Customer Reviews

This place was packed!! when we got there. Its a nice little vibe with a lot to do if you want to wait on games. We got drinks and walked around watching people play games because the wait for duckpin bowling was 1.5! Definitely a place you want to reserve/book ahead of time. They have a lot of free options as well so that was great. We really enjoyed our time there. Even the workers were super nice and the washrooms were clean.

We were looking for a bar that had games, and this place definitely was not lacking. There was a ton of free games to choose from, depending on the day of the week you go payment may be required. Me and my friend went on a Monday night and a lot of stuff was free to play and very large drink menu to choose from!!

Absolutely love this place! Drinks are great plus you can bring your dog! They even give you a doggie goody bag with toys & treat when you get there!

Lots of good drinks that can be made for you with a variety of things to do ranging from ping pong and big beer pong to pinball machines and vintage arcade games. But the highlight is the duckpin bowling that takes up a lot of space and is super fun if you haven't tried, it's mini bowling!

We Had a great experience at 16 Bit Arcade Bar. We had a large corporate event with close to 50 people and they met our every expectation. All of the guests commented on how much fun it was as well. Dimitri took great care of our group while we were there, so big thanks to him. We did have one issue, but the staff was able to get it resolved for us and all was well. I think it actually says more about an establishment when there is a problem, and they came through with flying colors. Thanks to Faith,

Fun and lively place. Bit of a wait for activities. Reservations are key for those options. Lots of arcade machines all set to free play, and good pinball selection for $1 plays. The only issue was the reliance on text message for notifications. We are from out of the country and missed out on a couple of activities we signed up for.

We were in town for the Gen-X Takeover. Right after we started the carnivore diet, lol. The bartenders were understanding and helpful with our goal to stay with 0 carbs and 0 sugars. The games were awesome though the Galaga machine was not very responsive to the joystick. We had a great time!

Stopped by to kill some time during a hot day. A really cool concept, wish it was a little less busy so that we could enjoy some of the games that were offered. They definitely have a great cross-section of different entertainment. The beer and drink options are plentiful. The wait for bowling was like 3 hours on a Saturday afternoon. A lot of the free to play arcade games were beat to hell, could definitely use some TLC. About 1/3 of them were unplayable. Can't complain too much, since they are free. C

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience here. The bartenders were extremely friendly and Knowledgable about the drink options and provided insight to what to recommend based on our likes. Also, when one of the pinball machines flippers wasn't working the workers immediately came over, posted on the non-working machine, and gave us 6 (which is $6!!!!!) credits for pinball. They made a great experience and we will definitely be coming back.

Awesome awesome place. So many free attractions for people to enjoy. Arcades, corn hole, swings, duckpin, beer pong. Just a few of their activities. Also for 40 bucks you can make interesting life choices and buy a 2 gallon punch. It is hilarious they sing as they prepare it. Awesome atmosphere.

Thursday night we went for drinks and bowling. After getting in and paying for the games the female bartender serving slushies refused to serve my friend drinks because of a "invalid ID" then had us kicked out of the building. Asain gentleman up front was very apologetic and helpful with getting refunds. The security as well were very respectful and didn't understand why we were being removed. The bartender had an attitude from the start and seemed to be looking for problems with anything and cut our night

Fun place, casual atmosphere with a good selection of arcade games if you get bored

Good drinks, I was excited to see non-alcoholic options. The games were fun and had a lot of old, but maybe problematic, classic games. Had a lot of fun, was very crowded.

This place and atmosphere was perfect. The construction outside was a bit of a aggravating but that's not their fault. The pin ball machines were awesome to play and the various table top games was fun. My only complaint was the condition of the arcade machines. OVER HALF did not function correctly. Several classic games are in need of repair and some TLC. I get that they are free to play but I was really let down by their condition. Mk3, donkey Kong, Pacman and many others are unplayable. Outside of the

I absolutely love this place! It is so retro and cute. They have free arcade games that are not available any where else which really makes it a must go. I spent hours in there playing the games and never got bored. The bathrooms are really nice and never dirty. The only con is that they don't serve any food so if your hungry bring snacks or go to the food truck that is sometimes right outside.

Amazing place. From out of town, ended up here by chance, but it's incredible. I've lived in other cities and have been to many other barcades and bowling/bars but nothing compares. Talked to staff (very friendly) and found out it's their third night open, which explains the light crowd. Tons of space, lots of games (many of which are free) and good drinks. Highly highly recommended ? if i lived here I'd be a regular.

