Pretty neat place, very affordable food, ordered the green cheese enchiladas ($12), lemonade ($3), and a shot of bourbon ($4.50). Mixed in some salsa with my meal, was a good choice. The atmosphere on a Saturday night around 10pm was drunk men and women with children playing kids games. There was a mixture of cigarette smoke and alcohol throughout the air, not the greatest atmosphere.
This is my once a week lunch spot. Sorry about the half eaten picture but this catfish was so good that I forgot. Janine in the bar area is great! Gives great suggestions, good service and is friendly.
here is what you need to know before coming to this location Get here if you can just before 5:00 cuz right after 5:00 p.m. all the families with their kids start to come in this is also a phenomenal place to come for your birthday if they get a whole bunch of people together and sing a caboose birthday to you and get you a big old ice cream sundae no questions asked lots of games do what you do is you put in your debit card and you get another physical card but credits did you then use towards games to
Went in for lunch and sat in the bar. The location was empty, the table was clean, and the menu had dried food on them. Ash trays "still" available at the table which I had seen well over 10 years. Order a salad with chicken (believe lime chicken salad), which was edible, but the flavor was off. The location appeared dated. Make note there are two sides to this location. Kid friendly with games and the other a bar which was adult driven with plenty of flat screens to view the game.
Had a great first impression of this place. Our server was really friendly and attentive. All the games were operational and my son had a fun time playing and picking out prizes. We went during the middle of the day on Friday and it was not too busy. We will definitely be back.
Really good food, well priced. Service was prompt and all the staff were welcoming. We had a great time on the arcade too, all kinds of games available.
I went here last night for the second time as the food was okay last time. I was seated by the girl at the front and that was the last I heard from any staff. I sat there 20 minutes watching the people at the two tables around me getting served. There were staff standing up by the bar but nobody came to serve me. No drink or anything. So I was looking to get the attention of the server attending the next table but I got the impression they were only assigned to particular tables or something. So I got up a
Fun place for the kids to stretch their legs during our stop in Lubbock. A good selection of games to play. Food was the only thing that knocked this review down a star. I came in with high expectations from the reviews and photos, but was disappointed from what came out from the kitchen. Food: Chips and salsa were decent, but free, so no complaints there. We ordered a kids pizza with fries - again, decent. My wife ordered the sirloin and I ordered the half order of ribs - both underwhelming. Again, let do
We had my daughters 6th birthday here and couldn't have been happier with the whole experience. Chris, our party specialist, was everything you could want in a server. He was kind, attentive, quick and professional! The whole thing was a hit! The manager allowed us to come a little early to set up, they brought us drinks while we worked on the room and we're all very courteous. The price was amazing also, for the rental of the room, all kiddos to eat, a sundae and a 20$ game card we came out less than half
I've loved this place for years. It has good games, good food, and kind workers. They've gotten a little pricey in recent years but I'd say it's nothing too much. I usually come here for lunch with my mother since I'm grown up now but this has always been the place to be. The food is delicious and the staff are gracious. Best fried pickles in town in my opinion. It's a little loud but that's to be expected when going somewhere like this.
We enjoy coming in. We always have had great service & food. The managers are so helpful & kind. The prices are very fair & the drinks are always great. It's a nice relaxing place to go to watch the games or play in the arcade.
Waited 15 minutes with no server, at least six people standing around including three behind the bar.(We were sitting in the bar area) 5 customers in the area, that's including us. 4:55 pm if they wanted to check the video. We walked out and took our money somewhere else. (We gladly gave our server a generous tip at the other restaurant.) Don't think we'll be back, sadly! Been coming here 25+ years. This is the 3rd time with similar problem, first time review.
