The arcade receives mixed reviews, with many praising the friendly staff and fun atmosphere, especially for young kids. However, frequent complaints highlight broken or rigged machines, poor maintenance, and high prices. Some visitors had great experiences with VR and claw games, while others called it a waste of money due to malfunctioning equipment and unfair setups. Customer Reviews

I recently took my band of 56 students to Almeda mall to perform. After our performance they were allowed to go to this arcade and it did not disappoint. The kids had a great time. The games are very fun and the atmosphere is very cool. The staff was also very kind and helpful to our students. We will absolutely be going again next year.

I've lived in this area all my life and have always gone to almeda mall! It's very satisfying to see an arcade in the same space as one from my childhood. The prices are fair and this is mostly for small kids but all my kids enjoy it! Definitely recommend this place if you have kids and in this area!

Save your money if you plan to use the crane machines. They are either broken or rigged. I'm a pretty decent crane machine player and I saw the claw drop my plush several times. Wasted $10 for nothing. The attendant was super nice. It was terribly hot in there too

The staff was amazing, so friendly, while it's meant for younger kids she was so accommodating towards me and the older kids when it came to the claw machines. Moving bears to certain machines so we had better chance of winning, you can also purchase bears if you have no success wining them which I found to be amazing, they have many high quality stuffed animals in the claws. Over all an amazing experience definitely will go back again.

This place is hot as he'll, no AC, Claw machines sux, Spent $$$$ = 0 stuff animals. Please avoid this place. I'm highly recommend Clawmania Kingdom on Bellaire that place is amazing.

Im not sure why but the place was super hot, no A/C. I don't recommend spending your money here, the claw machines are rigged. Some games did not even work. Either the games froze or it just took the tokens. I honestly don't recommend place.

Large selection of claw machines available, however many are broken. Most machines have issues with the coin mechs or with the mechanics themselves. Games are only $0.75 to $1.50 per play, but they are set very weak and are almost impossible to win. The arcade was also blaring very loud music, which made it difficult to film a YouTube video. Overall, I won a few prizes but maintenance was poor and machines were unfair for only giving out generic prizes.

We had my nephew 7th birthday party here. We truly had a blast! The staff was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC ! They were very helpful with anything I needed. They also helped me set up! Which was a real big help! Definitely was worth the money and will come back again!!!

It was alright. Paid $30 for tokens, only to find out that most of the games do not give out tickets, except for maybe 1. Machines kept saying ticket error but the employee just apologized and said some do, but most don't. One machine gave us tickets. 3 tickets to be exact. It'll be hard for anyone to acquire your 300+ ticket prices. About twenty claw machines, with toys that are entirely too big for the claws. Bumper karts were basically the only "fun" part. The music is obnoxiously loud and I wouldn't rec

It's a great ideal for toddlers and all. But a lot of the machines are broken and they don't give you coins that you lose on the machines back for the one's that don't work. It's like a $1 a token. Totally not worth it for all the broken machines you have.

Staff was friendly and place was clean but getting tokens was pricey. Most of the games were not functioning correctly so the employee gave me tokens back for the games that didn't work. The arcade is more for the little ones not so much for teens or adults except a virtual reality game but that one is $15 to play and 2 other ones you can use tokens.

The staff was so nice and sweet! This is also a good place to take your little kids since there are lots of games for them but plenty for the big kids too!!!

Wow! To say I was pleased was an understatement. Not only was the staff so nice, but the games were spectacular. Been going there for about 2+ years and have never been disappointed. So affordable!

Nice place to take the kids, some machines didn't work and there were quite a few waiting to be installed. Wasn't busy because it was early, you should take the kids.

There were a lot of broken machines, the bumper cars or animals were not working. The one employee that was there was on her cell phone the entire time and when you needed assistance she acted as if we were bothering her. Total waste of money.

Amazing arcade games at even better prices. My family definitely enjoyed it. Will return soon??

The games were very very very sparse. The little games they had very Were mostly broken. I was embarrassed that I brought my nephew here. I'll never return to this place. It was a disaster. Save your time and money, Don't go here!

Me and my family only stopped in to look on the way out the mall and ended up playing basketball we didn't stay long it's more for little toddler size kids very cool little toddler spot but that's about it

I loved it. My friend and i went there and had a blast with her kids, i wish i could remember the young lady who helped us, she was awesome.

I went here for a birthday and the care of the staff was wonderful, had such a good experience with everyone and everything.

Most of the machines were broken. The young lady working the desk did her best to refund the tokens that were taken.

The worst arcade ever. I went in and its absolutely unorginized and also most games are rip offs or dont work (total waste of money). This is a discrace to gaming everywhere

Terrible the website look better than the place half of the games worked bumper cars space wasn't big the only things worked was the claw and VR wasted 105 on groupon even my kids didn't like it

I played bumper cars awesome I played a vr game very fun and I played a claw game and won a potato dog thing

Prices are kinda whack for emulator machines. Its like a dollar a token for metal slug plus no ddr machine

It was so fun but there was an elephant i couldn't get ??

The 5 star reviews must be fake ,,,There is no way its real.

All the games in this place is old and beat up the machines take your coins

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