Place has potential to be fun - the drinks are overpriced & super sugary. The service was also atrocious - ordered drinks from the bar near the entrance and the server had an awful attitude, it was obvious that he didn't want to be there. I asked for a slushee and he served me a cup full of melted syrup that had already been sitting at the machine with no remorse. Waste of money, better off just going to a Dave&Busters.

It's an 80s baby's paradise!! Free arcade games, $1 pinball, and 50? foosball (unfortunately the table was under repair during my visit). There's also bocce ball and mini bowling. The drinks are extra sweet and filled with candies. Def bring your sweet tooth. If you'd like a less sugary drink they have a bar and beers available. Very fun place!! Paid parking is in the area but we took a Lyft.

This place is awesome! All the arcade games and video games with sonic is great. They do have duck pin bowling for $5 which isn't bad, however, the wait can get really long for it. They have a decent beer menu. I just wish they had food. You can find food trucks outside a lot. The place is huge and has something for everyone.

Place is super fun, but very crowded. The wait for duckpin bowling goes fast, but if they are too busy they will limit the number of games. The arcade games are fun, and they have many other activities. You will not be bored here. Plus they have a decent beer and drink selection.

Friendly bartenders, fun drink menu, awesome decor, and plenty of things to do. I ended up spending most of my night playing arcade games that I'd completely forgotten about, like Joust, Defender, Space Invaders, Q-Bert, etc. as well as duckpin bowling and backyard games like ring toss, bocce, cornhole. If I'm ever back in Nashville, this will be my first stop for sure.

The facility is 5 star and drinks are great. Games are fun and they let you bring your dog. Great if you Uber but there are no parking spots and no food. You can bring your own food in but we had to leave because our friends couldn't find anywhere to park, at 5:15pm. If they had a valet at least, it would get 5 star.

highly recommend this place! me and my fianc? had a great time there. fun and high quality Cocktails yumm

Great venue, loved the minature bowling. Food trucks outside entrance. Many vintage arcade games. Clean.

Very enjoyable atmosphere, great selection of games ( i played dig dug for like 30 mins), and great selections of drinks. Definitely recommended if you enjoy any type of retro geeky vibe. Enjoy the atmosphere and the bowling is a huge plus!

Amazing!!!!! Even with covid restrictions was a blast to stop in, grab a drink and enjoy a fun night. Didn't know that DOGS ARE ALLOWED inside and out as of today! Majority of games are free/crazy cheap: .50/pinball, etc. Came on a weeknight so it was quiet but the entire staff was friendly and helpful. Wish I was a local. 100% recommend.

Video games, pinball and bowling. What more do you need?

Cool place to have some fun and get drunk. They have an arcade area that's free to play. There's a dozen or so pinball machines that cost money to play. There's also pong pong table, mini bowling, giant Jenga, bocce ball and a couple other games we did a chance to try. They have 24 taps so always a good variety.

Good place. A little hard to get to. My wife and I definitely enjoyed the beer pong outside made our of big garbage cans and a ball. Vintage pinball games were also nice and nostalgic.

Waited 25 minutes AT THE BAR waiting for a drink, card in hand. I've worked at quite a few restaurants and bars. Watch the bar. 3 different people were served before us that were "seated" after us. We left as the 4th person was served. We were never even acknowledged. I'm not one to leave reviews or to dis service. These are weird times, and things are out of the norm. Even if it has been this way for a year. But we will not be back.

My friends and I stumbled upon this place by accident but it ended up being one of the MOST FUN stops we've had on our entire trip. All of the arcade games (except for pinball) are free to play and my competitive friends and I had a BALL playing some retro Mario Kart and NBA Jam. Don't be a machine hog though, you can easily break-up a virtual play session with something real, like a round of bowling, ping-pong, foosball or bucket-sized beer pong. If you get tired of the classic night out on Broadway, cons

Drinks were good. Atmosphere is great. A tad pricey, but a super fun place. The vodka, passion fruit puree and ginger beer drink (name?) Was really good.

This is an incredible place we discovered on our last day in Nashville. Lots of retro video games that are free. Some highlights are the Turtles, Simpsons, Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter 2! We didn't try the mini bowling thing. It's mostly a bar but there was a food truck thing outside. This would be great as a restaurant too. Also, an outdoor fire pit. Everything was perfect except the girl at the front desk wasn't the friendliest and kept annoying us about wearing masks. Other places weren't that aggre

Pinball was fun but at a dollar a game we didn't play as long. The music could have had more variety, as it was geared to the younger crowd in the gulch. Parking was.difficult to find.