5/31/25 Visited this place. The young server guy was not friendly. I don't think that job is cut out for him. I wish I would have got his name so I could let yall know who it was. Anyways he was irritated that we were asking for more chips. My husband ask him for a strawberry lemonade and he told him that it would be to much trouble to go to the kitchen to make that?? WOW! So when he came back I asked for a strawberry sprite and he was like huh sure with attitude. Then he looked at my husband and told him i
From start to finish, it was great. The only complaint I had and the waiter agreed, the fried pickles. They were way too salted. I had the CFS and my wife had the chile relleno. The food was so delicious, the atmosphere was awesome, just like when I had visited 25 years ago. Truly brought back memories of my father, sister and step mother here when we frequented this establishment. I will definitely be coming back as it was an outstanding service and our waiter was beyond amazing! Considering he was fairly
Definitely NOT the place to go for eating a delicious meal. The waitress was very friendly and we were seated quickly. It took a while for the food to come out of the kitchen and it wasn't very busy. The food was hot, but Definitely not very good! Big pass for me!
Arcade/Restaurant for the family. It's super loud so I wouldn't think it's anything more than a place you take the kids, but it's great for them. The food is good and the games are priced pretty reasonably. This would be a great place for a kid's birthday party, they even have private rooms you can reserve with cool game token deals.
Excellent atmosphere, delicious food, helpful staff, and brilliant service. I can not say enough about this place, they have a wide variety of food selections with very reasonable prices. Thank you Calvin for the top notch service today and always.
I tried a few appetizers with our group and they are good. Strawberry margaritas are good?? Nice layout with pool tables and darts near the bar. Next time I'll try the arcade?? Edit: Came back to try the chile relleno w/ spicy corn on the side and it was Excellent...5 stars ??
A great restaurant as it has been for years. Quality food. Good salsa, Mexican entrees and burgers. Reasonable prices. Staff has wonderful customer service.
If you like Pi?a Coladas!! Although we weren't caught in the rain, it was pretty cold. Hanging out with friends from out of town, so we ordered chips and salsa along with Pi?a Coladas and a Blue Hawaiian. The Pi?a Colada was soooo good, I ordered another ??
Service was great, the food was okay. When your expecting a awful awful big burger and received a McDonald's size burger, it's a lil disappointing. The California Chicken didn't have any flavor. Probably won't be returning anytime soon.
Copper caboose is losing its touch. the foods doesn't have the flavors it used to the last time we went we ordered a fajita beef chicken and shrimp plate for 2 . It wasn't even worth it . The servers are rude and never check on you
I was under the impression that this place had closed down years ago. I was wrong. It still looks the same inside. As for the wait staff.. they were awesome. The food on the other hand, is a different story. I ordered fajitas and got two pieces of chicken that I had to cut myself and no cheese.. no cheese? The veggies were beyond burnt and the tortillas we half hard. Also, the bathroom urinals are almost too high.. feel sorry for all the kids that can't piss in em. Overall, I will not be eating here again.
I was so pleased to be served by Haydden during my recent visit to Copper Caboose, and I can't recommend him enough! From the moment we sat down, he was friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He offered great recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal without being overbearing. His positive attitude and professionalism truly elevated the dining experience. Thanks to Haydden, we had an unforgettable time, and I'll definitely be coming back!
This was our first and last time coming here! Our service was horrible. The food was alright the atmosphere was good but definitely needs to work on customer service. ** I was not ?bullying? anyone I was only stating the obvious on our visit here.
Gail is the bomb dot com (last time we got a different waitress who was not as helpful). She was super kind and kept our drinks filled! We got the zinger dinner and the combination nachos, which came out perfect!
Was in town for a graduation we had a party room and the waitress was very attentive and helpful. There's a lot going on inside with the arcade but perfect for kids and there's a bar for adults and definitely enough TVs. With all going on the food was really good nachos and enchiladas were great. If I'm ever going back through I will be going back
Come here often and frankly ashamed that I've never taken pictures. Will remedy soon. To summarize: First the food: Always good, tastes fresh and lots of things prepped in-house, I.e. Salsa, chips, avocado ranch (a favorite). Their tex-mex is always no fuss and has been a staple of theirs for decades. My personal favorites are the (California) dishes like California Chicken and the Cali Burger; the seller here being fresh avocado on each dish. (IMHO the absolute best thing on the menu is The Awful Awful Bur
Honestly, this place was a let down. (We came 2x). The service was awful, taking forever to get you anything and the food was meh. The only good thing was the games here, my son enjoyed those.
