Highly recommend for an affordable night out with friends or family. It's a large 2 story building with lots of free activities. Duckpin bowling was very popular and had a long wait time so we didn't get to play that. But we didn't pay for anything except for our drinks tonight, we did all the free activities and still really enjoyed ourselves. They do have a cutoff for kids so adults can play throughout the night. They do card everyone who walks in after that time.

My oldest found this place as an option for us to check out to have some fun on a Sunday night and it was an awesome find! On the other side of the bridge from where we're staying, it was a 5 minute drive, which wasn't bad at all. The staff was all very friendly and informative, since we'd not been here before and had no idea how everything worked. The arcade part is actually free, which was very surprising and awesome! So we went and played some of the old arcade games, skeeball and Nintendo. We had a

Had my daughter?s surprise birthday party here and it was amazing! they were very accommodating and loved all the retro games and the atmosphere. Special thanks to our Bartender Kenzie and Luke they were fabulous! Can't forget our greeter, Jenny, who made everything just perfect!

I'm gonna miss this place so much! I know there's other locations, but the Columbus one was special to me. I had so many amazing memories there, and it was truly a staple in all of my trips to Columbus. The small vibes versus the giant, 2 floor Pins are just totally not the same. I'll truly miss this lil barcade. It was the first stop where I'd pregame before every concert I went to. Thanks for being a part of my core memories/adventures in Columbus over the last 4ish years.

Came in on a Monday afternoon right when they opened. It was my first time at the new location and it's really nice!!! I wish they had a few more free play games, but it's still great! A cocktail will cost an average of $10 fyi. 16-bit is attached to a bowling alley too! Great spot for a date!

I'd you're looking for a fun place and like arcade style gaming, for free mostly, 16-Bit is the place. Bring fun company, and you'll have a blast. There is so much to enjoy.

We wish we had a place like this in our area! Cool stop for families, groups or anyone looking to have fun! Even the cocktails at the bar have cool names ! A little of nostalgia and a lot of great times !

Great drink choices. I went with "Smashed Berries"- highly recommend!!

Went here for my birthday January 31st 2025 and I really enjoyed myself. I played some old school arcade games I haven't played since the early 90s and I got a couple of drinks too! Loved the music played as well! I just wish they did something special for peoples birthdays. Also wish they had food but I still had a good time! I will definitely be going back soon!

Lovely place to hang out and play some awesome games!

This place is absolutely amazing. My daughter wanted to play some arcade games so we stopped in. It's really a blast from the past for me and I got to share it with her. Staff is super friendly and helpful. They don't serve food but you can bring food from outside and they have tables. We really enjoyed the bowling and it's free for children on Sundays. They have big Jenga and NintendoS set up For the kids. All of the arcade games and ski ball is free so you can really take your kids on a budget. They also

Great place! Fun games. The drinks are pricey. But you can tell that's where they make money from. Definitely recommend duck pin bowling!!

Ugh I loved this place it was a whole vibe and apparently can be kid friendly before 8pm. The drinks are bomb and Gavin was super helpful in helping me to navigate the space. Mikey made some amazing drinks and I didn't catch the 2 girls names but they were walking around with green tea shots and I almost died. Loved every moment there. We played so many of the FREE arcade games and even took a crack at bowling after Steven suggested we should. 10/10 would reccomend and am for sure returning soon. They can h

Great place to hang out. Clean, interesting and fun! Beers are $8-$11 and did not see any food options available. Arcade cabinets are $.25 and pinball is $1 Mini NES and Sega classic available for free with comfy chairs. Plenty of other games available like ring throwing and bocce ball

Love love love this place. The new location is amazing! Definitely a must go your next night out. They have games that are free to play, there is bowling downstairs, there is giant Janga, As well as a giant connect four. They don't serve food but you are free to bring in what ever food you want

Take me back to the 80s!!! What this place does! Sip on a drink and play for free!!! Pinball is a buck a game and bowling costs also. Great staff and a friendly atmosphere. Wife had the Hulk Hogan and I had a few Cheech Marins. Make this a stop on the to do list.

Cool place to visit! I was surprised to discover all the retro arcade games are free to play, so much 80s nostalgia to take in. Great beer selection, fantastic venue to meet with friends or special occasions.

This place is pretty great. Drinks were slow though. But lots of things to do. Lots of different arcade games and other games

What a fun place!! We had a blast playing duck pin, arcade games and pinball. Great for families! Our waitress Sho was amazing!

