my gun stock for free! The price here is cheap compared to other places. ~25 bucks for a full day compared to 30 bucks for 4 hours. Everything in the store is also a good price. They had a good amount of guns and equipment. Will be back soon!

I went on the opening day and had a great experience. Owners are great, make sure that you are having a great time. They are also always open to hear people's opinions on things at the field that could be changed. The gun selection that they have is good for all types of players. They have a snack bar which is convenient. The field is MASSIVE, so many angles that you can get shot at and there isn't really anywhere to hide. The refs take their job serious, if there is a problem then they will address the iss

I went here for my first ever airsoft match and the place had some newer players, some milsim players, and some experienced casual players, but not a single one was toxic. They all called there shots and played incredibly honorably and for fun. The owners are extremely nice and care genuinly for the community of there players and not just for money, and they constantly talk to and joke with the players. The prices are also incredibly good for gear and the unlimited playing pass and I can't wait to go again.

My team and I have been coming here since they opened and we kept coming back because of the great expertise and friendliness of Ian and Mason plus it is one of the best if not the best indoor field In RI, but sad to say it's all coming crashing down since they hired Ray who does not understand airsoft nor has any people skills he continues to berate me and my team every time we go there and try to tell us that we are causing problems when not once has he had a valid point. We love the sport of airsoft and

I just got back into the hobby about a month and a half ago after being absent for 7 years. I was going to a different field and have been waiting for this field to launch. Me and a buddy I met airsofting decided to go to this field yesterday than the other one we go to. Im very glad I went to this one. The refs are super chill and good at refereeing (one of em is one of the owners and was able to talk with him and hes a super genuine dude), the players that I played with and against were honestly some of

My kids and I walked in to just check this place out?ended up staying for over an hour as the FIRST customers in the private range/target practice area. SO. MUCH. FUN. Staff were great?friendly, knowledgable, attentive. Very reasonably priced. Took the time to explain how everything works, and answer all of our questions. Fun atmosphere. They even have options for younger kids (I would say 8+). Highly reccommend!

We did the VR escape room for Father's Day and it was awesome. We had monsters, flaming arrows, puzzles; waaaaayyyy better than a traditional escape room. This place may become a regular pit stop for the family on road trips.

Just had my first private party airsoft event at this location. It was an absolute blast. I purchased the gold airsoft private package. 2.5 hours of private gameplay. All gear included, Gun and mask. I had 15 guys show up and it was action packed!!! Love this field layout Good size and lots of routes to run and the rental guns ran perfectly fine. As for the staff, I love these guys. They are all extremely knowledgeable and very friendly to all. Any questions or concerns they are right there to help you.

Attended the opening day January 1st and I must say I enjoyed it a lot. Good vibe, good location, zero drama. The design of the field could use a couple changes but other than that an around great days out with the boys. I will definitely be going again soon

Friendly staff (Jack?s a baller) and perfect field layout. Only indoor field I've been to with an option for up close engagements and long range shootouts. Joule requirements are low enough to allow point blank shots so no cringe safety kills needed. Players are friendly and mixed variety of skill and playstyle to keep things interesting. Good field.

Uses Painters Tape as Arm Bands, not enough arm bands - Chrono process is unprofessional - Large Field, little field staff - Beginner Friendly (That's it) - Their Sponsored unlabeled bbs are bad work -Their regulars can be weird (milsim man children) - It's cool place but just meh if you've been around the block

Advanced Action Sports has two locations. One in Webster MA, and this new one in West Warwick RI. It is a large, dynamic playing field that is very balanced. That is unusual for indoor fields, because they are restricted by four walls. But this facility has it all. A fully stocked retail store, a large staging area with party rooms and function space, and of course an massive indoor playing field. Give them a go, you won't be disappointed!

Drove 2 hours to play SuperBowl Sunday, and had an absolutely amazing experience! Field staff are super nice and Ian is great to talk to. The Field itself is solid and plays out really well for the games. Got a little carried away running due to how much fun I had and smashed my knee; soon as it heals I want to go back with more friends. I highly recommend playing airsoft here for good cqb. If you are on the fence, just go. You will like it.