While my family and I love this place and casually frequent this establishment, I will second what some users have said here, the place really is rather loud and the food is incredibly greasy. I usually leave feeling petty blah and needing to take some sort of antacid. But those things aside, this is where the wife and I shared our first date and we still love coming here. Service is usually very good and to me the menu is very eclectic. While their Mexican food is, to me, some of the best in town, I don't
Pretty good food, nice servers, alright location. I wouldn't hesitate to come back.
Fun place! We caught the football game and then played some games before heading out! Smoking allowed inside the grill next door, not permitted in the gaming area. Definitely recommend going back.
We stopped by after a soccer tournament and had the best experience. From seating to food and of course the games after, everyone was happy. The service was top notch. Our waiter and servers never left us waiting long. They even found the soccer game on TV for us. Just couldn't be more happy with the overall experience. Thank you!
The food and service are always great, and kids love the game room! They have a huge variety on their menu, and I've never had anything that wasn't delicious!
I met up with someone who was there already, so I didn't get to eat. I had a blueberry flavored shot that was AMAZING. So I might be much help.
Our server was slow and inattentive to our table despite the restaurant not being busy. The girls bathroom didn't have soap. The nachos were bland. I wouldn't come back again.
Food was hot & very good. Our waitress was super nice & hardworking
We wanted to get out of the heat and play some games. Great food! Lots of fun for kids! Highly recommended
Five-Star Review for 50th Street Caboose We've been coming back to 50th Street Caboose in Lubbock, Texas, for years, and it never disappoints! The food is simply fantastic, especially the cheese enchiladas, which are our all-time favorite. The service is always top-notch, and we have to give a special shout-out to Domingo, who went above and beyond to make our dining experience exceptional. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food, fun atmosphere, and excellent service!
This is my favorite place in Lubbock, the grandson enjoyed it, the food was very reasonable and the games were 50. To 100. You can't beat it! Will def return
If you ever want to have a good family day, Caboose is where to be. Fun for all ages. Never had a bad experience.
gail was amazing ! got our order fast and efficient. amazing service ! me and my best friend come at least once a month , just delicious!
The food was pretty good and the service was as accommodating as possible considering all the weirdness in the world right now. I'll definitely go again.
You know ??.. I can't say enough good thing?s about Copper Caboose . The food is constantly good & service is great ! Specials run , games for everyone to enjoy . Wish they'd bring back the train that used to run around over the bar they used to have back in the day , but just a neat place to go for food & fun . Thank you everyone at Copper Caboose .
We went for dinner tonight, 9/13/24, and it was not a good experience. Everyone got their order but 2 of us. I ended up canceling mine because it took way to long. They finally brought my daughters burger way after everyone else was finished eating. We were told that they ran out of fries. We were not offered anything to replace the fries. The waitress, Ava, was great. She kept drinks full and chips refilled. The manager gave a discount since we didn't get fries with my daughters burger.
Placed order, waited for 30 minutes just to be told our order was delivered to another table; had to wait another 25 minutes for our order to be brought out,.
Fun day but prizes SUCK
Definitely need someone else at the host stand (In Tech Jersey) unless you are trying to deter patrons from eating here. This person spent more time smacking their gum and playing with their hair. They tried their hardest to get everyone to go open seating or the Bar instead of regular seating. Make the customers the priority and the customers will take care of you. I don't chalk this up to staffing shortage more than staffing selection and training. NO MANAGERS PRESENT OR IN SIGHT. Our Waitress Hailey was
Tuesday?s are the best days for 50th Street Caboose. 1/2 off games, select food items & drinks. Our waitress, Gail, was fantastic! She knows her menu and made perfect suggestions for our meal. I actually ate her all time favorite, the Longhorn Enchiladas, the beef w/ queso (sub in fries instead of tortillas). So delicious. Thank you, Gail!