The GM Dan made the Mortal Kombat Kommunity visiting Cleveland for Cleveland gaming Classic and meeting the CoCreators of Mortal Kombat made us feel at home... We drank the best Craft Beers that the CLE had to offer and even fixed the MK4 machine that we may or may not have broken whole we were here. 100 ounces beer towers of Collision Bend beer, video games, and bowling how could you not go wrong here.

Cool place to go hang out. They have all kinds of arcade games, bocce ball, pinball, giant jenga and lots of other cool games to entertain yourself and friends. Drinks were also good and very cool atmosphere and decorations

Probably the coolest bar I been to. Has so many games, I could be there for hours. Great place to go with a group of friends or date nights.

There is no food, There are drinks . This place is a laid-back chilled out of the way hidden Gem ??. ?????Recommend. [This is Pins Mechanical to my understanding same Place ]

April 2022: This new location has only been open for a few weeks. I stopped her with a friend to see how it was. Pros: * Very spacious, renovated warehouse styled setting with arcade games upstairs and downstairs. * Potent drinks. My friend ordered the Hulk Hogan and I ordered the Great Lakes Chillwave, which is the best IPA that I've ever had in terms hops and potency. * Vast amount of old school classics games such as Mario Bors, TMNT, X-Men, Street Fighter, MK2, Joust, Centipede, Donkey Kong, NBA Jam, S

Fun place to hang out for a while. Nostalgic arcade games from the 80s and 90s. Those are free to play, but $1.00 for the pinball. Good drink selections. Go during happy hour for drink specials and a couple of bucks off the drafts

Very cool place! Retro vibe with alcohol. No kids after 8pm. You can door dash here.

My girl Sho don't play about us! She is the sweetest, most kindest, loving, caring person in that joint. Could not thank her enough for her hospitality, love, and service!

"Free" arcade bar??? SIGN ME UP! I went on a Monday night and it was petty much empty with some people trickling in and out. Skee ball? All day babyyy. Tron? They gotchu. Everything on the top floor seemed free and the bottom floor seemed like the more premium paid stuff. My favorite? Go to the corner near the washrooms on the top floor and play Off Road with the steering wheel. It's stupid fun, very easy, and simultaneously two players lol. Monday night is amazing with half off Duck pins and free after

This was an amazing place! It is seldom to find friendly staff, great drinks, fully handicap accessible and nostalgia! It was a perfect place to have a relaxing afternoon!

We went to 16 Bit and had a great time. TeShona was super attentive and helpful. 10/10 would come again!

All the full size video games You would expect to see from the 80s are here! Donkey Kong Dig Dug NBA Jam Kiss pinball over 40 selections. It's glorious! A wide drink variety with a intelligent staff to mix up any of your favorite treats. Great place for groups highly recommend a visit.n

We stopped in yesterday around noon for a drink and to get out of the cold and stayed longer than planned! The games were fun and the bartender, was amazing and friendly!

Super loud. Was there for a birthday party and hard to hear everyone. Drinks are fun but expensive

The Only Recommendation is They Need Food at least Appetizers. Love coming here. All the Big Cuzns come hang out here wit us

This bar is huge. Wide variety of drinks and themed cocktails to try. Lots of space to accommodate tons of people. Lots of TVs throughout. The only bummer is there is probably about 15-20 arcade stands throughout the bar. Now that my seem like a lot but they put them in some of the most high traffic areas. And when you bar packs about 3-400+ people it's next to impossible to get a chance to either get up to a game let alone play one.

My husband and I came here on a random Sunday and had a BLAST! We had two drinks and played a few free games like the ring toss, Jenga, and TMNT. The pinball games cost money and obviously, the duck pin bowling. Everything was working, clean and easy to navigate. Our bartender was kind and offered great drink suggestions. There is something here for everyone and it's a guaranteed good time!

I wanted to change my 4star to a 5star. Great place over all lots space... great drinks... good prices far as servies and drink wise.. Good place for a date.. some of my favorite childhood games I grew up playing!! Very friendly place you can also order food or bring food with you to eat here and alot of places don't allow that witch makes this place epic????

We had a great time playing the 80's arcade games. Lots to do. We got there around 6:00 pm. Wasn't too crowded.

Decent beer selection. Service was great. Free gameplay is awesome but could use a little bigger selection.