Biggest complaint is the lack of skee ball. The .50 cent pinball and reasonable drink prices make this place shine. Also be careful in the parking lots and side walk, quite a few shady characters offering free drugs to ladies.

Our business had the pleasure of installing the floors in this place. Great construction team, and owner was kind enough to buy all the workers lunch! This place is beautiful, trendy, and I look forward to many date nights here.

Cool vibe! But paying $20 for a mezcal old fashion seemed a bit much considering the specialty cocktails are listed for $12. Probably wouldn't come back for drinks.

Weak drinks and very underwhelming game selection.

Has potential but several pins were in meh condition which is off putting when you charge $1 per game. Godzilla right flipper was stuck, Monster Bash right flipper was super weak, Black Knight outer left lane jammed up and filled with balls, Fish Tales out of order, World Cup crashed mid game and took my $. Won't be back

Fantastic first week opening experience! So much extra space I hope they add more games because like any Nashville niche bar, it's going to get slammed! I love it and all the other locations

Trendy vibe, but overpriced drinks and paid parking. 2 Bits is better, all their games are free. Our bartender messed our order up and didnt even apologize. Give this one a pass.

Super awesome place to hang out! Drinks, games and fun.

Food, fun, and fellowship. It doesn't get any better than that.

Great arcade games. We had a blast getting to play. The mixed drinks were all $12 and delicious.

Amazing looking bar, very well thought out layout for the games. However they charge for the use of all games. They lose one star because I know their location in Cinncinnati has all the games for free.

Came here for the first time to celebrate my friend's birthday. I loved every minute of it. So much to do, and a great atmosphere. I will DEFINITELY be coming again. ??

Loved 16bit...great atmosphere and plenty of games. The Nashville is better than Indy! If you grew up in arcades this is the place for you!

Some of the games are a bit beaten up and don't work exactly well...but its free and fun. So many things to do for free here. Tasty drinks too...some with bombpops included...

Loved the variety of games, especially pinball we had a blast during our visit. Will definitely be back!

I loved this place. I did not know it existed and I want to return to get into the games. The fire pits were really nice and the food truck out front was delicious.

Amazing fun place to go with friends and family. Dog friendly too!

It's like this company has been inside of every person's head born between 1980 and 1990 and then plastered the walls with it. Glorious, amazing, super fun, worth the trip downtown.

Didnt have alot to do. Minimal games. No beer pong, no ping pong, and the staff couldve been alot nicer. i would recommend game terminal

Awesome atmosphere. Stayed true to the original 16-Bit in Columbus! Love the connection to Pins and the location.

Yet another gaming bar whose primary demographic is non-gamers. No modern consoles, no esports, not even a dock to play your own switch on their big screen TVs

Pinball machines, retro arcades, Super Nintendo, foosball, table tennis, giant Jenga, giant beer pong, giant connect 4, tiny bowling. GL HF

Not great but not bad. Drinks are expensive and ok, you pay for all the games but employees were all nice

Had a blast. I have been there a couple of times now Great for kids

Pinball junky. Good games. Can bring my teens at certain hours-just a ton to do. Recommend d.

Very unprofessional/unfriendly staff. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. The wait is crazy long and the game selection is not even worth it.

Valerie is amazing. Beautiful server. Attentive and generous. Made the night better.

They closed for a private event during normal operating hours. Made the trip there just to get turned away.

Great place, atmosphere, staff, and concept! Simply love it!! Would definitely recommend!

Good place to take the kids if you need a break from walking

Cold beer. Tons of arcade games, pinball games, and duck pinball. Fire pits and chill spots to hang with friends.

My experience was fun and delightful. Will take a date night here!

You guys need to update your hours for Covid so people don't show up when you're closed

Amazing atmosphere, delicious drinks and awesome non-alcoholic drinks

about half of the games are unplayable because they're broken.

We had so much fun. Staff was great

Fix the classic arcade games. :(

dropped a dog off outside there Great place to drop off a dog

Lots to do and a good variety of drink options.

Great atmosphere great staff would definitely go again

Great atmosphere, drinks and games!

Awesomely sweet but it's still pretty!

Awesome Spot! Fix Galaga!! Very Awesome!!

Fun place for drinks and fun games

Old-school arcade games for free!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pinball tables still good in this modern age?

Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.

Are retro games in arcades still good in this modern age?

Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