I had a great time at copper with my friends and family. The service was a 10/10 and the food came out great. No errors or mistakes were made thanks to our great server RiAnn. She was kind, on her toes, and made sure we did not go without. We ate out sometime last week and most definitely will be making a return!
This place was amazing my food came out so fast it's amazing! My server her name was ava she was amazing she gave us everything we need and was in it as soon as we walked in!
Been coming here for years. The service is always great and the food has never disappointed. Our server kandice was nice too
Dear 50th. Read the update. Not a to go order. This was an in store dining experience and it was not a happy one. UPDATE: Had to go with family gathering. Party room was dingy and felt dirty. The waiter wrote the wrong persons name on the party room and just erased it instead of changing it. My burger had plastic in it. Plastic. Waiter first expected me to eat it anyway. Then after continuing to complain he replaced it with a burger almost two hours after we got there. Games didn't work well. Most were ex
Love the food! Friendly staff with good attitude. Excellent atmosphere for quiet conversations and lively for entertainment.
Jordan was a great service he superseded our last experience. He took his time and made sure to get everything correct unlike the last server we had here. You can tell he cares about his job and the people he serves
Annika was the best server we've ever had! She made my 5 yr olds birthday the best night ever!! Thank you so much !!!!
Jaedyn did such a great job taking care of us. Thank you for the great dinning experience.
My husband and I went for lunch. We were skeptical because of the atmosphere we had heard about and being a pretty rough night scene. We decided to give it a try and we're pleasantly surprised. The food was good and our server was very attentive. We would definitely go back.
We had my husband bday dinner there and we had a blast my family is a little crazy and the server was amazing
We had my daughter's 31st birthday party here 9/20/24. The party host is great to orders fast got drinks fast when it came down to the food other people got their food first we got ours last I didn't like that when we got our food everybody was already done eating had to wait for us to eat it was a hot mess and I noticed the menu had changed for the party rooms there was no fajitas on there I was not happy with the menu didn't really like anything on there
So I had my sons party here do NOT EAT HERE OR HAVE A PARTY ATLEAST FOOD CAME 30 MIN BEFORE THE END OF THE PARTY AND I PAID A GRAUTUITY TIP FOR THE WHOLE PARTY WHICH IS REQUIRED WHEN YOU RESERVE THE PARTY WELL THE WAITER PULLED A FAST ONE AND CHARGED EVRYONE IN MY FAMILY 20% As well SAYING IT WAS REQUIRED SMH WHICH WAS THE WHOLE POINT OF ME PAYING THAT EXTRA 75$ For Gratuity WHEN LEAVEING HE WAS EATING FRIES OFF OUR LEFT OVERS IT WAS NASTY AND THEN WHEN MANAGER CAME HE SAID SINCE SOME OF THEM USED CARD NOTH
Special thanks to Sidney for making our Grandson?s birthday a fun one. She was attentive and very helpful. We all appreciated her great attitude.
We come here on a weekly basis, some times two or three times a week. service is always great! Alyssa is usually our waitress and if she isn't we request her. She is great and and alway keeps our drinks refilled! Very friendly!!!
Annika was our waitress and she was amazing! Should give her a raise! The food was also great!
Luke was our waiter and he was the best. No complaints from us. He checked on us Constantly. Really great service. The games were fun but good lord you can run through 10 bucks in a hurry.
The last few times I have been to copper, it took me back to my childhood days. The food is good and hot and service was impeccable! We had at least 20 in our party and Domingo handled us plus two other tables! He didn't miss a beat and handled everything we threw at him! Great job!
Stopped in Today, had a Beautiful afternoon and some delicious soup and Burger. Staff was AMAZING! Carlos has ESP.!Thanks Again ??????
Jalape?o popper dip with bacon bits on top was life changing. Our waiter Domingo took the best care of us. We also had so much fun playing games in the arcade. This is a place you cannot pass up!