An absolute gem of fun for all ages. One of Cleveland's new, premier spots. Free games, affordable drinks, great location!

Wonderful place, lots of machines in good condition, and set to freeplay! Would love to go again, if I lived in the area. Es weno ??

Free classic games and yummy drinks. Definitely recommended for date night out!

This place is fantastic, but I gave it three stars instead of 5 because I went there on a Monday, and the music was deafening for no reason. I understand why it should be loud on weekends, but Monday, I thought I would be able to chill and talk with friends. The volume of music most definitely changed the vibes.

Probably my favorite attraction in the area. Lots of free arcade games and great bars upstairs and down stairs. Duckpin bowling downstairs amazing.

What a great little bar! Ordered the Kevin Bacon, Hulk Hogan, and Lisa Frank over the course of the night. The latter tasted like sour candy. The staff was friendly, the bathrooms were clean, and the concept is great! Had so much fun. Wish we had one where I'm from!

They didn't serve food but other than that this place is perfect ! I had so much fun here the drinks were pretty good too

This location is fantastic! The arcade games are the perfect nostalgia and the pinball is tons of fun. The bartenders made amazing drinks and we're friendly in explaining the new location. I will definitely be back!

This place is amazing. You should visit if u r in Cleveland. Arcade games are free, duckpin bowling at the lower level, delicious drinks, beautiful atmosphere.

A great place to have a drink and play games with friends. Lots of free arcade games and Jenga. No food on site but BYOF.

Nice spot to chill by yourself socializing or just out for s date A variety of unique drinks and games

Excellent games and amazing drinks! All the games are free to play, except the pinball. Otherwise we really enjoyed a night out here! All the drinks are retro themed and the prices are pretty good too.

This is a nice little arcade bar. I've been to much better arcade bar in terms of selection, but it's still a good time. The arcade games are all set to free play and the pinball machines are 50 cents per game. They don't have any other games like other arcade bars tend to have. It can get pretty crowded even early in the night. The themes drinks and slush puppies are a nice touch.

I love arcade bars! Especially when they are dog friendly! I brought my pup Loki the Basenji. He was a hit! I also beat Killer Instinct, per usual. Will definitely be back again when I am in town!

Great Vibes! Highly recommend!

Awesome fun! A staff member at Melt recommended 16-Bit, and I'm so glad I listened. Really friendly bar staff and pleasant crowd. The unique drinks and variety of games make the experience.

This place is Kool. One side is the bowling alley, the other side has arcade games. The arcade games are free. I went with my friends we were not going for food but I didn't see a food menu. 16-bit is kid friendly until 8pm. The door says they have to be accompanied by an adult. I had a Carrie Fisher ...not bad. A definite chill spot.

Great arcade place. I had to give it 4 stars cause the street fighter 2 arcade was out of order. The only arcade machine that was not working ??

Drove 45 minutes on a Monday when it says their hours are 4-11:30 but the doors were locked at 6. There were still people inside and the bartender just stared at me for a second then went back to whatever he was doing. I understand closing early but 2 hours after opening? Not going to waste my time and gas trying to go back they could have put a sign up or came to the door amd said they were closed. Unprofessional.

Free arcade games, 30+ taps, doggos allowed! This place is the new poppin bar in Ohio city. Great for a weekend night with friends. No food but plenty of liquid calories, including fresh made on-theme signature cocktails.

Such a fun place. Plenty of games for all ages with a quality selection of draft beers as well. SYD our bartender was crazy fun to be around

This is a good place with a huge craft beer list and a full liquor menu however they do not serve food but you're allowed to bring in your own food

All your favorite classics! Arcades were amazing, now a thing of the past, I hope this business continues to flourish. Sundays, until 5pm I believe, you can bring the little ones to play as well.

I went to Pins on a whim & the bartender Channel was so kind and friendly telling us the specials of the night. Along with the awesome drinks she made us I was stunned to find out the games were free! It's a cool place to check out if you're ever in Cleveland!

Teshona was amazing server she's so nice and made sure we had everything we neede

Pretty cool barcade. Drinks were responsibly priced arcade games were free except the pinball which is 50 cents so that's reasonable. All the drinks were named after 80s pop stars and pretty tasty. Several old school systems hooked up on the patio as well as lots of heaters. I'd recommend getting there earlier if you want to really play anything because when we came back later at night it was packed in there. seemed to have good specials depending on the day as well. No food options however they do let you

Taylor and Tara LOVE my service. Ladies you are a real rockstar

This place is really cool and has lots of old arcade games that I haven't played for years. I had a great time!

