I came here for the first time with my mother and brother. They card you at the door. Pinball machines and retro arcade games are everywhere. Pinball is $1 and everything else is free. They have a change machine and ATM. The giant slide was fun to go down and the Game Over drink was decent but not very strong. You get to keep the cup as a souvenir. This place is outstanding! We were in Indy for the weekend looking for some fun and this place nailed it. There are tons of pinball machines which are $1 to play, but every other game there is free! There are probably 30+ free play machines. From Miss PacMan to Mortal Combat, original donkey Kong, space invaders, racing games they really have everything. In Town for a conference, our vendor had a closed party at 16-Bit, what a great place, takes every Gen-X're back to their teens and 20's. Great service and an awesome craft beer selection on tap. Love the Neon Signs too.

They have lots of great options for games including skee-ball and ring tossing upstairs beyond just arcade games. The outdoor seating is nice and comfortable. I have been on a few occasions, and their mocktails for Dry January were creative and delicious. Their summer drinks right now are similarly unique. I would recommend going here for a group outing, but my husband and I enjoyed it as a stop for our date night on our anniversary.

This place has a great vibe, even if the bar service is a little slow. Plenty of games to keep you occupied while you wait. The music is good and the crowd seems friendly. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a chill spot. Just be prepared to spend some time waiting for your drink.

I recently visited 16-Bit and had an amazing time! The atmosphere was a perfect blend of nostalgic and modern, with a wide variety of classic arcade games and pinball machines. This place was a welcome surprise! We will definitely be returning! Morgan and Leo were awesome bartenders and made sure we were taken care of. Ive also never been to an arcade bar where all the games were free to play. The only games you pay to play are the classic pinball machines and they don't even keep the money - it goes to the Ronald McDonald house. So sit back, drink tons, and play until your hearts content. We definitely stayed well past what we were expecting.

This place was so much fun to hang out with friends! Their retro arcade games are free to play and they're pinball machines are $1 each. They even had console areas that you could play Nintendo and Sega & PlayStation games. The bartenders were absolutely awesome and so much fun to talk to. Great, nostalgic spot. Wide selection of games that are mostly free (with the exception of pinball). Lots of great options to play both solo and with friends. I normally would give a 5?? bc I have always had an amazing time here but on this visit the bouncer was immediately over complementary to me and my friends (I am currently in an ankle boot which will play in later). What a fun place! It's the Chuck E. Cheese for adults. Games are on free play, expect for pinball which is $1 a game. Very open inside. There is a fun slide you can take from the upstairs. Highly recommend for any adults looking for something to do in their free time!

Really cool vibe. Huge space with plenty of free arcade games, two floors, a slide, comfortable seats, friendly service, and a few NA options. There's also paid pinball and events they host. If I loved in Indy, I'd be here pretty often.

If you love old school arcades and NES, SNES and Mega drive videogames, you should definitely go. The best part is that they are FREE to play. They have also a fairly good selection of beers and a nice terrace. Very recommended.

Awesome and FUN place to stop at. I had found this place online before booking my trip to Indy and made sure to stop there while in the area. I LOVED the concept of playing the old arcade games, pinball machines, and ski-ball for FREE while sipping on delicious beers or drinks. The open garage door concept is brilliant in the summer time and nice to be able to sit on the turf just outside the walls. Came here for my friends birthday, B is the best bartender ever!! They are so nice and funny. Good music, fun atmosphere, I could see it being a nice place for all different generations. My favorite game was hookie and galaga <3

We went around 3:00pm on a rainy Saturday. Personally I loved it! I've seen some of the reviews of games not working or bartenders ignoring some, but I did not have the same experience. There were signs everywhere to tell staff if a game wasn't working properly and I never waited more than 30 seconds without being assisted by a bartender. In fact they were extremely accommodating volunteering to get me samples of stuff they thought I might like! Great experience for me.

Taylor and Tori were great! They definitely made the experience very enjoyable and we'll be back because of them.

I was there on a Wednesday, which was quiet but I loved this place. The nostalgia is amazing with the games and they have indoor and outdoor areas with cool fire pits. This is totally worth the visit!

I brought my friend here from out of town. Alex, our server, was just incredible and quickly become our new friend. Attentive, quick, and sweet, he served us the entire night and was so slay. I usually don't write reviews ever since my beautiful Yelp account got banned (for undisclosed reasons) but I had to come on here to say that Alex needs a raise IMMEDIATELY!!

Mimi was phenomenal. She was incredibly personable and very friendly. She offered great drink recommendations as well as nearby restaurant recommendations. She is a fabulous employee all-around!

Leo was a great bartender, and was super friendly, thoroughly enjoyed the beer selection, and the game selection was pure nostalgic goodness, complete with a few of the SNES/NES classic consoles.