We waited over an hour while the kids were screaming their heads off. I guess at least the kids have fun but I hated it. Then the food was terrible and I ordered fajitas and they took like 15 minutes to get my flour tortillas with my food, as they served other tables and forgot completely about me even after I asked for said flour tortillas. Maybe a good place for kids but I don't plan to ever eat there again never say never but I'm going to say never on that one!
I'm extremely disappointed with how I was just served. Our waiter barely paid any attention to us but was waiting on the table in front of us more frequently. We got an appetizer to share, wings, and a kids meal for my son. I didnt Realize it was so small so we brought it up when it came out. Mind you we paid $46 for those 3 items plus the styrofoam cup my son?s sprite came in!!! When we didn't order a bunch of food the man got irritated. When we went to leave we were upset because the nachos we got had ma
My kid and my wife had fun. And me too.?? Great service. Food is good..
Family went to have lunch and were planning on bringing me my usual (couldn't leave the house due to back issues) but the waitress was rude and my wife never got her order. We drive from Tahoka and pick a place every weekend to eat as a family this place is more than likely to come off of our recommend list.
It was great!!! I loved the food and the atmosphere there
Where do I begin, the food is alwaysso delicious. With all the games they have to offer it's such a great way to spend it with the children for a family night, before or after a great meal. It also has a great bar area if you want to drink and socialize with friends. This is a place for everyone.
After we were seated it took over 10 minutes for a waiter to finally come to our table. Took very long getting back to check on us and bring our ticket . Food was good, service was disappointing.
I have supper here sometimes ,the big Hott wings r the Bomb here with a cold beer.
Every moment spent in this Google application because i like a beautiful page like Google map like this my own love , filled with happiness and joy always whispers of forever. laughter is my favorite sound, my greatest treasure,I love ????
Domingo gave us excellent service! Our food was out in less than 10 minutes! The bathrooms were clean and our food was delicious. Only regret was not having a chance to play the games.
Annika was an amazing server. Very attentive. Thank you for your kindness!!
Had to wait several minutes to get seated, and took another 10 for the waiter to come to our table. Food was good but service could have been better.
I haven't ever eaten here and really liked the food! I got the combination fajitas and it was ample, enough for three meals! Other than the louder game type atmosphere it was pleasant inside!
The jalapeno popper dip was life-changingly good. The fajitaladas with fajita veggies rolled inside with excellent as well. Our server Domingo was very very good too. There's also a very nice full arcade, and full bar, and plenty of space. We're definitely going to visit again next time we're in Lubbock, Texas.
It's a new story every time for this place. In order food one day for a special and it's fine I can get it to go. Then later on in the week I go to order the same thing and get told they can't do the special on to go orders. Get really bothersome especially when I call things in ahead and I get to the place to pick up my food and it's not even ready for pick up. Not to mention dine in the staff is always so rude except one nice lady at the bar and takes way too long to get a check.
Love it all even the bar of is wasn't for the other costumers I would easily give it 5 star's.
They were pretty much out of everything that was in the menu. The waiter was super friendly but poor thing kept coming back to tell us that something was not available after we ordered. The food portion was also in the small side of things for the price.
I don't write a lot of reviews but today was pretty awful. We met a group of about 15 people for a birthday party and we were so disappointed with the service. We had to wait for a while (10 mins!) before we even got acknowledged and our drink order taken?it took even longer to order food. We had to tell our waiter Patrick that we were ready to order after waiting for quite a while and he said ?YEAH, I bet you are? When he got to our two person order he said we were ordering ?too rapidfire and we need
Highly recommend this place. Tiffany the manager is awesome and makes sure all the guests are taken care of. The whole time we were there she was going table to table to check on tables and see if they needed anything. Bearded Jackson (Jesus) is the waiter you should ask for for great service. Very attentive. We had the nachos, fried zucchini and jalape?os popper dip. We were stuffed and all three were great! Great Food, Atmosphere, and games, to play and to watch on TV. I will be back to watch games in
Fun for adults and kids! ALWAYS have a special on DRINKS everyday something different. Also have party rooms for any events. I've had a few some birthdays for kids and xmas get together for work.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