Map is terrible way to open and is only corners for the most part there's like 4 windows in the entire map. Safety video is way to long and they have way too many rules. They banned a certain type of shotgun because a sprinkler broke. BattlegroundZ on a Wednesday is better than this and having to pay extra for air is ridiculous. Literally one of the only fields around that does that. And if from the southern Massachusetts area, better to spend the extra 20 minutes and go to extreme or save some time and jus

My 12yr old son went to play. His gun was broke. He sat for 2 hours watching his friends play. Ian was so helpful. He tried to fix his gun. He even assisted with the call to the place he bought his gun, to tell them what part was needed. He then got my son a gun from his new stock and let him borrow it. He was so happy he could finally play with his friends.

My twins had their 13th birthday party here. They had a blast! Any hiccups were quickly rectified, and everyone left happy. We'd book again!

Worst refs by far. Banned for life after 3 games for no reason that the refs could provide. I have all my footage but no one cared to watch it or hear our side. If you aren't a regular there (idk why you would be) you will get harassed by refs. L field, L refs, L refs, and L refs. If you are looking for a fun time to go play airsoft, this ain?t it dog. 5 stories up in a run down mill that smells like ref sweat. i told someone to call their hit and the ref kicked me out of the game for that. L ref.

I've been going to one airsoft place for a good year now. So my first time going here I didn't really know what to expect. But I was blown away by the prices and the outstandingly friendly staff. Map is huge and offers a lot of cover but is all plywood walls with no towers or buildings but the size and cover makes up for it. For $30 ($25 if you pay online) you get 8 hours of fun. Please give this place a try if you're looking for a new place to play airsoft.

The experience is 1 of 1. This is a must for a great time! Would really recommend!

Amazing field, staff are very friendly and the field is a good size for a CQB field. The only downside to this field is a few flights of stairs but you get your cardio in for the day. Had a great time even with my HPA regulator breaking in which I used my backup mp5 which was perfect for the closer engagements. Any gun you bring in will be effective in different spots on the field in which having a team with different loadouts can be enjoyable. Store selection has every essential you need and has a vast sel

Fun place to play. Great staff, great field and plenty to do. Tell a friend!

We went to do the VR for my Husbands Birthday & lets just say it was AMAZING! It was our first time doing this in a group of 4 & We had so much fun! The VR game seemed so real that my husband fell thinking the table in the game was real LOL!!!! Definitely going back!! Also, Ian was very helpful! Thank you Ian!!!

I spoke with the owner of this place just before leaving during a Saturday session, he asked what I like and don't like and I'll say here what I said to him. Him as well as all the staff are very friendly and helpful, the field setup is very different than a ?typical? field but it's very fun. But be aware it is very close quarters and you're gonna leave with holes you weren't born with but that's part of airsoft. The people that play here are also great, rarely any toxic players or cheating. The building is

Store is small with an okay selection, and the staging area is plenty big enough. The actual arena isn't that great, unfortunately. Think of a 3-lane call of duty map, without many alternative paths to go. Left, right, or center and minimal cover. I'll come back in a few months and see if the layout has changed.

For day one this field is amazing. Whether you like wide open Lanes or close cqb engagement this field delivers. Accompanied by a great selection in the pro shop from bbs to guns to anything miscellaneous you may or may not need, they have it. The staff is knowledgeable and willing to help with any questions or concerns that may come up. This is Rhode island's best up and coming airsoft field. Can't wait to see what else Advanced Action Sports has coming up in the future. Will definitely be returning sooner

Pros - Field is fairly simple but with enough to make it good for repeat play. Staff are nice. Cons - Have to walk up stairs Overall great place with decent selection of gear and guns.

This is the best cqb field in New England along with extreme airsoft. The only thing extreme has beat here is the store but I imagine that this will grow as it is just a new field. I talked with the owner Ian and he was a great referee and owner as he was more than willing to listen to my thoughts on the field and everything. I will 100% be back as I said it was my favorite cqb field. Thank you Ian and your staff for a great day. See y?all soon!:)

Amazing time as always, Great environment and the Staff go above and beyond! Extra shoutout to Ella for being a great Ref!