Came here for a bachelorette weekend stop and it was awesome! The atmosphere was great and the arcade games we awesome. So many pinball machines. I had the drink called the Hulk Hogan and it literally had bomb pop inside it. They had a bunch of TVs as well, and apparently it is dog friendly because there were a couple doggos around. It got very busy but the bartenders we quick and efficient! Great place to stop by!

I really enjoyed this place. If I lived in Indy I could see myself coming here every other week just to have a drink play some games and relax. All the arcade cabinets were free to play and they have quite a selection. I reccomend stopping by just to take an hour or two, order a drink, and play some games.

Place is definitely cool. Has a lot of classic games but needs some more 4-6 player games. They did go all out on their designs, which is awesome. The whole place is like a modern retro bar. Definitely dig it. They have some cool cocktail options as well. Check it out.

B and Taylor were so awesome! The drink I wanted was out of stock so I asked if they could get creative, and they completely nailed it! Some bartenders don't know how to make yummy mocktails or aren't willing to stray from the menu, but these two made a delicious creation on the spot and made me feel so welcome! We are not from the area, but we came here because it appeared so dog friendly. Our little Bear had a blast at 16-bit. We were able to cool off inside and play outside. It was a wonderful place for all three of us to spend some time. Would highly recommend to any dog owners and lovers.

If you are into old school video games this is definitely the hangout spot! Has a wide variety of drinks they're named after well known celebrities and it's pretty awesome! I'd say half of every game we tried to play didn't work, and having to pay extra for pinball is weird... Otherwise this would be 5 stars. Drinks are awesome and the vibe of the place is really cool. Also love the wall of retro councils. Just maybe work on some of the broken cabinets lol.

If you love classic arcade games and your in Indianapolis then you should definitely check this place out. They have a large selection of games and you can play for free if you get a drink. Even if your not into arcade games it would still be a cool place to hang out with friends. They have an outdoor area that would be nice in the summer, I was there in March lol so not so nice outside. Game selection isn't as good as i hoped. Skeeball was fun but cramped upstairs and usually line to play. Beer + slushy drink was $30. Couch area was fun to chill though.

We went on a Saturday night I believe and it was packed. It's a cool place. Does not serve food but they do have themed mixed drinks that are pretty cool looking. I got the Lisa Frank. They have a upstairs and are dog friendly. It is a pretty cool arcade bar. We will for sure be back.

Excellent hang out fun spot in downtown Indy! My latest visit to 16-Bit with a group of coworkers was a blast for all! Although the bar doesn't serve food, outside food is permitted, and there's more than plenty seats for patrons. Outdoor patio seating is also available with gas firepits for colder days. The beverage menu is mostly local craft beers on tap, and cocktails mostly named after 80s celebrities. A s'mores style cocktail was my choice, which was bold and rich with a touch of sweetness. Had a great time! This was my first time and I cant wait to go back! Loved all the games, giant light brite, skee ball, arcade games and one of my faves, super mario 3! Nice and open layout. However, a lot of the games require some TLC but are still functional. Still fun to go check out for a drink and play some skeeball. If you like this place also look into Tappers and Level Up. Boss Battle Games is also an all-ages option.

Pretty contemporary/modern feel unlike the Ohio locations. Great place. A lot of room. Great game selections tho I didn't see frogger, defender or NBA Jam. By far the best arcade bar in Indy. Not the best place if you want a nightlife atmosphere but great place for a date or afternoon adventure.

16-Bit has been one of my favorite spots in Indy for the past few years! The atmosphere is great and drinks are reasonably priced. Most importantly, the staff is absolutely wonderful. I witnessed a medical emergency happen to a patron last weekend, and staff was quick to respond, remained calm, and knew exactly what to do in the situation. As someone who works in the medical field, this was super impressive to see. I always love coming here for the vibes but seeing how caring, kind, and competent the staff

Such a cool place! Great beer selection and a ton of old school arcade and pinball games. Several comfortable couch areas with big tvs for game watching. Outside has a big patio with jenga and other games. We were stopped by early on a Monday so it was pretty slow and we had our pick of games. They don't serve food onsite. They are very dog friendly! Definitely worth a visit.

The staff was so great with our private event and I like how they gave everyone wristbands for our bar package so they could easily track but we could still have access to all the games etc.

Ehh. It's okayyyyyy... It's very now & hip but the games aren't the super popular ones you probably remember as a kid and when you have a stranger over your shoulder breathing in your ear waiting for their turn, it kinda kills the buzz. The drinks on the other hand are F-U-N!! I recommend the cherry slush with Fireball and my date had a Cheech Marin... Also, don't forget to notice the wallpaper when there... It's the BEST part of the whole place!! At least for me.

Fantastic place!!! Go and drink, and you get to play for free as long as you keep on drinking. Soda counts I'm pretty sure too, but they have some amazing and creative cocktails, plus beer for any taste. Shoutout to the gender neutral bathrooms (single stall) as well!