This review was for the Lakewood location which has since closed. Fun place with many vintage video games and a few pinballs. Buy a drink and play video games for free. Pinball is $0.50. There is some metered parking, free in the evening, across the street and a little east. Here's a few of my old favorites.

I love a good barcade! 16 bit is a pretty good one. While the games are free, they make up for it in the price of the drinks! If you're on a budget, make sure you ask about prices before ordering something because some of the items are pretty high priced. They have a good game selection for the most part, but we noticed at least 3 machines were either down or had crucial buttons missing. It was a bit of a bummer. I miss 16 bit when they were in Lakewood! It's still a fun time each time I go, but it feels l

Fun place to get your game on, pretty spacious, clean both times I have been, love that the arcade games are free and that they have boozy slushies.

Get 3 stars because when its packed like sardines there are 2 maybe 3 bartenders and they seem overwhelmed. Once after 10 minutes and not even a glance over, we left. We squeezed our way thru the possibly over occupied building and drove to gordon square. When its Friday or Saturday night, dont even bother. We went to super electric pinball, drank beer and played pinball. Drinks are cool and original. Lots of craft beer. At least for the weekends, they could use double the space or a a couple more locations

No food, only booze and games. But you can bring your own food.

I visited 16-Bit Bar+Arcade in Cleveland for the first time last night to celebrate my sister and her fianc??s engagement. Although our initial plan to enjoy the duckpin bowling alley was thwarted by its unexpected closure due to a private event without prior notice on social media, the overall experience was still quite enjoyable. I suspect the closure might have been due to power issues caused by the tornado-like storm on August 6, which was a bit of a letdown since we were really looking forward to bowli

I visited 16Bit this weekend and it was date night so the games there 10/10 I RECOMMEND. But when we got our drinks the service was very unprofessional 0/10. A server took our order in the line and told us to go to the bartender. When i finally got to the bartender Lyn she didn't know what i was talking about , thank god she was sweet , professional & very understanding and took care of the whole situation. I think it's very unprofessional for someone to take my order and send me to someone else who didn't

Really fun spot! Drinks are $12 each for cocktails. There are some fun, unique cocktails! Love that the games are free. It's so much fun to try new games I wouldn't otherwise. We bring our out of town guests here and they love it.

$65 for 2 doubles of Henny was outrageous. It's a fun place but sheesh! Everyone dosent like fruity drinks. But my goodness the drink prices here are crazy.

I absolutely loved the drink menu. The bar itself is very nostalgic. I loved playing the 16 bit games and pinball. I had a great time. This is definitely a place to check out.

Fun times. Grab a drink and play some fun old arcade games for free. The bartenders were great.

Charged us $8/shot despite it being $3/shot. Even voided our earlier $3 shots and demanded we pay $8 per shots we ALREADY paid for

This place was so fun games were free highly recommend

Place was solid! Leo and Morgan were amazing! Best bartenders I've had in a long time and drinks were on point!

Don't waste your time here. I was there tonight and bought two drinks before the manager accused me of bringing in a drink from outside (I DID NOT). Once he rolled the security footage and saw that I did not he didn't offer an apology himself. He sent another employee to apologize with ?free play? cards What a coward ! He publicly embarrassed me but was not man enough to apologize. I will never ever Combe back

This place is heckin' rad. Free play arcades, rockin' cocktails, a sizeable craft draft list, and nightly events. You owe it to yourself to hang out here.

Came here for Mom?s night out. The music wasn't too loud, lots and lots of games to play with, wasn't crowded for a weekend. We were new to the area and the staff were all super nice to recommend us good restaurants and bars around the town.

Honestly at 8-11 dollars a beer you would expect the games to be in good working g condition out of the 5 games I tried 4 barely worked either the movement or buttons failing to respond. I really had high hopes of playing some games from my youth. But sadly very few well enough to be enjoyed.

Unofficially celebrated a birthday here. Great service.

Fun place, lots of free games. The drink prices are high but reasonable for the area.

This is a not a bar!! It's a kids arcade, that serves alcohol. I'm here on a Saturday afternoon with a group of friends and can't even get to a machine because the entire space is occupied by drunk parent pushing their kids on video game.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pinball tables still good in this modern age?

Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.

Are retro games in arcades still good in this modern age?

Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