My husband, son and daughter-in-law tried the Virtual Reality, VR, Escape Room. What a BLAST!! The room was so realistic. I almost forgot where I was in the hour. I HIGHLY recommend trying this with your family and friends. We will surely go back to try the other 5 Escape Room experiences.

The ref was very helpful with buying airsoft parts definitely recommend buying airsoft guns from them will definitely come back

Always a good time. Refs and staff are fair and friendly. Great rates on rentals and admission. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who plays or wants to give airsoft a try.

Huge field & just as good as the outdoor field in Webster. Nice to finally have an indoor field that isn't gutter trash. Great friendly staff. Quick shout-out to Jack! Big man on campus!

Best indoor spot in the area. Huge indoor field with hallways, rooms, and some open areas. Follow the basic rules and youll have a good time. I still want my smooch Ian.

Visited today with our triplet teens for a space VR experience and had an absolutely joyful time! Staff was helpful and kind. We can't wait to go back! This is our new favorite place!

Such a awesome place with amazing Friendly staff. They go out of their way to make everything fun and fair. They don't tolerate cheating, and focus on being professional and being a great place for the whole family

Been to this field twice really fun and competitive, great environment with friendly people, one of my favorite indoor places now, map layout is more open in the middle with close quarters throughout the sides, movable cover for objective play, I think if you cut some windows out could make for more interesting angles, other then that great place definitely going back

Super fun place, excellent refs that listen, the membership is a a great deal, and the field runs really well. I highly recommend this place for beginners and veterans, as they have a great store as well

Really great fun and safe place for anyone to enjoy some competitive gameplay. The map and game modes were great. Recommend going early.

I've been going to the Webster location and always missed being able to play when outdoor wear wouldn't permit but now I have this location allowing for not just indoor play but an entirely new experience with the same friendly staff and friendly atmosphere can't wait to hit the field!!!

Amazing field if your looking for the ultimate indoor airsoft experience you have to give it a try. Comfortable staging refs are on top of everything everything you want in an indoor field

The field plays great with plenty of high speed games and no minimum engagement which I love. All of the staff and other players are also extremely kind.

Workers are nice, prices are fair, you may have to walk up 5 flights of stairs but it is worth it

Field is coming along pretty good so far, and I'm told there's more good things to come.

Me and my group of 3 others went here and usually we have a great time but today we were getting complaints about over shooting and not calling our hits 2 of our men weren't even in the game but they still got punished with a warning of being banned over all bad experience we will not be visiting again

Great time the refs are good and play was clean

Very neat field, rewards stealth! Good pricing for sessions and supplies and most importantly for an indoor field, no mandatory safety kills. CHECK THIS PLACE OUT

Awesome time, rooms were hard but not impossible! Made you think and had a great time!!!! Will love to come back and finish all of the rooms!

Probably one of the indoor fields within the new england area. Super friendly and helpful staff. The map is crazy big and flows very well!

Amazing Japanese style airsoft field. It's very affordable and the shop is decent. Overall good community. (Expect a walk it's on the 5th story??)

Honestly one of the best indoor fields I've been to. Great People , Great Staff, and a great field! Look forward to returning!

My Stepson loves going here! Professionals all the way & a safe place to have your preteen spend the day!

Great great field And staff I was welcome to the airsoft family thru advance action sport down in Webster mass about a year ago fell in love with the sport and now u guys are closer see u guys on the weekend

This place I only have good things to say about. Refs are very friendly field is great and overall really really great place

Great staff and prices. The people are great, and there is also a catering concession stand to fuel your day.

Awesome place and wonderful friendly staff. Very spacious too.

Great place with plenty of competitive players, family friendly. Definitely worth the visit.

Wonderful people always a funt time at advanced action sports, the new location is a blast with action packed close quarters gameplay

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are virtual reality games in arcades worth playing?

Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
